Dong Kyung sat on the floor of her living room, folding laundry, thoughts turned inward of last night's experience with Myeol Mang. Seeing his world through his eyes, touching his hand, his refusal at her touch pains her heart. She saw deep sadness, pain in those dark lonely eyes, sadness around those thick lips, no wonder he never smiles or laughs, not if everything around him dies, then he has no reason to love nor find happiness.

Faintly the doorbell dings, not expecting any visitors, she glances towards the door with a surprised expression. Rising, she walks to the door, cautiously opens, "Who…" Her brother, Seon Kyung smiles, salutes, appearing very happy at seeing his older sister. Coming out onto the roof, she says, "Oh, I was intimidated for no reason. What? Why?" Seon Kyung excitedly asks, "Why? Did you do something wrong? Did you have a fight with Hyungnim?" She rolls her eyes, clearly her brother is referring to Myeol Mang as her boyfriend, she says, "Hyungnim, my foot. You should have called first." He looks down at his feet, disappointed, says, "Why? Is Hyungnim coming over?" She sighs, annoyed says, "Ahh. This…" as she lashes out at her brother. He says, "You normally stay home on weekends. So I just came. Well, you know, can you let me borrow some money?" Surprised, clears her throat, asks, "What? Why? What kind of trouble did you cause again?" He pitches his voice higher, "No, no trouble. I want to attend an academy." Dong Kyung's voice rises in surprise, "An academy?" Looking down at his shoes, embarrassed, says, "I want to get a license. Personal colorist. I heard that's big now." Growing impatient, annoyance reflected in her tone, "Hey, Tak Seon Kyung, what did you major in?" He replies, "Leisure sports, but I have a talent. I was very sensitive to colors when I dressed, even as a child. You know that as well, right?" Reaching her limits, she tells him, "If you are going to talk nonsense, leave. I am tired. Do I have to listen to something like this even on the weekend. When I sent you to a computer academy, you got into gaming. When I sent you to a culinary school, you quit because you said that you would gain weight. You said you would learn Jiu Jitsu, but you quit saying that it hurts when you get hit. You are like that. You, really…are you going to live like this even after I die?" Releasing a pent up sigh, feels deflated after her long tirade, that has fallen on deaf ears. Still, she has not found the courage to tell her brother of her impending death. On his part, he is confused, retorts, "If you aren't going to let me borrow, just don't. Why talk about living and dying and stuff like that? Never mind. I am at fault for bringing it up. What would you know? When you don't even have a dream." Puzzled by his words, she says, "What? Whose fault is it?" He shuffles around, hands in his pockets, asks, "Are you saying it's because of me?" Gazing up at her younger brother, she angrily responds, "Then, whose fault do you think it is, that I live like this without a dream?" Angrily he says, "If you don't like it, then quit your job. All you have to do is quit, isn't that right? Why use me as an excuse?" Looking downward, quietly responding, "If I quit with what money do I clean up after you when you cause trouble?" Seon Kyung yells, "Who asked you to clean up after me? I will take care of it myself. Quite frankly, you did it because you wanted to. Don't blame me. Frankly are you the only orphan? I am an orphan too. But I have a dream, you know. I have things I want to do, you know. Never mind. What good is talking to you. How could you understand me, when I don't understand you either? Never mind I will take care of it myself. I'd rather die than live like you." She listens to his rant, but his last words hurt and hit home far too closely. She says, "Hey, what did you just say now?" Angrily, she grabs hold of her brother's jacket, pulls, his voice rises, "Let go! You told me to leave, didn't you? Hey!" Seon Kyung looses his balance, falls down. She reaches, holds out her hand to help him up, but angrily he refuses help. Concerned, she asks, "Hey, let me see. Are you okay?" He shakes off her help, mumbles, "never mind" and stalks down the stairs. Dong Kyung stands, tears brim in corners of her eyes, unaware of her audience member until she hears his cool voice speaking. A sense of dread comes over her spine at his chilly presence.
