Sometime during their conversation, Myeol Mang returned to the rooftop apartment, climbing the stairs, found the siblings in a heated conversation. He stood over by the railing quietly absorbing their angry interaction, amused as Seon Kyung fled nearly in tears at his sister's harsh words.
Sitting on the brick wall, legs crossed, hands neatly folded on his knees, says, "Love it seems there isn't much to it. He was sincere about everything he said." Myeol Mang points to his ears, huge smile, enjoys teasing Dong Kyung. She sighs, her hand grips the doorknob, says, "I am in no mood to deal with you now." Persisting, he comments, "Isn't it too much, when you are trying desperately to save him?" Grinning, he leans back against the wall, places hands in the pockets of his grey trench coat, waiting for a response. Turning around, she faces his direction, at last giving him the satisfaction of seeing her reaction. Dropping her shoulders, an annoyed tone, says, "It's none of your business." She turns back towards the door, roughly grabs the doorknob, stops upon hearing his sarcastic words, "Why? Are you going to forgive him again? Aren't you mistaken? That the one forgiving is the nicer one. That being nice is winning." He stands behind, watches her back, wonders how she will react to his words. Slowly, she faces his direction, sees a sarcastic smile play along his lips, a mischief look in dark eyes. Softly she says, "It must have bothered you when I said that. Sorry, okay?" Myeol Mang smiles, says, "Yes. You bother me. You continue to do so." Sighing heavily, she grips the doorknob, shakes her head, says, "I got it. Let's just stop for today, please." She yanks the door open, but stops from entering the apartment at his next words.
He continues smiling, cruelly asks, "What would happen if I kill him right now? There are many ways. I just have to bring one of the dooms out there upon him. Would you still forgive me when I do that? Would you be able to love me?" Angrily she slams the door, turns facing him directly, says, "Take back what you just said." She glares into his dark eyes, frowns as he continues talking. Still jesting, he says, "Strange, I am just curious." Dong Kyung walks closely to stand by the mischievous man, glaring, angrily says, "I said take it back." At this point, they stand closely, a showdown, neither one willing to back down from their view points.
The sunshine backlights their images, a petite woman looks up into the image of an imposing man, with a devilish grin. Their eyes lock, smiling, he says, "Do you know how many stars disappear per second? 7.9 billion disappear. Who are you? Are you better than a star? Tell me. Why do you need to live? You are just like that. I want to throw a rock at a calm lake, and you happened to be the rock that was the nearest. A very convenient coincidence." She stares into his hateful black eyes, says, "I wish you would die. You…I wish you would die. I wish you could experience death. Then, you would know how I feel." Unfazed by her hateful words, nor angry eyes, he challenges, "Is that right?"
A gust of wind blows her hair all around, sweeps into her face, covers her eyes, a chillness covers the air. Opening her eyes, she finds they are standing in a deserted forest, with bare trees, brown and orange colored leaves scattered across the ground. Brushing her hair aside, looks up, finds Myeol Mang handing her a gun, he says, "If that's your wish. Try to fulfill it, your wish." Trembling she holds the gun, unable to raise it and point the gun at this crazy man. Instead he angrily grabs the gun, points it under his chin, prepared to fire the gun, clicks it but no bullet comes out. Holding the gun up, foolishly grinning, says, "It's not a wish I can fulfill, it seems." He cocks the gun, fires up into the air, scares some birds high into the sky, empties the used bullets on the ground. In a serious tone, says, "If I could, I would have died a long time ago." She says, "If I can't kill you, I will at least make you miserable. So that you can live miserably forever." Their showdown continues, neither budging, both resolved to make the other angrier. Unfazed by her words, he says, "Try it, if you can." Turning, he prepares to walk away, when he remembers, walks back over to Dong Kyung, grabs her hand, says, "When you become miserable just by me refusing to hold your hand once."
