Miraculous Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet Season 1

Many of us know the story of Miraculous, but what if their story was different. In the Pokémon world, Arceus infused the power of his plates to 19 Pokémon to create the Miraculous, which grant humans the powers of Pokémon. When one of these Miraculous falls into evil hands, it's up to Ladybug and Cat Noir to save the region of Paldea.

2. Episode 1

Miraculous Pokémon: Scarlet/Violet

Season 1 Episode 1: Ladybug and Cat Noir (Origins Part 1)

Our story begins in a dark, mysterious room, filled with little butterflies, whose only source of light comes from a large window that leaves an ominous purple glow all across the room. In the darkness, a little purplish butterfly-like creature called Nooroo recounts a tale to a man who lurks within the shadows as he looks at a locket with a picture of a woman inside.

"Many millennia ago, in a world filled with strife and turmoil, wars had waged between people and Pokémon leaving nothing but chaos and destruction in its wake. Many had prayed for peace in hopes to end all conflict, and eventually their prayers were answered. The Mythical Pokémon Arceus had heard their cries and bestowed upon the world the powers of its legendary plates which contain the attributes of all Pokémon. By combining the power of the plates with the spirits of heroic Pokémon, they became… the Miraculous. Magical jewels that can grant the wielder not only the powers of the Arceus plate, but also the Pokémon they are infused with. Throughout history, brave heroes have been chosen to use the powers for the good of humans and Pokémon alike to make sure peace and love will always prevail. Two of these Miraculous are more powerful than the others, for they contain the energy of Arceus's 'Legend Plate'; the earrings of the Five Star Pokémon Ledian, which provides the power of creation; and the ring of the Cruel Pokémon Liepard, which grants the power of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both of these jewels at the same time, shall be able to access the ultimate power of Arceus itself."

The man in the shadows interrupts the creature as he closes the brooch, which reveals to a purple button-like brooch with an insect symbol on it, and proclaims, "I want that ultimate power, Nooroo. I must have those Miraculous!"

Cowering, Nooroo responds, "but nobody knows where these Miraculous are!"

"I found you though, my little Nooroo." The man replies, "Your Miraculous… reminds me of its powers again."

Nooroo explains "The Venomoth Brooch, empowered by the Insect Plate, allows you to give someone the power of a Pokémon and to make that person your devoted follower!"

The man sinisterly says "And when it comes to luring superheroes, what could be better than creating supervillains?"

Hearing this frightened Nooroo and tries to explain, "But Master, the Miraculous are not meant to be used for evil purposes!

The man stomps his foot on the ground causing the resting butterflies to fly off and angrily says, "I must have this ultimate power!" He points to Nooroo, "Your Miraculous is in my control! I am your master now, and you must obey me."

"Yes, master" Nooroo said sadly.

The man puts on the brooch and exclaims "Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!"

Nooroo is then sucked into the brooch as it glows and changes into a pendent with similarities to the Pokémon Venomoth. The man is then engulfed by the surrounding butterflies and his attire transforms.

The man now wears a high dark purple dress shirt without a collar, over which has a darker purple jacket with a translucent butterfly shaped lapel with lines similar to Venomoth wings. His head now has a silver/gray cowl over the majority of his face and neck with a three-point crest on his forehead (similar to Venomoth). With the outfit, he also wields a dark purple cane with a purple gemstone on the top of it.

The man fully transforms says, "From this day on, I shall be known as… Hawk Moth!" Hawk Moth laughs evilly as the butterflies fly away.

The scene changes to a small massage shop in someone's studio apartment, where we see an old man (Master Fu) giving a customer a massage while his Torterra is asleep in the corner of the room. Suddenly, a small bluish turtle-like creature called Wayzz awakens from a nap and flies from the gramophone to his master.

"Master, Master!" Wayzz whispers as the laying down customer hears tries to get up.

Master Fu quickly chants "Master, master… chanting, it's all part of the treatment. Master, master…" as he then quickly begins to push the customer out the door. "Thank you for coming, see you again next week!" He hurriedly closes the door which awakens Torterra.

Wayzz flies out from Fu's pocket and tells him, "Master, the Venomoth Miraculous, I felt its aura."

Concerned, the old master responded, "I thought it had been lost forever!"

Wayzz says, "But Master, it's a negative aura. I fear it may have fallen into the hands of a dark power!"

"We must find Nooroo and his Miraculous" said Master Fu as he paced to the center of the room. "If it has gotten into the wrong hands, there's no telling what evil will come upon the world!" The master raises his right arm, which has a bracelet with a charm that resembles a blue turtle shell with silver lines and a water droplet in the center, and says "Time to transform! Wayzz…" before he could finish, he feels sudden back pain and collapses.

Concerned, Torterra rushes over to help his master and acts as a support to help him get back up.

Wayzz flies over and says "Please, Master. Be reasonable. You are-"

"Still young!" the master interrupts as he leans on Torterra, "I'm only 186." As he says that, he looks over at his concerned Torterra. Sighing in agreement, he says "But you're right, Wayzz. I can no longer do it alone." Master Fu begins to walk over to the gramophone and says "We'll need some help" before opening a panel on the side of the gramophone and pressing buttons inside the panel. These buttons allowed the gramophone to open up revealing an octagon shaped box with an Arceus symbol on top, The Miracle Box.

In an aerial view of Mesagoza's center plaza, the view zooms in on a local bakery, Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie.

Downstairs in the bakery, the head baker, Tom Dupain, is making a fresh batch of bread with his partner Pokémon Dachsbun.

Tom takes a deep whiff of the bread and says to his partner, "Ahhh, nothing beats the smells of freshly baked baguettes, right boy?" The Dog Pokémon barks with excitement over the smell. Tom continues "These will surely put a smile on every trainer's face."

Upstairs, his wife, Sabine Cheng, is preparing breakfast in the kitchen while her partner Pokémon Mienshao is doing some standing yoga poses in the living room. Sabine yells out to her daughter, "Marinette! Your alarm's been going off for 15 minutes! You're going to be late for your first day back at school!" With no response, she turns to her Pokémon and says "Mienshao, can you go wake up Marinette?" The Martial Arts Pokémon nods and heads upstairs to Marinette's room.

Mienshao opens the wooden door on the floor to enter Marinette's room and walks over to her bed. As she nudges her to wake up, Marinette just brushes it off and hides under her covers. Frustrated, Mienshao holds her paws together calmly then swiftly thrusts her paw forward which jolts Marinette awake. She screams surprised as she gets up then looks toward Mienshao. A tired Marinette asks "Was the Fake Out really necessary?" Mienshao puts paws back together and respectfully bows her head. "Alright, I'm coming down" she said as she rubs the Pokémon's head.

She starts walking downstairs with Mienshao behind her, "Morning Mom" as she walks into the kitchen and kisses her mom on the cheek. As she sits at the table and prepares her breakfast, she unenthusiastically tells her "I bet you anything Chloé will be in my class again."

Sabine responds, "Four years in a row, is that possible?"

"Definitely. Lucky me!" Marinette said unhappily.

Her mother happily says, "Don't say that! It's the start of a new year, I'm sure everything will be just fine!" Marinette smiles and nods as she puts down the cereal; but then several things get knocked over, spilling and falling to the floor. Marinette groans but her mother rubs her cheek and comforts her. Sabine continues to say, "Cheer up sweetie, think about it this way, this is the year you FINALLY get your first Pokémon."

Hearing this, Marinette smiles and says, "Honestly, the thought of getting my first partner almost seems worth tolerating Chloé"

After she gets dressed into her school uniform, she meets her father in the bakery with Dachsbun as he sings La Marseillaise and hands her a box of fresh baked macarons.

Excited, she tells her father, "Dad, these are awesome!"

"Glad you like them," her dad responds.

"Thank you Dad, my class will love them! You're the best!" she tells her dad as she takes the box.

"We're the best," he replies as he picks up Marinette's sketchbook, "thanks to your amazing designs." Marinette hugs him but drops the box in the process. Thankfully, Dachsbun manages to catch it and pass it to Tom before he hands it back to Marinette.

Marinette giggles and says "thanks" as Sabine hands her school bag over and she kisses her mom's cheek. Tom leans down and she kisses his cheek as well. She pets Dachsbun on the head before rushing towards the door. "See you tonight!" she said to her parents as she left.

After Marinette steps outside (and almost trips), she takes a moment to enjoy the beauty of Mesagoza. Shops all over the plaza, a flock of Wattrel flies overhead, people and Pokémon enjoying the beautiful day as they browse the many stores. She proceeds to head to the school with the box of macarons in hand and her backpack on her back, ready to face the new year.

After losing track of time, she tries to rush across the plaza to try to get to school on time but notices an old man, struggling to walk with his cane, (Master Fu) about to slowly cross the street and he doesn't notice the speeding Cyclizar heading towards him. Concerned, she looks around to see if anyone would help, but notices that every other person is distracted by their phones. So Marinette rushes over, grabs the man's wrist, and hurries him across. The rush of wind from the Cyclizar passes causes her to fall and drop a lot of the macarons on the ground. She tries to pick them up but people just step on them as they walk by without noticing.

Trying to catch her breath, Master Fu says "Thank you, Miss," as he looks down at the broken macarons and continues to say, "oh my, what a disaster."

As Marinette picks up what's left of the macarons, says responds "Don't worry, I'm no strangers to disasters." In a moment of kindness, she opens the box and offers one to the old man and continues to say, "Besides, there are still a few left" and he grabs a macaron.

"Mmmh, delicious!" Master Fu said as he bites into the macaron and smiles gratefully.

Marinette smiles back as she closes the box, but her smile turns to panic as she hears the school bell. "Oh no, I'm gonna be late!" she said as she rushes up the stairs to the academy, "Ah, have a nice day, sir!"

As he watches her run off, he looks at a small box that resembles a wooden Pokéball with a small Arceus symbol on it and says "Thank you very much, young lady." He places the Pokéball back in his pocket and walks off towards the bakery, holding his cane behind his back.

Marinette rushes up the stairs so she won't be late for class. She soon rushes through the doors into her new academy, Naranja/Uva Academy, a prestigious school and students learn everything they can about Pokémon. Through the main hall and up the school's stairs, she hurried into the classroom where she stumbles but continues like nothing happened.

Just as class is about to begin, the teacher Miss Bustier notices one of her students being distracted while listening to music in the back row. She tries to tell her students politely "Nino, Why don't you have a seat in the front row this year?" Groggily, Nino grabs his bag and moans as he moves to the front row.

Marinette sits in the second row but gets startled by a hand slamming on the table, and that hand was from Chloé Bourgeois, the daughter of the mayor of Mesagoza. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng" Chloé said snarkily.

Marinette said disappointedly, "Ugh. Here we go again."

"That's my seat." Chloé responded with authority.

Marinette looks up to Chloé and says, "But Chloé, this has always been my seat."

Sabrina, Chloé's "friend," sits next to her and says, "Not anymore! New school, new year, new seats!"

Chloé points over to a student and says, "So why don't you just go and sit beside that new girl over there?"

"But..." Marinette tried to argue but got interrupted.

"Listen." Chloé said smugly, "Adrien's arriving today, and since that's going to be his seat, this is going to be my seat. Get it?"

Puzzled, Marinette asks "Who's Adrien?"

Chloé asks surprised then laughs with Sabrina and asks her, "Can you believe she doesn't know who Adrien is?" She turns back to Marinette and continues "What rock have you been living under?"

"He's only a famous model." Sabrina said to Marinette.

"And I am his best friend," Chloé continues to say with too much pride, "He adores me. Go on, move!"

After hearing all of this, the new girl, Alya, gets up and angrily tells Chloé, "Hey! Who elected you Queen of Seats?"

Chloé responds with sass, "Oh, Look Sabrina! We've got a little do-gooder in our class this year." She turns to Alya and says with attitude, "What are you gonna do, super newbie? Shoot beams at me with your glasses?"

Alya angrily responds, "Wouldn't you like to know?" She walks away and grabs Marinette by the hand as she pulls her to the other seats, "Come on."

Marinette trips and falls, spilling all but one macaron on the ground, "Sorry, sorry, sorry..."
she says as she tries to pick herself up.

"Has everyone found a seat?" Miss Bustier asked as class is about to start.

While Marinette looks disappointed at the empty box of macarons, Alya tries to cheer her up by saying, "Chillax, girl. No biggie."

Marinette puts down the box and says "I so wish I can handle Chloé the way you do."

Alya pulls out her phone and responds, "You mean the way Ash Ketchum does it." She shows her a picture of Ash with his Pokémon as he accepted the World Coronation Series trophy. "He faced many intense battles and always knew that all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing." She points over at Chloé and continues "Well, that girl over there is evil, and we are the good people. We can't let her get away with it."

Marinette says sadly, "Well, that's easier said than done. She likes to make my life miserable."

"That's 'cause you let her, girl! You just need more confidence!" Alya says.

Marinette grabs a macaron from the box and gives half to Alya. She smiles as she tells her new friend, "Marinette."

"Alya" Alya says and smiles as well as they both eat half of the macaron.

Miss Bustier writes her name on the chalkboard and tells her class, "For those of you who don't yet know me, I'm Miss Bustier. I'll be your teacher this year."

Chloé looks disappointed at the empty seat in front of her and mutters under her breath, "Ugh, he should have been here by now."

Outside the school, Adrien is running up the stairs and about to enter through the school gateway but Nathalie runs up behind him with his bodyguard and tries to make him change his mind.

Nathalie pleads with him before he enters, "Adrien, please reconsider! You know what your father wants!"

"But, this is what I wanna do!" Adrien tried to argue but stops when he notices and old man, Wang Fu, who has fallen on the ground and struggling to get his cane. Adrien rushes over and helps him get back up.

Appreciative, Wang Fu says, "Thank you, young man."

Adrien smiles at his good deed, but he turn and his smile turns to shock as Natalie and his bodyguard are now blocking the way. "Just wanna go to school like everybody else" he said sadly, "What's so wrong with that? Please don't tell my father about all this."

They then begin to walk back down the school steps and leave as Fu watches them with smile. Then he walks away with his cane on his shoulder as he starts whistling.

The scene returns to Miss Bustier's classroom as class is about over for the day.

Miss Bustier said to her class as they were about to leave, "Those of you who have battle studies, Ms. Dendra is expecting you in the east plaza. The rest of you can head down to the library. And don't forget, tomorrow is the evaluation quiz to determine the partner Pokémon you'll be receiving."

Everyone is excited at the thought of getting their first Pokémon, but Ivan randomly shouts out "Kim!" and prepares to swing a punch at him.

"Ivan, what is going on?" Miss Bustier asks with shock.

Ivan responds, "It's Kim! I'm so gonna get..." as he angrily balls up his fist.

Miss Bustier interrupts and says, "Ivan, go to the principal's office."

At first surprised, Ivan rumbles the paper note Kim gave to him and walks away angrily.

At Hawk Moth's Lair, the window opens up slowly letting in sunlight on Hawk Moth and all of the butterflies in the room.

"Negative emotions." Hawk Moth said aloud. "This is perfect. Just what I need. Anger, sadness..." A butterfly lands in his hand and says "Burn a hole into his heart, my horrible akuma." He begins to swirl his other hand around, which collects glowing purple dust and moves it over the butterfly. With his hands pressed together over the butterfly, the glowing dust infuses the butterfly with dark energy, turning it into an akuma. (A black with glowing and translucent purple highlights) Hawk Moth releases the akuma from his hand and says "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!" as the akuma flies out the window and into the city.

At the office of Principal Denis Damocles, the academy principal and assistant director under Director Clavell, Ivan opens the door and tries to walk in without knocking.

Annoyed, Mr. Damocles says to the student, "Excuse me, young man. Hasn't anyone ever taught you to knock? Go on. Out you go, try it again!" as his Noctowl hoots in agreement. But Ivan was equally annoyed as he walked back and closed the door behind him.

Ivan stands outside the office and hears the principal say "Go on, knock," but before he could knock, the akuma flies into the paper wad. The paper wad turns black and a glowing light mask resembling the three-pointed crest of Venomoth appears on Ivan's face.

Though the light mask, Ivan can hear a voice talking to him. "Stoneheart, I am Hawk Moth. I can sense your immense anger so I'm going to grant you the power of the Armor Pokémon, Tyranitar, to seek revenge on those who have wronged you."

Ivan smiles and replies "Okay, Hawk Moth." Soon, he becomes engulfed in a mysterious dark purple cloud.

Mr. Damocles waits in his office for the student and says, "Well, come on in."

But instead of a knock, the door gets broken down and Mr. Damocles stumbles out of his chair and Noctowl flaps away in shock.

In the doorway, stood a giant golem with a Tyranitar-like head, pointed teeth and glowing chartreuse eyes, Stoneheart. His body was covered with green, armor-like hide with spikes protruding out of his shoulders and back. Both sides of his chest, the center of his back, and his knees have two triangular holes. There is a gray, diamond-shaped patch of scales covering his belly and a smaller one on its back. He has three claws on his feet and hands. A ring of spikes surrounds the tip of his tail. In anger, Stoneheart shouts "KIMMM!"

In the Library, Marinette and Alya are looking at her phone when a sudden shake causes them to be thrown to the floor while the other students run and panic.

As Marinette holds her head in shock, Alya runs up and grabs her wrist to pull her up. She says, "Come on!" as pulls Marinette over to the TVs where everyone is seeing Stoneheart through the security cameras.

"Did you hear that?" says as they point to the monitor in disbelief.

Now outside, Stoneheart shouts out "KIMMM!" and proceeds to look for him.

Through the new giant hole in his office wall, Mr. Damocles is seen frantically calling on his phone and says, "Hello? Is this the police? Get me the army!"

Back in the library, while everyone else is running away, Marinette says with shock, "Wh-what's going on? That looks like some weird Tyranitar, but he has Ivan's voice?"

Alya excitedly says "It's as if he's been transformed into a Pokémon powered supervillain!" She pulls out her phone and quickly checks its condition. "GPS, check. Battery, check. I am so outta here!" She then begins to run out of the library leaving Marinette behind.

Confused and scared, Marinette asks, "Hey! Where are you going?!"

Alya stops and turns around to say "Where there's a supervillain, there's always a superhero close behind! No way I'm missing this!"

Marinette tries to call out to Alya, "Are you crazy? We don't even have any Pokémon yet." But she was already long gone. Marinette looks back at the security camera screen.

"KIM!" Stoneheart says angrily as he uses Stone Edge on the ground then using Snarl towards the school's security camera causing it to break and showing a rainbow error screen. The resulting actions cause Marinette to wince in fear.

The scene turns towards the outside of a luxurious manor, the Agreste mansion, Wang Fu is outside with a little wooden Pokéball.

In the mansion's dining room, Nathalie is reading off questions as part of Adrien's schoolwork. "Who is the Champion of the Hoenn and their signature type?" asked Nathalie.

Adrien answers unenthusiastically, "Everyone thinks it was still Wallace who specialized in Water types, but he was eventually defeated and replaced by Steven Stone who, despite using the steel type pseudo legendary Metagross, uses a combination of Steel and Rock types."

"Excellent, Adrien." Nathalie responded.

Before she could continue, Gabriel Agreste, Nathalie's boss and Adrien's father, enters the room with his partner Pokémon, Volcarona. "Give me a minute, would you, Nathalie?" Mr. Agreste asked his assistant.

"Yes sir." Nathalie answered respectfully.

Gabriel angrily tells his son, "You are NOT going to school. I've already told you." Adrien became disheartened and turned to Nathalie in shock about how she told his father.

"But Father..." Adrien said as he tries to convince his father.

Gabriel interrupts "Everything you need is right here where I can keep an eye on you. I will not have you outside in that dangerous world."

"It's not dangerous, Father." Adrien said as he still tries to convince his father. "I'm always stuck in here by myself. Why can't I go out, make friends, and be a Pokémon trainer just like everybody else?"

Gabriel in a stern voice tells his son, "Because you are not like everyone else! You are my son!" He turns to Nathalie and says "Continue."

Nathalie, feeling sad for Adrien, tells him "We can leave it there for today if you have–" but Adrien runs away before she could finish, running past a portrait of him, his father and his mother.

Adrien runs up to his room and lies face down in bed when he hears some thumping, and goes outside to see the police trying to surround Stoneheart.

Officer Roger, head of the police force, commands, "Ready? Growlithes, Fire Spin!" All of the Growlithes the police force have shot out spirals of fire that created a circular wall of flames that surrounded Stoneheart, but he breaks through it and gets angrier.

"KIM!" Stoneheart shouted as he walked through the fire. He proceeds to stomp his foot hard on the ground (the move Bulldoze) when shakes up the ground causing all the police officers and their Pokémon to be sent flying back.

Adrien runs back to his room, hops on the couch in his room, and turns on his TV. On screen there is a press conference with the mayor of Mesagoza, André Bourgeois.

Mayor Bourgeois address to reporters, "I'm asking all Paldeans to stay home until this situation is under control."

But the News Crews keep bombarding him with questions. "Mr. Bourgeois. Mr. Bourgeois!"

The screen zooms out to show head news anchor, Nadja Chamack, as she reports the situation as footage of Stoneheart's rampage is playing, "As incredible as it seems, it's been confirmed that Mesagoza is indeed being attacked by a supervillain. The police have been struggling to keep the situation under control."

The camera view changes to another field reporter getting an interview with Officer Roger, who is now in an arm sling, "Be confident, the strong arm of the law will come crashing down on the..." he groans in pain as he tries to lift his broken arm, "I mean, the other arm."

Back in Marinette's room, she is watching the news report on her computer as she is cowering behind the back of her backwards facing chair.

"I hate first days back at school..." Marinette says with regret, when suddenly she sees a small wooden Pokéball on her desk, and says "Huh?"

In Adrien's room, he sees the same type of little wooden Pokéball on the table in front of him and says "Huh?"

In a split scene with Marinette and Adrien, they both ask aloud while confused "What's this doing here?" as they both open the little Pokéballs, revealing jewels inside. Marinette's Pokéball contains a pair of red earrings with a black dot towards the top, two bigger shiny blue ovals (resembling Ledian eyes) aligned in the center, and a band of yellow at the bottom connected between the two blue ovals. While Adrien's Pokéball contains a black ring with a cat's paw on it designed with yellow loops for each part of the paws and a purple glow in each loop. Suddenly, each of their jewels starts to glow in a blinding light.

In a view of just Marinette's room, a small creature that looks like a miniature version of Ledian, the kwami of creation Tikki, appears after the glow fades. Seeing this creature in front of her, it causes Marinette to scream in terror.

Marinette screamed "Ahh! Help! It's a tiny bug! A... a ghost! A... a bug-ghost!"

Tikki tries to calm her down by saying "Everything's okay! Don't be scared!"

But hearing that only makes Marinette to become more scared. "Ahh! Bug ghost talks!" she screamed again as she throws things at Tikki, which she dodges.

In Adrien's room, Plagg, a creature resembles a miniature Liepard and kwami of Destruction, appears the same way Tikki did, to Adrien's astonishment. After the light fades, Plagg begins to yawns.

Adrien, amazed, tries to reach out to touch Plagg and says "No way... Like the genie in the lamp!"

Plagg stops him and says "I met him once. So he grants wishes. Big deal! I'm way more personable! Plagg, nice to meet you. Ooh, swanky..." but he gets distracted flies off, touching random things.

Adrien tries to stop the little creature and says "No! Don't touch that! Come back here!"

But Plagg wasn't listening and kept flying around biting stuff, "Ooh! So shiny! Can you eat this?" he said as he tries to bite the game arcade's joystick "Argh, no, you can't! Ooh, what about this?" and flies off again.

Back in Marinette's room, Marinette continues throwing things at Tikki until she finds a glass cup.

"Listen, Marinette. I know everything may seem a bit strange to you..." Tikki tries to talk to Marinette but she gets interrupted when Marinette traps her in the glass cup, making her voice muffled as she continues to say "Okay, if that makes you feel safer..."

Confused, Marinette asks "What are you, and how do you know my name?"

Muffled through the glass, Tikki explains "I am a kwami, and my name is Tikki. Now just let me explain."

In Adrien's room, Plagg tries to eat the remote controller. Meanwhile, Adrien is climbing on his rock wall; when he gets to the highest point he jumps on Plagg, catching him; Plagg yells in surprise.

"I still don't know what you're doing here." Adrien said as he holds the creature tight.

Plagg vaguely responds and says "Look, I'm a kwami. I grant people the powers of Pokémon along with a special ability. Yours is the power of destruction, got it?"

"Uh-uh." Adrien said as he shakes his head.

"Good." Plagg said before he starts looking around, "Now, got anything to eat? I'm starving..."

Adrien gets up while still holding Plagg and asks "My dad's pranking me, right?" but then realizes "Wait, he couldn't be. He has no sense of humor."

Plagg flies out of Adrien's hands and sternly says "Your father must never know that I exist! Or anyone for that matter."

In Marinette's room again, Marinette is attempting to open the trapdoor and tries to yell downstairs "Mom! Dad!"

"No, no, no! Shh! No!" Tikki hurriedly says as she flies out of the glass. "I'm your friend, Marinette! You must trust me. You're the only one who can stop Stoneheart!"

In Master Fu's massage room, Wayzz still doubts if the "Chosen Ones" are the right ones as Master Fu closes the Miracle Box in the gramophone.

"Do you think they'll be up to it, Master?" Wayzz asked.

Wang Fu responds "I only got it wrong once. It will never happen again." but mutters under his breath as he closes the box and gramophone "At least I hope not."

While Marinette is kneeling on the floor of her room, she tries to convince Tikki she is not the right choice. "This must be some mistake! The only superpower I could possibly have is super-awkwardness..." she said then stops and rethinks, "I know! Alya would know! That's my friend. Well, at least I think she would... She loves superheroes! She'd totally be up for the job! You should totally go see her!"

Tikki flies closer to her and says, "Marinette, you are the chosen one!" as Marinette is taken aback.

In Adrien's room, Adrien tells Plagg while annoyed, "But I'm stuck here! I'm not even let to go to school! What good is a superhero who's imprisoned in his own house?!"

"No good." Plagg replies as he's rolling on top of a toilet paper roll. "That's why it's all going to change soon. If you're willing to change, that is." Adrien looks at the ring as Plagg says that.

In front of her standing mirror, Marinette puts on the Ledian earrings as she asks Tikki, "Okay, so all I have to do is break the object where the whatchama-call-it is hiding?"

Tikki responds, "It's called an akuma, which you must then capture."

"Got it! Capture it!" Marinette says before asking again, "And what's that charm thing again?"

"The Lucky Charm!" Tikki says happily, "It's your secret superpower!"

"This is all going too fast, Tikki." Marinette groans, "I-I... won't be able to pull this off!"

"Trust yourself, Marinette." Tikki says as she tries to cheer her up, "Just say 'Spots on'."

"Spots on?" Marinette says which activates the earrings, they begin to glow and suck Tikki into them. "Whoa! What is happening?!" asks Marinette as she transforms into Ladybug for the first time. Her costume is a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots, has a black collar on her neck, and is wearing white gloves. Her weapon, a yo-yo, is wrapped around her waist with a red string. She also wears a red mask with five black spot place on symmetrically, with waterlines of her eyes that are colored black.

Adrien puts on the Liepard ring as Plagg, now inside the toilet paper roll, tell him "Claws out! That's how you transform."

"Got it." Adrien says excitedly, "Plagg, claws out!" as his ring glows and begins to suck in Plagg.

"No, wait! I haven't finished explaining!-" Plagg tries to warn him but gets sucked into the ring as Adrien transforms into Cat Noir.

As he transformed, his eyes became cat eyes with green sclerae, dark green irises and slitted pupils. His hair becomes longer and untamed and it covers his normal ears. He dawned a textured black skin-tight catsuit with metal details and purple highlights. He wears matching gloves that have claws on the fingertips and boots with a hidden wedge, silver toes, and paw-shaped treads. He has a golden bell on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his costume, and a long belt that wraps around his waist and hangs out from the back like a tail. The belt (tail) has a sickle-like shape toward the tip. He wears black cat ears and a black mask, with pinkish purple around the eye holes, to cover his face. When transformed, his ring turns black and gains bright yellow rosettes that resemble a paw print on its face. He keeps his staff attached to his lower back.

"Too cool!" Cat Noir says to himself.

Marinette, now as Ladybug, is standing in front of her mirror still confused with her suit. She groans as she asks "How's this thing come off?" She then tries to look for the kwami, "Tikki, if you can hear me, I want my normal clothes back. I'm not going anywhere!" before she can continue, sees the news on her computer.

"After breaking the several structures in the main plaza, Stoneheart seems to be continuing his rampage towards the east. The monster seems to be unstoppable!" Nadja says on the news.

Ladybug then sees Alya on her bike going after Stoneheart and she gasps "Alya?"

She suddenly hears her mom's voice coming from downstairs, "Marinette! Did you get home okay?"

Ladybug panics because she isn't supposed to let her mon see her. "Uhh... yeah, Mom! Just super!" she says as she goes upstairs and onto her balcony.

Sabine opens the trapdoor into her daughter's room to see how she's doing, "Marinette? You in here?" But as she looks around, she doesn't see her and calls down to her husband, "Tom, we better call the school."

On Marinette's balcony, Ladybug talks to herself saying "Okay, I have Pokémon powers!..." She then pulls out her yo-yo and continues "and apparently this amazing super yo-yo thingy?" She then proceeds to launch the yo-yo out randomly into the city where it wraps onto a gargoyle statue, she pulls the yo-yo and it whisks her to the other side of the city.

In the streets of Mesagoza, Cat Noir is tightrope walking over his staff and confidently says "I'm starting to get the hang of this." Suddenly, he hears screaming and sees Ladybug falling towards him. They both fall and get hung by the yo-yo which is attached to Cat Noir's staff. While upside-down, Cat Noir says "Well, hey there. Nice of you to drop in."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose." Ladybug apologizes.

After they get down, Cat Noir introduces himself. "I bet you're the partner my kwami told me about. I'm... Cat Noir. Yeah, Cat Noir. And you?"

"I'm Ma... err... Mar... uhh..." Ladybug almost says her name but pulls the yo-yo and it hits Cat Noir's head causing her to correct herself, "Madly Clumsy. I'm so clumsy."

Cat Noir grabs his staff off the ground and replies "No sweat, clumsy girl. I'm learning the ropes too."

Suddenly, the ground trembles and Cat Noir sees a building falling as he pole-vaults to where it is.

After he gets to the top of the building, Ladybug shouts to him, "Hey! Wait, where are you going?"

"To save Paldea, right?" Cat Noir says as he jumps away.

"Ugh." Ladybug mutters then tries to tell herself "Trust yourself, trust yourself..." before she uses the yo-yo to swing around and follows Cat Noir.

At the eastern field in Mesagoza plaza, Ms. Dendra has brought out her Medicham and Hariyama to show the students different combat techniques when suddenly Stoneheart appears.

"KIMMM!" Stoneheart shouts, "So, who's the wuss now?"

Dendra gets frustrated at her class being disrupted and commands her Pokémon to attack. "Medicham, Axe Kick! Hariyama, Close Combat!" Medicham jumps up high and lunges towards Stoneheart while Hariyama thrusted his fists with power, but when the moves made contact, Stoneheart just grew in size.

With his size now increased, Stoneheart angrily pushes off the fighting type Pokémon knocked them down by howling loud which unleashes a dark colored soundwave (Snarl). The rest of the students try to run away from the fight but Kim trips and falls.

Before Stoneheart can do anything, Cat Noir jumps down towards him and says, "Hey, it's not very nice to pick on people who are smaller than you." Kim runs away as he says this.

"I guess you're talking about yourself." Stoneheart replies as he proceeds to attack him. "Stone Edge!" he then slams his hand on the ground as glowing stone spikes emerge out of the ground towards Cat Noir, but he dodges.

In his lair, Hawk Moth says aloud to himself "Everything's going to plan. The Ledian and Liepard Miraculous have been activated. Here they come to save the day, and now my supervillain will destroy them."

Cat Noir tries to hit Stoneheart with a barrage of Shadow Claws, but he gets bigger with every strike.

Frightened, Cat Noir asks aloud, "Where are you, partner?"

On a nearby rooftop, Ladybug keeps telling herself "Oh, I can't. I'm not gonna be able to do it..." Stoneheart picks up and throws a heavy park bench away. The bench is about to hit Alya but Cat Noir throws his staff to block it and saves her. This distracted Cat Noir enough for Stoneheart to grab him.

While still on the roof, she hears Alya yell to her, "What are you waiting for, super red bug? The world is watching you!"

Hearing her friend, Ladybug suddenly gets filled with courage as her heartbeat was heard off-screen. She swings her yo-yo in a circular motion and launches a flurry of Air Slashes towards Stoneheart. After he gets hit, she swings onto the field ready to fight.

"Pokémon cruelty? How shameful!" Ladybug says as she swings her yo-yo again, this time firing a barrage of stars (Swift). Being hit by all of those stars caused Stoneheart to tumble and fall backwards, releasing Cat Noir as he rolls back too.

Alya sees this and excitedly says "Yes!"

After Cat Noir stops rolling, Ladybug goes over to him and says "Sorry it took so long, Cat Noir."

"It's cool, Wonderbug." Cat Noir says as he gets up ready to fight again, "Now, let's kick his rocky behind! Night Slash!" and his claws begin to glow light blue.

"Wait!" Ladybug stops him by grabbing his tail and pulling him back "We have to be careful, much like in Pokémon battles, our health is limited." She tries to explain. "Once our health is depleted, we'll transform back. Leaving us unprotected."

Cat Noir responds "Well, we can't just do nothing," and continues to lunge forward.

Still holding onto his tail, she says "But haven't you noticed? He gets bigger and stronger with every physical attack. We have to do something different."

"Different how?" Cat Noir asks.

Ladybug concerned replies, "Uhhh... I don't know, my special attacking moves won't do enough damage."

Cat Noir then says "Okay then. Let's try our special powers instead. Cataclysm! Apparently I destroy whatever I touch."

Ladybug then says unenthusiastically, "I don't need a superpower to destroy everything." Cat Noir then tries his Cataclysm on the thrown bench, "No, don't do that!" Ladybug tries to warn him but he doesn't listen and destroys the bench.

"Cool." Cat Noir says excitedly. "It's just you and me now! Time to rumble, soon-to-be rubble!" and he then runs towards Stoneheart.

"Cat Noir! Wait!" Ladybug tries to tell Cat Noir but he wasn't listening.

Cat Noir leaps towards Stoneheart to try and defeat him, but realizes his power is not activated anymore.

"Uh-oh." Cat Noir said realizing, "I guess I only get one shot to use my power." He waves sheepishly before Stoneheart kicks him away.

Ladybug says annoyed, "And now your health has been cut by 50% bringing you closer to transforming back. Didn't your kwami explain anything to you?"

"I guess I was a little excited about my new life." Cat Noir answered.

"Well, up to me." Ladybug says determined, "Lucky Charm!" She slings her yo-yo in the air and as it spins, a red diving suit with black spots appears.

Cat Noir sees this, gets confused and asks, "Super power?"

Ladybug examines the suit and says "My kwami told me I have to break the object where the whatchama-call-it... er, the akuma is hiding."

Cat Noir points over to Stoneheart as he walks towards them and says "Well, he's made entirely out of stone."

Hearing this, Ladybug looks closer and realizes "His right hand, it's still closed. He never opens it. It's like the Russian dolls. The object isn't on him; it's hidden in his fist!"

"So what's your plan?" asked Cat Noir.

Ladybug began to think, "Hmmm..." before looking around. She spots Stoneheart's right arm, Alya and a water hose. "This!" she tells Cat Noir before she grabs the hose and ties it to the suit. She then ties Cat Noir's feet with her yo-yo, "Don't resist. Trust me." she tells him before swinging him in a circle around her.

"This girl's crazy!" Cat Noir says as he gets thrown and Stoneheart grabs him.

"Catch me if you can!" she says as she jumps towards Stoneheart while holding the wetsuit. Stoneheart drops the akumatized object and grabs Ladybug midair.

Stoneheart pulls Ladybug close and says, "Silly little girl, don't you know the rock always beats bug?"

Ladybug smiles and replies, "Yep, and I also know water beats rock..." She then looks over towards Alya and shouts "Alya, the tap!"

Alya goes to the water tap and opens it. As the water flows through the hose, it inflates the suit causing Stoneheart lets go of her. Ladybug runs over and breaks the akumatized object, which releases the Akuma as it flies away. In a dark cloud, Stoneheart is turned back into Ivan.

As Ivan is holding his head in pain, Cat Noir looks over to Ladybug and says "This girl is awesome. She's crazy awesome."

Ladybug looks at the akuma fly away before noticing the akumatized object change back into a wad of paper as she smiles, realizing she did a good job.

Confused, Ivan looks around and asks "What's going on? What am I doing here?"

Cat Noir turns to Ladybug and says "You were incredible, miss... uh... Bug lady. You did it!"

"We both did it, partner." Ladybug replies.

Ladybug & Cat Noir both say as they bump their fists together, "Pound it!" Cat Noir's Miraculous then starts to beep, indicating low health.

"You should get going." Ladybug says to her partner "Our identities must remain secret."

"Farewell, m'lady. Let's do this again soon, okay?" Cat Noir says as he runs off and jumps over the buildings.

"Uh-huh. Not too soon, I hope." Ladybug responds as he is leaving. She then looks over and sees Ivan, she opens the paper wad and reads it aloud, "'You haven't even got the guts to tell Mylène you love her, wuss.' Aw..."

"Kim wrote it." Ivan said disheartened, "He's always making fun of me."

Ladybug kneels down next to him and says "You know, you shouldn't get so bent out of shape about that. There's no shame in telling someone you love them, Ivan."

Ivan, surprised, asks "Hey, how do you know my name, miss?"

"Uh..." Ladybug, concerned, tried to think of a response but gets interrupted.

"Uncanny, amazing, spectacular!" Alya says while recording on her phone, "Are you gonna be protecting Paldea from now on? How did you get your powers? Did you get stung by a radioactive Ledian? Oh, I've got a ton of questions to ask you, uh, miss... uhh..."

"Uhh..." she thought before saying "Ladybug! Call me Ladybug."

"Ladybug... Super awesome!" Alya says with amazement as Ladybug leaps away.

Back in her room, Marinette is watching the news from her computer, feeling proud of what she did.

On the news, Nadja reports, "So thanks to this amateur footage, the Paldeans now know the identities of their heroes!"

"I did it, Tikki!" Marinette says with a smile.

Tikki flies over to her and says before hugging the side of her face, "You see? You were up to it!"

From downstairs, her mom calls for her, "Marinette! Dinner time!" Hearing this, Marinette gets up and rushes downstairs.

After coming downstairs to the dining room, her family watches and hears Mayor Bourgeois over TV announce to the citizens, "I am pleased to announce that we will be organizing a huge celebration in honor of our region's new protectors, Ladybug and Cat Noir."

In Adrien's room, Adrien is watching the news while Plagg is checking out multiple cloches looking for something to eat. But Adrien is more focused on the news as he says, "Ladybug. Her name's Ladybug..."

"Eww, wee what is this?" Plagg says as he holds up a sundae.

"Seriously?" Adrien responds, while annoyed at his kwami, "My personal chef made all this!"

Plagg: "If you expect me to get my energy back after the transformation, I need to eat something more... delicate!"

Adrien: "Okay. What do you want?"

The released akuma, still flying around, flies to the top of the academy pillar and flaps its wings faster and begins to multiply. The swarm of akumas then begins to descend and spread across all of Paldea.

In the kitchen, Marinette was washing the dishes with Mienshao when she hears her mother watching the TV. "Oh my!" said Sabine and Marinette turns and looks in confusion.

Nadja reports "Just as Paldea is about to celebrate the appearance of our two new superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, a new wave of panic is sweeping across the region as dozens of people are mysteriously transformed into stone monsters. It's simply unbelievable."

Seeing this on the TV, Tom and Sabine hold each other close while Marinette panics and runs back upstairs.

In Adrien's room, Adrien looks exasperated while he watches Plagg eating Camembert and says while annoyed, "Camembert cheese. Fantastic. All he eats is Camembert, which means I'm gonna smell like stinky old cheese."

On his TV, he hears Nadja continue to report, "These victims transformed into stone beings are still like statues. The police are perplexed to what will happen to them. Will they come back to life or be frozen in time forever?"

Concerned, Adrien stands up and asks "Plagg? What's going on? I thought we defeated him."

In a split scene of both rooms, Tikki and Plagg ask their holders, "Did you capture the akuma?"

"What's capturing the akuma got to do with the other stone beings?" Marinette wonders.

Tikki explains "An akuma can multiply, that's why it must be captured. If Ivan's emotions become negative again, then the akuma will turn him back into Stoneheart! He'll control all the stone beings and bring them to life to serve as his army!"

Upon hearing this, Marinette says with panic, "So that means... this is all my fault? I knew it! See, Tikki? I'm not cut out to be a superhero! I'm only gonna keep messing up."

"Keep calm. It was your first time." Tikki says to try to reassure her, "You're going to go back and capture Stoneheart's akuma, and do it successfully!"

But Marinette, filled with self-doubt, just say "I can't! I told you, I'm clumsy! I create disaster all the time! I'll only make things worse for me, for you, for everyone. Cat Noir will be better off without me. I'm quitting."

In Adrien's room, he asks Plagg, "SO I can't do anything without Ladybug?"

Plagg floats in front of the TV and tells him "Only Ladybug can capture akumas and repair damage caused by supervillains."

Marinette walks in front of her vanity mirror as she tells Tikki, "If Cat Noir can't capture the akumas, then... just find another Ladybug. I told you, I'm not cut out to be Ladybug!" A surprised Tikki watches takes her earrings off. "I'm sorry Tikki."

"No, don't do—" Tikki tries to stop her but disappears once the earrings are off.

"...Tikki?" Marinette asks as she looks up to see her kwami isn't there. Disappointed in herself, she puts the earrings back in the box and puts the wooden Pokéball in the drawer. "I'm really sorry, Tikki..."

In Hawk Moth's lair, he stands in the darkness as he says aloud, "Ivan has a sensitive heart. It won't be long before anger and sadness strike again. And he and the stone beings will come alive." Soon, the original akuma flies back in through the window and into his cane. "Then we'll see how long you'll remain hidden, Ladybug and Cat Noir. Once I have your Miraculous, you will be powerless against me." Ivan is seen sitting on the stairs while listening to music, Adrien is sitting on his couch while he worries while Plagg is in front of him, and Marinette regrets her decisions in front of her vanity. "Everyone will be powerless against me! I will have the ultimate power of Arceus!" The window closes as he laughs evilly.

In a distant cave, a sleeping Pokémon engulfed by shadows awakens and looks outside to see the swarm of akumas flying over Paldea. As the butterflies fly down changing the citizens, the Pokémon squints his eyes in concern before leaping down from the cave and running towards Mesagoza.
