Sophia followed the Trix as they strolled through the halls of Valtor's Palace with Icy at the head. When Darcy suddenly stopped, Sophia and Stormy both noticed and turned to look at her.
"Huh?" Stormy murmured in confusion.
Darcy was staring at the ground in contemplation before she looked up at Icy. "Are sure about this, Icy?" The Witch of Darkness asked as the silver-haired girl stopped and looked at her over her shoulder. "Maybe it's not the best idea."
"Darcy, it's the only idea." Icy insisted with worry in her eyes as she turned halfway to face the other girl. "But if you're afraid, you don't have to come with me." Despite saying that, her own fear was evident on her face.
As Icy continued forward with Sophia following her, Stormy stammered nervously. The Witch of Storms was perhaps feeling caught between her two friends, but she quickly dashed to catch up with Icy and walked beside her. "Challenging Valtor is crazy! You know that!" She said, even as Icy continued walking on without her. Darcy stopped alongside the purple-haired witch.
Icy then stopped and turned to the pair again. "But we have an advantage, Stormy, remember?" She smirked and summoned the Prime Star of Brotherly Love from wherever she had stored it. "This. The last of the seven Stars… is ours."
"It freed us from Valtor's control." Stormy said, as if Icy needed reminding. "Why don't we just clear out?"
"Cause right now… we're standing on the needle of a scale." Icy stated while looking at the other two firmly, "A scale that will tip in our favor when we take Valtor's three Stars! We'll have the power of the Wishing Star all to ourselves." She said while smirking again. "We'll all become unbelievably powerful. I'll be able to break the curse on my sister, Sapphire!"
"We could be the undisputed queens of the Magic Universe!" Stormy exclaimed with excitement.
"We could overturn the law of nature itself!" Darcy mused, "A world of illusion! Can you imagine? Okay, we're with you, Icy!"
Sophia placed a finger to her forehead in irritation. "One of those sounds like it would be more of a chore than anything else and the other doesn't even make sense…" She muttered, "What would even be the point of…" She trailed off, not bothering to finish whatever thought was running through her head.
Stormy looked at Sophia, "Come to think of it, why did you even come back with us? Couldn't you have just gone home?"
Sophia shook her head as she pinched the bridge of her nose to assuage her headache. "If I don't show back up with you three, Valtor might still attack Earth, and quite frankly, his promise to not do so is moot if he gets the seventh Star." She lowered her hand and looked toward Darcy and Stormy. "You three don't seem like you're quite on the same page regarding your priorities, but…" She placed her hands on her hips and sighed she shook her head before looking off to the side. "Something's off about why Valtor even wants the Wishing Star." She looked up at them again, "If it's between him and the three of you, I'll take my chances with you."
Icy looked at Sophia in confusion. "Don't you hate us? We're the ones who dragged you into this in the first place."
The fairy shook her head. "Technically, Twinkly did that when she brought the Star Case to my house, but it's also possible that the Star Case herded her that direction on purpose. Anyway, it doesn't matter." She looked down, "I was mad at you at first, but…" She looked back up and met their gaze, "You three saw the potential in me that I couldn't see myself. I'm grateful for that." She created a small ball of light between her hands and smiled softly. "And because I got tangled up in all of this… I've become a fairy." She smiled at them as she dispelled the ball. "I never thought that I was someone who could have such a fantastic adventure. The last time I got mixed up with evil wizards… I nearly died, and I couldn't do a thing to protect myself." She looked down at her hands, "But that's different now." She clenched her fists, "I'm different now, and I have you guys in part to thank for that. Besides…" She lowered her hands and smiled bittersweetly, "I know what it's like to want to save your family… at any cost." She closed her eyes and shook her head slightly before looking back up at Icy. "At any rate, you used the Prime Star to free me from Valtor too, so I'm willing to call it even." At this, she winked playfully.
Icy blinked and then shared a glance with Darcy and Stormy, who nodded. The ice witch nodded back and smirked at Sophia. "Tell you what, since you were the one who got two of the Stars, we'll share the power of the Wishing Star with you."
"Huh?" Sophia was taken aback, but she didn't have time to respond as Icy walked toward Darcy and Stormy.
"Thank you, Trix." The Witch of Ice said. "And remember, if things go bad, run, and leave me to my fate." She said as she hung her head in resolution. She glanced at Sophia as she turned slightly, "That goes for you too." She looked back at Darcy and Stormy. "Promise?" The two other witches nodded, their faces filled with concern. Icy suddenly smiled sincerely before rushing over and embracing her two friends with a sob.
"Uh…" Darcy began in surprise before deciding to go with it. "Mm." She chuckled softly with an equally sincere and soft smile. Stormy, meanwhile, was sniffling and struggling to hold back tears of her own.
Icy got ahold of herself and released the other two before smirking again. "Then let's move! It's our show."
A moment later, the four of them were flying through an oddly shaped tunnel that led to the throne room. Icy stopped and the others followed her lead. Icy and Darcy each placed a hand on their hips, while Stormy planted both of her hands. For her part, Sophia adopted a more docile stance, crossing one ankle behind the other and reaching one arm behind her back to clutch the other one.
They floated there quietly for a moment before Valtor suddenly turned to them, "Here you are, at last!" He exclaimed with a smirk. "You kept me waiting! Ha!" He suddenly leapt into the air, levitated to their level and adopted a dominant stance while crossing his arms. "Did you find what I want?"
Icy turned and looked over her shoulder at the others, "Let me do the talking." She said quietly.
"He's all yours." Darcy agreed.
"I have news for you, Valtor." Icy began. "And it's news you won't like!" She added with a smirk.
"I have no time to waste, Icy." Valtor said as he tilted his head in irritation, "Explain yourself!"
Icy's eyes drifted to the floor of the room. "Well…" She hesitated, "We…"
Suddenly ,there was a loud clap of thunder near the ceiling. Or at least, it sounded like thunder. Valtor gasped and everyone looked up as chunks of rubble came raining down from above them.
"Thunder...?" Darcy asked in confusion.
Stormy stared up at the ceiling in bewilderment before looking at Darcy and pointing at herself. "Don't look at me. I didn't do it." She insisted while shaking her head and holding up her hands.
"Er, obviously not, Stormy…" Sophia murmured. She was at the back of the group, so she would've seen it if Stormy had.
"Trix, go check it out! Right now!" Valtor commanded, "Sophia, go with them!"
Sophia quietly followed the Trix back out the way they had come in, but then lightly grabbed Darcy's wrist to get her attention. "Quick. Use one of your spells to make me invisible." She said quietly.
"Why?" Darcy asked with a raised brow.
"Remember what I said about something being off regarding Valtor?" Sophia asked as she looked back toward the tunnel, "It's strange that he would send me to go check out the disturbance with you. There must be some reason he doesn't want me in the room." She turned back towards the Trix and continued speaking in a low voice, "This is our chance to find out what he's hiding from us. Make me invisible so I can go back to see what he's up to while you check outside."
Darcy looked at Icy, who nodded in agreement with Sophia's plan. The Witch of Darkness then used her magic to cast a spell that made the young fairy invisible. With only Darcy being aware of her precise location, Sophia flew back into the tunnel. She hid near the entrance of the throne room and peered inside, watching as Valtor paced back and forth. When Stella, Aisha, and Flora entered the tunnel disguised as the Trix, she carefully used her own power to cancel out Darcy's spell before signaling them to stay quiet.
Icy's (Stella's) eyes landed on where Valtor was keeping the Prime Stars. "Here we go. It's the Stars." She whispered, but Sophia held up her hand to warn the other girl to wait. She signaled to them again to be quiet, and they nodded. A moment later, Valtor turned and opened a dark hologram.
"What is he doing?" Stormy (Flora) whispered.
"I have no idea, Flora." Stella said with a shrug, "All that matters is that he doesn't see us." Sophia was unable to stop the trio from flying out of the tunnel and floating inches above the ground behind Valtor as they snuck over towards the Stars.
"How can you be so sure it will work?" One of the shadowy creatures in the hologram asked Valtor.
"The power of the Wishing Star knows no limits." Valtor insisted.
'Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about that.' Sophia thought, 'I'm pretty sure there are indeed some limitations on how her power can be used. Otherwise, it would be too dangerous to be allowed to exist…'
"All I have to do is ask, and the Gates securing the Darkness Dimension will crumble, as if they never existed."
'Ohhh, that doesn't sound good…!' Sophia fretted internally as she left the tunnel and carefully flew near to where the three older Fairies had surrounded Valtor's Star Cage.
"The moment when we control the entire Magic Universe draws near." Valtor said, prompting the older fairies to glance over at him in alarm before turning back to their task. "As soon as the Trix and the Riddle Solver return."
The creature narrowed its eyes. "But they are already there!"
"Hmm?" Valtor looked over his shoulder to find Icy, Darcy, and Stormy acting innocent and grinning sheepishly as they giggled nervously. Sophia, meanwhile, wore her usual poker face and pretended to inspect her nails.
"Why are you still here?" Valtor demanded.
"We… We've been looking for you, Valtor!" Stella exclaimed, not even bothering to try to sound like Icy (or if she was trying, she was totally failing). "There you are! Hello!"
"He's always in the same place, Icy." Sophia said pointedly before looking at Valtor directly, "We got back sooner than expected, but it seemed like you were having an important conversation, so we decided not to interrupt. Of course, I told them that we shouldn't just barge in." She added, giving the others an irrate glare.
Valtor looked both confused and irritated, "Well, what happened out there?"
"Oh, no big deal." Stella insisted, "A… meteor hit a wall or something. You know how meteors are."
Valtor narrowed his eyes slightly as Sophia moved slightly behind Aisha and glanced down at her hand.
"So, tell me, where is the seventh Star?"
"'Where is the seventh Star?'" Stella repeated, seemingly confused. "Do you have it?" She asked Aisha.
"Me?" Aisha replied, at least managing to sound like Darcy (which was more than could be said for Stella). "I thought you had it?"
"I have it." Sophia interrupted as she flew out from behind Aisha, "You gave it to me because the Winx wouldn't try to attack me, remember?" Of course, this was a bald lie, but the three fairies—who clearly had very little talent for acting—had no way of knowing that. Especially not when Sophia held up a red, glowing star in her hand.
"Ohhh… right…" Stella said nervously.
'Darcy, quick! I need a hole in the roof, ASAP!' Sophia said via the telepathic bond that Darcy had opted to maintain, before shifting her gaze back to Valtor. "Here, catch, Valtor." The Fairy of Starlight said as she tossed the star she was holding in his direction.
The Wizard floundered as he tried to avoid making contact with the star. "What are you doing, Sophia?! You know I can't touch them!"
"Well I can't touch your little magic cage thingy, so—" Just then, there was a rumbling in the ceiling above.
"Huh?" Valtor said in confusion, "Ah!" He exclaimed as Icy came flying down swiftly.
"Oh thank goodness!" Sophia exclaimed.
Icy turned to face Bloom, who threw a burst of magic at her. Icy crossed her arms in front of her face to shield herself. She was knocked back, but landed on her feet. Sophia quickly fluttered over to the Witch to hide behind her as Bloom landed next to her disguised teammates.
"It's the Winx, Valtor!" Icy exclaimed, "They…" She stopped and stared at the "Icy, Darcy, and Stormy" who were standing on the other side of Valtor.
"Huh?" Valtor said in confusion.
"...Are terrible actresses." Sophia finished with a shake of her head. She watched as Stella nervously waved at Icy.
"Hello!" Stella said with an awkward laugh.
As Darcy and Stormy landed next to the real Icy, Valtor looked between the two sets of Trix in confusion. "What's… What's going on?" He said in confusion.
As if in response, the "Trix" that were near Bloom glowed before revealing their true forms as Stella, Flora, and Aisha.
"Surprise!" Stella exclaimed with a smirk.
Sophia rolled her eyes before snapping her fingers, causing the star that she had given to Valtor to vanish. Valtor gaped in confusion as Aisha, Stella, and Flora blinked in surprise.
"What happened to the Prime Star?" Aisha asked.
"I never had it in the first place." Sophia said with a shake of her head, "That was just a hologram I created with my powers."
Valtor smirked at the Winx. He inwardly acknowledged that Sophia had been acting out of self-preservation. "Coming to this place was a grave error." He told the older fairies before holding out his hand toward the Trix. "The Star, Icy! Now is the time!" When the Trix didn't respond, he turned his head and looked at them in confusion. "Huh?"
"Don't give it to him!" Stella exclaimed before turning her head towards Bloom, "He'll destroy the Magic Universe and free the creatures of the Darkness Dimension."
Valtor narrowed his eyes as he gave the Trix a sidelong glare, "Trix, have you forgotten who your master is?" He turned towards them, "My brand is there to remind you." He grunted as he held out his hand, attempting to impose his will on the Trix. At this, Stormy, Icy, and Darcy all scoffed. Sophia crossed her arms and also scoffed as she smirked, adopting a more confident stance by making a quarter-turn away from Valtor. Valtor gasped as the Trix smirked and held up their left hands to reveal the absence of Valtor's mark. Sophia likewise held up her hand without turning towards him. "But… where is my mark?"
"We're not under your control anymore, Valtor." Icy said smugly before summoning the Prime Star. "The Star set us free. It's worth more than I can imagine."
"The same goes for me, as you can see." Sophia said before crossing her arms again and glaring at the Wizard. "I only came back to see things through to the end."
Bloom stepped forward. "It all depends on you, Icy." She told the Witch. "Listen to me, please. If you give the Star to Valtor, it will be the end of everything. The Magic Universe will be erased forever! Is that what you really want?" Sophia turned forward again and grasped her arm as she listened to Bloom. "On Dyamond, I realized there is love in you!"
"Shut up, fairy!" Valtor exclaimed before hurling a blast of magic at Bloom. The fire fairy guarded in the same way that Icy had earlier and grunted as she was knocked back. She groaned with effort as she managed to stop herself from being pushed back farther. Valtor ceased his assault and turned toward the Trix. "Don't listen to her, Icy." He held out his hand toward Icy. "She wants to confuse you." Icy clutched the Star and backed away from him with Stormy, Darcy, and Sophia. "The Winx are your worst enemies." His face twisted into a cunning grin. Sophia found herself wringing her hands nervously. "Give me that Star, and I will make you rich and powerful beyond imagining."
"The choice is yours, Icy." Bloom interjected. Valtor grunted as he threw another attack at her, but this time, Bloom used a barrier spell to block him. She groaned as she struggled to maintain her magic against his, resulting in a blinding light. As the light faded, the redheaded fairy walked toward the Trix while smiling sincerely. "And in your heart, you know there's only one thing to do." Sophia interlaced her fingers as she straightened her arms, looking between the older girls. Icy's expression was one of confusion, surprise… and perhaps pain.
"Nonsense!" Valtor exclaimed, turning towards Bloom again when he saw that Icy was hesitating. "The Stars are mine!" At that, Sophia clenched her fists. For some reason, hearing Valtor say that made her furious, not that she could do anything about it as Valtor's body began to glow with an eerie red light. "And no one shall take them from me!" He exclaimed. "NO ONE!!!" At that, the entire area began crackling with energy.
"Uh-oh…" Musa murmured, "I think he lost his temper…"
"Get out of here, everyone!" Bloom exclaimed, and the Winx all took to the air.
The Trix moved to do the same, but Sophia stopped them and quickly surrounded them with her magic, having activated her Charmix. The four of them reappeared a short distance from the palace as a beam of light shot out of the top of it and a winged creature emerged with a roar.
"Where do you think you're going?!" The monster snarled at the Winx as it moved to hover in front of them. "You can't escape me!"
"Is that… Valtor?! Sophia asked in alarm as she lowered her barrier.
"Yep." Stormy said.
"What on…" The fairy gasped, "He's not a wizard, he's a monster! A literal monster!"
"Can't argue with you there." Darcy replied. Seeing that the young fairy had frozen in horror, she and Stormy each grabbed hold of one of Sophia's arms and guided her away as they followed Icy. They descended toward the flat part of the craggy mountain that stood behind what was left of Valtor's palace. At some point, a spaceship appeared and joined the Winx in fighting the wizard-turned-gigantic-beast. Icy landed quietly on the mountain with Stormy, Darcy and Sophia behind her. When they released her arms, the teenaged fairy crumpled to the ground on her knees, trembling in shock. Meanwhile, Icy gazed at the battle with her eyes narrowed in thought.
"This is our chance, Icy!" Darcy exclaimed, "Let's get out of here!"
"Huh?" Sophia gasped softly, seeming to come to her senses as she gazed up at Darcy.
"Let the Winx fight that monster." Stormy agreed.
Sophia's head swiveled toward the Witch of Storms. "Uh…"
"Wait!" Icy exclaimed as she turned her head towards the others, prompting the three of them to look at her.
Darcy gasped, "Please, Icy." The Witch of Darkness pleaded, "Are you crazy?! Let's just save ourselves!"
The Ice Witch's gaze fell upon Sophia. "Were you able to find out anything? Is what Bloom said really true? Does Valtor really want to destroy the Magic Universe?"
Sophia's gaze dropped as she stared at the ground. "I don't know about… destroy… exactly, but… He does intend to open the gates to the Darkness Dimension and release all of those sealed there. Even though Stella and the others showing up was unexpected, I was still able to see him open a dark hologram and talk to the creatures there. All I could see were shadowy silhouettes, but… they looked similar to how he looks now." She trembled, "If creatures like that ran wild in the Magic Universe, then… I'm sure that there will soon be nothing left…" As Icy fell into thought, Sophia closed her eyes. 'I'm sure that Icy won't give the Prime Star to Valtor. I've already decided to believe in her.' Her eyes snapped open, shining in the darkness around them. 'But I should still make my stance known.' She decided. "Darcy, Stormy…" The girl began quietly as she stared at her hands, "To be honest, I… I came back here to make sure that Valtor wouldn't get the seventh Star. So even if…"She gripped the ground with her hands, as if steeling her resolve. "Even if you guys run away… I won't go with you." She trembled as she spoke, but her eyes did not waver, nor did the light within them fade. "This isn't just about protecting Earth and my parents anymore. This is about protecting everyone. There… there must be something I can do. Even if I haven't figured out what that is yet, I… I will make sure that Valtor doesn't get that Star! Even if I must fight to my last breath!"
"No!" Icy said suddenly. The others looked at her in confusion, but it appeared she had been speaking to herself and hadn't even heard Sophia. "I watched a world crumble before…!" The ice witch elaborated as Sophia stood back up, "I won't let it happen again!"
"But, Icy…" Stormy began with concern.
"We won't run away!" Icy said firmly, "We'll face this threat! Follow me!" She took off toward the battle. Sophia, her eyes shining with hope, immediately followed her. Darcy and Stormy only glanced at each other for a moment before following Icy as well.
Valtor grunted as he guarded against another shot from the spaceship. He then noticed the Trix and Sophia floating nearby. "Ah-ah-ah!" He exclaimed. "Smart choice, Trix! You've finally figured out where you stand!"
"That's right, Valtor!" Icy said with a smirk, "We know what side we're on… as always." She held out her hand as she revealed the Prime Star, "Here's the last Prime Star…" The Winx watched anxiously as Valtor sneered and chuckled in anticipation. Icy closed her hand around the Star. "And it's yours, Bloom! Make good use of it!" She called as she hurled the Star in Bloom's direction.
"Huh?" Valtor said in confusion, "Betrayer!" He exclaimed.
Bloom caught the Star in her hand. "You've made the right decision." The fire fairy said with a smile.
Icy smiled in a sense of self-satisfaction. Sophia watched with excitement as the Star Case appeared before Bloom, and the redhead placed the red Prime Star within it.
Valtor growled and panted in frustration. "Huh?" He turned as he sensed something and watched as the remaining three Prime Stars burst out from within his palace.
"Whew! Good thing we weren't standing there anymore!" Sophia quipped to the Trix, referring to the fact that the Stars had burst out from the very mountaintop they'd been standing on previously. Darcy and Stormy both gave her an amused grin.
"Those are my Stars!" Valtor roared.
"As if!" Sophia scoffed again before looking at Darcy with a smirk, "Those are mine, yours, and mine!"
A blinding light shone from the Star Case, engulfing the Winx. At the same time, Sophia's body began to glow. "Huh…?" Sophia and the Trix said in unison.
"What's happening…?" Sophia asked in surprise. She could feel her power surging through the roof.
Enchantix
Shining fairy powder falling on me
Magic Enchantix
My powers will be at the maximum
I'm invincible!
I'm ready to go!
Magic Winx
Enchantix
And I can feel so beautiful and strong
I raise my energy
Finally, I'll become a real fairy
A butterfly
Shining so bright!
When the light had faded, Sophia was wearing a deep blue dress, the color of the night sky, with a sweetheart neckline and thin straps. The hemline was shaped like a flower with seven petals, and on each of the points was a streak of color that reached towards her waistline in the colors of the seven Prime Stars. Around her neck was a choker with a large star in the middle. Footless sandals adorned with stars spiraled down her legs while glittering gloves in the same deep blue as her dress reached up to her shoulders. Her champagne blonde hair—which had grown over the course of this adventure—Now inexplicably reached nearly to her ankles in beautiful, flowing waves. The front part of her hair was pulled back into a twisted halo, and just above the elegant swoops of this were glittering silver stars with silver jewels dangling from them. The small, simple wings on her back had been replaced with large, glittering, colorful wings. They were like the wings of a butterfly, but had jewels hanging off of them.
"Wh… what?" Sophia said in confusion as she looked herself over, "What just happened? Ohhh!" Her eyes fell upon the Winx, whose bodies radiated with a golden light.
"This is all your fault, witches!" Came the growling voice of Valtor as he pointed a finger at the Trix. "You will regret it! Hm?" Suddenly his eyes fell upon Sophia. "You!!" He growled before his eyes widened as he noticed the change in the young fairy's appearance. "What?! Impossible!!" With a sudden roar of anger, he fired a beam of magic at Sophia. The Trix all screamed (because they were in the line of fire as well), and the Winx yelled in concern, but Sophia created a glittering barrier around herself and the Trix for protection. Unlike how the Winx had been unable to sustain their own barriers earlier, Sophia seemed to have no trouble enduring the attack. When it had ended, she clenched her fists and glared at the… well, whatever Valtor was now.
"I have had it with being bullied by you!" She exclaimed as she held up one hand and gathered her magic into a shimmering ball of light. "Never again! Meteor Shower!" The ball of light burst like a balloon into tens or maybe hundreds of smaller balls that, at Sophia's direction, shot toward Valtor and pelted him like a hailstorm. This resulted in him letting out a cry of pain.
Icy smirked as she moved to stand—or float, as it were—beside Sophia. "The only one who'll regret this… is you, Valtor!"
Valtor growled in irritation as the Winx surrounded him, grunting like a beast as he tried to figure out where to direct his attention.
"Come on, girls!" Bloom said, "This is a mission for the Winx!" The fairies each began to fire beams of Cosmix magic at Valtor—which looked somewhat similar to Sophia's attack, only each beam was more concentrated as well as continuous. Valtor began to scream, his body breaking apart as the Winx's attacks began to accumulate into a ball of light. Finally, he disappeared completely. Bloom gasped when she realized this and let out a small sigh of relief. Oddly enough, the small nebula—or whatever it was—that surrounded the area disappeared, along with Valtor's palace. All that was left was the stars in every direction. The ship that had been helping in the battle circled overhead before coming to a stop. "Yeah! That's it, Winx!" Came the voice of Sky from a speaker on the ship. "You did it again!"
Bloom laughed happily and waved as the ship left.
"Sophia?!" Stella suddenly gasped, catching the others' attention. They turned and looked at the silver-eyed girl.
"No way!" Flora gasped in excitement before they all flew over to her.
"You've earned your Enchantix!" Musa exclaimed, "That's amazing!"
"Enchantix…?" Sophia asked as she looked over herself once again, "But… how?"
"Congratulations, Sophia." Came a voice that Sophia knew well. She turned and looked at the shimmering being nearby.
"Wishing Star…" Sophia gasped as she carefully flew over. "Did… you do this?"
"No, Sophia." The Wishing Star said with a smile and a shake of her head, "You achieved this all on your own."
"But… how?" Sophia asked in confusion, putting a finger to her lip thoughtfully. "According to what I know, Enchantix can only be earned when a fairy who has reached Charmix saves somebody from her own realm at great personal cost…"
"Sophia…" The Wishing Star said gently, "That is exactly what you've done."
"What…?" Sophia murmured in confusion.
The Wishing Star shook her head, seeming amused before she looked at Sophia again. "You gave up your freedom and risked your life to protect your planet and your family. Even when faced with the idea that your parents might reject you for your decision, you didn't give up."
"Yes, but… that's how I became a fairy in the first place. I definitely didn't have Charmix back then."
The Wishing Star only smiled, "That's true, but after you were freed from Valtor's mark, you could have chosen to return home, but you knew that if you did, you might endanger the people you held dear. You chose to see things through to the end and ensure that whatever happened, Valtor would not win in the end. In doing so, you protected not only your world, but all of the Magic Universe. You were even willing to give up your life for this cause. Sophia, a fairy's magic grows stronger not through study or practice, but through growth of the heart. You have learned to stand firm in the face of fear and to believe in who you are. You have learned the importance of friendship, balance, and relying on others to do what you cannot. And… you've realized that trust is neither a gift nor a talent, but a goal we can achieve each day by opening our hearts to others."
Sophia's eyes widened as she realized what the Wishing Star was referring to. "You knew?"
"Of course." The Wishing Star said with a light chuckle.
Sophia hesitated as she glanced toward Icy. "Wishing Star, would I be able to…?"
"Sophia, I may have given you a Spark of magic, but you are the one who nurtured that Spark into a burning flame. It will not always be easy, but as long as you believe in yourself, you will have the power to make all of your wishes come true." At this, Sophia smiled. "And now, take this." The Wishing Star said as a gold and silver box appeared in front of her.
Sophia reached forward and took the box into her hands, "What is it?"
"That box contains the Power of Harmony." The Wishing Star explained, "With it, your powers will be complete, and the world will have a new guardian fairy—The Guardian Fairy of the Stars and of Starlight."
Sophia opened the box and gasped as its light filled her. "This is amazing! I feel connected to all of the stars! I know their names and locations and even what their Lumens are like!" As the light faded, she looked at the Wishing Star again.
"From now on, your power as a fairy will be passed down to your descendants," The Wishing Star explained, "And the power to protect the magic of their world will exist in every girl born with silver eyes. What was once true for one world will now be true for all—'Magic lives in a girl with silver eyes like stars. She will be a beacon of hope.'"
Yeah, so... I've actually had this chapter completed for months, but had put off uploading it because I wanted to upload the last three chapters all at once.
