Disclaimer: This is my first fanfiction ever, so yes, I know this might not be great, but I'll be learning along the way. I know other stories have tried Naruto as a Claymore, but this is my attempt, so don't roast me too hard y'all.

If you have any advice or ideas for future use, please put them down in the reviews, as well as any future pairings or powers/abilities. I'm open to criticism as well.

In this story, I do plan on fully making Naruto a claymore, so I would rather him not use chakra or have Kurama. Also, lemons will probably be rare or none at all, as I have no experience writing them, though if this fanfic continues, I'll go with the flow and figure something out.

I also plan on keeping chapters short and in parts, as I am really busy in school. However, each part will continue the last chapter, so don't worry.

Chapter 4: The Road to Doga Pt 4

Last time on Naruto the Kind: Our 48, he began his journey into the run-down part of town, meeting a woman named Nora; she spoke of a claymore that had tainted the land. Naruto would eventually bring this woman to an inn, setting her up for a few nights, and then head towards the orphanage. Naruto would get to 's Home and get the information he needed in his Yoma investigation. Now, he would be on his way to find Adam and his father before the Yoma potentially get them first.

We find ourselves back with our silver-slitted-eyed number 48 on his way towards Adam and his father on the other side of the village. Naruto is moving at a relatively fast pace, considering it seems to be becoming night, which is the time Yoma might be on the attack the village chief had told him.

Naruto is able to make it to the residence of Adam, somewhat relieved of arriving, speaking out loud, saying, "I hope I got here before the Yoma did." Naruto proceeds to walk up to the door, his metallic boots clanking and begins knocking. The longer he knocks, the more he realizes that there is nobody at the residence currently. Glancing down with his silver eyes, he realizes that the door has been unlocked the whole time; he then proceeds to walk inside the home. The room had a dark sort of aura about it, lingering around like a cloud. Naruto had the sense that if an impending accident were coming, he would know right before it happened, like a sixth sense of sorts.

Naruto begins looking around the room with the hopes of finding something that might help him in his search for Adam. Naruto, unlike other claymores, had a much-heightened sense of smell and the ability to locate people with their scent, some would say like a dog. Naruto thinks it is a result of his conversion with the particular yoma flesh the organization implanted in him. It is then that Naruto begins to pick up the smell of Adam and his father trailing from the family home a path of sorts. He then decides to follow the scent in hopes of finding the duo. At this point, Naruto is at a breakneck speed, hoping to find the duo. He has been running for a minimum of 5 minutes looking for them, but there are no signs of the two. The issue with Naruto's ability was that it was not a pinpoint location but more of an approximate area.

All of a sudden, Naruto picks up the scent of the duo quickly and instantly turns towards the direction and sprints towards it, coming across the duo near the homeless beggars after about five more minutes. At this point, Naruto spots Adam and his father giving the beggars money while Naruto is trailing them from a distance. All of a sudden, these Yoma begin to transform and grab hold of Adam's father by the arms. Naruto, angered at this point, begins to speak, "Damn it. I don't have much time till these yoma get this guy for good, but I will still just have to try. I can't let this kid lose his father too."

Naruto speeds towards the duo and begins reaching for his sword in a quick rush of energy, nearing the yoma and Adam's father. Then Naruto fully unsheathes his sword and in a quick motion, cuts off the Yoma's hands, grabbing hold of Adam's father and throwing him back towards the boy. Naruto made these strikes with utmost precision and speed, and the yoma didn't seem to land even scratch on the father in the process. A Yoma of the group, heavily angered at Claymore's interference, speaks up, "Dammit, Claymore, we almost had another one for the books; we could just kill you just as easily as the others we've already murdered! You don't seem to be all that much to handle anyway. We outnumber you 3 to 1." Laughing at the end of the statement, the yoma thinking they had the claymore outplayed.

Naruto, brandishing his sword, looks towards the boy and responds blankly, "Adam, get you and your father out of here. I'll handle this. I promise you I won't let anything happen to you two. I'm here to get rid of these beasts." Adam responds while he and his father begin to run away from the scene, unfolding, "Yes sir, I'll get him out of here. Be careful!" Naruto, with a calm look on his face, speaks again, "Don't worry, kid, I'll handle this. I've been trained my whole life for these moments." Naruto begins looking towards the yoma with a smile that guarantees his victory, continuing, "You may think you have me outnumbered, Yoma, but this is more of a ring match, and you're in the ring with me. I am going to enjoy this, and when I'm done with you, your life will become forfeit."

Naruto then proceeds to hold his Claymore with two hands, aiming towards the yoma. Smiling, he speaks up, "Which one of you wants to meet your doom first, hmm?" There is clear silence between the group of yoma when Naruto keeps speaking, "Don't all three of you step forward at once." A yoma, annoyed at the loss of his potential meal of Adam's father, speaks up, "Our doom. Is this a joke to you, kid? The Yoma, wearing a sickening smile on his face, continues,

"We will kill you, and we'll have fun while doing it, just like the others we have murdered in this small village. After doing so, we will tear into your guts and eat your insides. I've never eaten claymore before, though I am always interested in trying new things."

Naruto, undeterred, his silver eyes glowing in the moonlight, speaks up, "Well, you won't get the chance. I'll end your reign of terror right here. I assure you, you will die a painful death, and that's a promise." With that, Naruto, with Claymore in hand, speeds forward towards one of the weaker-looking Yoma and, in an instant, slashes his sword horizontally, instantly decapitating one of the group. Naruto, bored, blankly speaks, "Well, that one didn't seem so strong now, did he? Will the rest of you even give me any sort of challenge?"

The Yoma who spoke earlier stood blankly, not unsurprised from the events unfolding, speaking up, "Well, I didn't even like him. He was a weakling anyway. It just means more guts for us when we are done with you!" The yoma then speeds forward, brandishing his claws like a typical yoma would have, slashing at Naruto with multiple strikes bouncing off the blade as Naruto parries his strikes. Naruto responds, "Well, It doesn't seem you will be much of a challenge yourself; let me take care of your buddy real quick so we can have a real fight."

Naruto jumped backward, then sped forward towards the other Yoma, winding up his attack from above and slashing downwards; the Yoma attempted to block the hit, with the result of the Yoma's right arm falling off, Naruto reloaded for another strike moves behind the Yoma, cuts off the remaining arm, proceeding to slash and decapitate the Yoma completely. Blood begins spurting all over the place from the quickness of these attacks. The last Yoma begins to speak up, laughing, "Well, I'm the brains behind the operation we got here, so these others are useless and were just extra mouths to feed. I'm glad you got rid of them. Now we can have a real fight!"

With this, the last Yoma's body begins to expand, getting bigger than the other two that lay dead. His muscles bulge, his muscle mass increases three-fold, his claws extend, and his fangs get longer. This Yoma begins to speak around 3 feet taller and much more muscular, laughing, "Well, what are you going to do now, little Claymore? You might have killed those weaklings, but you do not stand any chance against me." Naruto, still with a blank face, begins speaking again, "Well, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. I suppose. Now, I might be able to unleash a little bit of my training." Naruto then begins to race forward with his Claymore in hand towards the remaining yoma.

Naruto attempts to strike the Yoma in front of him, flashing downwards near his shoulder in an attempt to cut off one of his large arms. The attack seems to do no damage as it bounces off, a seemingly hardened skin Yoma of sorts, his skin harder than the rest laying dead. At this point, the Yoma, with Naruto's relatively close proximity to him, attempts to strike Naruto once again, but Naruto parries him with the claymore in hand.

Naruto, seemingly unfazed that his own attack had bounced, begins to hold his claymore with both hands, signifying there might be a different outcome for the next attack. He once again races forward at the last second, jumping behind the Yoma and, going for the attack, cuts off one of the Yoma's arms. The Yoma cries out in pain, angered, saying, "You bastard, I just watched one of your attacks bounce. How did this one manage to land?" Naruto blankly responds, "Well, I decided to just put a little bit more strength into my attack. I felt rather disappointed when my first attack didn't cut through."

The Yoma, annoyed at this point, attempts to strike Naruto again; Naruto lets this attack almost touch him; however, at the last second, he dodges entirely out of the way, almost fazing away, angering the Yoma. In which the yoma speaks even more angrily, "What the hell? How the hell did I miss? This is bullshit. I will kill you!" Naruto, with his silver eyes staring at the yoma blankly, responds, "When I first killed your buddies, I hadn't even used 1% of my strength. However, when my first attack against you bounced, I decided I might put a little bit more strength into killing you."

The Yoma, annoyed by this claymore's ignorance, attempts to attack with his last remaining arm. Once again, the warrior parries this strike, side-stepping his arm entirely and then proceeding to cut off his other arm, with more blood beginning to spurt out of the wound. Yoma begins to scream out, "You bitch!" Before the Yoma can finish those words, Naruto appears behind him two-handed, wielding his Claymore, and in one swift strike, proceeds to decapitate this Yoma as well, with blood spurting out of the neck. Naruto looks around him to find that all Yoma from the contract is dead, with purple blood being absorbed into the ground, forming a large puddle at his feet. Naruto's warrior armor was covered in purple yoma, which annoyed him; he had just polished it recently, after all. Then, in his vision, from out behind a building, Hanz, his handler, comes out to greet him, clapping while approaching Naruto.

Hanz standing with his signature black hat, happy at 48's work, spoke up, "Well done, Naruto. I and the rest of the organization knew you could handle this as your first contract. We had no doubts in your abilities, and you were even able to save Adam and his father from being eaten. good job!" Naruto, standing with his blood-covered armor and unsurprised at Hanz's sudden appearance, responds," Ah, so you finally decided to show up, did you? It is obvious I could handle this yoma, though, for the last one, I had to put a little strength into it. I promised these yoma death, and I gave it to them."

Naruto continued, "So Hanz, where have you been? I had an interesting time while you were away doing your thing, as always." Hanz, smiling, responds, " Well, the council had called me back as there were seemingly some matters I had to solve back at headquarters. Things had happened while I was away, nothing too serious, but they knew I could handle it, so they called me for the job. It was a drag, of course, but nothing I couldn't handle." Naruto, understanding how demanding the organization is, responds, "Again? The council seems to be calling you back all the time, with you always disappearing."

Hanz, smiling as always, responds, "Well, it is an order. After all, I had no choice. Though some of the time I get lost on the road of life, ya know? Naruto, sighing, looking down and back up, responds, "Very well, Hanz, we do make an odd pair, don't we? Hanz responded, "Of course, Naruto, I sometimes think it's the reason I was selected to be your handler." Naruto, wanting to get to the point, responded, "Yes, Yes, Hanz, let's get this job done, shall we? I have some stuff I want to take care of after I speak with the village chief." Hanz speaks up, "Yes, Naruto, let's finish this mission; I'll collect the payment once we meet this chief. However, one of the reasons I was called back was to be informed that once you finished this mission, we would meet with the council together."Naruto responds, "Well, let us get to it. We both know how the council is when it comes to waiting."

Hanz and Naruto are now on their way back to the village center to meet with the elder. The moon was still lighting up the night sky, and the streets around the village center contained people roaming the streets. It seems that Adam and his father had run back towards the Village Center, screaming in a panic about Yoma. Because of this, the townsfolk had become seemingly frightened and scared, some panicking like chickens with their heads cut off. Then, however, the people of the town proceed to see a claymore, our number 48, of course; they begin to go even more insane as Town folk are known to be scared of claymores, especially this one. However, the people are thrown off when a man in all black is approaching with the Claymore, not even soothing their nerves a little bit. Our duo then spots Adam and his father in the center of the village. It is then that our 48 begins to speak to the public.

Adam begins to speak up, looking up happily seeing that the large Claymore that saved them had arrived, "Mr. Claymore, your back! Are you safe? Are the monsters following you? The villagefolk watches with scared eyes as the claymore begins to speak. Naruto smiles and speaks to the crowd facing them, "Adam! Good to see you guys got away. Don't worry, kid, I took care of the Yoma. They won't be hurting anyone here anymore." Adam happily responds, "Thank you, sir, for saving me and my dad. I was sure we would have been monster food, but you saved us!" Naruto nodded toward the child while Adam continued, "Who is this man standing next to you? He sure seems scary?" Naruto responded, "Don't worry, kid, he's cool. He's with me. His name is Hanz." Hanz proceeded to wave at the child, though this didn't change how scary Hanz looked.

The populace was somewhat relieved the group of yoma were dead and settled down, becoming much calmer than before, though still skeptical of the claymore. It is then that the village chief, John, comes out of the crowd of villagefolk, walking towards Naruto.

The old man, John, spoke up, "Naruto! You got rid of the yoma and so quickly at that? Very good. I wouldn't expect less from a claymore, especially one such as yourself. Are you alright? The yoma didn't hurt you too bad, did they? Naruto, smiling, seeing John again, responds, "Yes, of course I got rid of the Yoma. It turns out the lead at the orphanage was a good start and pointed me right to an attack in progress. It's where I saved Adam and his father."

John, happy at a life saved though sad of the already many deaths, responds, "Good, those yoma killed too many of us. The people here have been terrified for quite a while. This village has much to fix with the recent attacks. We have many orphaned children and dead parents." Naruto understanding of what the yoma left behind, responded, "Yes, I understand. Yoma leave a trail of destruction in their paths wherever they go. It good I got them when I did, or there would have been more death."

John, happy at the potential lives saved with the yoma dead, responds, "Well, thank the Goddesses you were there when you were; if you weren't, it could have been terrible. We owe you much for saving our little village. We ought to have a celebration for you saving us." Naruto, smiling at the thought of celebrating, responds, "Well, it's my job to kill Yoma. Though I wouldn't turn down a little celebration for the occasion." John, happy the claymore had agreed, responds, "Good, then it's settled. Let us celebrate! But first payment, would this man in black standing next to you be the one collecting payment?"

Naruto, pointing his thumb toward Hanz, responds, "Yes, this is Hanz, my handler. He will be collecting the payment." John stepped forward with a bag of bera in hand, placing it into Hanz's hands, who accepted it and put it into his signature black cloak. John smiled, speaking up again, "Well, Naruto, with that settled, would you want to get this party started?" Naruto looks at Hanz for approval, and Hanz approves with a nod and responds, "Yes, John, I suppose I can let loose a little bit and have some fun."

With that, John and the rest of the village folk are happy with the death of the yoma plaguing their town. The village folk begin pilling up into a local tavern, drinking, and having fun, something they long haven't done. The people loosen up a little bit with the yoma menace taken care of by the claymore. John, the village chief, begins walking towards the tavern, bringing Naruto with him, and Hanz following in tow. A little celebration begins. Opening the doors, the place is rowdy, and all around, the people's faces are happy, though they understand the true death brought on their village by the Yoma, just happy it's finally all over. The trio enters with some people noticing the warrior entering, many fearful of him, though some more relaxed than the first time they saw him, realizing he is the sole reason the yoma are dead. The warrior does receive many stares, mind you, though; some of these people have smiles on their faces when they see him. Naruto, John, and Hanz begin walking towards the counter and taking a seat.

The trio takes seats on the bar stools before John begins to call the bartender, with his hand raised, and speaks up, "Three ales for the three of us!" The barkeep responded, "You got it!" The barkeep proceeds to pour and slide three ales in front of John, who hands them out to Hanz and our warrior Naruto.

John spoke up to the duo, "Well, drink up y'all two. Take a load off and relax a little bit." The duo, Hanz and Naruto, proceeded to take up their cup and drink out of it. Naruto is pretty much downing the Ale in one fell swoop. John downed his ale, surprised, and spoke up, "So you can drink claymore? Care to face me in a drinking challenge? Naruto, intrigued, responds, "Very well, old man. What would I win if I were to face you, hmm?" John with a finger on his chin in thought, responds, "Hmm, how about I give you half the payment extra from my personal funds? I feel the quickness of you getting rid of the yoma brought some liveliness back to the village and so I feel more bera are in order if you win." Hanz, happy at the thought of more bera, gives Naruto a nod. Naruto acknowledges this, speaking up, "And If I lose?"

John responds, "Hmm, we'll just have to see next time you come back to town like a favor of sorts." Naruto, reading this man sensing no ill intent, responds, "Alright, old man, I'm game. Get the drinks coming." John speaks toward the barkeep, yelling for as many ales as could fit the counter, with the bartender placing many cups on the counter. It seems the two would have many to drink, a total of 60 in all, 30 to each. John spoke up, "The first to finish 30 and not throw up within a 5-minute timeframe wins!" Many in the tavern proceed to watch the challenge play out, and about 7 minutes in, John is already at 10 Ales and Naruto at 9.

The old chief is somehow beating the claymore at this point. 10 more minutes pass as Naruto is at 22 and John at 24 ales, the two quickly downing these ales. It seemed the claymore might be beaten, but in a matter of a few minutes, John finished up his last cup of ale with Naruto close behind. John, with ale foam around his mouth, speaks out, "Well, kid, it looks like I got you beat. Ha!" While finishing these words, the chief John begins projectile vomiting into the face of Hanz, with Naruto finishes his last cup of ale.

Hanz, with vomit on his face, unhappy, speaks up, "Well, this was not how I wanted to spend my evening, being covered like this." The chief, clearly dizzy, proceeds to bow and profusely apologize to Hanz for the vomit. Naruto is definitely struggling from the sheer alcohol in his system, slurring his words and speaking up, "HA! That is what you get for appearing at the last minute, Hanz. , I think I am due my reward, hmm?" John, pulling out a bag of his own bera and handing it to Naruto, responds, "Yes, it seems you beat me fair and square. Here is the payment. Would you be staying the night with all the drinks you've had?" Naruto, with a finger pointed up, attempting to look normal speaks up, "Of course not, I don't intend on staying; we warriors easily avoid the effects of being drunk!" Naruto proceeds to faint, which is clearly a lie he told in the end.

John, surprised at the scene, speaks up," So I'll take that as a yes?" Hanz, smiling at the claymore's ignorance though annoyed by the situation, responds, "Yes, I suppose we can get a room and stay for the night." John smiles and says, "Good, Good, Barkeep! A room for these two!" Hanz begins to drop some bera on the counter in front of the barkeep to pay for the room. The barkeep begins setting up a room for the duo of Naruto and Hanz, with Hanz carrying Naruto to bed. The two eventually end up falling asleep at the end of the night.

Timeskip 7 hours: Early Morning

Naruto begins to wake, the light shining through the window lighting his features up. His silver blonde hair, silver eyes, one of which is a singular cat-like slit, his whiskers, and the scar across his eye. He leans up from his deep sleep, stretching his arms over his head and yawning with all too-long fangs beginning to show. He begins to move a hand up to his head, which signifies a headache from the night before. He stands up to find himself in just his notable claymore suit, carrying his personal symbol, which he normally wears under his armor.

However, unique among his generation, his symbol differed slightly. The personal symbol of 48 appeared as a whirlpool or a spiral crest. His armor sits off to the side neatly organized, and he makes his way over, proceeding to re-equip his armor piece by piece with a cape, now bearing the signature warrior look as always. He finally turns to find his claymore resting against a bedside table, lifting it, glancing at its sharp-to-the-touch look, and finally sheathing it onto his back. Naruto then turns towards the other bed to find it empty, seeing that Hanz has disappeared as always. Naruto begins to sigh before heading downstairs of the tavern.

There, he finds the place fully cleaned up, with the barkeeper smiling directly at him speaking up, "Well, Claymore, you slept well, did you? I hope it wasn't too loud for you and your friend sleeping." Naruto, with a hand behind his head smiling sheepishly, responded, "Nah, it wasn't too loud; you remember me fainting after the challenge I sleep like a brick, so no worries. I hope it wasn't too much of a challenge carrying me up the stairs." The barkeep responded with a smile, "No worries, kid, it wasn't. Care for some breakfast or a drink?" Naruto, never one to turn down food, responds, "You bet. What you got on the menu?" The barkeep spoke up, "We got eggs and Bacon. Is that alright?"

Naruto responded, "Hell yeah, I haven't had much to eat in a while. We claymores don't need to eat much, but I happen to love eating, so I take every opportunity I can. Did you see my friend go anywhere? He seemed to have disappeared again." The barkeep placing a wooden plate with eggs and bacon in front of Naruto speaks up, "I heard of you claymores not needing to eat. What is that like? Is it weird? And yes, your friend left a little while ago, though he said he would be back in a bit." Naruto, beginning to eat the food, responds, "Well, it's different for sure. I've always had a large appetite ever after my conversion. And did my friend say anything before he left?" The barkeep, thinking back, responds, "Well, he said he would be back. He told me to tell you if you had any unfinished business before y'all left to get it done. He continued saying that after he came back, y'all had somewhere to be, so be ready."

Naruto sighing responds, "That guy is always disappearing and showing up at some of the worst and best times. I do have some people to visit before I leave, so I'll get to it after I eat." While Naruto is eating, he compliments the keep on how good his food is. When Naruto is finished eating, he proceeds to get up, dropping a few Bera on the bar in the process and heading out of the building.

With that, Naruto is on his way back to the inn on the other side of the village to see how Nora is doing and maybe even make a stop at the orphanage.

Let me know how what yall think about the first combat scene and what I should improve on it. Sorry, this one came out a few days later than usual. Life gets in the way, including the birthday. I got spring ball back on, so the chapters might come a little more spread out, but most definitely one a week. Let me know how y'all feel about the story overall, the dialogue, and the descriptions, and if y'all have any ideas I can use, feel free to put them in the reviews. Don't worry; I definitely read them until I see you all next time. Au Revoir!
