Myeol Mang sits away from the other three, observes their lively conversation, listens to Dong Kyung's last sad words. His heart pinches, arms folded across his broad chest, legs crossed, arrogantly stares, confidently replies, "I will save you. I will save her."
Dong Kyung turns around, gazing into his dark eyes, stunned by his words, on a deeper level understands the true meaning behind these words and is uncertain she is willing to accept his gesture.
Gently smiling, he says,
"Why are you so surprised? It's not like the first time I am saying this…"
Na Ji Na scoots off the couch, kneels next to Seon Kyung, talks closely,
"Hey, who in the world is he? Who is he to talk informally and act cool?"
Myeol Mang says, "I can hear you."
Seon Kyung puts his hand up, attempts lowering his voice,
"He's my sister's boyfriend. He says he's a doctor."
Myeol Mang annoyed, says,
"I hear you loudly."
Na Ji Na asks,
"A doctor? Are you sure? Did you confirm it?"
Seon Kyung responds,
"Oh, I didn't confirm it, but he is her boyfriend for sure. What's more, they are deeply in love."
Na Ji Na shakes her head, unbelieving,
"There is no way. If something had happened, Tak Dong Kyung would have immediately…it's him. The hospital. The funeral hall…the person Tak Dong Kyung wants to love…"
Mortified at her confession being rudely announced by her best friend, Dong Kyung pinches her nose, closes her eyes.
Amusedly, Myeol Mang says,
"You must've been going around talking a lot about me, I see."
Confusedly, Seon Kyung inquires of his sister
"What is this? And, what is this about a funeral hall? How come I don't know about any of this?"
Na Ji Na annoyed says,
"Is there anything you know? But, then again, what would you know? You didn't even contact me when something like this occurred."
Defending himself, says
"It's not that I didn't know, my sister told me not to tell you."
Annoyed, she says,
"Since when do you listen to your sister so obediently?"
Seon Kyung's voice rising, says,
"But I still told you, even when my sister told me not to tell you."
Growing tired of their arguing, Dong Kyung raised her voice,
"Hey! Enough. Both of you, leave now!"
Na Ji Na points at the two men, innocently asks, "Leave? Which two? These two?"
Clarifying, Dong Kyung points at Seon Kyung and Na Ji Na, says, "These two."
Whining, Na Ji Na says,
"I can't leave. How can I leave you by yourself?"
Dong Kyung sighs, points a finger over at Myeol Mang, says,
"I am not alone. I live with him. He's going to sleep with me, tonight."
Na Ji Na's final word, voice raised, "What?!"
