(1216 Franklin avenue -The Loud House)
(Friday afternoon)
It was a calm day in the Loud House, and that was concerning considering it was very rare for things to be calm in 1216 Franklin avenue! The neighbor, Mr Grouse, was actually enjoying the peace and quiet for once, as he could finally watch his games without interruption.
Meanwhile in the house in question, a family meeting was taking place. This was no ordinary family meeting, since this very specific family meeting will decide what to do with Lincoln, since just earlier today he got expelled from Royal Woods Middle School for something he claims he didn't do!
"So... how is everyone's day?"inquired Lynn Sr, causing everyone to not respond and leave an awkward silence.
"Dad, let's just get to the point already. I have homework I need to do."send Lori on Leni's smartphone, since she was away at Fairway University.
"Okay. As I'm sure you are all aware, Lincoln has been expelled from Royal Woods Middle School."said Rita, deciding to join the conversation.
"Yeah! After he decided to write Lincoln Loud rules and spray paint all over the Halls! Does he have any idea how long it's going to take the janitor to clean that up!"said Lynn, who was convinced that her brother was guilty.
"Now now, LJ. We don't know for sure if it was him or not."said Lynn Sr, motioning for his daughter to calm down.
"How can I calm down when I been kicked off the hall monitor force! If that wasn't bad enough, I'm getting the stink eye from everyone just because I'm his sister! Ahh, I still don't know why he did what he did!"said Lynn, knowing she was taking heat from others just because she was related.
"Lincoln swears up and down that he didn't do it, and we're inclined to believe him until more thorough evidence proves his guilt."said Rita, causing her daughter to look at her with a shocked face.
"How much more proof do you need? The perpetrator literally had turkey tail white hair!"said Lynn, who saw the video of the person spray painting the hallways with Lincoln Loud rules!
"Yes, but the suspect never shows his face even once. There is a possibility that elder male sibling has been framed."said Lisa, willing to give her older brother the benefit of the doubt since the person who spray painted the hallways never showed his face once.
"Really! Well how do you explain the white hair?"inquired Lynn, once again being notoriously stubborn.
"Dude could have dyed his hair or was wearing a wig. Anything is possible, bra."said Luna, willing to give her brother the benefit of the doubt.
"Yeah, and I remember Mom and Dad got rid of all the spray paint in the house."said Leni, wondering how Lincoln could have spray painted the hallway with no spray paint.
"He could have bought some at the store!"retorted Lynn stubbornly.
"Yeah, with what money? He literally used all his money to buy some limited edition David Steele comic book."said Lori, who knows about this since Lincoln told her.
"Well... he could have borrowed some money."said Lynn, making everyone else facepalm, as they couldn't believe she was being this stubborn.
They all know how much Lynn loves being a hall monitor, but how can she believe her brother is guilty when there is so little proof of his guilt! Was she this willing to put the blame on someone just because she was upset? That is what pretty much everyone thought.
"Well I don't think he's guilty. I woke up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water, and I swear I could hear him snoring in his room."said Luan, who felt like her brother was innocent.
"But did you see him?"inquired Lola, to which Luan moved her head left and right to indicate no, she didn't see him...
"Well things are not going to look good for us until we prove he's innocent or not."said Lana, causing Lola to step in.
"Yeah! All this bad publicity is affecting all of us. Even the kids at elementary school think that Lincoln is guilty, and are giving us gripe about it."said Lola, who hated being given the stink eye by people who didn't know anything.
"I think Lincoln is suffering the worse."said Leni, knowing that everyone in town thinks he's a criminal.
"Yeah. Little dude's permanent record and all that are ruined now because he's expelled."said Luna, wondering what was going to happen to her little bro now that he couldn't go to school.
"Is is there any way to fix it?"inquired Lucy, who didn't want anything bad to happen to Lincoln.
"That's actually why we called this family meeting."said Rita, causing her husband to pull out the flyer that got from Flip.
"What's that?"inquired Lana, wanting to know what was in her dad's hands.
"Since Lincoln will most likely not be able to attend any of the nearby schools in the foreseeable future, because of what happened. Your father and I decided it was best to send Lincoln somewhere... far away until the heat dies down."said Rita, ask her husband passed the flyer around.
"Uva Academy?"said Luan, reading the flyer.
"You guys want to send Lincoln to an island off the coast of Spain?"inquired Lucy, feeling that was a bit extreme.
"It was actually Lincoln's idea. He wants to go to this school, we just want to know what you guys think."said Lynn Sr, shocking his family.
"Huh? Why?"asked Leni, wondering why Lincoln wanted to go away.
"Well... Lincoln would probably be safer right now in a place that people don't know him."said Rita, to which her daughter's couldn't argue against, as she did have a point.
"Well if it means getting my rep back, send him to Spain, or Japan, or wherever! As long as it's not in Royal Woods."said Lynn, shocking her sisters.
"Dude, that's cold."said Luna, as even for Lynn that was low.
"Hey! He and us are better off if he's somewhere else for a few weeks, maybe a few months. It's definitely better than sending him to Aunt Ruth."said Lynn in her defense, to which her sisters begrudgingly agreed was a good.
"Hmm."said Rita, who was the only one in her family who didn't think that her Aunt Ruth was disgusting.
"Well... as long as it's not a permanent thing, I guess I give my support. Lincoln needs an education, and being somewhere far away where no one knows him is probably for the best."said Lori, reluctantly giving her support.
"I agree with Lori. The only way this is going to go away is if Lincoln and Royal Woods has space."said Leni, knowing that some space between people who are heated was what was best.
After all, that was the main point of the sister fight protocol!
"Little dude can't just not go to school...And mom and dad are too busy to homeschool him...So I guess I'll give my support."said Luna, wondering if she was making the right choice.
"Well I can't fork Lincoln to do anything he doesn't want to. Hahahaha! But seriously, if this is what he wants, I'll give him my support."said Luan, giving her support a hundred percent.
"You already know where I stand."said Lynn, making the rest of her family roll their eyes.
"I'll be sad without Lincoln, but for his sake he needs to leave Royal Woods, at least until his innocence is proven. So I'll agree to send him to this Uva Academy."said Lucy, reluctantly giving her support.
"I guess things will work out in time. I mean, maybe the real culprit will turn up.. Until then, Lincoln is safer at that Academy. So I'll get my support."said Lana, giving her support.
"If it means that his bad reputation doesn't affect my reputation, he can go wherever he wants for all I care."said Lola, selfishly giving her support.
"While I have never heard of this school before, it is true that elder male sibling unit is better off somewhere where people don't think he's a criminal. So I'll give my support."said Lisa, deciding to support Lincoln's decision to leave.
"Lily will miss Lincoln. But Lily knows this is for the best."said Lily, giving her support.
"Okay, I guess Lincoln will be heading off to Uva Academy. Now you girls go to your rooms, while we call Lincoln down. He needs to make a call to Uva Academy, and see if they are willing to accept him as a student."said Rita, causing some of her daughters to complain.
"Come on, it's not that big of a deal."said Lynn Sr, causing all of his daughters to reluctantly go to the second floor and into their rooms.
"Lincoln, you can come down now."said Rita, causing her son to quickly make his way out of his room and down the stairs.
"Is Lynn gone?"inquired Lincoln, knowing that his sister was still mad at him for something he didn't do.
"She has been told to stay away from you."said Lynn Sr, causing his son to let out a sigh of relief.
"Phew...So, what did they say?"inquired Lincoln, wondering if he was going to Uva Academy or not.
"Your sister's gave their permission a hundred percent. Now we just have to contact the school and see if they are still accepting students."said Rita, feeling like this was not a good idea, but what choice did she have.
As long as he was in Royal Woods, Lincoln was not safe, since people think he is a criminal. He's not even safe in his own house, what with Lynn blaming him for losing her Hall monitor position!
"I'm dialing the number for the school now."said Lynn Sr, typing down the phone number on the flyer onto his laptop.
A few seconds later a connection was formed, and a call sign up appeared on the screen. Lincoln and his parents held their breath as they waited for the person on the other end to respond.
"Hello?"set an older gentleman wearing circular glasses on the screen.
This gentleman appears to be wearing a purple suit jacket, black dress shirt, and what appeared to be a small puffy white scarf around his neck.
"Hello, are you associated with Uva Academy?"inquired Lincoln, wondering if this older gentleman had anything to do with the school.
"Yes, I am. I'm Mr Clavell, director of Uva Academy. Now can you tell me who you are?"inquired the man named Mr Clavell.
"My name is Lincoln Loud. I'm from Royal Woods, Michigan, and I'm wondering if I can enroll in your school."said Lincoln, decided to get straight to the point.
"Ah, I see. Well this is the number from the flyer we sent to the United States for anyone who was interested in joining our fine Academy. So far, you're the only one who answered the flyer. I wonder why that is."said Mr Clavell, revealing the Lincoln was the only one who answered the call.
"Well I'm sure people had their reasons."said Lincoln, who can understand why some people would not want to leave the United States and go to an island off the coast of Spain, since it would be too far away from home.
"Well Lincoln Loud, do you mind me asking why you want to join Uva Academy?"inquired Mr Clavell, making Lincoln sweat nervously.
He pondered for a moment what he should do...A few seconds later he took a deep breath and decided to come clean with the director, since lying now could affect his stay at Uva Academy in the near future. It can also mean he will not be accepted into the school, but that's a risky he was willing to take!
"The truth of the matter is... I was recently expelled for my current school for something I didn't do."said Lincoln, before he began typing something on to the computer.
"My word! What happened?"inquired the director of Uva Academy.
"I just sent you a link."set Lincoln, causing Mr Clavell to open up the link and watch the video of the mysterious person spring Lincoln Loud rules all over the hallways.
"Well I noticed this individual has similar white hair to you, but never once does he show his face. I wonder why the school decided to take this lack of evidence as means to expel you?"said Mr Calvell, feeling like a more thorough investigation should have been commenced.
"Well the school doesn't have very much money due to budget cuts...And unfortunately many people already think I'm guilty because of the white hair, which you can probably tell is unique."said Lincoln, admitting to everything.
"Well... this evidence should never have been used as means to expel you, young man. A cannot believe that an institution dedicated to teaching young minds would accept what is clearly a smear campaign. I just met you, Master Lincoln, but I can already tell you're an honest young man with his flaws, but you are willing to work on them. This looks to me like a setup, and nothing more."said Mr Clavell, making Lincoln let out of breath of relief.
"Oh you have no idea how happy I am to hear that, Mr Clavell. It has it been easy in my hometown, since pretty much everyone thinks I'm a criminal, but I swear I had nothing to do with that."said Lincoln, glad that some adult besides his parents finally believes him and his innocence.
"Well I look into your eyes, Master Lincoln. And I can already tell that you're telling the truth, as the eyes are the windows into the soul. And your eyes show someone who is overwhelmed by everything."said Mr Clavell, believing that Lincoln is innocent based on his eyes.
"Thank you. Anyway, you can probably already guess why I want to go to Uva Academy as soon as possible."said Lincoln, hoping the director would catch on.
"Well since you just stated that pretty much everyone in your hometown which is... Royal Woods thinks you're a criminal, I can see why you would want to go somewhere far away. Well you don't appear to be a bad young man, so I have no reason to turn you down. All you need is your parents permission, and I will be happy to begin the paperwork to accept you into our fine establishment."said Mr Clavell, causing Lincoln the motion for his parents to come over.
"My parents have already agreed to. Right Mom and Dad?"said Lincoln, as his parents approach the screen.
"Um...Hi..."said Lynn Sr, not sure what to say.
"Hello, Mr and Mrs Loud. I'm Mario Clavell, director of Uva Academy."said Mr Clavell, reintroducing himself.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr Clavell. As my son just stated, he really needs to get away from Royal Woods for a while, and after discussing it with the rest of the family...We feel it is best if he attends your school, at least until we find a way to prove his innocence."said Rita, let's switch the director quietly listened.
"I understand.."said Mr Clavell."I just sent you some electronic documents you need to fill out, just fill them out and I can have someone pick up your son as soon as tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?! That soon?!"shouted Lynn Sr, feeling like that was so sudden.
"Well your son stated that he wants to leave his hometown as fast as possible, so I'm doing just that. I have already arranged for tickets to the Royal Woods airport, all you need to do is fill out the documents, and we are all set."said Mr Clavell, just as the Loud parents opened up the link with the documents.
"Hmm... wow this looks like a good institution. It provides room, food, and education completely free at cost. This place is as good as a private school."said Lynn Sr, reading through the documents.
"Your right. And I see your school and pretty much all of this island have called Paldea is powered by renewable energy...That is definitely a bonus."said Rita, who was reading the documents with her husband.
"Just give your signatures, and we are all set."said Mr Clavell, just as the Loud parents finish reading everything.
"Pokemon League? Huh, never heard of it."said Lynn Sr under his breath, just as he pulled out his electronic pen to give his signature.
Once he was finished, he handed the pen over to Rita. Rita appears to hesitate for a moment, before she remembered the looks the people of Royal Woods gave her son on the way home...That is when she took a deep breath and gave her signature.
Lynn Sr meanwhile sent the electronic documents back to Mr Clavell in Paldea.
"Your son is all set. Just take him to the Royal Woods airport tomorrow, and the people in charge there will hand him his ticket, and take him to his plane. All expenses have been paid, so no need to worry of wasting any money. I can't wait to make your son a fine member of Uva Academy. Since I have a great feeling he will be an excellent studentm"said Mr Clavell, before he disconnected the call.
"Phew.. looks like I'm going to be safe for a while."said Lincoln, as now his angry sister and the angry people of Royal Woods can't get to him in Paldea.
"Do you what to do anything before we take you to the airport tomorrow?"inquired Rita, wanting to know if there was something her son wanted to do.
"No thanks. Just you guys willing to believe I'm innocent is more than enough."said Lincoln before he began making his way up the stairs to his room.
"Where are you going, Lincoln?"inquired Lynn Sr.
"I'm going to go to bed early, since I have a big day tomorrow."said Lincoln, causing his parents to smile, as they watch their son go up the stairs and head into his room.
"Are you sure we're making the right decision?"inquire Rita to her husband.
"Lincoln will be safe for over there than here. At least that director was willing to give Lincoln the benefit of the doubt, other people might not be so willing... especially people who live in Royal Woods."said Lynn Sr, who knows better than anyone that his family doesn't have... a favorable reputation.
It's not a bad reputation... But it's not a good one either...And now with pretty much everyone thinking Lincoln is a delinquent criminal who likes to spray paint, it was better for everyonez and especially Lincoln if he was somewhere safe for a while.
"I guess you're right. Lincoln's education and safety should be our top priority...I just hope he makes good friends over there at Uva Academy."said Rita, who looked at the direction that led to her son's room with hope, hope that he would be proven innocent and that he would have a pleasant time over there at his new school.
Meanwhile, Lincoln had changed into his pajamas and quickly took a sip of water from a nearby water bottle before he got into his bed, and put his blanket over his body. A couple of moments later Lincoln was fast asleep, since it had been a long day and he was exhausted.
As Lincoln slept, he had what you would call a very weird dream that night.
In the dream, Lincoln was standing in the middle of an amazing looking town as confetti and fireworks blast it all around! He then noticed that he was holding some kind of trophy, a really big trophy that look like it was made of solid gold! He then saw what appear to be a check with a lot of money in his other hand.
This made Lincoln smile as he saw crowd of people, including his family and friends cheering his name. It was in that moment that Lincoln realized that he was standing on the top of a tall podium, like A champion who just won a championship match.
That was it the only thing Lincoln noticed, since a few seconds later he noticed six creatures standing in front of him.
He couldn't see the details to clearly, but he can make out their appearances...sort of.
The first creature look like a large white rabbit.
The second creature reminded Lincoln of some kind of sea serpent
The third creature reminded Lincoln of a dog
The fourth creature reminded Lincoln of a plant
The fifth creature reminded Lincoln of bull
And the 6th and final creature reminded Lincoln of some kind of dragon like creature.
Lincoln didn't know why, but he felt like he could trust these creatures with his life! Like they had been through thick and thin together, watching each other's back as they accomplish the impossible again and again!
Lincoln in the real world meanwhile smiled like he never smiled before, wondering what tomorrow was going to bring him.
Only he had no idea what he was going to discover as soon as he arrived in Pladea!
Can you guess which creatures are represented in Lincoln's dream?
