After feasting on take out, gossiping, Na Ji Na crashed on her bed while Dong Kyung sat at her vanity table trying out her friend's new hair straightener. Dong Kyung was delighted with the looks of her hair, mumbling to herself,
"This is nice. Should I steal it?"
When suddenly, the doorbell dings, Dong Kyung attempts getting Na Ji Na's attention,
"Hey Unni, there's someone at the door. Are you expecting someone this late?"
Na Ji Na groans, rolling over in bed.
Dong Kyung gets up, shuffles to the door, still carrying the flat iron, opens it just a crack, surprised by the face on the other side. Gasping, says,
"Team leader!"
Cha Joo Ik glances up at the door number, nods to himself, acknowledges Dong Kyung,
"Your hair looks very nice."
The three sat at a tiny kitchen table serving as Na Ji Na's temporary desk. Dong Kyung gazed between the two people, tapped her chin, said,
"So you signed a separate contract between the two of you?"
Na Ji Na nervously attempts to explain,
"Well you see…"
Cha Joo Ik cuts her off,
"It's a waste to explain. I felt she needed my guidance to perform better."
Dong Kyung closes her eyes, a finger over her mouth, contemplates, says
"I see…so it's your goodwill. Of course it's for profit. So you only work together? Is that it?"
He asks,
"Don't you do things with other writers?"
Dong Kyung responds,
"Well, yes, I go for walks, have coffee and eat dinner once in awhile. I am not saying you two should do that…but see he never lets one go. Ok I am done checking up on you two. It's time for me to go. I have someone waiting at home for me too,"
At those timely words, she left the couple, wondering exactly the nature of their relationship moving forward. But, for now, her heart felt lighter, knowing she is going home and Myeol Mang is waiting there in his usual spot, reading a book.
