Walking amongst the brightly lighted, polished floors, elaborate displayed clothes, perfumes and other paraphernalia, Myeol Mang wonders why Dong Kyung dragged him out on this shopping excursion. Following closely behind, as they pass some other shoppers, he inquires,
"Why am I here right now?"
She cheerily responds,
"I have a purpose today."
He asks, "What?"
She strides towards a wall of tennis shoes, responds,
"I'm going to spend my money purposefully. This is my first time doing this in my life. So I need you here."
Puzzled, he asks,
"Why do you need me?"
Smiling, she responds,
"You can be entertained while I spend money. So just have fun."
Walking the length of the wall of men's tennis shoes, she informs the sales lady she wants to purchase all of them in size 10. The sales lady calculates the price, holds up her smart phone showing a price well over what Dong Kyung is willing to splurge. Smiling she walks several rows inward, narrowing her range of shoes down to two rows instead of the entire wall! Myeol Mang shakes his head over her foolish antics, mildly concerned why she feels the need to purchase so many shoes.
Leaving that store, he is loaded down with several bags, rather annoyed, he asks,
"You have two feet. Do you really need to buy so many pairs of shoes?"
Grinning, she says
"If you want to wear them according to season, you need that many. Do you know how roughly Tak Seon Kyung wears his shoes?"
Before he can receive any answer, she hurries off in another direction. Luckily his long strides keep up with her petite scurrying figure. He sighs heavily, uncertain how much he is enjoying this shopping trip and purposefully spending money.
