Myeol Mang entered little God's hospital room, noticed the curtain closed around her bed, reaching to open the curtain, hears her muffled voice,
"I'm changing. Talk like this…"
He stares at the curtain, says,
"I am sorry for not listening to you. I won't do that anymore. This isn't a compromise, but me giving in."
Through the curtain, she faintly asks,
"Why? So you can be a nice guy?"
He responds,
"I'll try. So, that you won't have to worry."
She quietly asks,
"What am I worried about?"
Quietly he responds,
"She will never abandon the world. I'll make sure it doesn't happen because that's what I want. And I've been meaning to tell you, I've always taken pity on you. I've pitied you longer than I felt resentment towards you. Thank you for letting me be born. Lately that's what I've been feeling."
Briefly he gazes at the curtain, eyes full of remorse, turns and walks quietly out of the room.
Little God sobbed, as blood ran down her fingertips onto the blanket. She felt proud of her creation, he had finally grown into an emotionally, loving being, accepting of his fate.
