Myeol Mang relaxed back into his chair, upright posture, hands folded in front, casually gazing at the pair seated a few tables away. Dong Kyung gazed at her palm a few more moments before looking up at the youth, a serious expression written in her soft brown eyes.
Dong Kyung asks,
"Writer, I'd like to ask you something? If I choose someone I love, the world will be doomed. And to save the world, someone I love dies. With this set up, how can you make it a happy ending?"
Pondering, he responds,
"If the lead doesn't love anyone, it'll solve everything. It'll be sad for the lead, but that's what the chosen one must bear."
She quietly asks,
"Would it be a happy ending when the lead is sad?"
Nodding, he answers,
"But others in the world will be happy that the lead saved. That is how it is for the lead. Who's new work is it?"
She shakes her head, answers,
"As expected, you deserve to be in the top ten."
He nods in agreement, asks,
"By the way, I've been wanting to ask you. Editor, are you dating that Yup Duk place owner?"
Shocked by his question, she responds,
"Huh, sorry?"
Glancing over her shoulder, looks at Myeol Mang, he says,
"He's been glaring over here. To be exact, the moment I signed on your hand."
Quickly glancing back at Myeol Mang, who sat sipping his drink, Dong Kyung turns around, nods, saying,
"Well, yes we are dating."
Park Young grins, excitedly responds,
"Wow. I didn't know you liked handsome guys."
His cell phone began buzzing, glancing at the lighted up screen, says,
"I think I have to go. I can tell someone is looking for me."
She smiles, sweetly says,
"Thank you, writer."
Leaping up from his chair, arrogantly says,
"If you're thankful, advertise for me. I'll get going, Noona."
Surprised by his familiarity, she questions,
"Noona?"
Grinning, Park Young says, "You said your not an editor anymore. So goodbye, Noona."
Shaking her head she watched as he walked by, heading towards the exit.
Myeol Mang watched as the annoying youth came closer, stretching out one long leg, Park Young leaps over, turns around, glares.
He says, "So immature."
Myeol Mang responds,
"I got long legs."
Park Young meets dark challenging eyes, sarcastically responds,
"Why are you here and not doing business? Did you go out of business?"
Smiling tolerantly Myeol Mang grits out,
"Just leave quietly."
Park Young sticks out his tongue, replies,
"I will leave loudly."
Leaping up, Myeol Mang readies for a fight with the youth, but Park Young quickly darts out the door.
Myeol Mang grumbles under his breath,
"Seriously."
Dong Kyung walks up from behind, in a soothing tone says,
"What's wrong? He's a kid."
Irritated at the interaction, he grumbles,
"He's not just a kid. He's a rude kid."
She inquires stupidly,
"You want to fight with that kid?"
Pouting, he asks,
"Whose side are you on?"
Gazing at the paperwork, she soothingly says,
"Obviously I am on your side. Let's go."
She walks out the door, leaving Myeol Mang no other choice but to follow, in frustration, he yells,
"Are you sure you're on my side? Aren't you just saying that, so I will drive you?"
