This is a short chapter but I already started working on the next one, so far it is pretty long and I still have next week to do it

I hope you're ready for that one but first is this!

I don't own Naruto

THE UCHIHA AND THE FINAL ROUND

As Naruto entered the academy once again he trained and studied his butt off! He also had a birthday, which Hiruzen gave a present to Naruto. During this year he had become closer with Kiba and he would sometimes talk with Hinata because of what happened.

It was the time of year that was always the most stressful for Naruto, the genin exams!

If he didn't pass this time, he would be kicked out of the academy, and he would not be able to become a ninja, at least to his knowledge.

As the Genin exams approached, Naruto was eager to prove himself as a skilled ninja. However, he faced a challenge as he didn't have good chakra control, not even Haruto could help him since he lacked knowledge on it too. Despite being determined, Naruto could only perform the Substitution Jutsu and the Transformation Jutsu, struggling to create Clones due to his inability to control his chakra effectively.

On the few days before the exam, Naruto dedicated all his free time to master his chakra control since he knew it was a problem.

Hitomi Uchiha, Sasuke's twin sister, finally appeared in the village after 3 years of being gone. She had been gone ever since the Uchiha Massacre, it's unknown what she did but she had returned just in time for the exams.

When she returned to the village the council held a meeting and decided to let her pass, after all she was an Uchiha so she was perfect for them.

Hitomi changed during the years she was gone, her face was smoother and clearer somehow and her body sort of looked like another student, Ino Yamanaka who had blond hair, instead she had black hair and it was much longer than before.

Just in case you forgot, Hitomi has a very carefree and laidback attitude, unlike her brother Sasuke. As the day progressed, Hitomi took notice of Naruto's determination to become a ninja and the strange eye that still feels familiar after all the years she was gone. At first she didn't seem to pay attention to Naruto but he slowly gained her interest.

Before the exams, Naruto, feeling dejected, retreats to a secluded spot to practice the leaf sticking technique, used to help control chakra. He believes that mastering this technique will help him do the Clone Jutsu. As Naruto trains in secret, he is unaware that a pair of dark eyes were observing from a distance.

Curious about Naruto's persistent efforts despite failing constantly, Hitomi decides to approach him. She casually walks over and sits next to him, "Hey, failing the exam is not a big deal. You shouldn't be so serious about it."

Naruto, surprised by her sudden appearance, looks at her with confusion. "But they're a huge deal! You don't care?" he asked.

Hitomi shrugged nonchalantly. "Not really. I mean, it's just an exam. You can try again next year and if not then you can just keep training anyways until you're ready, it's not as if the village is going to reject a good ninja. So it's really no biggie," she replies with a slight smile.

Naruto was taken aback by her attitude, but he can't help but feel a strange sense of comfort around her. They start talking, and Hitomi shares some of her own past failures and how she learned not to dwell on them.

Intrigued by her outlook, Naruto begins to open up to Hitomi. He tells her about the pressure he feels to prove himself and the loneliness he experiences due to being an outcast in the village. Hitomi listens without judgment, understanding Naruto's perspective.

As they spend more time together, Naruto and Hitomi develop an unexpected friendship. She encourages him to let go of his worries and have fun, reminding him that being a ninja isn't just about passing exams. Naruto starts to think about the little things in life and finds joy in simple pleasures, thanks to Hitomi's influence.

During the days leading up to the Genin exam, Naruto secretly continues to practice the Clone Jutsu along with the leaf sticking technique, driven by his determination to prove himself. Hitomi often tags along to watch his progress, occasionally offering playful and sarcastic remarks.

Hinata and Naruto's friends also joined in and she became well known in the group.

Shikamaru was a bit suspicious at first but he decided it was too much of a drag to investigate.

Finally, the day of the Genin exam arrives. Naruto feels more at ease and confident, thanks to Hitomi's carefree attitude and his friends support. When the exams begin however, that all changes.

During the written test of the Genin exams, Naruto struggled to answer the questions correctly due to his limited knowledge of fundamental ninja skills but because of his past experiences he got a few correct questions. His classmates, who had received proper training, easily outperformed him. Naruto's confidence waned as he realized he might not pass the exam again.

As the fighting portion came, Naruto got an above average score which Naruto was proud of but still wasn't good enough.

As the Jutsu portion approached Naruto walked into the classroom where only Iruka and Mizuki sat.

Naruto did the Jutsu but when the Clone Justu came up, Naruto made a lifeless clone.

Naruto failed the exam.

Like I said in the beginning, I already started the next chapter and it is for sure longer than usual chapters.

I don't know what else to put here but some feedback would be great!

I still don't know how to write so I think I might take some time off before Naruto gets his team which isn't far from now.

anyways, I don't own Naruto.
