169. The Warning (8)

He'd managed to get Rachel to wake up and demorph, and had been convinced by Jason to allow him to scan Rachel while she demorphed, so that he and Zordon could teleport the rest of the Animorphs to the Command Center. Of course, he also made sure to extract a promise from Jason that he'd stay away from Tommy's foster parents in particular, and anything to do with The Sharing in general. It was really the best he could do, under the circumstances.

Once Jake and the rest of the Animorphs had all been teleported to the Power Rangers' Command Center, Jake was naturally the first one to demorph.

"Thanks," Jake said, moving to lean against the huge console that spanned the entire edge of the Command Center's circular main room.

"It's no problem," Jason said, though he still sounded worried. "What were you kids trying to do, anyway?"

He and the rest of the Animorphs shared a speaking glance, before Jake took a deep breath and started telling Jason just what it was that they were trying to look into.
