Neverland
Amelia held onto the Jolly Roger for dear life as the ship leapt out of the sea, leaving behind the light they had left in Storybrooke to the darkness that surrounded them that was only illuminated by the moon that hung up high in star filled sky.
"Is that it?!" Emma yelled out over the sound of the waves to the ships Captain as she saw an island in the distance
"Aye" the Captain confirmed as he glared towards the island that loomed in the distance "Neverland"
Once the ship had settled on the calm waves that lapped against the hull, Amelia walked away unnoticed by the others taking out the old envelope that Gold had given her just as they boarded the vessel with the instruction to read it as they arrived. Carefully opening it to reveal what was inside, she felt her heart skip a beat and her breath hitching in her throat as tear filled eyes read over the hand written word she hadn't seen in decades. U Using the only source of light of the full moon she carefully read over again and again the words written upon the piece of parchment as her world spun once again.
Elsewhere on the ship, Hook manned the helm with the former Evil Queen standing next to him as he slowed the ship down to a steady pace as they sailed towards the island as she saw Amelia alone reading something in her hand, before she noticed the ship wasn't heading towards the island fast enough
"Why are you slowing down?" Regina asked the pirate "In case you didn't know, my son's life is in danger!"
"Oh, I know, my hot-headed Queen. The plan is to bring us to the far side of the island, link up with the widest part of the river, and.. then we sail right through, take him by surprise" he explained to the monarch "The irony..." he trailed off in thought
"What irony?"
"Oh, I spent more time than I care to remember trying to leave this place to kill Rumplestiltskin. And here I am, sailing right back into its heart with him as my guest of honour. It's not quite the happy ending I was hoping for"
"Greg Mendel said something funny to me" the Queen mused to the pirate "He said I'm a villain, and that villains don't get happy endings. You believe that?"
His eyes glanced down the ship until he saw the back of the redheaded Assassin "I hope not, or we've wasted our lives"
With her mind spinning she found Gold in the Captain's cabin, swiftly following the man down the hatch to find him alone back in the clothes he once wore in the Enchanted Forest minus his scaled glittered/ scaled skin that had earned him the nickname of 'Crocodile' by Captain Hook himself.
The older man turned around sensing her presence and saw the piece of paper clutched in her hand "Tell me why I shouldn't find your dagger and kill you where you stand?" she glowered at the man anger evident on her face as she faced the man that had been lying to her for years.
"Because you wouldn't kill what little of what remains of your family now would you?" he retorted curtly to the redhead
"So, it's true" she gulped the anger fading by the second
"It is" he nodded "Your mother was once my dear sister, Juliet" he confirmed as she heard a hint of sadness coming from his voice. He missed her. Something she rarely heard from the man in front of her "We were separated from one another at a young age. It was only through your father's actions that I ever knew she was still alive until he sent me that letter in your hand. Fate intervened with your parents like it has with you again and again"
"What do you mean?"
"I assume you know of the prophesy that surrounds your birth?" she could only meekly nod at the man. She knew it well enough. Angelo, the caretaker of Monteriggioni who dealt with the day to day business of the city was obsessed with it. Enough to hire a leather clad pirate with a hook to ambush her and John's ship in the middle of the night to stop it from ever coming true.
"It prophesied that a child born of star-crossed lovers of warring sides would become one of the most powerful being's in the realm, powerful enough to kill even myself. Fate brought you back to the Enchanted Forest to seek your vengence...and to me"
"Fate didn't kill my husband or take my son away from me. Angelo did that. The Brotherhood did" she spat at the man. She didn't believe in it, that everything she did or will ever do would always take her to the same place. Not fate or destiny would ever take control of her.
Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted. That's was Romeo taught her. What every Assassin was brought up to believe.
"Ah but it put on a path that brought you right here right now, while your old family feared it. I nurtured it into the woman you are today"
"Is that why you told me, to get me on this damn ship" the question came out as a whisper. He had decades to tell her she wasn't alone.
"Like I said to you back in Storybrooke, its family business. I need your skills for the foe we are about to face, I just had to give you a reason to face him" he tells her "And what better reason than to save your family. Our family"
She wanted to scream at the man, do something, but with the others just above them she couldn't risk this getting out just now. With clenched fists either side of her she let a calming breath and spoke "So what's your plan…Uncle" she spat out the last word as it felt foreign to her.
Gold waved his hand and red smoke engulfs the assassins torso she felt her borrowed clothes change and looked down just as the smoke disappeared to see that he had changed her into her assassin robes.
But these set of robes were different from her normal set. For one the outer coat was shorter as it came to the top of her knees, it was forest green with long sleeves, leather pants and calf high boots, she felt it hug her curves. Attached to her hip was a Kukri blade instead of her swords. Her bracers still lay on her forearms but the one on her left had a phantom blade attached to the bracer top of the brace with the normal hidden blade on the bottom.
"Right now, I need the Black Widow, not Amelia Montague. So, when the time comes, I need you to do what you are good at" she couldn't move as he made his way out of the captain's a beat the assassin followed the older man out and overheard the tail end of a conversation between the blonde and her parents.
"Emma, the minute I let go of the belief that things will get better is the minute that I know they won't. We'll find him" they heard Mary Margaret trying to reassure her daughter only to be interrupted by Gold.
"No, you won't" he tells them plainly. Everyone turning to see Mr. Gold standing at the helm garbed in his old Rumplestiltskin outfit and Amelia in her Assassins robes.
"Oh, that's a great use of our time—a wardrobe change!" Hook exclaimed sarcastically from the helm towards the Dark One and Assassin. Amelia turned her head to glare at the pirate making the Captain think twice before challenging them further.
"I'm gonna get Henry" Gold continued
"We agreed to do this together" Regina argued to the man
"Actually, we made no such agreement"
"Why are you doing this?" the saviour asks the older man
"Because I wanna succeed"
"What makes you think I'm gonna fail?"
"Well, how could you not? You don't believe in your parents, or in magic, or even yourself" he listed off
"I slayed a dragon; I think I believe" she retorted
"Only what was shown to you" he pointed out the blonde "When have you ever taken a real leap of faith? You know, the kind where there's absolutely no proof? I've known you some time, Miss Swan. And, sadly, despite everything you've been through, you're still just that... bail bonds-person, looking for evidence. Well, dearie, that's not gonna work in Neverland"
"I'll do whatever it takes"
"Well, you just need someone to tell you what that is. Sorry, dearie, our foe is too fearsome for hand holding. Neverland is a place where imagination runs wild. And, sadly, yours doesn't" He spins his cane, which falls to the deck. In the next second, Mr. Gold is gone from the ship leaving his cane behind.
With the sudden exit of the Dark One the groups of hero's and villain united in the cause to get Henry, divided as they mulled over the threat that was Neverland. Amelia stood at the Starboard bow as she stared out the dark island that lay ahead of them with her head still whirling from the discovery of a family she had yearned for so long, being there under her nose the whole time.
The horizon was doing nothing to calm her nerves as it always did in the past. She doesn't know if it was because of the location they were in or the new piece of information about her family. Not that it was much to go by to start off with.
But she had to focus on the mission on hand.
Saving Henry.
The Brotherhood held little information about the Neverland. Nothing she ever read about. The unknown territory unsettled her deeply. She knew nothing. Only the man she discovered as family knew something and he was now nowhere to be found.
"You were oddly quiet back there" Regina's voice broke her train of thoughts. The former Evil Queen walked to stand next to the red head "You're usually more vocal when the Imp takes over"
"There was nothing more to be said, I think the old man said enough to unsettle them" referring to the hero's, she paused not sure how proceed with the new information. If there anyone she could tell it to, it was Regina, even though she had ended their 'relationship' she wanted to confide in the former Queen. Out of all of them on the ship she was the only one she could trust.
"Then what's wrong? Don't tell me his words have you unsettled as well" the Queen retorted with her arms folded and an impatient brow raised on her face.
"Matters have…complicated" She started reaching for the envelope that had opened up the can of worms in her head "I was planning on staying behind but then Rumple gave me this before we boarded the ship" Handing the letter to her the brunette, almost snatching it out of the redheads hand she opened it to read to words that she had read over and over again.
Regina looked up at the red in disbelief and confusion that quickly turned into a deep frown "Surely he's messing with you"
"He's not" Amelia quickly stopped the woman next to her "It's my father hand and his symbol marks the letter" Amelia turned her head to look at the woman "You really think I would lie about something like this" she whispered to the woman sharply as her temper rose towards the one person she trusted out of all of them on the ship
Regina let out a sigh before answering the redhead "No, of course not" they turned to see the Charming couple closing ranks near the helm "It certainly explains the sudden costume change at least" she quipped at Amelia's clothing making the redhead lips quick into a half smile.
"Not exactly my idea, but I have to say they're more comfortable than the saviours clothes I had to borrow"
"Are you going to tell them the good news?" Regina drawled out glancing towards the Charming family
"Not yet. I'm still processing being related to Rumple let alone to them through Henry" At the mention of Henry. Regina went quiet. The Assassin gently took Regina's had giving it a gentle reassuring squeeze "We'll find him" she tells the former Evil Queen
"You sound just like Mary Margaret, maybe you are related after all" Regina drawled with a small smile towards the red head, the smile was mirrored just as the ship jerked violently making those on deck stagger. Almost instinctively the assassin reached out for Regina's shoulder's keeping her upright as the ship continued to shake.
"What the hell was that!" Regina exclaimed only to answered with Amelia rushing up the ship, running past the Charming's bounding up the steps to the wheel and catching the handles of the as they turned by themselves and pushed it the opposite way.
David joined the red head behind her and joined her in steadying the ship, however the strength of the wheel threw both away from the wheel however they both recovered and grab the wheel again.
Regina joined the assassin and the prince on the upper deck "What are you doing?!" she asks the pair as Mary Margaret joins her husband at the wheel as Amelia leave them to rush over the edge to investigate the water below with her feet on the edge holding onto rope either side of her tightly.
"Trying to keep it steady" Mary Margaret yelled back at Regina
Suddenly Hook appeared followed by Emma from below deck "Prepare for attack!" he yells as he takes the wheel back
"Be more specific" the Queen asks him
"If you've got a weapon, then grab it!" he grunts out as he fights control of the wheel.
Then the screeching started. Mermaids. Their screech made her whole body come out in goosebumps as she hoists herself onto the edge of the ship to look over the edge to see the violent ripples on the surface.
"What's out there? A shark?! A whale?!" Emma asks the Captain
"A kraken" David adds next to her holding up a lantern to the edge
"Worse!" Amelia answers the pair pulling out a pistol from her robe. The screeching continued from under the water sh see's their tails breaking the surface "Mermaids!"
God she hated Mermaids
"Mermaids?!" Emma yells over the mermaids growing screeches
"Yes, and they're quite unpleasant" Hook tells the blonde
"You think?" Regina quips at the Captain
"I'll try and outrun them" he says
"How many of them are there?!" Emma asks the others as the first wave of attack came from the mermaids.
The ocean creatures used their strong fins to bat the side of the ship, hard enough for Amelia to hold onto dear life onto the rope that was keeping her on the ship. If she fell in there would be no way she was getting out alive "Doesn't matter!" she yelled to the blonde "One is bad enough"
"I will not be capsized by fish!" David exclaimed as Amelia look to her right to see the swivel cannons that armed the Jolly Roger
"Shoot at anything that moves and I'll do the same" David nods at the red head as he runs over to the swivel cannons as Amelia did the same with her pistol, pulling back the hammer of her flintlock, aiming for the fins that were left exposed on the waters surface, she pulled the trigger. The bang of the pistol let out a while bloom of smoke as the bullet met its mark by the screech of pain let out by her victim.
"Nice shot!" Emma complimented the red heads aim as Mary Margaret shouts her daughter's name to gain her attention.
The blonde runs after her mother as the red head tried her best to defend their ship until David arms his weapon "What are you doing?!"
"Fishing" the princess answers as Mary Margaret and Emma lift a heavy net overboard.
Amelia finally hears cannon fire as she continues to shoot blindly into the ocean water. David hit true as his target growls in anger.
"We caught one!" the Assassin hears Mary Margaret yell out.
"One? There are dozens of them" Regina retorts as the onslaught of mermaid attack keep coming. "Enough of this" Regina creates a fireball into her hand and fires it into the water, as the fire met the surface of the water the mermaids flee from the fireball. Regina fires another into the water as the mermaids start to disperse and the attack of the ship lessens. The third drives the mermaids away from the ship with the only sound being the creaking ship. "There. They're gone"
"Not all of them! What about that one?!" Mary Margaret points out the mermaid that she and Emma were struggling to pull up the side of the ship. Regina simple waves her hand and the mermaid and the net appear on the deck of the Jolly Roger
"Are you all out of your goddamn minds?!" Amelia exclaimed in anger to rest as she made her way towards the Mermaid. Regina circled the defenseless washed up mermaid like a predator does its prey. In any other circumstances Amelia would relish the feeling but not to this creature.
"Get that thing off my ship!" Hook exclaimed in protest with the Assassin
"No" Regina tells Hook and Amelia "Now we have a hostage"
"I hate to say it, but I'm with Hook and Lia. Those things just tried to kill us" David concurred with the pirate and hired killer
"And perhaps we should find out why" Regina suggested to the group
"How? By torturing her?" Mary Margaret questioned the woman
"Well, if need be. Sure" the group were interrupted when the mermaid grabbed a conch shell that was caught up with her and blows into it like a horn. The low vibrations made the others including Amelia to cover their ears as the horn reverberated through the air.
"What the hell is that?" Emma asked the captured mermaid
"A warning" she tells them as a clap of thunder rang out above them in the dark sky "Let me go... Or die"
Amelia lunged forward and snatched the conch shell out of the mermaids hands in a mix of anger and irritation and yelled into the woman's face "What is this? What did you do?!"
"Let me go" she repeated into the Assassin face
"Not until you tell us. Or we make you tell us" Regina warned the fish
"Threatening her isn't the way to motivate her" Mary Margaret argued
Regina looked at the Princess "Well, I'm all out of fish food"
"Doesn't matter if you get her to talk" Hook interrupted the conversation "You can't trust her. Mermaids are liars"
"Of course, they are" Emma rolled her eyes dismissively at the pirates true words
"Maybe they're just scared of Pan. If we let her go, maybe they'll be on our side" Mary Margaret suggested to the group
"Or maybe she and her friends will come right back to kill us" Regina retorted
"Oh, I don't need my friends to kill you. You'll kill yourselves. Now let me go" the group of hero's and villain jumped as another thunderclap rag out above them followed by a low rumble as the wind started to pick up making the ropes around them shake
"What the hell?!" David exclaimed
"It's a storm" Hook tells them pointing to the Mermaid "She called it. Don't let her go! She'll swim off and leave us all to die. At least with her, we've got leverage" David rushed off and comes back to the mermaid with a long sword in his hand and points it at the mermaid threateningly
"Stop the storm. Then we let you go" the prince warns the mermaid only for the latter to simply shake her head in defiance. David pushes Amelia out of the way in frustration and holds the edge of the sharp blade against the soft skin on her neck
Regina simply laughs at the Princes actions and takes the place Amelia just had "That's more like it, Charming. Filet the bitch" she goads the honourable Prince as Mermaid gasps and whimpers under David's hold. Taking a breath Charming looks up to see Mary Margaret's disbelief and Emma as he takes another and releases her stepping away
"No. We're not barbarians" David tells them much to Regina's disappointment the storm continued to pick up above them as flashes of lighting lit up the deck as the clouds rolled in above them
"What we're going to be is dead" Emma tells them
"Hold on!" Hook yelled over the thunder and lightning "I'm gonna turn her around. I've outrun many a storm"
Amelia tensed her right forearm making the hidden blade in her bracer slice out and crouched down to level with the captured holding the sharp tip of the blade to the mermaids throat "Make it stop or die" she growled at the creature
"We are not killers!" Mary Margaret argued with the assassin making the red head look up at the pixie haired woman in annoyance
"Yes, you are" the mermaid interrupted the pair "And you've brought this death upon yourselves" she tells the group
"This is why we should free her!" the princess pointed out to the red head and queen
"You should have never brought her up here in the first place!" The red head retorted over the storm "That feel-good nonsense, Snow, might play in the Enchanted Forest, but this... this is Neverland" the boat suddenly jerks as the storm grew bigger above them making Amelia grab onto a nearby rope for stability
"Keep your grip, pirate!" David complained holding onto the ropes
"It wasn't me, mate!" Hook tells him
"It was the ship!" The red head tells the Prince "We're taking on water!" the group were thrown around the deck holding onto whatever they could get their hands on
"Now may we resume killing her?!" Regina asked others
"No!" they all answered
"You kill her, and her kind have a personal vendetta against us" Mary Margaret argued to the pair
"Look, the queen and her assassin are right" Hook tried to reason with the family "They've already tried killing us"
"Stop!" Emma yelled at them "That's enough! We need to think this through!"
"I already have" Regina tells them, she waved her hand palm out the group looked at the mermaid and couldn't do anything but watch as the creature is turned to wood "There. That should stop the storm"
"Regina! What did you do?!" the sky rumbled again as they looked into night sky not to be met with the sky but to a large tidal wave looming over the Jolly Roger.
"No" Amelia said outload wide eyed as water lashed down from above them.
"What have you done?!"
Amelia wrapped the rope around her arm and wrist as the tidal wave distended upon them.
May Thor have mercy on them all
"I thought you said you could outrun a storm!" Emma told Hook as they tried to steer the wheel of the ship together. Amelia's cloak was soaked through from the water as her short hair stuck to her head and face as she, Mary Margaret and Regina hung onto ropes as Hook and Emma tried to control the ship
"This isn't a storm. It's bloody damnation!" Hook replied
Mary Margaret looked between Amelia and Regina as her temper got the better of her towards her former step-mother "Why would you do this?"
"You're going to blame me?" Regina retorted
"You turned the mermaid into wood!"
"I did something about it, which is more than what you can say!"
"Undo your spell! Bring back the mermaid!" Margaret demanded out of Regina
"And what, you'll win her over with your rainbow kisses and unicorn stickers?!" the former Queen retorted as the redhead chuckled at her words
"Considering that your plan failed, at least we could try!"
"My God" Amelia exasperated shaking her head at the Princess "You're still that naive little girl I saved all those years ago aren't you" Amelia sneered at the Princess "Why don't you go run off to your castle while I clean up your mess! Again!"
"Urgh! You're are such a.." Mary Margaret huffed at the Assassin. A bolt of lightning with a thunderclap rocketed the sky as Mary Margaret's fist met the side of Amelia's face. The red heads head snapped to the side as her body didn't even move with the force of the punch.
Mary Margaret watched as Amelia brought her head back around as she heard an audible crack from it "Huh" the red head laughed to herself smugly with a grin "Is that your best Princess?"
"Not even close! I am so tired of you two ruining my life!" Mary Margaret screamed in their faces
"We ruined your life?!" Regina retorted as she punched the Princess back with another bolt of lighting lit up the sky above them. As the three continued to scrap between them as David tried to intervene but was stopped by Hook
"Hey, let the slags go. I need you at the mast" David rounded on the pirate and sent a hard punch into the pirates face
"Don't call my wife a slag!" Emma was left stranded at the wheel as the others fought one another. The storm around them grew as the others continued to fight.
"Stop it! It's not the mermaid. It's us!" she tries to tell them as she saw Amelia get herself out of the tussle with Regina and Mary Margaret crouched down on the deck sporting a bleeding lip. Lightning hits the ship as the fight continues. Amelia too caught up in the fight went to jump back in only for Emma quickly get in her way just as she jumped up catching the assassin by her shoulders.
"No!" she yells at the red head, if there was anyone to be level-headed it would be her "If you don't stop fighting, we're all gonna die! Don't you see we're causing the storm?!" she tells Amelia holding her shoulders back. But the look in her eye told her that nothing had gotten through to the assassin as she pushed the blonde away and ran towards the scrapping Mary Margaret and Regina and ran into her mother shoulder first sending the Princess onto the deck.
Straddling the Princesses torso she reached back with her hand and the hidden blade spang itself from its bracer as a flash of lightening lit up the night sky. She was ready to take the killing blow until she saw Emma dive off the edge of the boat into to sea. She felt herself fall back onto the soaked deck as Mary Margaret pushed the assassin off her to run to the edge of the boat with David, Regina and Hook.
Her head snapped upwards as a rope snapped on the mast and she watched as a metal pully sped towards the water.
Without hesitation Amelia jumped up and ran towards the edge of the boat "Move!" she yelled as the others, they parted as she used the edge of the ship as leverage as she dived headfirst into the water
"Lia!" was the last thing she heard as she went underwater.
Regina, David and Mary Margaret couldn't see either Emma or Amelia in the stormy water. Their hearts plummeted with anxiety as they could not see either woman. Just a minute ago Amelia was ready to kill Mary Margaret right there and then, next thing they knew Emma had jumped off the boat and Amelia not soon after.
"Emma! Lia!" Margaret yelled helplessly to the water hoping someone will hear her
"Idiots!" Regina called Amelia for going after the blonde
"Regina, get them up here!" the Princess begged the former Queen
"I... I... I can't!" Regina stuttered "Not in this storm. I... I can't even see them. I'll just bring up water and half a leg" David climbs up on the rail and prepares to dive in after Emma when Hook stops him
"Wait! Look!" Hook stopped the Prince, pointing at the sea, they saw Amelia's head bop up from the water dragging an unconscious blonde in her arms. She was struggling to steady herself in the water while carrying the saviour's dead weight in her arms trying to shift an unconscious woman in her arms as she tried to keep her own head out of the water. Hook handed David a rope with a loop at the end. The Prince slips the loop over his head to his waist, and dives into the water and swam as hard as he could to Amelia and Emma.
Amelia looks towards the ship hearing the splash of water to see David in the water swimming towards them, she holds Emma tighter as she struggles to keep her own head afloat as David got nearer.
"Emma first" she tells him handing his daughter to him, he happily took her as the others watched on as Charming took the blonde from the red head and held her against him as floated on his back
"He has her! Pull!" Hook exclaimed as the three started to pull he saw they were struggling and put the rope into a metal pully as they haul David and Emma back on the deck. From the water Amelia sighed in relief as she saw Mary Margaret help pull Emma over the edge of the ship, she looked up to see the clouds start to part as the storm dissipated from the dark sky overhead.
"Melia!" Regina called over the edge to the Assassin. At her name the red head started her swim back to the ship when she froze mid stroke when she felt something grab her ankle, she couldn't do anything to fight off the assault as she was pulled under the water disappearing from Regina's sight once again.
"Melia!" Panic rose in Regina's chest as she lent' over the edge of the boat as the others heard the panic in her voice as she called out the red heads name repeatedly searching in the water below them as Emma coughed up the water from her lungs.
"What happened?" Emma asked the former Queen with her parents either side of her.
"I-I don't know she was right there, something pulled her down into the water" Regina tried to explain as she gripped the edge tempted to dive in herself, but she knew that was useless. She could be halfway to the bottom at this rate.
"Another mermaid?" David questioned
"Maybe" Regina answered uncertain. The group suddenly jumped away from the edge as a pale wet hand suddenly grabbed the edge of the ship with ready to fight whatever had decided to join them.
With swords, bows strings taunt and fireball in hand they watched as it pulled itself up over the edge of the ship to reveal a soaked Amelia with a deep cut going across her cheek that was still actively bleeding through the water that ran down her face
Taking their hands off their weapons and snuffing the ball of fire, Emma watched in astonishment as David and Hook helped the redhead over the edge and onto the deck where she was leaning heavily onto the edge as she caught her breath from being submerged in the water.
"What happened to you?" Emma asked the Assassin
"I filet a fish" Amelia huffed out as she stood herself up straight. A smirk grew on the Queen's face knowing exactly what she had done. They wouldn't be disturbed by them again.
With the information Tamara had freely given him before her death Rumple wondered the vast jungle by himself before stopping at a log and sitting himself upon it. he knew he wasn't alone.
"Come out and say hello, dearie" the jungle foliage rustles to reveal a figure in a cloak and hood
"Hello, Rumplestiltskin" Felix, leader of the Lost Boys and second to Pan greeted the man. Rumple greeted the boy back with more less enthused signature whirl of his fingers "Pan welcomes you to the island. He wanted me to tell you he is excited to see you again"
"Oh, yeah. I'm sure he is" he sarcastically retorts at the boy
"He wanted me to let you know you're welcome in Neverland, for as long as you wish to stay... With one caveat"
"There's always something with him"
"If you're here for the boy... Well... That makes you Pan's enemy"
"Then nothing's changed" Rumple glowered at the boy
"If you go against him, you will not survive" Rumple chucked to himself at the threat before stand up to face the boy
"Well, the question isn't, will I survive? Because we both know I won't. No, no. The real question is..." Rumple trailed off grabbing the front of the boys clock "How many of you I take with me" he snarled in the boys face
"So, is that your answer?"
"That's my answer"
"Well, then, I suppose that means I'll see you again, in less friendly circumstances"
"Count on it" Rumple lets go of the boy front and brushed past him heading back into the jungle
"One last thing" Felix added making Rumple stop "There's something he wanted you to have" Felix throws a two straw dolls at Gold's feet. One with a blue jacked sewn onto it and the other had bright fabric sewn onto its head as if it had long red hair and dress. The two dolls brought on onslaught of memories for the man, he knelt his face crumbles as he picked the sibling straw dolls up from the jungle floor.
Felix knelt on one knee to catch the man's eyes "Isn't it funny... The things we haven't thought about in years still have the ability to make us cry?" Felix chuckles at the man's suffering as Mr. Gold cries softly as Felix stood up to leave "See you around... Dark One"
The group of hero's and villain's made land on a small beach as they left the Jolly Roger after it had taken a beating from the mermaids and storm. Amelia buttoned up her coat to keep herself as warm as possible after jumping into the cold water as she dried off from her swim in the ocean. The cut on her cheek had stopped bleeding by the time they had finally reached dry land, but it still stung from the salt water.
If she saw another mermaid, it would be too soon.
She was relieved to see that her father's letter was left unscathed after she left it with Regina after the Queen read its words. It was the only evidence she had if she had to tell them the truth about her relation to them.
"We don't have to do it this way" Regina started as soon as they set foot on the small beach "I can fix the Jolly Roger. My magic is powerful enough. We can execute the pirate's plan"
Emma stopped and turned back to the mix of hero's and villain's "Sneak attack? Let's not be naive. Save your magic. We'll need it later, because Pan already knows we're here. It's time we stop running" Amelia's brow raised in interest as the sudden change of heart from the blonde "Gold was right. This land is run on belief. All of us have been too busy being at each other's throats to be believers. I was as wrong as anyone else. It's time for all of us to believe... not in magic, but in each other"
"You wanna be friends?" Regina asked the saviour "After everything that's happened between all of us?"
"I don't want or expect that. I know there's a lot of history here and a lot of hate"
"Actually, I quite fancy you from time to time, when you're not yelling at me" Hook admitted earning a sideways glare from the Assassin from his right
"We don't need to be friends. What we need to know is the only way to get Henry back is cooperation"
"With her? With him?" David gestured between Regina and Hook "No, Emma, we have to do this the right way"
"No, we don't. We just need to succeed" Emma tells her father "And the way we do that is by just being who we are... a hero, a villain, an assassin, a pirate. It doesn't matter which, because we're gonna need all those skills, whether we can stomach them or not"
"And what's your skill, "saviour"?" Amelia challenged the blonde
"I'm a mother, and now I'm also your leader. So, either help me get my son back or get out of the way" Emma turned from the group and started to march into the forest that surrounded the small beach. Her parents instantly followed her into the forest, closely followed by Hook who shrugged at the pair as he followed the saviour.
Amelia looked to her left to meet Regina's eyes and shrugged her shoulders towards the Queen "What can I say, I'm a sucker for hero speeches before they fail" she tells her before following Hook and the others into the forest
