Ricardo stretches lazily and blinks sleepily as Alicia leans in and kisses him awake. "Good morning," she says to him quietly and he hums, wrapping an arm around her. "It's New Years Eve!"

He chuckles and buries his face in a pillow. "I guess so," he mumbles, yawning deeply as she continues to press kisses into his sleep warm skin. "What do you want to do today?"

"Well, we could stay in bed for a little longer, then make breakfast and go out for awhile," she muses. "There's a park I want to check out. Maybe we could bring Harley."

He smiles. "Sure. I have to oversee some training later, but it's only for a couple hours."

"Maybe I'll come with you," she says softly, kissing his shoulder. "If that's alright."

"Of course!" he says, grinning a little as she cuddles into him. "Maybe we can teach the kids your Northern Lights Suplex."

She chuckles. "Maybe." She rests her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes, their finger tangling together. "Anything else we should plan today? Maybe drop in on Alberto and Sofia later?"

"Maybe. I'm not sure what they're doing, but they'd probably be happy to see us." Ricardo squints at the clock and then sits up, drawing Alicia up with him against the headboard. "So I've never really been a resolution kind of person, but maybe we could make a small list of goals for the next year. What do you think?"

"I like it," she says after a quiet moment of thought. "You start."

"Ok," he murmurs. "I think my first goal will be to play more soccer."

"Mine will be to compete for the new WWE women tag titles. Mickie and I mesh alright, I think," she says with a small grin.

"Train even more people this year than I did last."

"Be more zen," she laughs, kissing his nose. "But not this shanti nonsense Jinder and those silly Singhs tried to teach me."

He rubs her back. "I'd be thrilled to meditate with you whenever you want," he tells her and she beams, hugging him tightly. "Do more charity work, year around, not just for the holidays."

She thinks for a long moment on this. "Be involved in everything- the woman's Royal Rumble, if there's a second Evolution event, all of it- without injury this year."

He nods and reaches over. "Here, let's write these down," he says, tearing a piece of paper from his often untouched sketch pad. "If we think of more, we can write them down and maybe take a look at it at the end of the year and see how we did."

"I like that," she says, grinning as he scribbles his out on one side of the paper, hers filling the other. "Now then... breakfast? And then the park?"

"Yes, ma'am," he says, carefully folding the paper and putting it in the drawer of the bedside table before reluctantly pulling himself out of bed. "Harley, c'mere girl!" Once the dog is dancing around at his feet, panting excitedly, they go out to rustle up a quick breakfast before starting their day officially. He pauses in the kitchen doorway and grips her by the hips, a grin on his face as he pulls her into him. "It's going to be a pretty good year."

"I think so too," she hums, leaning into him and kissing him softly. "Most definitely. Good food, good pets," she laughs, looking down briefly as Harley noses at her bare calves, "great friends, a really nice place to live, amazing things happening professionally, and the best husband a girl could ask for. Not bad, all in all."

His eyes gleam as he hugs her, kissing her back. "Thank you for sharing it all with me, Alicia."

She smiles softly at him. "Hey, thank you. After everything, I wouldn't have been surprised if you gave up on dating entirely. But you took a chance on me and I'm so glad you did."

He shrugs. "Hey, you went through a lot of bad stuff too, so I guess we took chances on each other."

"Best decision I ever made," she says softly, leaning her forehead against his.

He smiles gently. "Hey, me too," he says. "But I think we all need food- especially Harley." He yelps a bit as the dog reacts to hearing her name by startling him with her nose pressing against his leg as well, shaking his head. "Come on."

Alicia laughs as she follows him into the kitchen to help with breakfast, eyes soft and fond as she marvels again at her life on this final day of 2018, how far she's come since the start.
