Ricardo sighs. Alicia had only been on Raw for a brief minute, during which Angel Garza had flirted with her, just to get struck down pretty quickly, Alicia calling back to an old meme in the middle of the pandemic to do with Ocean Spray and Fleetwood Mac, or something. He smiles a little and looks down at Andre. "Mama was on TV just now," he tells the little boy, tugging at his foot. "I know you won't remember it, but she looked beautiful as ever."
Andre shifts and squirms, close to wailing, when Ricardo kisses his cheek, smoothing his hand over the boy's chest, calming him down immediately. As he drifts back off to sleep, Sofia looks up and stares at him quietly.
"What?" Ricardo whispers to her, unsure how to feel about the weight behind her stare.
"It just seems ridiculous to me," she says. "Such a large company like WWE, risking these people to travel to Florida for a split second appearance." She shrugs and frowns back down at her hands. "Alicia and the others deserved better."
"We're in agreement," Ricardo says softly. "Especially since she'll now have to quarantine at Mike's house for awhile. But she wanted to see the Raw roster, and I... I couldn't exactly hold her off from that, could I?" He sighs. "Andre is doing fine, his last pediatrician visit went well, so I... I had no actual excuse outside of worry, when I know she'll be as careful as she can be, and..." He makes a face. "I'm scared, of course I am, but I've taken chances as well, and I have to allow her to do the same or feel like an absolute hypocrite. You know?"
Sofia nods grimly. She does. She still doesn't like it, however. It's clear by the look on his face that he's miserable too, weighing all of the "What ifs" as well. "I'm sorry," she says gently. "I know you have fears as well. I shouldn't have made it worse for you."
He smiles wearily at her and stands to put Andre in his bassinet. "Don't worry about it," he tells her quietly. "Everything will be fine. Just have to be patient."
"Of course," she says, smiling gently at him. I hope it all works out that way for you both, she thinks once he's not looking at her, her smile slipping down into a pensive frown. Alicia, I hope you haven't made a mistake by doing all of this...
