Sofia leans against the doorway to Andre's room, watching Ricardo lean over the crib, watching his son breathe. "Everything ok?" she asks with a small smile.

Alicia is still quarantining back at Mike's and Sofia can tell already how it's eating at Ricardo. He misses Alicia, especially when their son is so young and seems to grow by the minute. He hates her missing any of this, considering everything she went through just to make sure he arrived safely. "Yeah," he whispers, stroking a finger over Andre's smooth cheek. Realizing she probably couldn't hear that, he looks up and meets her eyes with a faint smile. "Si, everything's fine, Sofia. How are you doing?"

"I'm fine," she says, stepping into the room and joining him, staring down at the baby as well. They stand side by side for a few minutes, lost in thought, then she clears her throat and looks over with a faint smile. "Want to come help me bake?"

It's a stress reliever for Ricardo on a number of fronts, spending time with her, getting his hands dirty with flour and sugar and whatever else she might be working with. So he nods and follows her into the kitchen and they begin work preparing scones. She smiles faintly and shrugs when he looks curiously at her. "I thought I could finish some up and leave them outside of Mike's guesthouse so Alicia can at least have a decent breakfast."

Ricardo's eyes soften and he reaches over, squeezing her hand. "That's nice, thank you for always thinking of us, Sofia."

She smiles at him. "I always will, Ricardo. You both are my family." She pauses, glancing away. "I think you know, but hm. I was never truly interested in marrying, or having children of my own. It felt like too much responsibility, and I... I preferred putting all of my focus into taking care of my clients. Then Alberto Del Rio appeared in my life, and sent everything topsy turvy."

Ricardo chuckles. "He had a tendency to do that, si," he murmurs.

"I don't regret it, my many years working with him. After all," she muses, shaking some water off of her hand and resting it on Ricardo's. "It led me here, to this home, with you, Alicia and Andre. It's been one of the best periods of time in my life."

He smiles at her, eyes suspiciously wet. "We feel the same, trust me. I mean, it's a pandemic, I should be climbing the walls and an absolute anxious mess, but... I'm not? Not really. Not right now." He shakes his head. "Maybe that makes me a bad person, but it's the truth."

She nods. "I understand. No judgment here, trust me. I'd probably say the same thing."

He smiles at her and they turn their focus back onto the scones, pushing them into the oven a few moments later. He steps back and watches her set the timer, a half smile on his face as he glances over at the calendar, reaches over to mark off another day. Six more days, Alicia, he thinks, yearning to have her back in his arms, giggling at something dumb he'd just said or done. "Soon."

Sofia doesn't comment, just sends a faint smile his way and turns to begin cleaning up the food prep area, Ricardo joining her just to have something to do with his hands.
