While both Hen and Karen were glad that the kids had recovered from their colds, they were less than pleased to have caught the illness themselves. "I'm fucking dying," Hen moaned to her wife.
Karen side-eyed her wife. "Same but you don't hear me complaining about it." She stood up and made her way to the counter, grabbing the tea she made and adding some honey to it. "Here. Now shut up."
"You just want to die in peace," Hen accused her. She still took a tip of her tea, however.
"There is that," Karen agreed. She sneezed again, wishing her immune system was stronger than this.
Hen laid her head down on the table with a groan. "Kids."
"Little germ factories." They wouldn't trade either of them for anything, however, and they both knew it. Karen couldn't wait to go to bed as soon as possible, suddenly thankful Hen's mother was watching the kids so the two of them wouldn't be disturbed.
The two of them stood up and headed into the living room, taking their tea with them. Hen leaned against her wife's shoulder. "Maybe we should have just gone straight to bed."
Karen nodded her head in agreement, regretting the action immediately. Looked like the sinus headache was coming on fast. She downed her tea, hoping it and honey would do their jobs, grabbed Hen's hand, and the two of them slowly made their way to their bedroom. They quickly got undressed and into their pajamas, then curled up under the covers. "I'm never leaving the bed again," Karen declared.
"Right there with you. Fuck leaving the bed." Hen sniffled and then sneezed.
They'd recover in due time but for now, at least Hen and Karen were suffering together. Thankfully, they'd be over the worst soon enough.
