The Wild Area...

This was the most well-known piece of land in the Galar Region. This was because it was the final frontier of sorts, since it was nothing but uncultivated land, with no signs of human civilization at all. If that wasn't hard enough, the Wild Area was also known for the fact that the weather patterns of this land can change at the drop of a hat!

One moment it could be nice and pretty, and the next moment it could be a sandstorm! The Wild Area was well known for the fact that different areas had different weather, and that said whether changes every day!

Because of this, Pokemon that match to thrive in Wild Area could be described as wanderers, since they are a lot stronger than normal pokémon you'll find in the wild!

Now one would be crazy to go into the Wild Area and stay there for a long period of time, especially if they had no pokémon to defend them! But that's exactly what one aspiring warrior / pokémon trainer decided to do for the last four months!

Currently located in the Lake of Outrage was a blonde haired blue-eyed teenager who will look like a samurai. This was because he was wearing a black kimono on his chest, and dark blue hakama pants around his legs. Instead of the straw sandals and white socks you would expect of this outfit, this young man prefer to wear sneakers; specifically black sneakers with white soles. He also we're a pair of brown fingerless gloves on his hands, a single strap yellow backpack around his back, and on his waste appear to be some kind of velcro belt with rotating holsters... specifically holsters to contain pokeballs.

His hair was scruffy, but his deep blue eyes suggested he was a gentle soul...Even though he was practicing swinging with a giant wooden sword and shield that look like they were extremely heavy!

"1,839... 1840... 1,841...1,842... 1,843..."said the young man, counting the number of sword swings he did as he held his heavy shield at the ready.

He was about to count again, when his rotom phone suddenly went off. This indicated that someone was calling him, so he decided to put down his wooden sword and shield and head towards the rotoom phone. But first hee picked up a nearby towel, and began to wipe the sweat off of his. A couple of seconds later he was finished, and he picked up his phone to answer it.

"Hello?"inquired the young man, wanting to see who was answering him.

That is when he saw an older gentleman with gray hair and a lab coat looking at him.

"Jaune, you're still alive."said the older gentleman, who look like a professor.

"Professor Oak, it's so good to hear from you!"said the young man called Jaune, who looked happy to see the professor again after not hearing from him for a week...

"So it's been 4 months since you decided to go into the Wild Area without pokémon the train your body and soul against the various strong pokémon that call that piece of land they're home. I honestly can't tell if you are a fool or the bravest trainer I've ever seen."said the professor, being sharp tongue.

"Ouch. Still as blunt as ever, Professor Oak. But I need people like you to tell me when I'm being ridiculous, otherwise I would do something very stupid."said Jaune with a goofy smile.

"I see your vigorous training has paid off, as even though you're wearing that kimono over your chest, I can see that this thing muscle building up underneath."said Professor Oak, who sounded impressed.

"Well I have been maintaining a healthy diet of vegetables and whatever else I can find here in the Wild Area. The curry here is amazing! Man, I'm especially fond of large leak curry!"said Jaune, revealing that he was in starving to death, much to the professor's relief.

"Phew... I'm glad you're not starving to death. Then again you're not exactly a picky eater, so that's one of the reasons you can survive in that environment."said Professor Oak, knowing that in the wild you can't exactly be afford to be a picky eater.

"So how are my Pokemon doing?"inquired Jaune, wanting to know how his Pokemon were doing under the professor's care.

"They are all battle Maniacs who will battle everyone they see, regardless if they're human or pokémon. I must say, they fit you to a T."said Professor Oak, knowing that these pokémon wouldn't listen to anyone else but Jaune!

"That sounds like the Pokemon I trained and raised."said Jaune with a grin, glad that his Pokemon were doing okay.

"And just as you instructed, I've already sent them all to the Galar region. They should arrive in about an hour or so by flying taxi. I know I shouldn't say this as a Pokemon professor, but I'm glad they're gone from my ranch as they kept trying to fight everyone they could see... Truly, those Pokemon only listen to you."said Professor Oak, who was glad that those troublesome battle Maniacs called Jaune's Pokemon were off his ranch.

"Hehehehehe! Sorry, but you're kind of funny, Professor Oak."said Jaune with his ever optimistic attitude.

"I swear Jaune. If I knew telling you that story was going to turn you into this, perhaps I shouldn't have read you that bedtime story at the orphanage."said Professor Oak, wondering if he did the right thing by telling Jaune how about the ancient hero of the Land of Hisui.

"Hey, I'm happy you told me that story. It's what inspired me to pursue the path of the warrior! I knew ever since the day I heard of that ancient hero that saved all of Hisui, that I should try to become like him as well, a Great hero that helps people in need!"said Jaune with determination.

"Jaune... are you sure this is a good idea. I mean, the way of the sword has long become obsolete. Yet you endlessly pursue it, along with the path of being a pokémon trainer."said Professor Oak, wondering why one of those trainers he was in charge of pursue the path of a weapon that was obsolete for a long time.

"Well I am a firm believer that a pokémon trainer isn't a true pokémon trainer unless their body and mine are strong enough to handle training with their pokémon with nothing but their bare hands! Just like the hero of ancient Hisui did with his Pokemon."said Jaune without hesitation, making the professor sigh.

"I knew you were going to say something like that. You have always been a rambunctious kid, ever since I met you at the orphanage all those years ago."said Professor Oak, knowing that the person he trained was always like this.

"Hey, you're the one who gave me hope after I spend most of the time of the orphanage alone. Heck, I still don't know why I was left in the Viridian Forest all by myself. According to Officer Journey, there was no evidence that someone left me there... but how else did I end up in that Forest where she eventually found me and took me to the orphanage. I mean, she still tries to find my family never now and again, even though it's been years, but so far she hasn't had no luck. You are probably the closest thing I have to a father, since you're practically raised me like one."said Jaune, who considered Professor Oak the closest thing he had to a family.

Jaune couldn't even remember the faces of his birth parents, or if you had a family at all! All he can remember is that beautiful police officer picking him up and taking him to the police station, where she eventually took him to an orphanage when she found that he had no family in the immediate area...

She, now a police captain tries every now and again to find his family, but so far no luck...

"I knew you had potential that day I gave you that Pokemon egg. You and your Pokemon partner have been through a lot together, especially with your mindset of 'training.' But I have to wonder if there was ever an easier path you could take."said Professor Oak, who couldn't help worry for this idiot called Jaune.

Since you don't take care of someone and not develop strong protective feelings for that person.

"I have consider it every now and again, but my Pokemon and I are happy on this path we have taken! He feel like were destined to walk a path different from the normal Pokemon trainer. Which is why I worked so hard to collect the perfect pokémon team for myself!"said Jaune, knowing that he and his pokémon have worked hard to get to where they are.

And there was no point to give that up now!

"Jaune, changing subject I have to ask..Why do you use the weapon of a knight when you're dressed like a samurai?"Professor Oak couldn't help but inquire, as he's always been curious.

"Well I always have preferred the weapons of the knights of old. But I want to live up to my Kanto roots, so that's why I dress up like traditional people in Kanto, while using the weapons of a knight. I believe both in the code of Bushido and the code of chivalry! So in a way I'm both a samurai/knight/Pokemon trainer! I can be more than one thing, and that thought alone makes me happier."said Jaune with a determine look on his face, making the professor sigh with a smile.

"You are certainly an interesting young man, Jaune Arc. It's a mindset like this that I'm glad I gave you a chance when you were younger. I saw a fire in you that I have not seen in another pokémon Trainer for a long time. Even though if you can do some regular things sometimes like taking on the wall area with nothing but your bare hands and those wooden weapons."said Professor Oak, making Jaune laugh while scratching the back of his head.

"Well I can't carry around real metal weapons, otherwise I'll get arrested."said Jaune with a goofy grin.

"Well I'll leave you to your own devices for now. Just promise me you won't do anything as stupid as challenging a legendary Pokemon or something, since even you're not that stupid and reckless to do something like that."said Professor Oak, who knew that pokémon of a legendary class were on a whole nother level.

"Yeah, I know. I'm not a Kamikaze or something."said Jaune, wondering why the professor thought he was an idiot.

Then again he can remember several incidents where the professor would get that mindset... especially when the time he hit his head when he was about 12.

"I need to get back to trading. I hope I can meet up with my Pokemon soon. I can't wait to see how much stronger they've gotten with their own special training. Bye, Professor Oak."said Jaune, before he politefully hung up the call.

"Now to get back to training! I need to being tip top shape if I hope to do that amazing journey I've always wanted to do..."said Jaune, who went back to pick up his wooden sword and shield, before going back to his usual sword swings and strikes.

"Now where was I...oh yeah! 1844... 1,845... 1,846... 1,847... 1848...!"said Jaune, as he continues his training, not realizing that he was being watched.

Not too far away in a nearby bush, a clear pair of blue eyes was watching him from deep cover!

'He doesn't belong here... I better fix this...' thought the creature in the brush, before it disappeared into the deeper brush.

Little did Jaune or is pokémon realize, that soon they will be put on the adventure of a lifetime as they're taken from their world to another.

A world filled with darkness!

Decided to do something a little different than the normal Jaune Arc pokémon fanfiction stories.

I wanted to do something unique, and I want to see what this idea goes since it's been popping up on my head for the last several days.

Take a look and see what you think.

Jaune will have more than six pokémon, but he won't have too many as I don't want to go into all of that nonsense... I'm not sure how many pokémon I'm going to give him... but it's definitely going to be more than six!

The pokémon I've chosen so far have fit his personality or appearance one way or another. So I hope you will accept them when they come out throughout the story.

Please favorite and follow!

That is all!
