A New Life: The Wedding Fiasco (Part 2)

Based on the story A New Life by CrazyHopelessWriter. Originally posted on Archive of Our Own. Sequel to A New Life: Finding Normal (Part 1)

Summary:

Barry is getting married. Of course, things go wrong. [Crisis of Earth-X Remix]

Notes:

Yes... yet another Crisis of Earth-X story. But... Nazis are fun to destroy as bad guys. Anyway, this is Part 2 of the A New Life Universe. Read Part 1 if you want to know where the significant changes are in the Arrowverse.

RoczaDeb: While rewriting the original story from CrazyHopelessWriter, I had a seed of an idea. It grew into a full-blown plot bunny. The main drawback was… I had to write some of the Nazi POV chapters. I need to wash my brain with bleach. It is just difficult to channel the muse for those voices. Slight world building on Earth-X. Anyway, I hope this is a good follow-on story to the first one. Nazis aside, it was fun to show Oliver at his best. Definitely a BAMF Oliver.

Universe and Speech Notes:

Because of the volume of doubles, I tried to indicate the Earth dimension they consider home. POV is usually within the same paragraph as their name. This is usually from the heroes POV, but I had to channel the Nazis too.

Main characters with no Earth designation are from either Earth-1 or Earth-38. Oliver, Kara, Alex, William, Lena, etc.
Wells-19 is Harrison R 'HR' Wells of Earth-19.
Oliver-X is the Oliver from Earth-X.
Kal-X is Kal-El from Earth X.

As always, Italics indicate thoughts for POV of that character or radio/TV broadcasts. Underline indicates written word. I know, clear as mud. I just hope it is slightly less confusing than trying to write.

Chapter 1: The Past is Prologue

Author's Chapter Notes:

RoczaDeb: As hard as it is to read this chapter and the POVs presented, this draws parallels to our known hero characters. Remember, on Earth-X, these characters were raised in the Regime. Kal landed on Earth during the Regime. His powers didn't manifest until he was at the youth camps. Kara was taken in by Kal and raised to be a god from the moment she landed on Earth. Oliver and Tommy were raised in the youth camps as children. They don't know any different.

Super volcanoes: Super volcanos are a thing. They are geologic hot spots. We have six of them identified. Yellowstone, ID/MT, USA, Long Valley, CA, USA, Valles, NM, USA, Toba, Indonesia, Taupo, New Zealand, Aira, Japan. Yellowstone is overdue to erupt. The last time it did (2M years ago), most of the land animals in the world, especially in North America, went extinct. Iceland (the whole island) sits on another geologic hot spot without a super volcano. The constant eruptions compensate. The last time Toba erupted (45K years ago); Indonesia split into two islands. The science is fascinating, even as it is terrifying.

EARTH-X, REBEL FACILITY (several months prior to wedding)

Oliver-X stood on the roof and observed the exterior of the facility. The building didn't stand out. The exterior of the building did not look any different from the other warehouse buildings in the area. Without the intelligence that I extracted from that blood traitor; the Regime would not even be aware of this facility.

His uniform was black with faint red highlights. His SS armband marked him as the elite of the Regime. His face-mask covered his entire face. It was standard equipment for the Commanders of the Regime. It filtered the polluted air of the world. Removing the radiation, ash, and grit that clogged the toxic air. The red eye lenses served as a digital heads-up display. He preferred his bow. His arrows easily pierced the armor of the rebels. The rebels had learned to fear his bow.

Quiet footsteps alerted him to the presence of another on the rooftop. He slowly eased back away from the edge of the roof. He didn't want to alert the rebels to his presence yet.

"Report," Oliver-X ordered quietly. He didn't take his eyes off the building.

"Our sappers have found their underground escape tunnels," the crisp soft voice of his second in command replied in quiet tones. Commander Sam Lane led the standing Regime military on this continent. "Our forces have blocked them. Our remaining ground troops have surrounded the facility," he continued. "They have only noted the presence of a few guards. That…" he said as he nodded toward the main roll-up below them. "…appears to be the main entrance and exit. What are your orders, Fuhrer?" he asked.

"Have any of our forces noted the presence of Guardian?" Oliver-X asked as he continued to eye the entrance. It was partially open. A semi-truck blocked the door from closing entirely. Two guards stood to either side of the door and didn't look overly alert. The other guards wandered around as mobile sentries. All of them were armed. None of them had their rifles raised in preparation for an attack. An attack is not expected. Good.

"No," Commander Lane-X reported. "Uber Fuhrer or Ubergirl would check, but they are occupied with eliminating the last Cadmus facility on the coast."

"Then if Guardian is here, he will finally die for the last time1," Oliver-X replied with satisfaction. "I will enter alone. If Guardian is present, then he will respond. If he is not, then those…" he gestured toward the men below. "…will not present a challenge. Have the troops stand fast until I have defeated Guardian… or cleared the facility."

"Ya voll," Commander Lane responded. "Heil Victory!"

"Heil Victory," Oliver-X returned crisply.

Then Oliver-X turned and leapt off the roof. His bow as already firing arrows as he fell. The two guards and a scientist who had wandered outside fell before he reached the ground. He rolled to a standing and shot three more of the wandering guards. He turned and sighted in on the lone guard in the tower. The man fell out of the tower to the ground. Two more men ran out of the warehouse to die with an arrow to the heart.

As more perimeter guards converged, Oliver-X prowled forward and hit the nearest guard in the face. Before turning and beating down the last man. He scowled at the man behind his face-mask as he drew and sent an arrow into his heart while he lay on the ground.

Oliver-X stalked toward the roll-up door when he sensed a presence. He stopped and cocked his head. The footsteps are not quiet. This is a confident warrior. He smiled under his mask. Their main defender... Guardian.

"Are you the best they could send to defend this facility?" Oliver-X sneered without turning his head.

Ten meters back, a one sentry stood. His face covered in a steel mask. Pitted and scared with battle damage. He carried no gun. Two bracers covered his arms. His armor was splashed with red, white, and blue. A call back to his first life.

"I was going to ask you the same thing?" Guardian-X replied casually.

Oliver-X turned and shot an arrow at Guardian-X. Guardian-X instantly activated his tech shield. It was covered with the old American flag with the paint scraped and worn in battle. The shield deflected the arrow. Oliver-X ran at Guardian-X.

Guardian-X swung his shield and tried to catch Oliver-X in the face. His swing missed as Oliver-X ducked under the blow. Guardian-X executed a high kick at Oliver-X's head. Oliver-X dropped under the kick and rolled out of range. But he struck at Guardian-X before he was even standing. His blows were rapid. Guardian-X hardly had any time to block them. His following knee blow landed.

Oliver-X twirled. A vicious side kick that caught Guardian-X off guard in the head. It was followed by a second front kick to his stomach and chest. Guardian-X was knocked to the ground. He was able to scramble up before Oliver-X could reach him. His back to the semi-truck in the doorway. He blocked one blow before a second blow knocked his shield down. Then Oliver-X's bow was pressed into Guardian-X's throat.

Oliver-X pulled a knife from his waist and pressed forward to stab Guardian-X in the stomach. Guardian-X was able to block and hold Oliver-X's arm with the knife. But Oliver-X pushed his whole body behind the blow. The knife sliced into Gaudian-X's stomach. The shock of the injury stunned Guardian-X momentarily. Oliver-X threw Guardian-X to the ground.

Oliver-X kicked Guardian-X in the head, knocking him over onto his back. Stunned, Guardian-X's helmet went flying. He was still dazed on the ground when Oliver-X slammed his boot into Guardian-X's injured stomach. Forcing a grunt of pain out of Guardian-X.

"There are more of us," Guardian-X growled through the pain. His white face was scrunched up in agony. His red hair shining in the sparse light. "One day… we will free this world."

"More of you, Mr. Harper?" Oliver-X asked. "I think not. The Regime has dismantled your cloning facility…" Oliver-X replied as he ground his boot into the injury. "Someday the Regime will fall… But you won't be here to see it… This is your last death, Guardian… We have crushed your little rebellion… It is time you learned that your resistance has been futile… Your flag and your cause died a long time ago."

"No," Guardian-X whispered. "…They still means something…"

"Only to the dead," Oliver-X replied calmly. He slowly drew his bow and shot Guardian-X in the heart. He watched as Guardian-X's body went slack.

Oliver-X cocked his head to one side to take in the fallen rebel. Guardian-X had plagued the Regime for last seventy years. Oliver-X looked down on the history beneath his boot. Dead history. Without the miracle of cloning, Guardian-X would have died decades ago. Instead, he turned out to be the cockroach that wouldn't die.

"Commander," Oliver-X keyed his radio. "Guardian is dead… again. Send in the troops to secure the rest of the facility. It is time to see what the rebels are hiding this time."

EARTH-X, REBEL FACILITY

Hours later, Oliver-X was stalking around the large device in the center of the warehouse. This device was the sole purpose for this Rebel facility. Unfortunately, they had killed all the Rebel scientists before they could determine the purpose of the device. The Regime scientists were scampering all around the room in an attempt to determine if the device was a weapon or not.

Finally, the head scientist approached Oliver-X. "Fuhrer," the scientist hailed Oliver-X as he stood ready to report his findings.

"Report," Oliver-X growled his frustration.

"We have determined that the device is not a weapon," the scientist reported. "The only references we can find to the purpose of the device is that it is a doorway of some kind. A gateway. A portal. It appears that it transmits matter from the platform to another location. It does not tell us the name of the second location."

"Then it needs to be secured," Oliver-X replied. "A door can open both ways. Arrange transport for this… gateway to a secure facility. We will use it to crush the rebellion for the last time."

"Ya voll," the scientist replied with a firm Nazi salute. "Heil Victory!"

"Heil Victory!" Oliver-X replied with his own salute.

~AU~AU~AU~AU~AU~

EARTH-X, NAZI GATEWAY FACILITY (one month prior to wedding)

Oliver-X stalked toward the Gateway device. The lead scientist had called him. They had finally cracked the code on the device. He had been called away from a minor meeting with his detachment commanders. It was routine logistics. It could wait. He was looking forward to determining how the rebels thought that this device would assist them in their fight against the Regime. With the final death of Guardian-X, the rebel cause was failing.

"Heil Victory!" the scientist called as soon as Oliver-X was present.

"Heil Victory," Oliver-X replied with a salute of his own. Tommy-X was standing at his side and had repeated the phrase. "Where does it go?" Oliver-X demanded.

"As I had previously informed you, Fuhrer," the scientist started. "The device is a Gateway. We have finally been able to determine why a device of this size was needed. It crosses dimensions. It is a temporal gateway. It allows the user to access and return from those other dimensions."

"Return?" Oliver-X asked. "They do not require a second device?" he clarified.

"They cannot return from the location unless this Gateway has been opened from here," the scientist clarified. "They can only travel using the Gateway created by this device. But… if they coordinate with this facility, then a portal can be opened at a predicted time. The Gateway is two-way. This device opens the Gateway. Travel can be in either direction."

"How did the rebels think this device would assist them?" Oliver-X asked in exasperation. "Were they trying to escape the Regime?" he asked angrily.

"Until we discovered the purpose of this device, other dimensions were only speculated about," the scientist replied. "The primary speculation was that for every major decision in your life, there exists a dimension where you made a different choice."

"In this dimension, I turn to the right," Oliver-X replied. "In that other dimension, I turn to the left?" he asked.

"Precisely, Mein Fuhrer," the scientist replied. "This likely applies to only major life decision, but in one dimension, you marry your wife. In another dimension, you marry someone else. This makes that dimension diverge from our path. This is the Multiverse Theory. This device makes it a Multiverse Law."

"Multiverse?" Oliver-X asked. "Meaning many Universes?" he tried to clarify. His mind already spinning how they could use this to the advantage of the Regime.

"Yes, Mein Fuhrer," the scientist continued. "Our test equipment has returned readings similar to that of our Universe. Atmosphere is similar to ours with a few minor differences. There is no radiation, soot, or ash persistent in the atmosphere. Humidity is greater. Likewise, our light, air, radiation, and EMP readings indicate a culture similar to our own… merely without the atomic radiation present."

"Does this mean that this Universe is not plagued by a toxic atmosphere?" Kara-X demanded imperiously as she hovered nearby. Oliver-X smirked under his mask at the way the scientist jumped at the sound of her voice. She was in full Ubergirl regalia with a mask to assist her breathing, like all top military commanders wore. The lower grade troops were given bulkier masks to wear. They frequently went without them inside facilities. She was hovering to the side of the scientist.

"Yes, Ubergirl," the scientist said nervously.

"How is this Universe different from our own?" Oliver-X queried. "You said that the differences revolved around major life decisions."

"We do not know at this time," the scientist replied. "However, we have been able to transmit live animals to the location. Our devices registered them as still alive after they arrived."

"Good," Oliver-X replied as he gave this new development some thought. "Prometheus, you will select a dozen of your best infiltrators and travel to this Universe. You know what to look for. Find out the history of this place. Where it diverged from our history. Determine their strengths and weaknesses. If it has a clean atmosphere, then we will take it for the Fatherland. It will be easier to grow food."

"Of course, Mein Fuhrer. Heil Victory," Tommy-X replied with a sharp salute.

"Heil Victory," Oliver-X replied with a returning salute. Tommy-X then hurried off to complete his orders.

EARTH-X, NAZI AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS

Oliver-X observed the Uber Fuhrer, Kal-El-X, as he paced the back of the room. Oliver-X was uneasy and restless as the medical doctors examined Ubergirl. Kara-X Zor-El. His wife.

Oliver-X had become privy to the history of the El family when he married into it. Kal-X and Kara-X were paternal cousins. The only children of two brothers. Jor-El and Zor-El. The brothers had determined that their home was going to die. They risked everything to send their only children away from their dying planet. To give them a life where they would be gods. They were the only blood family they had left. Oliver-X felt blessed to have been allowed to marry Kara-X.

Kal-X's small spacecraft had arrived on Earth long after the Regime had taken over the world. The Regime had forced their detractors to retreat into the rebellion. They had cowed the populace with their nuclear detonations. But it was the eruption of the super volcano at Yellowstone that had signaled the end of resistance to the Regime. Few of the rebels persisted in their outdated ideals after the eruption.

After the eruption, the population of the world had dropped precipitously. The World War had ravaged those populations of healthy young men. The eruption had killed off the old and weak. The Americas were covered in ash. But the Regime had rallied the populace. They had rationed. They had endured. They had emerged stronger. There was no room left for the weak in the population. The Juden were kept alive to farm the fields for the populace. Only the useful were kept alive.

That was when Kal-X's craft arrived on Earth. He had been raised with the Nazi Youth. It was in his teen years that his powers developed. Once he could fly, he could breach the toxic atmosphere to absorb pure sunlight. He became a god. The right hand of the Uber Fuhrer, Adolph Hitler. Upon Hitler's death, Kal-X was named Uber Fuhrer.

That was when Kara-X Zor-El's spacecraft arrived. Thirty years after the arrival of Kal-X. She was instantly recognized as kin to Kal-X. He safeguarded her. He took her above the atmosphere. Her cells charged much faster than Kal-X's had. She became a symbol of Aryan Perfection. Blonde hair. Blue eyes. She was raised knowing of her duties and responsibilities.

Even the arrival of Fort Rozz, didn't change the Regime. Most of the inmates died painfully at the hands of the Uber Fuhrer. The few Kryptonians were instructed to follow the Regime or die. Most died. The few followers of the two main generals that survived were relegated to distant parts of the world to rule in the name of the Regime. It was only after they had proved their loyalty to Kal-X that he took them above the atmosphere. Kara-X was his trusted family. The rest were pardoned criminals.

In her spacecraft, Kal-X found the data crystals. The history of their lost world. For the first time, he saw images of his father and uncle. Their speculation about the effects of yellow solar radiation on the Kryptonian body. Speculation that proved true.

However, as Kara had just found out, too much yellow solar radiation was bad for a Kryptonian. That was why Kara-X was being examined by the doctors now. Kara-X and Kal-X had gone up to recharge with yellow solar radiation. Kara-X wanted to be even more powerful to take on the new Universe. She flew just outside the corona sphere of the sun. She lost consciousness halfway back to Earth. Kal-X brought her home immediately.

"What happened?" Kara-X asked as she slowly regained consciousness.

"Kara," Kal-X boomed and rushed across the room to take her hand. "Thank Goodness! You woke up."

"Kal," Kara-X said with a reassuring hand. "Why are you here? Did something happen in the Fatherland?" she asked.

"No," Kal-X reassured her. "You wanted to become more powerful… for when we invade that other Universe."

Kara-X frowned. "I did," she slowly replied. "I flew into the corona sphere. I feel… I feel powerful. Why did I black out?" she asked in confusion.

"I can answer that," the doctor replied. "Your cells are showing an oversaturation of yellow solar light."

"Too much?" Kal-X asked in confusion.

"Precisely," the doctor replied.

"This is like a sunburn then," Oliver-X replied. Kara-X had taken him above the clouds once. His skin was not used to the sunlight. His skin burned from it. "You are injured now, but you will recover."

"Not exactly," the doctor said with a wince. "The oversaturation appears to be self-sustaining."

"It won't go away," Kal-X replied as his mood grew darker.

"No, Uber Fuhrer," the doctor replied nervously. "It may not get worse than it is now… but…"

"But…" Oliver-X continued he presented the doctor a threatening stance. Standing next to any angry Uber Fuhrer, the doctor was terrified.

"There is a possibility that the condition will worsen," the doctor replied cautiously.

"Worsen, how?" Kal-X asked in clipped tones. Kara-X placed her hand on his arm.

"It is possible, that Ubergirl will eventually implode… like a star going nova," the doctor rushed out.

"What?" Oliver-X exclaimed in horror. "She's going to die?" he demanded fearfully.

"It is only a possibility," the doctor rushed.

"What is the probability of this… possibility occurring?" Kara-X commanded.

The doctor visibly winced again. "Sixty-Forty," he replied.

"Can you mitigate this probability?" Oliver-X demanded.

"Possibly," the doctor replied. "But it would require a transplant of uncontaminated flesh. Likely a heart… to ensure that uncontaminated blood is sent to the extremities. With that transplant, the probability is mitigated to less than 10 percent."

"How soon will you know if this possibility is a certainty?" Kal-X ordered.

"Within a week," the doctor quickly replied. "If the measurements increase, we will know the pace at which they advance. This will give us a timeframe. If they do not, then Ubergirl will recover on her own."

"Very well," Kal-X replied crisply. "Dismissed."

The doctor bowed his head and then scurried out of the room. Oliver-X began pacing the room while Kal-X sat beside Kara-X.

"I will be fine, Kal," Kara-X told him.

"You don't know that," Kal-X replied angrily.

"No, I don't," Kara-X replied honestly. "But we have another Universe to conquer. I want to see the expansion of the Fatherland before I die."

"I don't want you to die," Kal-X replied.

"Nor do I," Oliver-X added. "You should rule over this new Universe… just like Kal rules over this one."

"Then we shall see what Prometheus discovers," Kara-X replied crisply. "Perhaps this new Universe has a Kara Zor-El as well… We will take down this Kara and take her flesh. Then we will rule over her world with an iron fist."

"You will," Kal-X replied. "Oliver will make sure of it." Kal-X turned to Oliver-X. "Begin preparations for the invasion. The time table has been moved up."

"Ya voll, Mein Uber Fuhrer," Oliver-X replied.

~AU~AU~AU~AU~AU~

EARTH-X, NAZI AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS

Kara-X presided at the head of the table. Oliver-X was to her right. Tommy-X sat at the opposite end of the table from Kara-X.

"You have returned," Kara-X declared with authority. "What did you find out about this new Universe?" she demanded.

"Ubergirl, Fuhrer," Tommy-X started. "This new universe is… polluted. But I believe that it can be purged."

"Polluted how?" Oliver-X demanded. "The scientists said that the atmosphere was clear."

"From what we have been able to glean, Uber Fuhrer Hitler died in Germany before the end of the World War," Tommy-X started. "The Fatherland had not developed nuclear weapons. It did not grow. The Americans were the first to use nuclear weapons on Japan after Germany had been defeated."

"The volcano?" Oliver-X asked with anger in his voice.

"Yellowstone has not yet erupted in this Universe," Tommy-X said. "The atmosphere is clear and bright. It is frequently clear of clouds… I found that unsettling."

"Then the pollution is the people," Kara-X said with a frown. "How much work will it take to purge the populace?" she asked. "Surely they can't be that great in number."

"It will take quite a bit of work," Tommy-X replied. "Their universe is… over crowded. Their world population numbers in the billions. Most are undesirable in Asia or Africa. I would recommend sending the undesirables to this Universe. The atmosphere there wouldn't be dirtied by the furnaces."

"Then the divergence is the World War," Kara-X replied thoughtfully. "Their attitudes likely match those of our rebels."

"Which is likely why the rebels were in contact with this Universe," Oliver-X added. "The rebels could recruit from there… which makes it more important to seize that Universe. To stop the leak of rebel support. What else?" he asked.

"We could find no records of Uber Fuhrer, Uberman, or Ubergirl," Tommy-X said. "This Universe does have meta-humans. But they vary from our rebels and our reeducated meta-humans. Only a few are heroes. But others are rogues. They do not assist their government."

"No mention of Kara Zor-El? None?" Oliver-X asked with horror. If we cannot find a donor, Kara-X will die. I won't accept that.

"No," Tommy-X replied sadly. "We are continuing to scan through the records of this Universe. It seems that they value story tellers. A daily print is made that tells the citizens of the events that occurred the previous day."

"Propaganda," Oliver-X snorted.

"Most likely," Tommy-X agreed. "We have been investigating these reports. Apparently, Mein Fuhrer, you exist in this Universe, or you did…"

"I do?" Oliver-X asked. "But Ubergirl does not."

"You do, but she does not," Tommy-X replied. "An event was widely reported some time ago. The mayor of an urban site called Star City was abducted with his family and friends. Most were executed by one of the undesirables. A mental patient. Your double disappeared after that event. No one knows where he is, but his death was not reported."

"Some things are the same," Kara-X replied. "You are a leader in this other world."

"No matter," Oliver-X replied with a dismissive wave. "This weak leader is of no consequence. We will eliminate him when we purge the population. Continue your investigations. I will ensure that we have adequate troops prepared for the invasion."

"Ya voll, Mein Fuhrer," Tommy-X replied. He stood up and with a polite nod, left the conference room.

"We have no donor," Oliver-X told her softly.

"It is of no consequence," Kara-X replied firmly. "I will be with you for this invasion. I desire to see the expansion of the Fatherland."

"Then expand the Fatherland we shall, my wife," Oliver-X replied. He took up her hand and kissed it. She gave him a gently return smile.

EARTH-X, NAZI AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS

Oliver-X stormed into the Gateway facility. Kara-X was hovering behind him. Tommy-X had apprehended a metahuman from this other Universe. It had attempted to investigate their operations in the other universe. The creature was being held for interview at the Gateway Facility. He returned the obligatory greetings of the Regime before examining the creature more closely.

It was male. Brown hair. Brown eyes. It didn't appear overly tall. It had a square face and a medium build body. A slave collar was around its neck providing a meta dampening effect. At least it was white. Far from Aryan perfection, but at least it wasn't impure in other ways. What is it wearing? It had a yellow leather suit with a single red S on its chest. Like an incomplete SS.

"Prometheus," Oliver-X greeted from behind his mask.

"Mein Fuhrer," Tommy-X greeted in return from behind his mask.

"Is this the creature that attempted to infiltrate your staging area?" Oliver-X asked dispassionately.

"It is," Tommy-X replied.

"I can help you," Thawne suddenly said. "I know the heroes there. I hate them."

Oliver-X looked with distain at the creature. "A rogue. Good. You have information that we desire. You will articulate that information to the Regime."

Thawne grimaced as he tried to sit up. Prometheus kicked him hard in the ribs. "You have not been given permission to rise, vermin," he said with revulsion.

"I have other information," Thawne claimed. "Future knowledge."

"Explain," Oliver-X ordered.

"I'm from the future," Thawne told him from his position on the ground. "I can advance your scientific knowledge. I can tell you how events play out."

"We have little use for your future knowledge in your universe. The Regime will change that future. Your origins are gone," Prometheus spat at him. Then he kicked him a second time.

Oliver-X looked at Thawne with consideration. "Ubergirl, do you think it is worth the effort to reeducate this creature?" he asked his wife.

"It will make his information more reliable," Kara-X replied considering the question. "Then perhaps the Regime can use his meta-abilities… Prometheus, do you know what its meta-abilities are?" she asked Tommy-X.

"Yes," Tommy-X replied. "It has the ability to move as fast as you, Ubergirl. It has refined this ability to allow it to pass through solid matter. It seemed unaware of our ability to dampen its meta-ability until it was captured."

"Interesting," Kara-X replied. "If it can do that, then it exceeds my top speed. It may be useful in the invasion."

"You heard, Ubergirl," Oliver-X replied. "Take it to the reeducation center."

"Ya voll, Mein Fuhrer," Tommy-X replied as knocked Thawne unconscious. "It heals quickly. I will have a meta-implant installed."

"Good thinking, Prometheus," Kara-X replied. "I want one that only I can control in this other Universe." She turned and left the Gateway Facility with Oliver-X following. Prometheus bowed as she left.

~AU~AU~AU~AU~AU~

EARTH-X, NAZI AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS

Oliver-X closely followed the reeducation of the metahuman from the other Universe. None of the drugs seemed to affect it. It metabolized them too quickly to make them effective. However, it seemed that sensory deprivation worked well on it. Especially when it was contained in a tank with meta-dampeners.

Oliver-X decided to use additional deception on the reeducated metahuman. While it wore a meta-dampening collar, it was not aware of the internal control device. The device that had been implanted at the base of its neck. It was activated using subvocal voice commands. Voice commands that could activate the dampener or the explosive device. Voice commands that could only be given by a Kryptonian.

Oliver-X refused to allow this metahuman to jeopardize his invasion of this other Earth. It was a rogue. It would attempt to rebel. He would not allow it. It would serve the Regime or die. It had no other choices.

Tommy-X returned to the other Universe to continue his surveillance. The interrogators in this Universe didn't require his assistance. Within a week, the metahuman had been reeducated. It was taken to a different facility and questioned.

This other universe did have an excessive number of metahumans. Apparently, this particular metahuman decided to activate thousands of them in an area called Central City. It was located close the Gateway's termination point.

Its goal had been to activate a single metahuman. Another metahuman with speed abilities. The one that led to its own activation. In its ignorance, it tried to prevent the activation of its enemy. Only to destroy its own ability. The temporal effect. The Regime had learned about his effect when it had acquired the Draugr2. A Timeship. The Regime now only used the Draugr to ferry troops around the uninhabitable areas of the planet. It refused to undo all the hard work of the Regime.

However, this new Earth did not have aliens of any kind. There was no Uber Fuhrer or Ubergirl. Fort Rozz had never landed on this planet. They would be unchallenged on that Earth. The Regime would only have to deal with the metahumans. It was a threat that the Regime was familiar with and already had countermeasures in place.

Thawne identified that the other Earth had access to even more worlds in the multiverse. Less than one year ago, an alien race threatened that Earth. They sought the assistance of a Kryptonian girl from another Universe. This Kryptonian girl met the description of Ubergirl.

Oliver-X accelerated his invasion plan. If he could conquer this world and gain access to the world where this Kryptonian lived, then he could save his wife. Uber Fuhrer was in agreement. They would conquer this world quickly to save Ubergirl. Their plans were accelerated.

Their accelerated plans forced them to gather more intelligence on the various heroes on this new Earth. The Flash was the primary hero that operated in Central City. His main purpose was to contain the rogue metahumans in that city. It surrounded itself with several other metahuman heroes. Thawne had the most information about this one meta.

Flash was also the primary hero to have access to other universes. The Flash was the one to discover the Kryptonian girl. It was noted that the Kryptonian girl was alone. It is likely that she did not have a Kryptonian cousin that could match Uber Fuhrer. If she had, he would have shown up during the alien invasion.

The invasion plan was now centered on Central City. It would be the first city they took for the Regime. Once they had taken Central City, they would call for Uber Fuhrer to come and subdue the rest of the world. With Ubergirl healed and Uber Fuhrer on their side, the Regime could not fail.

~AU~AU~AU~AU~AU~

EARTH-X, NAZI AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS

"Mein Fuhrer," Tommy-X greeted as he rushed into Oliver-X's office at Regime Headquarters. "This news cannot wait," he hurried.

"Very well," Oliver-X replied as he set his pen down to listen.

They were rapidly approaching the start of their invasion. The ground troops were being drilled in various invasion maneuvers. Food production was being diverted into the fabrication of rations. The invasion force would be ready to move within a few days. The Draugr, the Regime's Timeship, was being prepared to ferry ground troops to the new Earth. Tommy-X was preparing the fortifications at their Staging Area in the outskirts of Central City.

"Our observations of the Primary Target have borne fruit," Tommy-X replied in excitement. "The Flash is preparing to wed. He has called all of his allies from other Earths to come to the ceremony. All of our targets will be present and unarmed in one place."

Oliver-X smiled. "Do you think they will bring this Kryptonian girl to this Earth?" he asked.

"I have no doubt," Tommy-X replied. "A large force should be able to take all of the heroes while they are vulnerable. Even the metahumans will not be able to compensate or evade our shock troops."

"When is the ceremony? Where will it occur?" Oliver-X replied as he started to formulate an attack plan.

"In one week," Tommy-X replied. "In Central City. We only need to bring in our Shock Troops and supplies."

"Start moving supplies across," Oliver-X said as he stood. "I will inform the Uber Fuhrer of the acceleration in our plan and the reason. Take Thawne with you. Have him locate everything we require for the transplant. He will coordinate with the surgeon."

"Ya voll, Mein Fuhrer," Tommy-X replied with a happy smile. He saluted and rushed out to begin the final stages of preparation for the invasion.

1Guardian: Comic canon has the Guardian as Jim Harper. A police officer who operated in the Golden Age of comics. He was active prior to WWII. In one of the many reboots of the DCU, Roy Harper is a clone of the original Jim Harper. Cadmus in comic canon created Guardian clones to protect their facilities.

2Draugr: The Draugr is the name I gave the Timeship for Crisis of Earth-X. The Arrowverse named the ship the Wellenreiter (Waverider). I went with a name that would be more likely given the history of Earth-X. A Draugr is a revenant in Norse mythology. A corporeal ghost. With the ability of the ship's AI to appear, it is probable that this would be a name used.
