Chapter 2

Percy

We went in the house and looked around warily. It was a bit worn out and dusty, otherwise it was cool. I was relieved to feel that the 'supernatural' feeling was not in the house. The house had a light blue wallpaper which I fell in love immediately. On the first floor, it had the living room, kitchen, dining room and a bathroom. Up the staircase, there were 5 bedrooms, all paired with their own bathrooms. There was a staircase leading down to the basement as well, and outside, there was a garage.

"If there isn't the feeling of monsters in this town, I would say this is the perfect place to move to." I sighed, rubbing my forehead tiredly.

"Are you sure you won't tell them? For their safety?" Nico inquired.

I shook my head, "Nah, I can't drag them into this and put them in danger."

"Fine." He relented.

Thalia crossed her arms and said, "Well then, we should just see how this turn out."

"And we need to apply for school tomorrow." Annabeth added.

We all, with the exception of Annabeth groaned. "Come on! We already need to worry about this unknown monster!" I complained.

"I don't care, we have to go to school. For education." She insisted. Knowing not to fight a losing battle, I gave up and pouted.

Slam! We all jumped and rushed to the front door, tensed. "Guys! Help out a bit, won't you!" I heard Paul called out from outside. We all relaxed after hearing his voice, "Sure! Wait a moment!" I called back.

We went outside and saw that the truck with our furnitures had arrived. "Right on time." Paul said, rubbing his hand, "All right, let's move it!"

I shivered slightly, and rubbed my arm. The feeling of monster in the air was really uncomfortable, the the ghost feeling with the magic feeling did not help either. I sighed, it made my ADHD went hyperactive. I couldn't stop fidgeting. I locked eyes with Annabeth and had a silent conversation. (P=Percy, A=Annabeth)

P: This is really getting on my nerves.

A: I know it's not comfortable. I feel it too.

P: What monster do you think it is?

A: I have no idea, but I don't think it's our monsters. Nor the Norse or Egyptian ones. I mean, when there's a monster in an area, the monster feeling is stronger.

P: I hope there won't be Chinese ones, or Indian ones.

A: Haha very funny, but we can worry about that later. Let's just help Paul first.

"I really hate it when you two do that." Nico grumbled.

"Don't tell me you don't do that with Will?" Annabeth teased.

Nico flushed red and spluttered, "Shut up! And for your information, we can't do it yet."

"The main word is yet."

With the help from 4 powerful demigods, we managed to move all the furnitures into our new house within an hour. Me and Annabeth had a bedroom, Nico had one for himself, Thalia had one and, mum and Paul had one with the crib for Estelle so they had the biggest bedroom.

"Omph!" I plopped down on the queen-sized bed in my bedroom, "I'm exhausted."

"Physically or emotionally?" Annabeth asked drily.

"Both. Emotionally drained from the flight," I glared up at the ceiling, "And physically drained from moving the furnitures and travelling."

She sighed, "Come on, sleep after dinner. Sally is making it now. We have a long day tomorrow."

I perked up almost immediately, "When is dinner?"

I heard she muttered, "Boys and food." Before she answered, "I think in about 30 minutes?"

I looked down and saw my dust covered T-shirt. "I'll go take a shower and get changed. I'm a bit um dusty." I rubbed my head sheepishly, remembering that I just sat on the bed. Oh shit.

Annabeth's stormy gray eyes flashed dangerously. "Are you seriously telling me that you sat on the bed with your dirty clothes?" She demanded.

"Uhhh." Was my intelligent reply. She sighed, "Seaweed Brain."

"But you love me." I smiled cheekily at her.

She rolled her eyes and pushed me toward the bathroom, "Just go take a shower, I'll wait for you downstairs."

"Why don't you take it with me?" I suggested innocently.

She blushed in red, thinking about the scene, "Shut up! And no!" And slammed the bathroom door shut, with me inside.

I leaned against the sink and sighed. Why can't I just have a break? The Fates really hate me. At least, maybe I can try not to be expelled from this school? Yeah right, as if after 6 schools, this would be different. A voice inside my head said. Shut up. I told it.

"So Paul, what subject are you going to teach here?" Annabeth asked during dinner.

Paul thought for a moment, "I'm going to teach grade 9 and 10 English and 11 to 12 History. Do you think I'm a good teacher?" He wondered aloud.

"Oh, don't fret." Mum smiled warmly at him, "I'm sure you'll be a great teacher!"

"Ditto." Thalia said, "Don't worry, and if anyone disrespect you, we'll beat them up. Won't we, boys?" She glared at us.

"You're gonna get them expelled, again!" Annabeth scolded, "Can't you guys just stop brewing troubles? We already enough on our plate."

"Paul, no matter what others say, you are a great teacher—" Nico started.

"And a great stepfather!" I added, "Well, better than the last one anyway." I muttered the last part darkly. Thankfully, no one heard it. I suddenly yawned, and all of us started to yawn as well. The adrenaline from the day had dissipated.

"Well, it's time for bed." Sally looked at us sternly, "No all-nighters. We have a lot of things to do tomorrow."

"Yes, ma'am." Me and Nico saluted her and ran up the stairs.

"Boys." Thalia said, shaking her head.

"You girls need to sleep too." Sally said, "But before that, I've got something to tell you."

Annabeth and Thalia looked at her worriedly, "What is it, Sally?"

She shook her head, "Never mind, I think it's better if the boys are here to hear it. Goodnight, Annabeth, Thalia."

"G'night" They chorused, yawning widely again.
