A\N: This is Will's fourth proposal and I'm just letting my fingers do the work, not my brain because it hurts to think. I hope you Angels enjoy this latest proposal.

He's only known one thing and he's known it ever since they locked eyes at Georgetown 18 years ago: he wants to be with her forever.
He grabs her hand underneath the table and traces his thumb over her knuckles. They've been dating for the past year and a half, a week after she filed for divorce from Peter, after a new story broke involving him and the hooker he had sex with 18 times. Alicia squeezes back and gives him a smile.
"I love you." He mouths at her, her smile grows. "I love you too." She replies back. He'll never tire of hearing those words come from her lips, verbally or otherwise.
They're in the middle of a partner meeting but they've tuned the chatter out and it's only them in the room.
"So does anyone have anything they would like to add?" David Lee asks. His question is met with silence and the meeting ends. Alicia stands up, bringing him with her, their hands still joined together. He sneaks a kiss to her lips in full view of the partners who aren't bothered by it anymore.
"Okay, okay, love sick puppies, stop sucking each others faces, we've got work to do." David says, he's always found interrupting them amusing ever since it was revealed that Will and Alicia were finally together.
Alicia pulls away from Will with a pout. "I love you." She says before turning away from him.
"Love you too, Leesh." He replies as he shares a look with her as she leaves the conference room with David who is laughing heartily as Alicia 'scolds' him. There's not many people who can make David Lee laugh but Alicia Cavanaugh is one of them.
"So have you asked her yet?" His partner asks from behind, he startles and turns around to face the blonde woman who is the third most important woman in his life, after Alicia and Grace.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Diane." He answers: he knows full well what she's talking about, it's just fun to tease her.
"Don't lie to me, William Gardner, now when are you going to propose to the girl?" Will sighs as he sits back down in his seat.
"Honestly, I didn't think there was a chance in hell we'd get together again before that night." He says with a shiver. Diane knows what he's talking about: the night Alicia found out that Peter had a secret baby with Amber Madison, the hooker her cheated on Alicia with. They all remember the aftermath of that story, seeing as they were all together when it broke.
They're all frozen in shock, staring at the TV, Alicia is wrapped in his arms, Grace beside him and Zach beside her, Diane, Cary, David, Kalinda, Julius, Eli, Owen and Veronica surrounding them. Suddenly Alicia leaps up and goes into the attached bathroom and throws up, sobs tearing out of her, Will follows her as Grace throws herself at her brother, both teens crying into each other.
"This isn't real is it?" Cary asks, suddenly very angry at his best friend's husband, he can't believe this is happening all over again, but 100 times worse than before. "There's no way he'd do this to his wife and his kids, right?" He questions, looking around, hoping he's right, but knowing he's not. Veronica scoffs. "I wouldn't put anything past him nowadays, Cary." The woman comments while walking over to her crying grandchildren and wrapping them in her arms, Owen joining her.
"I'll check on Alicia and Will." Diane says softly, walking into the bathroom, silently telling Cary, Kalinda, Eli, David and Julius to keep an eye on the two teenagers.
Diane enters Will's bathroom where she sees Alicia throwing up her dinner, tears pouring down her face, while Will holds her hair back in one hand and rubs her back with the other, softly telling her to let it all out.
Her and Will's eyes meet: they've always had a way of knowing when the other is nearby. Alicia stops throwing up and leans against Will's chest, closing her eyes, sobs still wracking her body.
"I... it can't be true, it just can't be." Alicia sobs as Will lifts her into his arms and carries her back into his office, setting her down on the couch where her children attack her in hugs and tears. Will kisses both Alicia and Grace on the top of their heads and pats Zach on his shoulder. He stands up from the couch along with Veronica and Owen and walks towards the others, a dangerous glint in his eye. "Eli, I want you to make sure this is fucking real not some journalist wanting their 15 minutes of fame. K, find out everything you can about Amber Madison and her baby, make sure it is Peter's, because if it's not, I'm killing the both of them." Will orders them, Eli and Kalinda both nod and leave the office without a word, only a look of sadness at Alicia and her two crying children.
After K and Eli have left the office, Diane, Will, David, Julius, Veronica and Owen all look over to the sofa where the three of them have curled up and are staring at nothing, still crying silently.
"We need to do something." David whispers to the five of them, they all nod.
"Unfortunately there's not a lot we can do for them." Will says regrettably. He hates that Peter Florrick has once again his family and that their new family can't do anything to help weather this latest shit storm that is sweeping them up.
After the shock wore off and Eli and Kalinda confirmed that Peter did in fact have another child, it took Will, Cary, Julius, David, Eli, Owen and Kalinda to restrain Zach so he didn't leave Will's office and punch his father, or kill him. Grace just sobbed into her mothers side. Alicia filed for divorce within an hour of the confirmation and shut down, refusing to talk to anyone: not Will, not Diane, not her mother, not Owen, no one, for a week. Will can remember the week after the news broke, when he heard the love of his life's voice.
It's safe to say that everyone is worried about Alicia: it's been a week since Peter's secret baby was revealed and she's not said a word to anyone, not after she denied it couldn't be true after she threw up.
Will and Cary sit on either side of her in the partner's meeting when she turns to look at him. "I love you, Will Gardner." She says suddenly before kissing him, he returns her kiss, standing up, bringing her up with him, she winds her arms around his neck, pushing him against the glass wall. The kiss deepens as she hooks a leg around his hip, he guides her other leg around his waist, she jumps up, and he holds her in his arms.
The world around them has faded and it's just them, kissing.
Until the cheers, claps and wolf whistles pull them back into reality. Will smiles as he brushes a lock of her hair behind her ear and leans against hers, staring into her eyes, giving her one more peck on the lips before he carries her back to the table, sitting down with her on his lap.
"I love you too, Alicia Cavanaugh." He replies, kissing her hair, ignoring the cheers, claps and whistles coming from his partners.
He'll never tire of being in the conference room with Alicia Cavanaugh. Then he grins at Diane when he gets an idea in his head before texting Cary, Julius, David and Kalinda.
Cary Agos, David Lee, Julius Cain, David Lee, K: I need your help in doing something for Alicia in the conference room at the next partners meeting, meet me after she's left tonight in my office.
He turns back to Diane, slipping his phone in his suit pocket. "I know when I'm going to ask her. Meet me in my office tonight after Leesh has left, she's having a movie night with Grace, no boys allowed. I'll explain it all then." He says, leaving with a smile on his face.
He enters his office with a wide smile, walking over to his bookshelf and picking up a law book, opening it.
Inside a hole cut into the book, lies a diamond ring, a ring he's had for 17 years. He purchased this a year after he met Alicia at Georgetown. He had planned to give it to her at graduation but he didn't get the chance to, so he had put in this very law book where it's stayed for the last 17 years. He occasionally takes it out to look at and picture what it would look like on her finger.
He's so absorbed in looking at the ring and picturing the rest of his life with Alicia as his wife that he doesn't hear his office door open or the sound of her heels padding into the room.
He just hears the soft gasp from behind him. He looks up, his eyes wide.
He's staring into the teary eyes of Alicia Cavanaugh.
Shit!
"W... Will?" Alicia asks, her voice full of tears. He stands up, the ring still in his hand.
"Alicia, I was going to do it at the next partners meeting." He says, Alicia smiles. "Ask me now." She says quietly. He looks into her eyes for any sign of fear or hesitation and only sees love shining in them. He takes a deep breath before kneeling in front of her, the ring clasped between his fingers.
"Alicia Cavanaugh, I've wanted to give you this for the last 17 years, I've spent the last 18 years dreaming of a world where you're my wife, and now I finally have a chance to make that dream a reality, so, Alicia Cavanaugh, will you be my wife? Will you marry me?" He asks, Alicia laughs through her tears and nods her head.
"Yes, a thousand times yes, Will." She chokes out as he places the ring on her finger, straightening up. Her lips capture his in a long and deep kiss.
They pull away from each other, foreheads leaning together as the sounds of clapping and cheers fill the office they're standing in.
Diane, Cary, David, Julius and Kalinda are all squashed in Will's office doorway, smiling.
"Congratulations." Cary says, entering the office to hug his best friend and swinging her around, their laughter filling the room. The older partners watch the younger two of them with smiles of them. After Cary has set Alicia on her feet, the rest of the hugs and congratulations, and threats to kill, sue and/or bury Will if he should hurt her, begin.
Flutes of champagne are passed around and Diane rises her glass, prompting everyone else to follow.
"To Will and Alicia. Will, you've finally got the girl, Alicia, you're happier than any of us have ever seen you, congratulations." The blonde partner says with a smile, Will wraps an arm around Alicia's waist as she leans into his side.
After 18 years of dreaming of a life with Alicia Cavanaugh, Will Gardner is one step closer in making the dream a reality.

A\N: I've finished The Good Fight and wished Will made an appearance to Diane in the season finale like he did to Alicia in End, in The Good Wife. I loved, loved, loved Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, she did an amazing playing her for 13 years.
Just because I've finished The Good Wife and The Good Wife, doesn't mean I'll stop writing stories about it or that I'll never watch them again. I hope you enjoy this latest proposal Angels, I have one more before Alicia's proposal. Stay tuned, my Angels.
