A night guard was hired for work today. His name is Mike Schmidt.

23 hours 30 minutes

Fritz was about to go home. Besides him, William, Scott and Henry were also in the pizzeria. What are they doing here? This is what the children tried to find out by eavesdropping on their conversation. But then another man entered the building. Who is it? The guys didn't recognize him. It was the first time they had seen him.

- And here's our newbie! - Scott smiled.

- Hi, I'm Mike. Mike Schmidt. - Mike introduced himself.

Michael Schmidt is a realist in life and rather uncommunicative. He is 27 years old. He has fair skin, black hair and brown eyes. He also has an orange soul of Bravery.

Mike was born on August 11, 1990. He doesn't have many friends. More precisely, he doesn't have any at all. He is an introvert and has never liked to communicate with other people. And at school he was an outcast of the class. Therefore, sometimes it may seem that a man is talking strangely. Of course, he has little experience of polite communication. And so he can send you far away.

How did Mike come across this job? Everything is simple. The guy quit his last job, allegedly they paid little there, and when he saw an ad for a night guard at a closed pizzeria, he immediately jumped in. Well, why not? Sit, drink coffee, watch out for robots that don't do anything anyway, and get free money! And so the man did not particularly like animatronics. They seemed to him... Scary. How did the children love such robots?

Among other things, Mike also has his own interests. For example, he does boxing. He also loves video games. And he also loves food, money, relaxation and black colour. Mike has the opposite feelings about bright colors, too much optimism and small rented apartments. But maybe his opinion will change.

- Welcome, Mike! I'm Scott Cawthon, this is Henry Emily and William Afton! Come with me, I'll explain everything to you and show you! - Scott smiled and led the guard into his office.

- Is that the night guard? - Brian asked.

- I told you that he would be found quickly. - Elizabeth said.

- Nobody didn't ask you. - Brian turned away.

- Guys, let's not quarrel, but figure out what we should do with him. - Naomi interrupted them.

- Well, I guess we'll scare him! Yes, exactly! - red-haired girl immediately responded.

- And why scare him? - Gabriel asked.

- So that he is afraid of us and does not dare to approach us! In case he wants to take us apart or break us down.

- That's right. - Charlie agreed.

- Okay, then we'll go to our pizzeria, we won't bother you. Good luck! - Jeremy replied and disappeared along with Chris, Spencer, Helen and others. Only Gabriel, Naomi, Olivia, Brian, Cassidy, Charlie and Elizabeth are left.

23 hours 55 minutes

Mike has already been shown everything at the pizzeria and explained what he should do. The man has already decided that he will sleep instead of work.

- Hi, I'm Fritz Smith! - Fritz introduced himself, who was about to leave. - Good luck to you! Oh, by the way... I would advise you to conserve energy and not spend a lot of time on cameras.

- What are you talking about? - Mike asked.

- At night, these huge things come to life and seek revenge. They will try to kill you every night! - Smith tried to scare him.

- You're the day guard yourself. And how will they come to life if they are turned off? These are all children's horror stories, I don't believe in them.

- As you wish. See you tomorrow! If, of course, you survive... - red-haired man smiled maliciously and left.

- Weird. - Mike said aloud.

Meanwhile, William was looking at the robots. K'hadesh was still thinking about those children. Are they trapped in animatronics? This can also happen. But these were just guesses. The man hurriedly started to leave the pizzeria.

- Well, good luck with your new job! - Scott said, and left with William and Henry.

Mike was left alone. Almost alone.

- The show begins, dear viewers... Please take your seats and we'll start... - Elizabeth grinned maliciously.

00 hours 00 minutes

It was getting close to night. Mike was sitting in an armchair and was not very interested in his new job, as he had already started to get comfortable, getting ready for bed. Suddenly the office phone rang. Mike didn't really like it because he was about to watch a dream. But he answered anyway. There was a recording that Scott made on purpose.

- "Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?" - Cawthon's voice was heard.

- Okay, you won't let me sleep anyway. - Mike was angry.

- It's our dad's voice. - Gabriel and Cassidy were standing outside the window. Nostalgia flooded the children.

- We will definitely come back, you'll see... - Cassidy encouraged. The elder smiled, and brothers hugged.

- "Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced." Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay."

- Pfft, they're just ordinary pieces of iron. - Mike said.

- We'll see who's the piece of iron here! - Olive said, watching the guard through another window.

- "So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?" - voice continued from the phone.

- He's talking about me, am I right? - Chris asks, and Olivia nods at him.

- What does he mean by that? Will these pieces of iron still walk? Huh, I hope they don't want to kill me. - guy chuckled.

- "Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll p-most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh..."

- So, stop... It wasn't in the ad... He's joking, right? What a fucking joke, I'm stuck in a building with killing machines that are hunting me! And Fritz's words... So he knew about it too. Apparently, everyone here knows about it. Something is not clean here... - Mike began to panic.

- Guys, your dad is exaggerating when talking about us... - Naomi asked brothers.

- Well, what should he tell him? "Listen, we have robots here that are possessed by ghosts, and they want to tear you apart?" - Gabriel said.

- "Y-Yeah, we don't tell you these things when you sign up."

- There wasn't even a hint! There was one, though... - Mike said.

- "But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night." - Scott finished, and the recording went off.

- Okay, Mike, calm down, you can handle it... To withstand 6 hours, right? - Mike began to reassure himself.

1 hour 00 minutes

A whole hour has passed. Everything was quiet. The animatronics didn't attack, and Mike was already starting to think it was all a joke. Yes, an organized joke. A good explanation.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth and the rest of the guys were working out a plan.

- Let's start by not scaring him too much and send only Naomi and Olive today. The rest will join, but a little later. - she was saying.

- I agree! - Olive replied. - I'll go on the right side, and Naomi on the left.

- Okay. Then I'll go first. - Naomi said.

Mike saw some movement on the camera.

- Eh? What's it? - he took a closer look.

Bonnie turned his head and, coming down from the stage, it seems, went to the office to the guard.

- Oh, no, no, no! Close the doors! - Mike did so by pressing the red button with the inscription: "DOOR."

He could see 90% of the energy on the tablet. In principle, this was enough for Mike.

Bonnie came up from the left side and started knocking on the door. The rabbit realized that it was pointless and stopped trying. Instead, he just stood and looked at the man through the window. Mike was terribly scared.

Then, a couple of minutes later, Chica came over. She also stood and looked at the guy through the window.

- Another 5 hours... - Mike sighed heavily.

There's a shadow on the wall

Stay calm, stay calm

There's a figure in the hall

Stay calm, stay calm

Keep my wits and stay alive

Wish I had a nine-to-five

There's a stranger in us all

Stay calm, stay calm

2 hours 00 minutes

It was already past one o'clock in the morning. Mike seemed to be holding on. Bonnie and Chica were very active today. They scared the guy and even tried to go into his office. The tablet had 70% of the power.

Every hair is on its end

That's fine, I'm fine

Feeling my adrenaline

That's fine, I'm fine

I can keep away the creeps

Safely from my swivel seat

Something's crawling through the vent

That's fine...

Mike heard sounds coming from the ventilation. It was as if someone was crawling towards him. It was scary, but it still needed to be checked. Opening the ventilation itself, the guy saw... A child. A little girl of about seven with brown hair. Stop... Is she transparent?

Charlotte immediately disappeared. Mike was in shock.

- Uh-oh... - he said.

2 hours 30 minutes

- Charlie, why did you do that? - Gabriel was angry.

- I wanted to scare him too... And by the way, I scared him! - Charlotte replied proudly.

- You'll scare him next time, but now it's not your turn! - boy replied.

There's a ghost in the machine

Stay calm, stay calm

They are watching through the screen

Stay calm, stay calm

They just might drive me crazy

Hey,

Hey,

Hey,

Hey-

Hit me!

Mike began to feel that he was crazy. Imagine: you need to sit in the office for 6 hours while animatronics are hunting you outside, while you really want to sleep, and your head is splitting. Imagined? And Mike doesn't even need to be imagined. It seemed as if an evil invisible force was about to take possession of him any minute.

3 hours 00 minutes

But the guys were also not discouraged and tried to come up with other ways to scare poor Schmidt.

Hey kids, nice to eat ya

Are you ready for some Fazbear pizza?

Gabriel was already hungry and wanted to eat pizza, but the others wouldn't let him do it, since he had to listen to absolutely the whole plan, not missing the details.

Who's this working at the night shift?

Naomi didn't really like this idea anymore. Why scare him? They've done enough already, why even more? The girl wanted to talk to this guy. He's not that bad.

I don't know, but I don't think I like him.

However, Brian did not like him on the contrary. He enjoyed scaring the guard. He seemed too arrogant to the boy.

He's so cute, I can feel his heart racing!

Olive thought the whole thing was hilarious, and she was all for it.

About time we had a brand new play-thing.

Cassidy felt sorry for Mike somewhere deep down and even wanted to dissuade everyone from this idea, but Elizabeth intimidated him with the fact that the new guy could take them apart into details.

- Another yellow belly balkin' like a chicken! - Brian blurted out.

- Hey! - Olivia was hurt. After all, she manages a big chicken.

- Listen gang, I say that we dig in! - Gabriel stepped between Brian and Olive, bringing them back to the topic of conversation.

4 hours 00 minutes

They are slowly closing in

Stay calm, stay calm

Finding inner strength within

Stay calm, stay calm

If I've learned one thing, it's that

Don't respond to Craigslist ads

I can see their second skin

Stay calm, stay c—

Suddenly, a strange feeling came to the guard. It was... Madness? Mike suddenly wanted to just go get an axe and break all these pieces of metal to hell.

Hit me!

Yes, that's right. He just wanted to break them one at a time. But the guy immediately dismissed these thoughts. He would not like to pay a huge fine for the broken property of the pizzeria.

Hit me!

Moreover, it's already 5 o'clock. One more hour, and he can safely quit this job. And then what? Looking for a new job? Mike immediately remembered how he had been looking for a job suitable for him for a long time, but could not find anything. You know, $150 a week, considering that robots are hunting you, is quite a decent amount for someone like Mike, who spends money only on food and clothes...

Hit me!

He'll be ready for the next night. And he also need to find out what happened here and whether it is related to the events of tonight.

Hit me!

It struck 6 o'clock in the morning. He survived. It's all good. Almost. He still has work to do here, so it's too early to be happy. The animatronics switched off again. Mike actually hoped to find some simple job to earn money, where there was nothing to do, but here he had to survive.

6 hours 15 minutes

As Mike approached the exit, he bumped into Scott.

- Well, how was the first night? - Scott smiled.

- Are you kidding? You have animatronics walking around at night, and nothing was said about it in the ad! - Mike was angry.

- I hope you listened to my recording and know...

- Yes, I listened, and at night a hare and a rooster tried to kill me!

- Chica is actually a chicken! - Olive appeared next to the guy, but no one heard her anyway.

- Listen, kid, if you want to quit, then quit, but don't tell anyone what's going on here, okay? - Scott put his hand on Mike's shoulder.

- I'm not going to quit, but okay... - guy sighed.

No one will know what's going on here.
