I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender or Naruto.
Previously on Naruto: Avatar of the Elemental Nations.
It's that time, Naruto - the training must begin, Aang announced. Two more people come up beside Korra. An individual in their seventies, donning the attire of the Firelord has brown colored eyes. The next individual we encountered was a woman with a rich, dark complexion. Equipped in Kyoshi Warrior armor and painted with customary vivid colors and facial ornamentation, she gazed outwards through striking emerald green eyes. Me, Roku, Korra, and Kyoshi will mentor you in elemental bending." Aang said.
I'll train you in the air element," said Aang.
"I will teach you to be as smooth as water," Korra said.
I will make your body and mind as hard as the earth's soil. Kyoshi said
"I shall instill in you the same level of ruthlessness as fire," remarked Roku while walking up to Naruto. Revealing his curiosity, he asked Naruto to showcase his flames, whereupon he summoned two variants, one in black and the other in white. That's an intriguing boy. It seems like your flames possess two separate capabilities. Roku said.
So, Naruto are you ready for your training? Aang asks him while Aang and the rest of the Avatar's eyes glow blue. Yes, master. Naruto stated that his irises and ink designs depict dragons aglow with vibrant blue hues.
Timeskip. 6 Years later.
"This place has remained unchanged." A person dressed in a kimono showcasing black, red, and gold hues is standing at the entrance of Konoha. I will be approaching the Hokage to inquire about being a part of the genin graduation test.
Introduction: Water. [Korra bends a glob of water to the side, then bends another around herself in a circle and sends it flying at the camera, blocking the entire screen as it splatters.]
Earth. [Kyoshi bends one rock to the right side of the screen while earthbending another to the left.]
Air. [Aang performs a breakdance-style airbend with his hand and foot while standing on one leg.]
Fire. [Naruto firebends three fire punches to the right side before turning around and bending an arc of fire. As the camera pans across, it fades into a picture of Team Avatar.]
A long time ago, Avatar Aang and his friends brought an end to the Hundred-Year War waged by the Fire Nation. After the people could communicate, they transformed the Fire Nation colonies into the United Republic of Nations - a society in which benders and non-benders live together in peace.
After Kuvira's defeat, Republic City split into six villages, discarding Avatar Aang's peace.

But one boy knows pain and feels the pain of neglect. Will his flames be hotter than the sun or darker than the moon?
Naruto: Avatar of the Elemental Nations
Book 1, Fire: Return and Graduation, Part 1
Now, we return to the Uzumaki-Namikaze family. Minato and Kushina were devastated, but the two brats couldn't care less about their brother's disappearance. The villagers celebrated Naruto's disappearance, believing that the malevolent being within him had vanished forever. Unbeknownst to them, their revered hero had been training in a different dimension, becoming stronger in the spirit world.
Upon learning this unsettling revelation, Minato and Kushina wasted no time in springing into action. Minato promptly convened an urgent council meeting and made the audacious choice to dissolve the civilian council once and for all. Recognizing the corrupt council's excessive authority over the village's affairs, Minato realized it was time to terminate their reign.
Flashback: After the Council Meeting
As Minato expressed his feelings of self-doubt and regret, Jiraiya appeared beside him with a glimmer of hope. "I think that I know where he could be," he said confidently. Minato's curiosity was immediately piqued when he asked, "Where is it?"
Without hesitation, Jiraiya answered, "The Spirit World." This answer may have confused Minato at first, but luckily Jiraiya was there to provide more information about this mysterious place.
Jiraiya clarified, "The Spirit World is a place where the ghosts of former Avatapriorityy individuals with strong spiritual connections can access this spiritual plane."
Minato's curiosity grew as he listened intently to Jiraiya's words. He had heard stories about this mystical place before but never thought it existed. He could not help but wonder if his son had found comfort in the Spirit World.
Jiraiya went on to explain the wonders and dangers of the Spirit World. He explained how different elements and spirits coexisted peacefully within its borders and how powerful benders could tap into immense energy from this realm.
As Minato sat in the council chambers, his mind raced with thoughts about his son. He had always been a curious and adventurous child, but Minato had never imagined that he would end up in such an extraordinary place as the Spirit World.
Minato had always believed that the physical world was the only reality, but Jiraiya's stories had opened his eyes to a whole new realm of existence. He learned that the Spirit World was a place where the spirits of the dead resided and that people could communicate with them.
Minato was both fascinated and terrified by the thought of the Spirit World. He couldn't help but wonder what his son was experiencing there, and if he would ever return home.
Jiraiya saw the doubt in Minato's eyes, and he tried to reassure him. "Only time will tell," he said. "But I believe that your son is safe and well in the Spirit World."
Minato nodded, but he couldn't shake the feeling of worry. He knew that the Spirit World was a dangerous place, and he didn't want his son to get hurt.
"Thank you for telling me about the Spirit World," Minato said to Jiraiya. "I had no idea such a place existed."
Jiraiya smiled. "No problem, my student," he said. "I'm always happy to share my knowledge."
With that, Jiraiya disappeared out of the council chambers. Minato watched him go, and then he turned his thoughts back to his son.
"Be careful out there, my son," Minato said mentally. "I love you."
Flashback ends
During Naruto's extended absence from Konohagakure for his training in the Spirit World, Minato faced numerous challenges and duties as the Hokage. Among these, a pivotal responsibility was to tackle the deeply ingrained corruption within the civilian council, which had long proven detrimental to the village's well-being. This substantial task required addressing issues such as financial inequalities, shortcomings within the Ninja Academy's standards, and the unethical abuse of authority by certain civilians.
Minato wholeheartedly embraced this formidable challenge, propelled by a steadfast dedication to justice. He recognized that overcoming these entrenched corrupt practices was crucial for the prosperity and advancement of Konoha and its inhabitants. With prudent planning and decisive actions, he initiated a period of transformation within the intricate dynamics of the civilian council.
His priority was rectifying the widespread inflation that had seeped into various segments of society. The previous administration had turned a blind eye to this injustice, allowing a select few to accumulate wealth unfairly. Minato dismantled this unjust enrichment by implementing fair pricing regulations across all sectors in Konoha.
Following this, Minato directed his efforts towards a comprehensive restructuring of the Ninja Academy's syllabus. Under his leadership, new and innovative techniques were integrated alongside rigorous practical training tailored to better prepare young ninjas to confront real-world challenges. Additionally, he emphasized ethical principles and instilled a strong sense of responsibility towards safeguarding the village.
In conclusion, Minato addressed the blatant opportunism of individuals who sought to take advantage of Naruto's absence by selling substandard goods at exorbitant prices. Taking swift and decisive action, he swiftly removed these individuals from their roles, replacing them with honest and upright citizens committed to serving the community with unwavering integrity.
Present time. At the Hokage Office.
Narrator: We enter the Hokage's office, which appears peaceful.
"UGHHHHH"
Narrator: Well, it was peaceful. He is having a sweat-drop looking at the scene that is upon him.
Minato let out an overly dramatic sigh and declared, "Fuck this Paperwork!" It was clear that he would rather face a firing squad than deal with this dreadful chore. Nonetheless, with the determination of someone trying to beat the high score on a video game, he tackled the tiring task head-on.
With each stroke of the pen, he could almost feel the paperwork's evil aura fading away. It was like a showdown in an office Wild West, only instead of drawing guns, it was all about drawing signatures in record time!
As the night wore on, Minato couldn't help but imagine a legendary battle of pens in a corporate conundrum. His pen would be mightier than a bazooka, and every word he scribbled down would be a spell to protect the innocent!
While he initially grumbled and groaned, Minato eventually realized that hidden within those tedious forms was the secret weapon to conquer the forces of the noteworthy. He finished the task, and stood victorious, realizing that not even bureaucratic hurdles could defy his unyielding commitment to justice.
The entire Anbu Black Ops team is silently observing their Hokage's entertaining antics, all trying to stifle their laughter because professionalism comes first, right?
"Phew, that only took forever," Minato exclaimed, smirking triumphantly.
"I don't know how Hiruzen-sama manages to pull off this sorcery," Minato said, scratching his head in disbelief.
"Hokage-sama, I have just received information that a large chakra signature has been detected at the main gate," reported Neko Anbu, who appeared before Minato with urgency in her voice.
Minato's eyes narrowed as he absorbed this information. He knew all too well the potential dangers of such a powerful chakra presence within their village walls. "What do you know about this individual?" he asked, his tone serious and commanding.
Neko Anbu quickly relayed all the details she had gathered through her keen senses. "He appears to be 5'9 tall and male, roughly around Memma's and Mito's age," she stated with precision.
Minato nodded, processing the information carefully. His mind raced with possible scenarios and outcomes for this unexpected visitor. However, he remained calm and composed on the outside, not wanting to show any signs of worry or panic in front of his subordinates.
"Very well," said Minato after a moment of contemplation. "Bring this individual to me immediately."
Neko Anbu bowed respectfully before disappearing in a blur towards the main gate to fulfill her Hokage's orders.
As he waited for her return, Minato couldn't help but wonder who this mysterious person could be and what their intentions were for coming to Konoha at such a crucial time. But regardless of their identity or motives, one thing was certain - they would soon face the legendary Fourth Hokage himself.
As Minato leaned back against his desk, he let out a satisfied sigh. Finally, he had a chance to take a break from the endless pile of paperwork that seemed to be multiplying before his eyes. But alas, it was not meant to be.
Just as he closed his eyes and relaxed into the comfort of his chair, more papers appeared before him like an ominous cloud. It was as if they were taunting him with their crisp edges and perfectly aligned margins.
Unable to contain his frustration any longer, Minato let out a loud expletive that echoed through the quiet office walls. "FUCKKKKKKK!" he yelled in frustration, startling nearby people who quickly ducked behind their cubicle walls.
But seriously, could this day get any worse? Just when he thought he had caught up on all his tasks and could finally enjoy some downtime, fate decided to play another cruel joke on poor Minato.
He couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all - here he was thinking about taking a break and instead getting buried under even more work. Well played, universe...well played indeed. It looks like it's going to be another long night for our dear friend Minato.
Timeskip. Konoha's Main Gate.
"This is so fucking boring."
"Tell me about it."
After careful consideration and evaluation, we have successfully paneled two individuals in front of the main gate. This process involved thorough analysis and discussion to ensure that only the most qualified and suitable candidates were selected for this important task.
Our paneling process was conducted with the utmost professionalism and diligence, taking into account various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. We understand the significance of having competent individuals stationed at our main gate, as they serve as the first point of contact for visitors and play a crucial role in maintaining security measures.
Furthermore, we would like to assure you that both panelists possess exceptional qualities that make them well-suited for this responsibility. Their strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure are just some of the noteworthy attributes that stood out during our selection process.
We are confident that these two individuals will excel in their roles at the main gate and represent our organization with integrity and professionalism. That is, at least I hope.
"Oi, Izumo. When are we going to get some action today?" asked one of the individuals, glancing at a young shinobi with tousled brown hair that partially obscured his dark eyes. He wore his forehead protector like a bandanna, paired with the classic Konoha shinobi attire.
"Along as we stay chunins, I doubt it, Kotetsu," Izumo said.
Kotetsu has long, spiky black hair and dark eyes. He has a strip of bandage running across the bridge of his nose and an alight-colored marking on his chin, although it has the same color as his hair in the anime. He wears the standard attire of a Konoha shinobi, complete with a forehead protector and a flak jacket.
Kotetsu let out a heavy sigh as he slumped down onto his desk, the weight of his thoughts weighing him down. Izumo, noticing his friend's dejected state, couldn't help but ask what was wrong.
"I know," Kotetsu replied with a hint of sadness in his voice. He had been feeling overwhelmed and exhausted lately, struggling to keep up with the demands of being a shinobi in Konoha.
"Wait, who is that?" Izumo's question snapped Kotetsu out of his reverie as he followed his gaze towards the entrance of their village. There stood a figure dressed in an elegant kimono adorned with black, red, and gold hues - colors often associated with royalty and power.
As they watched the person enter Konoha, Kotetsu couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity wash over him. It was as if he had seen this person before or heard about them from somewhere else.
"This place has remained unchanged," the figure stated calmly while taking in their surroundings. Their voice held an air of authority and experience that demanded attention.
Izumo quickly stepped forward, ready to fulfill his duty as one of Konoha's guards. "Hold! State your name and purpose here, sir." His tone was stern yet respectful towards this mysterious visitor.
The person turned to face Izumo fully now and introduced themselves confidently. "My name is Kagami Naruto," they said firmly before continuing on to explain their reason for coming to Konoha. "And I am here to see the Hokage."
Kotetsu's eyes widened at hearing this new information - could it be? Was this Naruto someone important? He couldn't wait to find out more about this intriguing individual, who seemed so familiar yet completely unknown at the same time.
"Wait, can it be the Hokage's missing son?" Kotetsu thought to himself as he remembered the boy.
Kotetsu's mind raced as he tried to piece together the puzzle in his head. The Hokage's missing son, Naruto, had been gone for years without a trace. Could this person standing before them really be him? Izumo's expression also showed confusion as he tried to make sense of the situation.
"The Hokage's son? But he's been missing for so long," Izumo muttered under his breath. Kagami Naruto's eyes softened as he heard the mention of his father.
"Yes, I am the Hokage's son. I have returned to Konoha after many years of wandering," he explained. Kotetsu and Izumo exchanged looks, both feeling a mix of shock and relief at the news. The village had always been curious about the disappearance of their leader's son, and now he had returned.
A squad of Anbu, led by Neko Anbu, appeared and listened to what the boy said.
"Kagami Naruto. The Hokage requests your presence." Neko Anbu told him.
"Okay. Thank you, Anbu-san." Naruto said as he bowed to the squad.
Neko Anbu nodded in acknowledgement of Naruto's gratitude and gestured for him to follow the squad. The elite group moved swiftly through the village, their silent footsteps barely making a sound as they made their way towards the Hokage's office.
Timeskip. Hokage office.
As they approached the large building, Neko Anbu opened the door and ushered Naruto inside. The young boy couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness wash over him as he entered the room where all important decisions were made for Konoha.
Minato sat behind her desk, his eyes focused on some documents in front of her. She looked up when she heard them enter and smiled warmly at Naruto.
"Ah, Naruto," he said with a hint of amusement in his voice. "I'm glad you could make it."
Naruto bowed respectfully before approaching her desk. "You requested my presence, Hokage-sama?" he asked with curiosity laced in his tone.
Minato watched as Naruto's expression shifted from determination to sadness. He could see the weight of his words sinking in, and it pained him to know that he had caused such pain to his own son.
"So your training in the spirit world is finally complete?" Minato asked, trying to break the heavy silence between them. His eyes searched Naruto's face for a sign of his answer, hoping for some reassurance that he had made amends with his son.
Naruto nodded slowly, still processing everything that had happened during his time in the spirit world. "Mmm," he mumbled before adding mentally, "So the old toad told him about the Avatar? And the spirit world as well."
"Yes, Hokage-sama." Naruto finally spoke up after a brief pause.
"And I'm also here to do the Academy Graduation Exam," he continued, shifting nervously on his feet.
"You sure you're ready for this?" Minato asked with concern etched on his features. He knew how much pressure was placed on young ninja like Naruto who were expected to pass their exams and prove themselves worthy of becoming shinobi.
"I'm sure," Naruto replied confidently, determined not to let anything hold him back anymore.
"Okay then," Minato said with a small smile. "Head over to the academy and you will find your teacher waiting for you."
"Thank you so much, Hokage-sama," Naruto bowed respectfully before turning towards the door.
But just as he reached for it, Minato called out again. "Son wait."
Naruto turned around curiously and saw that Minato's gaze was still fixed on him intently.
"I'm sorry for all the pain that me and your mother have caused you," Minato said with a sigh. The weight of those words hung heavily in the air between them as they both remembered past events filled with regret and sorrow.
Naruto's eyes softened as he looked at his father, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside him. He knew that Minato was trying to make things right, and he appreciated the effort.
"I know," Naruto said, his voice shaking slightly with emotion. "But I won't forget."
With those words, Naruto turned and closed the door behind him, leaving Minato standing alone in his office. As he walked towards the academy, Naruto couldn't help but feel a sense of closure and forgiveness wash over him.
He may never fully understand or accept what had happened in the past, but he was willing to move forward and create a better future for himself. And with his training in the spirit world complete, he felt more determined than ever to become a strong ninja and protect those who were important to him.
As for Minato, he watched his son leave with pride mixed with sadness in his heart. He knew there was still much mending to be done between them, but seeing Naruto grow into such a resilient individual gave him hope that they could one day have a true family relationship.
For now though, both father and son were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead as they continued on their paths towards redemption and reconciliation.
To be Continued…
Author's Note: I'm finally back from my break, which took a bit longer than I had originally anticipated. Honestly, I felt so drained from writing that I briefly considered not posting anything until July. However, I realized that I couldn't do that to my loyal readers.
To make up for my absence, I'm eager to hear your ideas for future fanfictions. What kind of stories would you like to see from me? Whether it's a continuation of an existing series or a completely new concept, I'm open to all suggestions.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this latest chapter!
