Only an hour or two had passed before Carrie woke up again, and she realized that being captured by four monsters hadn't just been a dream, but a reality. "I was hoping it was an odd dream." Carrie muttered to herself, she got out of the bed then put her shoes back on before going to the door and peeking out into the hallway to see if the coast was clear as Carrie didn't want to run into any of the monsters right off the bat, and it was just her luck that she didn't see her captors anywhere in sight. "Maybe I can figure out a way to get back into town." Carrie whispered softly, the ten year old walked down the hall only to see a light coming from the kitchen where the monsters were at, so Carrie looked to see what the four were doing.

"Think Carrie will like this?" Mummy asked his friends, Carrie noticed that the monsters were making breakfast even though it was night. "Breakfast for dinner is something that Miss Raven likes." Dr. Davenport replied as he poured milk into five cups to go with the food. "We should probably check on Carrie soon." Big Ed added in while setting up the table, before Wolf-Mon could say anything, he caught Carrie's scent and looked at the door where he saw her standing. "Looks like Carrie's up, Mon." Wolf-Mon told his friends, everyone turned to the door to see Carrie. "Feeling better?" Mummy asked her kindly, Carrie didn't know what to say so she just nodded her head then looked down at her feet. "We've made breakfast for dinner, just the way you like it." Big Ed said with a smile, looking around the kitchen, Carrie could see that the monsters worked hard to make her favorites just for her. "I do need to eat in order to regain my energy if I'm going to escape." Carrie thought before snapping out of her thoughts, Wolf-Mon had put his arm around Carrie's shoulder in order to guide her to the table where the others put the food down.

"Let's dig in!" Big Ed said as he put some pancakes on his plate, the others followed his lead before Dr. Davenport made a plate for Carrie since she needed a lot more food. "Thank you." Carrie said softly, the monsters had to strain their ears just to hear her. "Your quite welcome." Dr. Davenport replied to her, although no one could see his face, everyone knew that he was smiling, soon the five were eating as well as trying to coax Carrie into talking a little more, but she wasn't going to budge since she was still upset over being captured, and realizing that no one was going to try and rescue her, so the monsters took what they could get from Carrie until she came around. "She'll open up when she's ready." Dr. Davenport whispered to his friends, the four knew better than to push Carrie even though they were going to try, but they decided to start with little things like making her favorite foods or trying any of Carrie's hobbies which they had learned about by doing some investigating or like Carrie had thought, the monsters had to have been spying her even though they'd argue over that little fact.

Once breakfast for dinner had been finished, the monsters got up in order to clean up the table and dishes to which Carrie willingly chose to help with, even though the monsters had kidnapped her, Carrie was still going to be a good girl, and help with cleaning up. "Alright, now what should we do?" Wolf-Mon asked with a laid-back smile, none of the monsters had realized that Carrie already left the kitchen in order to find an escape route. "Perhaps we should find Miss Raven, she seems to be missing." Dr. Davenport pointed out, his friends looked around the kitchen to see that he was right. "Where'd she go?" Mummy asked in confusion, the four decided to think of where Carrie could've gone before they realized that she was going to try and escape. "We need to find her! The forest is dangerous at night." Big Ed said with worry in his voice, even after the monsters had left the kitchen, they heard music beginning to play as it echoed all over the mountain. "Must be another song that Carrie...there she is!" Wolf-Mon shouted over the music, the four saw Carrie waving at them before she took off running down the hall, and that's what led the monsters to chase her.

[Play Walk like and Egyptian by The Bangles]

[Carrie]

(Music)

All the old paintings on the tomb

They do the sand dance, don't you know

If they move too quick (oh-way-oh)

They're falling down like a domino

All the bazaar men by the Nile

They got the money on a bet

Gold crocodiles (oh-way-oh)

They snap their teeth on your cigarette

Foreign types with the hookah pipes say

Way-oh-way-oh, way-oh-way-oh

Walk like an Egyptian

(Music)

The blond waitresses take their trays

They spin around and they cross the floor

They've got the moves (oh-way-oh)

You drop your drink

And they bring you more

All the kids so sick of books

They like the punk and the metal band

When the buzzer rings (oh-way-oh)

They're walking like an Egyptian

All the kids in the marketplace say

Way-oh-way-oh, way-oh-way-oh

Walk like an Egyptian

(Music)

Slide your feet up the street

Bend your back

Shift your arm, then you pull it back

Life is hard you know (oh-way-oh)

So strike a pose on a Cadillac

If you wanna find all the cops

They're hanging out in the donut shop

They sing and dance (oh-way-oh)

They spin the clubs, cruise down the block

All the Japanese with their yen

The party boys they call the Kremlin

And the Chinese know (oh-way-oh)

They walk the line like Egyptian

All the cops in the donut shop say

Way-oh-way-oh, way-oh-way-oh

Walk like an Egyptian

Walk like an Egyptian

Walk like an Egyptian!

During the game of hide and seek, Carrie ended up using a mask to scare three of the four the monsters to run in the opposite direction before she ran the other way which led to the front door of monster mountain, but just before Carrie could even open the door, Dr. Davenport picked her up again. "It's too dangerous to go out now." Dr. Davenport told Carrie, she tried to get away from him, but that only made Dr. Davenport wrap his arms around her while pinning her arms to her sides. "Let me go!" Carrie said as she tried to get him to put her down, however, Dr. Davenport knew better. "Once you are back in your room." Dr. Davenport replied as he went back up the stairs, Big Ed, Mummy and Wolf-Mon watched with sadness in their eyes. "Maybe we really did do a bad thing." Big Ed said with a sigh, Mummy and Wolf-Mon agreed with him, but the three decided that now wasn't the time to give up.

"We just need to show Carrie that we mean her no harm." Mummy replied as he sat down on the stairs, Wolf-Mon thought for a moment. "I think I saw Carrie smiling when we were chasing her." Wolf-Mon told his friends, the three thought about what he said, and realized that Wolf-Mon was right about that. "Maybe this was just a test or a game?" Big Ed suggested with a shrug of his arms, the more the three thought about the chase, the more they believed that Carrie was just playing a game with them. "So, that means that Carrie just wanted to play." Mummy said as he scratched his head, Dr. Davenport listened to their speculations, but he didn't have the heart to tell them that their new ward was really trying to escape them.

"If that is the case, we'll need to be more careful." Dr. Davenport told his friends, the four went to the living room where Big Ed, Wolf-Mon and Mummy talked about what other games they could play with Carrie in the morning, but Dr. Davenport warned them not to take Carrie outside lest she get hurt or lost. "We have plenty of room inside where we can play." Big Ed said with a smile, Mummy and Wolf-Mon agreed with him before Dr. Davenport reminded them to keep Carrie away from his lab as well. "We'll remember, and hey, maybe we can listen to more of Carrie's music too." Mummy added with a bigger smile, he'd be the first to admit that he had been dancing to the song while it had been playing since he's Egyptian. "That song was a ton of fun." Wolf-Mon responded with a smirk, just like Mummy, Wolf-Mon had been dancing along to the music since it was catchy, not to mention that Big Ed had joined in as had Carrie since she'd taken a break from running just to dance. "We'll have to wait and see." Dr. Davenport told his friends.

Since Carrie was back in her room, the monsters took the time to relax all while hoping that Carrie would be in a more playful mood in the morning. "I believe that it's time for us to turn in." Dr. Davenport said as he looked at the clock, it was rather late in the night as the chase had been more time consuming. "Then we'd better hit the sack if we're going to keep up with Carrie." Wolf-Mon replied with a yawn, his friends agreed then they monsters went to their rooms where they could hope for a good-nights sleep as they would have to change their sleeping schedules in order to match Carrie's since they knew that humans slept during the night and were up during the day. "It'll be strange to up in the morning." Big Ed said as he laid down on his charging table, while he knew his friends felt the same way, the four had agreed that sleeping at night was much better for Carrie since she's a growing girl and children did most their growing while sleeping. "I'm sure it'll be alright." Big Ed muttered to himself, he closed his eyes then felt himself starting to charge up again before falling asleep for real while his friends fell asleep in their rooms while hoping that by morning Carrie would see that she was safe with the monsters.
