Jiro stirred in her, stretching away the slumber in her muscles as she rolls, her warm spot on the sofa giving her a relaxed feeling of comfort. She opened her eyes, closing them again as the dimmed lights hit her face. She rubbed her eyes with her fingers, rubbing the sleep out of them as she lightly clawed in front of her, expecting find something soft, squishy, and with a little green top but only felt open air. She opened her eyes fully, seeing the other side of the sofa empty. She looked around, confused as she realised she was still at the Midoriya resident.
She immediately shot up, looking around the to see a small lady in the kitchen looking back at her, a frying pan with bacon sizzling inside in her palm. Both stared at each other for a moment, Jiro's still half asleep mind struggling to put the pieces together. The final cog finally clicked into place in Jiro's mind, her eyes bulging as she finally realised who it was.
"M-Mr's Midoriya!" Jiro said, looking up and down at the woman as she started to mildly panic, not intending to stay the night at all as a million thoughts ran through her head.
"Morning sleepy head" Inko said with a soft chuckle, placing the pan back onto the stove as she flipped the thick ridged bacon. Jiro stayed sitting on the sofa, turning to look at Inko, not sure what to say or do as she looked over different thoughts in her mind, particularly the ones involving her own parents.
Jiro slowly stood up, heading towards the door as she creeped slowly on her toes. She looked around, not seeing Midoriya anywhere but not particularly caring, just wanting to get out of this awkward situation.
"Your free to stay for breakfast, but then your parents want you straight back, they want you to call them on the way home as well" Inko said, not looking or batting an eye as she continued to cook the bacon, placing some bread into the toaster as well as cracking an egg into the pan, watching it sizzle as the egg white quickly begins to harden.
"What?" Jiro said, standing still in place as she looked over to Inko, thoroughly confused by the sentence she was just given.
"When I got in last night I saw you both cuddled up asleep on the sofa, I noticed your phone buzzing on the coffee table surrounded by half eaten packets of junk food. I took the liberty of answering it for you. On the other end was a pair of understandably worried parents, lovely couple by the way" Inko said with a smile towards Jiro, motioning for her to sit down at the counter, which Jiro promptly did. "I explained the situation to them, gave them my phone number and our address, so they know where you are" She said.
"Thank you Mrs Midoriya" Jiro said, a faint blush on her cheeks as she smiled up at the older woman, quickly understanding where Midoriya got his good will.
"Call me Inko hun, it'll save a lot of confusion down the line" Inko said with a smile, dishing up the bacon and egg before buttering the toast and placing it on the same plate, placing it in front of Jiro with a motherly smile.
"Then in that case thank you Inko, this is honestly to kind" Jiro said, returning the smile with her own as she looked down at the cooked breakfast, quickly helping herself to the meal in front of her.
She ate the food with haste, her stomach clearly deprived of anything with actual sustenance because of her rampant binge eating last night. She looked around the room, wondering where Midoriya could be if he wasn't here with them.
"Um, Mrs Inko, where's Izuku?" Jiro said, soon realising that she used his first name in front oh his mother.
Inko only gave a soft chuckle in reply, scrubbing the freshly used pan clean in the sink as she turns her head to Jiro. "Izuku got up a little bit ago, decided to go get a shower, I heard the water stop running just before you woke up so he shouldn't be much longer" Inko said, finishing up the washing as she undid her apron.
"Oh ok" Jiro said, looking at Midoriya's room door. 'Ok Kyoka, whatever you do don't think about a naked, dripping wet izu- no no no no no no no' Jiro said, lightly slapping her already red cheek, letting out a breath she was holding before continuing to eat, finishing the food with a smile up at Inko. "Thank you again for the food, I really needed that"
"Your welcome hun, I'm glad I could hel- oh shoot is that the time?!" Inko said, her eyes darting to the clock on the wall as she quickly moved to the coffee table, grabbing her bag as she moved back to the kitchen. "The market is having a sale on seafood and Izuku loves it for his diet" She said, moving to the door before stopping, turning on her heel and moving back to Jiro, looking at her before quickly hugging her tight.
"Thank you for what you've done for my boy, you've had a bigger impact on him then you could possibly imagine" Inko said, holding Jiro closer as she placed her head on Jiro's shoulder. Jiro was lost for words, not sure how to react as she smiled at the words, hugging Inko back.
"I-It's fine really, he's helped me as well" Jiro said, relaxing into the hug. Both shared the moment before Inko slowly broke it, giving Jiro one last smile before heading to the door. "When you leave don't forget to call your parents!" Inko shouted out, smiling as she left the household, closing the door behind her.
Jiro smiled and waved her goodbye, stretching in the chair before looking around the flat, grimacing at all the half-eaten junk food and trash her and Midoriya left around the apartment. She stood up, starting to clean the apartment as she threw away crisp packets and sweet boxes, placing some of the treats into the fridge.
Satisfied with her work she moved to Midoriya's room, knocking on the door before opening it. "Morning Izuku, I met your mum, she's lovely but I really need to go but wanted to say b-" She cut herself off as she walked into the room, seeing Midoriya wearing shorts with a top above his head, his back to her. What she saw left a lump in her throat.
Scars, burns, bruises, bubbling blisters. Every wound you could name was on Midoriya's back, a grotesque catalogue of injuries. Nearly every inch of his back was blemished with a cut or bruise, more significant areas such as the shoulder blades having what seemed to be burn marks. What stood out to Jiro the most was on his left shoulder, an almost perfect imprint of a hand. This hand was burnt deep into Midoriya, scarring him most likely for life.
Jiro raised a mouth to cover her gaping mouth, her other hand shaking as she tried her best to fight back tears. How could she have been so blind? How could she not have seen this, or felt it during hugs? She could have helped him sooner.
Her thoughts kept rushing through her head, her knees shaking and going weak as the threatened to buckle. Nobody deserved this, no one, especially Midoriya, especially her Izuku.
She moved her shaking hand forward, taking a couple steps towards him. She looked him in the eyes, looked back down at his scars, then looked back up at his eyes the damn cracking as the tears she tried to fight back appeared in the corners of her eyes.
His own eyes were filled with a growing fear, quickly throwing his shirt over his body as he took a step back. "Y-You weren't s-suppose to see that" He said, his hands moving up slightly, not knowing what to do with them as they stayed close to his chest in a timid manner.
"Did He do that to you?" Jiro asked, both of them knowing who 'he' is.
Midoriya didn't say a word, only giving a small nod.
That nod is all Jiro needed, quickly moving towards Midoriya, practically jumping at him as she wrapped him up in a deep hug, holding onto him tightly as she moved his head into her chest. She started to stroke his hair, nuzzling her own head into his hair.
Midoriya's knees gave out, Jiro guiding them both to the floor as he wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight as he gripped onto her shirt, scared she could vanish at any moment.
"I-I'm so s-sorry K-Kyoka" Midoriya cried out, looking up to her with tear stained eyes.
Jiro couldn't have any of it, placing her hands on each side of his face. "Shut up Midoriya, you have nothing to be sorry for Izuku. None of this is your fault, your not alone anymore" She said to him, Midoriya practically melting into her warm hold on him. They both held each other, not a word exchanged between them as unknown minutes went by, just finding peace in each other's arms.
"I-I'm sorry Kyoka, you shouldn't have to deal with this, you don't have to" Midoriya said, his words sounding like he wanted her to go but his actions of holding her tighter told her otherwise. Her heart ached at his words, how could he think that he is being a problem for her?
"You have never been a problem for me Izuku, I'm here for you ok? And I'm not going to have you deal with this on your own." Jiro said, holding him close to her chest again, her jacks wrapping around his arms. They once again just held each other, enjoying the comforting feeling of each other.
Midoriya, with great reluctance slowly let go, his cheeks stained with tears but he gave a smile, even if it is a weak one. "I-I think I-I'm good" He said, rubbing his eyes to get the tears out.
"You sure?" Jiro asked, letting go of him but her jacks still wrapped around his arms.
"N-No but I'm a-a lot better than I was" Midoriya said with a small chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. "I want t-to tell you about e-everything, I really do, b-but not yet. I Just d-don't think I can yet" Midoriya said, trying to justify his past.
"take all the time you need ok? I'll still be here for you when you're ready"
"T-Thank you Kyoka" Midoriya choked out, letting out a cough to clear his throat. He stood up, Jiro's jacks letting go of his arms as he offers one to help her back to her feet. She took the hand and was lifted up, smiling up at Izuku as they both returned to the main room of the apartment.
"I'm glad you like my mum" He said, his voice weak but happy to be talking about something.
"I'm more glad that she likes me" Jiro said with a giggle, grabbing her bag as she placed it on her back.
"Thank you again Kyoka, it's weird that someone has seen it, but I'm happy that you aren't freaking out at me about it" Midoriya said, rubbing his arm with his other hand.
Jiro smiled, taking a step closer to Midoriya. "I could never been mad at you for something like this. We are going to the teachers with this on Monday though ok?" Jiro said, a serious look on her face as Midoriya looked away, giving a slow nod.
"Good, I need to go, we can talk on phone tomorrow until Monday ok?" Jiro said, Midoriya smiling as she walked Jiro to the door.
When they got to the door Jiro walk outside, smiling at Midoriya. "Stay safe ok?" Jiro said, moving forward and going on her toes, kissing Midoriya on the cheek. Quickly realising what she just deep her face turned scarlet, quickly running away. "OKWELLSEEYAMONDAY" Jiro quickly said, running around the corner leaving Midoriya in an equally blushing appearance, touching the spot that was kissed gently.
Jiro calmed down around the corner, placing her hand on her chest to calm down her heartrate. She smiled, his skin was so soft.
She started heading home, grabbing her phone and calling her parents, quickly moving it away from her ear as her dad screams down the device.
Midoriya and Jiro spoke throughout their entire Sunday, only pausing their digital conversation for chores or food. They talked about what caused his injuries, Midoriya keeping the answers brief and obscure, blaming it on working out or bullying from his younger schooling days. Jiro didn't fully believe every answer, knowing some of the injuries were fresh or worse that some of the injuries we scarred. They texted each other deep into the night, only stopping after Midoriya passed out on his bed, Jiro assuming he did so and quickly went to sleep herself.
Jiro woke up with a yawn, her alarm softly blasting music as she gave a stretch, slapping her alarm to turn it off as she got out of her bed, quickly getting changed into her school attire. She threw her bag over her shoulders, waving to her mum on the sofa who was enjoying a cup of tea, her father most likely still in bed. She left her house, smiling as she got her bag and rummaged inside, finding her headphones as she put them on, turning the wireless headset on as they started playing music, nodding her head to the beat.
Jiro looked around, noticing how early it was, deciding to skip making breakfast and just grab some on her way to school. She started heading into town, still close to UA but making a small detour to the market area. She soon found her a small corner shop as she quickly walk inside, heading towards the ready meals section of the store.
When she turned the corner of the isle she smiled wide, seeing Kirishima talking to Midoriya, both seemingly discussing what protein shake would go best with a ready-made omelette.
"Glad to see I'm not the only one that forgot breakfast" Jiro called out to them both, both of them looking back to her as they smiled wide, Kirishima waving at her while Midoriya seemed to simply brighten up, his posture changing to seem more confident.
"Yo Jiro!" Kirishima said with a grin, lifting up the protein shake he decided on. "Yeah me and Midoriya got up early and bumped into each other on the way to UA" Kirishima said, placing his free hand on Midoriya's shoulder who smiled and nodded, agreeing with what Kirishima said.
"Oh fair enough, I just wasn't in the mood to sort out my own breakfast so I was just gonna grab stuff here" Jiro said, smiling at the two as she scooted between them, looking at the selection before her, quickly grabbing a cheese toasty and an energy drink, moving to the counter with the others as they all bought their own items. They all sat down outside, enjoying their food and drinks before heading to UA.
They reached the gates of UA, moving to 1-A. As they walked through the door they seemed to be the first to arrive, sitting in their seats as they turned around to talk to each other. Soon the class began to fill with students, the first two appearing being Iida and Yaoyorozu, joining in their conversation about what the day ahead would be about, even Iida being in the dark. It wasn't long until the rest of the class arrived, Bakugo's chair remaining empty.
When the rest of the class arrived, the room burst into conversation of various different topics, most still talking about the USJ attack that happened last week. Shoji and Sero were talking to Hagakure, attempting to comfort her about her most likely not getting a lot of attention on the tv due to her just being a pair of gloves floating around. Kaminari and Kirishima gloating about probably being celebrities, Jiro quickly bringing them back down to earth, explaining that the news only cared about the villains attacking an area that is suppose to be safe.
The clock hit '9:27' as Iida stood up and started walking to the front, seemingly waiting for this moment as he stood at the central pedestal. "Homeroom class is about to begin! I request that you all stop your conversations and that you take your seats!" Iida said, his voice loud but not aggressive.
"You're the only one standing Iida" Kirishima stated, a few of hi classmates laughing at their class representatives antics of trying to be coordinated, Iida giving a deadpan, defeated look as he quickly sat down, telling himself off in his head.
Everyone was confused as to who was going to be teaching them, perhaps Ectoplasm since he covered the classes for the one day they were in last week. Their questions were going to be quickly answered as the door to their class slowly opened.
"Good morning class" Came a muffled voice, Mr Aizawa covered in bandages head to toe, his entire face covered in white, sterile bandages as both his arms were in arm slings. He slowly shuffled into the classroom.
"Mr Aizawa what are you doing here!?" The class shouted in unison, watching the mummified teacher slowly hobble to the pedestal.
"My wellbeing is irrelevant, what matters now is all of you. Because of last week's attack the school is now going to be under careful watch, it's a miracle that none of you were significantly hurt. So I intend to turn our luck, into skill, we are having some emergency training with class 1-B. this is going to help both classes have more natural and quick thinking with these situations" Mr Aizawa said, not skipping a beat as he explained today's schedule. Most of the class was paying full attention, though some were still concerned about Mr Aizawa's current state of health.
"Mr Aizawa are you capable of training us in your current condition? Ribbit" Asui asked, looking up Mr Aizawa up and down, her eyes lingering on his arms, having a front row seat of watching them be crumpled like paper in front of her, a shiver running down her spine.
"I will be supervising, the rest of the faculty will be there to help both classes" Mr Aizawa explained. "Now get ready, meet me outside the training gym in half an hour" Mr Aizawa said, activating the wall of costumes as each students hero costume suitcase became available, Mr Aizawa soon walking out of the classroom with a tired huff.
The students of 1-A quickly got to collecting their costumes and setting off to the changing rooms, talking to each other as they walked down. Jiro and Midoriya as usual were behind the rest of the students, talking to each other with smiles on their faces, Ashido noticing this as she nudged Yaoyorozu, both giggling at the cute couple as they already began to talk gossip.
It wasn't long for all the students to get changed, soon leaving and meeting up with Mr Aizawa. They were then all escorted to the training fields, walking to the usual urban training ground they are used to, however this urban area was slightly different, having a lot more factories and warehouses mixed in with the standard urban buildings.
Just outside the gates to the training area the students noticed that they certainly weren't alone, seeing Ectoplasm, Vlad King, Cementoss, and Midnight standing there, as well as a group of other students.
"Class 1-A, meet class 1-B" Mr Aizawa said, seeing a selection of different students staring at class 1-A, as well as a certain explosion quirk user hanging at the back of the class, staring daggers at Midoriya.
"These students have trained just as hard as you have, don't think you being A and them being B makes you better, you are all at the same level" Mr Aizawa warned his students, Vlad King chuckling as he folds his arms, confident in his students abilities.
"Right! This is how todays training is going to work" Vlad King said. "Each person is going to paired with another from the opposite class, then those two will be fighting in one versus one combat, then we change partners. This is going to help you react to quirks you have never fought against, and hopefully overcome them" He further explained, all the students nodding and agreeing with them.
"Each teacher is going to be keeping an eye on a set amount of groups, we cant afford to do these one at a time which is why we have got the largest training area available." Vlad King further explained, the doors to the facility opening as everyone began to walk inside.
The pro hero's all got into a small blue buggy, covered in UA symbols, driving off down the main street of the training area.
"They are going to be going to different sections of the facility, and we are going to give each of you a number, if you are given the number one, two, or three. You are to jog down the street and meet the pro hero's, where they will take you to different training areas, if you are given the number four you are staying here with me and Eraser Head." Vlad King explained, going down the list of students.
After the numbers were distributed, a selection of students from class 1-A stayed with Vlad King, some stand outs being Jiro, Shoji, Sato and Hagakure. The rest of the students being sent down to train with the other teachers.
Jiro watched as Midoriya jogged down the street, cracking her neck as she jumped up and down on the spot, attempting to warm herself up as she looked around her, seeing who else was with her before her eyes locked onto Bakugo who was staying with them to train.
Jiro's fists clenched into balls, she wanted to be paired with Bakugo, oh how she wanted to be paired with Bakugo. She wanted to kick, his, ass.
Jiro tried her best to fight back the growing grin on her face, she got her wish. She saw Vlad King pick both Bakugo and Jiro's names from cases similar to their first training session with All Might. She looked over at Bakugo, seeing him blank her completely as he continued to look down the street, Jiro looking down it as well in mild confusion.
"Right! Eraser Head is going to monitor half of you, I've got the other half. We're going to be stationed on the observation floor of that building" Vlad King said, pointing at a nearby building. "Eraser Head's students will be fighting in the park district, my students will be fighting in this small warehouse district, find an area you can both fight in, you must be at least one hundred metres away from any other group" Vlad King explained. "Now get to work! You have ten minutes to get into place, a siren will sound for you to begin" He finished, walking up to thew observation deck with Mr Aizawa.
Jiro started heading into the warehouse district, seeing Bakugo ahead of her. She quickly looked around, seeing Ojiro walking off with someone that appeared to have a insect like head,. She also saw Yaoyorozu walking with a red headed girl, Shoji walking with a girl that seemed to have vines for hair.
Jiro continued into the warehouse, watching Bakugo head inside a warehouse. Jiro walked inside, the entire warehouse being completely barren of any equipment or furniture. Jiro wanted to say something, to challenge Bakugo for what he did to Midoriya, but she couldn't think of anything. She gave a sigh as she stopped at the entrance of the warehouse.
"Why did you do it?" She shouted, her question echoing through the large, abandoned warehouse.
Bakugo stopped in the middle of the warehouse, looking back at Jiro with a deadpan, look. "What are you on about earphone jack-ass?" he said bluntly, rolling one of his shoulders.
"Why did you bully Izuku for so long?" Jiro continued, taking a step forward.
Bakugo let out a throaty chuckle, flexing his gloved fingers as he hunched over slightly, getting into an offensive stance. "He needs to learn his place as a quirkless loser, and today I'm going to finish that once and for all"
"What do you mean by that?" Jiro said, raising her earphone jacks as she lifted her fists, changing her legs into a better stance.
Before her question could be answered the siren blared, Bakugo grinning, the grin unhinged as his eyes looked empty, only filled with a hunters stare. "See ya extra" He said before his palms came to life with explosive energy, launching him up into the ceiling as he crashed through one of the ceiling windows, blasting off into the distance.
Jiro's question was answered, he was after Midoriya! Jiro ran out of the warehouse, sliding around the corner as she looked to the sky, seeing the black explosive clouds left behind by Bakugo. She kept running, remembering that Midoriya was going to be with Ectoplasm, but she had to get there fast, she had no idea if the teachers would be aware already.
As she kept running, darting between the different alleyways and warehouses she came across more students. She immediately noticed one of them. Shoji and Shiozaki were currently in the middle of a fight on the skywalks of the warehouse they were in. Shoji was gripping a several handfuls of Shiozaki's vines in one pair of arms, his other set of arms being wrapped up by a different collection of her vines.
"GUYS STOP!" Jiro shouted, stopping as she placed her hands on her knees, panting heavily as she looked up at them.
Shoji and Shiozaki looked down at her, both confused as they slowly nodded at each other, Shoji letting go of her vines and Shiozaki letting go of his arms. They both made their way down to the ground floor, Shiozaki using her vines like a spider to crawl down the wall, while Shoji simply jumped off, landing with a roll as they both jogged to Jiro.
"Jiro what's up?" Shoji asked, Shiozaki just staying quiet.
"It's Bakugo, I don't have time to explain, but he's after Izuku and we need to stop him!" Jiro explained between pants, looking at the two. She looked to them both. "You guys need to go to get the teachers, explain what's going on so they can stop him, I need to go stop him!" Jiro said, calming her breathing as she gets ready to continue to run.
Shiozaki nodded, using her vines to lift her into the sky as she started to crawl out of the warehouse with speed, heading towards the building pointed out to them at the beginning.
"There's no point both of us going, she'll get there far before me, I'm coming with you" Shoji said, Jiro just giving him a nod and a weak smile before they both set off, running out of the warehouse and further down the street.
"What did Vlad King say they were going?" Shoji said, running alongside Jiro.
"Izuku was number three, so he's with Ectoplasm. They were heading to the main factory area" She said, both turning left to run along the main road.
"That's not good, that's a big area, Midoriya and Bakugo could be anywhere" Shoji said, looking ahead to see them getting close.
"When we get there, you go right, I'll go left, we'll cover more ground to find them that way" Jiro said, getting a nod from Shoji as they continued to run ahead, soon reaching the main factory area.
'I'll finally show him just how pathetic he is once and for all' Bakugo thought to himself, scanning the factory area around him as he flew through the air, the same twisted smile refusing to leave his face.
He soon found his target, Midoriya standing on the top of a factory building dodging attacks from a guy that had scaled fists, trying to claw at Midoriya. Bakugo went low, now level with them before giving off a final explosion, launching himself into Midoriya as he flew off with him over his shoulder, Midoriya instinctively hanging onto Bakugo's costume as he watched himself fly away, high into the sky.
"K-Kacchan?!" Midoriya stuttered out, very confused by what was going on, his eyes becoming the size of pins as he saw the sickly grin on Bakugo's face.
"We need to have a chat Deku" Bakugo said, sounding uncharacteristically calm. Bakugo continued to fly forwards, sliding into an alley way as he threw Midoriya onto the floor. Bakugo walked towards Midoriya, Midoriya out of instinct crawling away before being stopped by the wall of the building behind him.
"This is all your fault Deku, first you get into UA when I was the only one suppose to get in from that stupid junior high. Then you passed the entrance exam when I WAS the only one to pass. THEN YOU KEPT SUCCEDING, SUPRASSING ME AND GETTING ME PUT INTO 1-B, THE WEAKER FUCKING CLASS!" Bakugo shouted, getting angrier and angrier as his hands sparked with explosive life.
"I'VE HAD IT DEKU, I'M SICK OF YOU, SOME EXTRA TRYING TO BE THE MAIN CHARACTER IN MY GOD DAMN STORY!" Bakugo continued to shout, looking down at the now quivering Midoriya.
Midoriya looked down both ends of the alleyway, hoping that someone, anyone would come to save him. He wanted to fight back, to throw a punch and send Bakugo flying through the wall, but he couldn't. nothing he tried to do worked, he couldn't overpower his carnal fears of Bakugo, watching Bakugo raise his palm as he grips Midoriya's shoulder, throwing him to the ground on his hands and knees.
Bakugo raised his hand, his palm crackling with sparks. "Goodbye Deku" Bakugo said.
Midoriya looked to his left, hearing footsteps as his tear filled eyes focused, seeing the outline of Jiro, panting softly as she looked at Bakugo hovering over Midoriya.
"Kyoka" Midoriya muttered, a smile covering his features, before his ears rang to the sound of a loud, concentrated explosion, his eyes going black as his head was enveloped in a large explosion of searing light and black smoke.
"IZUKU!" was the last thing Midoriya heard before everything went black.
Jiro couldn't believe what she was seeing, watching Midoriya go limp as he fell to the floor, a puddle of crimson beginning to surround his charred head.
Jiro screamed in horror, looking up at a wide grinned Bakugo as he looked at Jiro. "Oh hey Lobes, don't worry, the main character is back on top" Bakugo said with a victorious laugh.
Jiro's breathing was shaking, she had to concentrate, or she would suffer the same fate. She had to concentrate, she had to save Izuku.
Jiro charged forwards, a loud battle cry escaping her throat as she jammed one of her earphone jacks into her boot, blasting a soundwave and Bakugo. Bakugo was caught off guard, flying backwards out of the alleyway onto the main streets.
"What's the big idea attacking the next number one hero you damn extra?!" Bakugo shouted, his eyes becoming daggers as his almost happy expression faded to one of anger and annoyance, blasting up to the sky before diving back down onto Jiro.
Jiro saw this coming, noticing how Bakugo always attacks from above first as she jams her second jack into her other boot, both creating a strong soundwave that forces Bakugo back, launching him into the side of a building as the wall cracks around him. Jiro lets out a shaking breath, the powerful shockwave partly draining her.
Bakugo used his explosions to get himself out of the wall he was imbedded in, hunching over as he gave a cough, looking at Jiro. He launched himself forward, raising one of his grenade gauntlets as he pulled the pin, his arm being thrown back as the ginormous explosion cascaded forward like an avalanche of fire. Jiro let out another shockwave, hoping to dispel the explosion. However it was to much, she managed to weaken the explosion but not enough to stop it, using her arms to cover her face as she took to full force of it.
Jiro flew backwards, crashing into a series of tables and chairs that were placed outside a mock café, groaning as she gripped the edge of a table, helping herself up. She looked up to see Bakugo already on her, raising an open palm towards her. Seeing her opportunity she charged forward, wrapping her arms around his midsection as she tackled him to the ground. She quickly straddled him, stabbing her jacks into both his gauntlets as they soon exploded from the intense vibration coursing through them. Jiro began punching Bakugo, trying to get and kind of solid hit in as Bakugo covered his face, enduring the punishment he was receiving.
Jiro stabbed her jacks into his forearms, Bakugo screaming out in pain as she got a solid hit on his face, hearing a satisfying crack as his nose broke. The pain and rage Bakugo was feeling was enough for him to open a palm and blast Jiro to the floor. Quickly standing up as he covered his nose, looking at his palm to see it full of blood. "You damn fucking extra" Bakugo muttered, walking over to Jiro as his palm lit up with explosions.
Jiro was shaking her head, her ears ringing from the explosion as her side stung, taking most of the impact from the explosion as she looked up, far to late as she saw an open palm. "Join the nerd" Bakugo said, a victorious grin on his face.
The grin was cut short as Bakugo looked down, three pairs of arms wrapping around his mid-section before being forced backwards, the world turning upside down as he quickly saw the floor approaching. He couldn't react fast enough, his face coming into direct impact with the concrete below him as Shoji performs a perfect Suplex on Bakugo, quickly getting to his feet as he gets on top of the explosion quirk user, raising three of his fists before seeing him limp and unconscious.
Shoji gave a relived sigh, his heart pounding as he quickly stood up and got over to Jiro, helping her up. "You good?" Shoji asked.
Jiro smiled up and Shoji "Yeah I'm good" She confirmed.
They both heard groaning, turning around to see a weakened, blood covered Bakugo slowly getting to his feet. Both Jiro and Shoji got into battle stances, ready for round two before watching Bakugo become enveloped in blood, watching that blood harden like crystal as they look passed him, seeing Vlad King and Ectoplasm standing behind him.
"You two alright?" Vlad King asked, Shoji nodded before Jiro ran towards them.
"You have to help Izuku!" Jiro shouted, shaking as the experience had finally ended.
The pro hero's nodded, Jiro running with Ectoplasm as Shoji stayed with Vlad King. They got around the corner, seeing a selection of Ectoplasm clones performing CPR on Midoriya, a deep wound on his neck that had recently been bandaged.
"We can't find a pulse!" one of the clones shouted, panicking slightly as they continued chest compressions.
Jiro fell to her knees, clutching Midoriya's hand as she felt it limp in her own. Jiro looked at his chest, seeing it not move as they clones continued to try to help Midoriya, before coming up with an idea. It was something she always wanted to experiment with, in theory it could work but she had no proof if it would. Jiro took the chance, moving closer and pushing one of the clones away before stabbing her jacks deep into Midoriya's chest, coursing her heartbeat through her jacks and into his.
Ectoplasm stood there speechless, watching Jiro straddle Midoriya as her quick coursed through her jacks, directly into his heart.
"I have a pulse" One of the clones said, lifting him and Jiro onto the nearby stretcher as they were placed on the nearby Buggy that the pro hero's had previously used. Ectoplasm and Jiro got in, quickly driving off as they saw Midnight meeting up with Vlad King, releasing her quirk as Bakugo drifted off into unconsciousness.
Jiro ran into the room, after waiting for hours to finally see Midoriya, he had left surgery and she could finally see him. Turning the corner, seeing Recovery Girl giving Midoriya a series of kisses on his neck, him connected to several IV's as the fluids inside were quickly drained. Her quirk didn't magically heal, it only increased the body's time to recover, so the body needed fuel, and Midoriya's was going through it fast.
"I have no idea how this boy keeps getting into trouble" Recovery girl stated, wiping the sweat off her brow with a medical scrub.
"I-Is he going to be ok?" Jiro said, fear in her eyes.
"He will recover, nasty scar on the back of his neck I'm afraid" Recovery Girl said, moving out of the room. "I've done everything I can for him, now he just needs rest" She said, walking out of the room. Before she did, she gripped Jiro's hand. You got to him before that brute could do any more to him, you saved him. And that trick of yours, using yourself as a human pacemaker, was simply genius" She reassured, Jiro giving a tear filled smile as she nodded.
Jiro walked into the room, sitting down next to Izuku as she held his hand tightly, refusing to let it go.
She stayed like that for an unknown amount of time, hearing the school bell go off multiple times during her stay their before she heard a groan, waking her up from her day dreaming.
"K-kyoka?" Midoriya said weakly, opening his eyes before shutting them in pain, arching his neck.
"Hey mophead" She said with a weak giggle, the tears from before coming back as she heard him speak, confirmation that he was truly ok.
"What happened?" Midoriya asked, confused as to where he was or what happened.
"Oh Izuku!" Jiro said, wrapping her arms around his midsection as she laid her head into his lap, crying softly.
"I-I promised y-you that I-I'd help you, that I would k-keep you away from h-him, im so sorry!" Jiro cried, tears streaming down her face as they were absorbed by the fabric she was clinging to.
Midoriya stroked her hair, using what strength he had left to move her up to hug her properly, Jiro slowly getting onto the medical bed as she was hugged by Midoriya, her head resting on his chest.
"I'm ok Kyoka, I'm ok" Midoriya said, comforting Jiro in her time of need as she clung to him.
"But if s-something worse happened to you" Jiro started.
"But nothing did ok? Look I'm perfectly fine" Midoriya half lied, ignoring the searing pain in his neck.
"H-How can you be so calm?" Jiro asked, still terrified of the idea of losing him.
"Because I have you" Midoriya said with a warm smile. "Kyoka, I think today I almost died, and I didn't get a chance to say what I've wanted to tell you for a little bit now" Midoriya said, hold her closer to him.
"I know we have only known each other for just over a month, maybe longer, but. Kyoka I like you, l-like a lot, it might be love, it might not be, b-but I want to find out" Midoriya said, looking down at Jiro with a deep blush.
Jiro was glued to his every word, her eyes wide as she smiled, moving up to wrap her arms around his neck weakly, having them hang off his shoulders as they avoid his new scar. "I like you too mophead, I like you a lot" Jiro said, smiling wide as she help him close.
Midoriya embraced her, both hugging each other tightly as they didn't say a word for the rest of the visit, just happy to be together, sharing a heartbeat.
