Sarutobi's clan compound

Kugisaki Nobara was not happy, in fact if you asked her she would tell you with all the insults in the world how she detested her current situation.

Her friends and colleagues who were in the same situation would also not understand very well the reason why she hated so much this world in which they were forced to live.

It was not just being in an unknown world where they had no choice but to become child soldiers, no matter how much they sugarcoated this fact, or sent into the world to die.

That is if the Hokage's words were to be trusted of course, but she would never risk verifying this fact.

She was also not so irritated about going back to being an 11 year old girl, although it was somewhat annoying she already knew how to deal with everything, she would even take advantage of her now preteen body to be stronger than she was before, it also helped that since she had grown up she already knew that she would become a beautiful woman so she had no fear or insecurities in those matters.

"We also have this perfume that smells like berries!"

It's like living in that little town all over again...' No, what bothered her the most was having to live again, and unless she finds out otherwise, in a technologically archaic town 'They really don't have anything like vanilla essence?' Tokyo had been wonderful, Kyoto even with all the strange people was unique and without a doubt Akihabara was her favorite city.

Here there was nothing even close to Osaka...

"E-Em, Ku-Kugisaki-san..." Yes, she knew she currently looked distinctly upset, and she knew it wasn't Hinata's or Ino's fault, they were doing everything they could to help her "We don't have to be here if you don't want to..." It wasn't that she didn't want to, after all things like Shampoo or perfume were key things for her on a daily basis.

It was just that she was disappointed, let down and frustrated by all this "It's not that" And she still sounded annoyed, damn it.

She let out a sigh to calm down and looked at her now teammate, Hyuga Hinata "And I also thought I told you not to use honorifics" and offered her a small smile.

Nobara's first opinion of his teammate was how incredibly shy she was and how it would cost her life in the future.

Not only in this world where they were essentially soldiers now, if someone as nervous as Hinata would face a B rank curse in their world she would surely die, no matter how strong she was, at most she would die in a fight against an A rank curse and if they had the slightest ability to think and see patterns she would certainly not defeat her either.

Yes, since they were team Nobara was determined to help this girl.

"I'll take these Ino-san, thank you very much" She grabbed the 2 bottles of rose scented perfume and politely said goodbye to her and they continued walking a bit until they had to separate.

"Yes, they clearly wouldn't become best friends in an afternoon but still Nobara had to admit that she quite enjoyed hanging out with her.

She wasn't loud like Yuuji, or too quiet like Megumi and Inumaki-senpai, nor did she have to be tense around her because she was technically his superior like with Maki-senpai. It was just... refreshing.

"Of course, don't forget to be prepared for whatever Kurenai-sensei is going to do to us tomorrow, I heard around that she specializes in Genjutsu so something like that will be involved" The Hokage had given them a brief summary about his most powerful Jonin, for many that could be suicide since nothing would assure him that they were not spies or would betray him. To her it was a clear message:

"If you leave these will be the ones who will hunt you down."

She was not so proud or presumptuous as to believe that they could defend themselves against approximately 21 high level Jonin, not to mention all the Chunin who would also be chasing them.

"Y-Yes" She nodded slightly and with a smile Hinata took her leave to go home.

The rest of her team was also pretty quiet, except for the Inuzuka boy Kiba who was as loud as a small dog 'Heh, the irony' was with Hinata who was too shy for her own good, Aburame Shino who looked like someone who would sell you drugs in some dark alley in Kyoto was also someone VERY quiet, and obviously Fushiguro Megumi, that little edgy boy looked like he was bored of live.

Nobara returned to their shared apartment that was inside the Sarutobi clan's territories, of course they were currently less of a clan and more of a large family since many members died during the second and third great ninja war.

Almost like the extinct Senju and Uzumaki clans if she did not misremember...

They all had trials to fight tomorrow, she didn't really know if the Jonin could kick them out of the team, especially them for being 'special' cases but whatever might happen tomorrow it was clear that at least she wouldn't leave without a fight.

Training Ground 5

Just like Itadori and Miwa, both Maki and Inumaki had an 'invented' past and in the case of the green-haired girl it was as similar and terrible as Miwa's.

At least the swordswoman girl was a civilian according to her 'past' so although her betrayal was still reprehensible in the standards of the Shinobi world it could be understandable since the horrible life that came with being in Kirigakure was not secret.

But for Maki Zenin it was different, she too must be a 'Kiri traitor' but she was the daughter of a clan there. Of course the Zenin clan did not exist as such in this world but the Genin and Chunin did not know that, hell it was quite likely that except for their current Sensei, Inoichi Yamanaka and Shikaku Nara NOBODY knows that in Kirigakure there is no Zenin clan.

This provoked the weird looks she was getting from her 'classmates' looks she was not used to after so long in Kyoto school. It also didn't help that coincidentally the 3 other members in her team were the current heirs of their respective clans.

"Clouds" At least she consoled herself with the fact that Inumaki was here with her, of course if given a choice she would have preferred Panda or Nobara. You know, someone who could really talk.

"Really can't talk anything that doesn't sound like gibberish?" Asked for the umpteenth time Shikamaru Nara, the 'smart guy' of her team, if he had something to point out about him it was that he seemed to really didn't care that she was a traitor and kept talking to her in a normal way.

Hm, maybe Shikaku talked to him yesterday?

"No Shikamaru, it would be dangerous if he spoke normally" They had already tried to make that happen but Inumaki was totally determined to just keep his vocabulary to simple words.

"Troublesome" Was all he said before going to his other 2 friends.

Inumaki's 'past' was quite a bit easier and less dramatic, simply a ninja who was born into a hidden clan of the Sound village and being born with that seal in his mouth was left out until he decided to come to Konoha to continue his progress as a shinobi.

As it seems that it was not something very rare for Shinobi with strange powers or Kekkei Genkai to come from allied villages no one raised an eyebrow at that, there was nothing very striking besides his cursed technique.

"Very well!" Arrived Asuma-sensei finally to do this test that no one told them about until yesterday "I'm glad to see that everyone arrived on time and that we didn't wait for anyone, it is something scensial in the Shinobi's life to always be on time for their missions or meetings"

Asuma Sarutobi was a cheerful and quite calm man, even carefree at times, they didn't know if Hiruzen told him the truth about them but when they showed up yesterday he didn't say anything bad about them, he even offered them a simple and kind smile.

"I am an enemy shinobi who is escaping with important information from both my village and Konoha, your mission is to prevent him from escaping or to get the information I obtained by force" He lit a cigarette and put it in his mouth before continuing to explain "You will have a time limit of 2 and a half hours, if you do not get the information or defeat me in that time you will all be disqualified. If you get it but one of you did not collaborate in obtaining it that person will also be disqualified, if I defeat you it will be taken as the opponent defeated you and therefore killed you and you will also be disqualified".

He smoked some more and threw the cigarette to the ground, when it hit the ground it released quite a lot of smoke that surrounded the 5 Genin and they could only hear "The exam starts NOW".

Training Ground 32

"Teamwork will begin once I can determine if you will train under my tutelage or if I have to send you back to school" Kurenai spoke to his 5 future pupils "I want to evaluate if you will be able to engage in combat even against a superior opponent" The area was a wasteland that had little grass growing but mostly just dirt and sand "You will face me in turns, the one who manages to win passes the test".

'This is strange' Fushiguro Megumi thought, it wasn't because he wasn't used to fighting alone, most exorcists preferred to hunt curses on their own, it's just that the Hokage drilled into them the importance of 'The Will of Fire' and teamwork.

"I'd like you to go first, Fushiguro Megumi" Kurenai spoke firmly and there the boy became even more suspicious.

It wasn't that he had a problem with going first either, but he had investigated his companions the night before and discovered that they all had something in common.

They were all the current heirs of their clan.

Hinata was the heir of the Hyuga, Kiba of the Inuzuka and Shino of the Aburame. Only he and Nobara were not heirs to any clan.

"Yes..." He dispelled that thought quickly and stepped forward to stand in front of his new sensei. It was a pity that since he had been rejuvenated his power and ability to invoke curses had worsened, but for a mild examination of children he did not need his best invocations "Tokusa no Kage Bojutsu (Shadow Technique of 10 types)" Together his hand "Gyokuken (Jade Wolves)" and his 2 trusty companions came out.

Nobara warned him that Kurenai was an expert in Genjutsu, or in other words illusions, he was never put under an illusion in this world but he hoped that his wolves would be able to track and differentiate between a Genjutsu and reality "You may begin" Megumi jumped back to make space between them and ordered her wolves to attack.

But he quickly realized that his dogs were standing still.

And then he noticed that his companions hadn't moved an inch since he stepped forward either.

"You noticed quickly eh?" He heard Kurenai's voice next to him and everyone started to change.

'Shit...' He was in a Genjutsu this whole time.

Training Ground 17

"Calm down" Kakashi's voice was heard earnestly "I haven't said start yet."

'I-I didn't even see it' Itadori Yuuji thought nervously as he watched Kakashi had a kunai pointed at the back of Naruto's head 'I barely heard it' The pink-haired boy never prided himself on having great reflexes but after training briefly with Todo he had improved quite a bit.

"Well, looks like you guys are ready to come kill me" Sakura looked the most shocked but if she graduated something to fight she must have, Sasuke had his hand tensed, ready to grab whatever was in that bag he had strapped to his leg, he was already in his fighting stance and Miwa had her legs apart and her hand on the pommel of her Katana "So you guys finally believe me."

Naruto smiled and Yuuji himself couldn't help but smile excitedly "You know? I think I'm starting to like you now" Everyone was tense, expectant of what would happen next "Now, we start in One" Clearly he couldn't face him in the open, he didn't know all the abilities that the Shinobi of this world had, let alone Kakashi's capabilities "Two! " 'Teaming up with Miwa?' They hadn't fought together other than against those curses they were sent here, in fact they didn't even face each other much during the school exchange "THREE" So I better jump up and take as much distance as I could from him to hide and from what I see he wasn't the only one with the idea.

"Well, everyone has hidden" Kakashi spoke "The principles of a ninja are to know how to hide properly" Itadori took a quick glance and could see Sasuke hiding on a tree and Sakura hiding in the middle of a bush.

"Come! Let's fight!" ... And Naruto shouting in front of Kakashi, didn't he ever watch movies about ninjas? Stealth is key! "I said fight me!" He shouted again

"...He's an idiot?" "AAAH!" Damn it, he had Miwa next to him and he just realized "Oh, I'm so sorry" Miwa whispered and at the scream Kakashi looked in his direction and had no choice but to come out of his hiding place.

"You guys are a bit out of place though..." How embarrassing...

"The only thing that's out of place is your old-fashioned haircut!" Pff, don't laugh in this situation Yuuji, it was a bad joke on top of that.

Naruto went running towards Kakashi with every intention of punching him 'Should I do the same?' Though he stopped when he reached into his bag 'Now start...' Yeah, maybe I should go too 'Shinobi Arts Lesson #1: Taijutsu' It was definitely an invitation for the 2 of us to fight 'Melee Fighting'.

And now... he took out a book? He was underestimating them. Like Gojo-sensei when I trained with him.

Removing those bells would be harder than it looks, wouldn't it?

Thank you for reading, any comment, recommendation or criticism is welcome as long as it is respectful.

The only exercise I didn't explain was Kakashi's exercise because everyone already knows it, but if you still don't know it's basically to remove 2 bells that he has tied on his belt.
