Chapter 3: A Pale Misery (1/3)

Joel Miller:

There's got to be a way. Joel thought as he kept observing the area that was swooning with the spiked infection. Trying to come up with an idea to distract those infected in order to enter the house. He was being extremely careful, because those infected with spikes on it were more dangerous than regular infected.

"Joel." Suddenly, Joel heard someone calling him from behind. Moving his head to see who it was, only to spot someone he really wanted to see.

"Tommy?" It was his brother, calling him from the other edge of the wall of the house besides the one that he was hiding behind. His immediate response to his brother's presence was to check if the coast was clear before rushing as quietly as he could towards the other house in order to talk to him.

"Hey." Tommy immediately hugged his brother. "Are you okay?"

"Are you okay?" Joel asked that in return as he returned his hug. Then he inspected his arm as soon as they separated.

"I'm fine, but I'm gonna try to avoid any sudden movement." Tommy informed him as he could see the bandage through the rip on his jacket. "Joel, what is going on? I barely avoided those things and where the hell is Maria?!"

Joel immediately wondered something. "Short version, apparently Fox Boy's people do things with the infected in order to make them more dangerous." At least that he assumes. "Maria went to get reinforcements as those things only appear to go down when shot with high caliber weapons."

"Are you serious?" Tommy pulled his revolver out of his jacket. "I sent some of the people around the hospital area to either take shelter or to go to the armory to arm themselves." He explained to him.

Joel then remembered something when he saw his revolver. "Did Ellie give you my revolver?"

"Yes, she also showed me the footage." Tommy confirmed.

"All of them?" Joel decided to ask, mainly to know if Tommy knew what they were up against.

"What do you mean, there was more?" That answered Joel's question. "I only saw the one with a crowded football station."

Joel really didn't have time to explain and moved towards the edge of the wall to go back to observe the area. "It doesn't matter, I think Ellie, Jesse and Dina are trapped inside that house." He is actually really hoping for that to be the case since he didn't see the corpses in the area. "We need to find a way to distract those things to get inside."

Tommy took a look at the area. "I think I have an idea."

Ellie Williams:

"Come on..." Ellie spoke in an unbelievably low voice as she observed the disturbing infection outside through the scope of the rifle. How did they even did this? The auburn haired girl thought as she observed one of the infected closely. She honestly thought being infected couldn't scare her anymore, but she changed her mind. Out of nowhere, she felt something on her shoulder, which caused her to gasp. But it turned out to be Jesse touching her shoulder. "Fuck, Jesse."

"Sorry." He whispered in response. "Did you see anyone?"

She shakes her head in response. "I don't think there's anyone else but us." Ellie sadly informed him as all that she managed to find through the rifle scope, were corpses.

"Dammit..." Jesse said in response, clearly frustrated with the whole situation.

"Look, we need to find-" Ellie was about to say that they needed to find a way to get the hell out of there, because she was extremely worried about Joel and Dina. But before she could say anything, they started to hear a loud noise coming from outside of the house.

"Is that... Music?" Jesse asked as it sounded like some type of classical music was playing outside.

Before Ellie could respond to Jesse's question, she noticed that the spiked infected were moving, apparently following the noise. How the fuck does this things hear without ears? She asked herself in deep confusion as she saw the infected move away from the house.

"Come on..." Jesse told her as now was their chance.

With the rifle at hand, Ellie followed Jesse downstairs. Where they noticed that the others that were with them already left the house and left the two of them behind. Can't say I blame them, I want to get the hell out of here before those things come back. She thought as she reached the end of the stairs.

"Come on." Jesse rushed her as he stood by the door.

Ellie was about to pass through the door frame to go outside, until. "Joel?" She actually saw Joel and Tommy running towards the house.

Jesse moved his head and saw them as well.

It only took three seconds for the brothers to reach the house and pass through the door. Ellie immediately hugged Joel. "Hey, Kiddo." He returned the hug.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, just a little shaken." He admitted, though Ellie couldn't blame him.

"How's your arm?" Jesse asked Tommy.

"Fine, I just need to avoid moving it as much as I can." Tommy responded.

"Come on, we hav-" Joel was about to speak, but before he could finish, he was interrupted by the sound of shooting.

"Is that Maria with reinforcement?" Tommy asked as he heard the gunshots.

Joel listened closely, and the face that he was making, made Ellie worried. "Shut the door." He ordered Jesse.

Jesse obeyed without question and closed the door.

As Ellie also paid attention to the sound of gunshots, she realized that the gunshots sounded like machine guns or something like that and they were too numerous to be theirs. Jackson only had three machine guns in their armory and they usually avoided them.

"Get down." Tommy ordered them, clearly realizing the same thing.

The four of them got down as the gunshots just kept getting louder and closer. One noise in particular stood out, as it was much louder than the others.

Jesse moved past them and signaled them to get upstairs once again, as they could see it through that window without being seen. Ellie, Tommy and Joel followed Jesse upstairs as quietly as possible before they made their way back into that room. Once they were in, Jesse made his way to the window in order to check.

"Ah... Shit..." Jesse cursed as soon as he saw what was outside.

"What?" Tommy asked.

"Did Ellie show you the videos?" Jesse asked.

"Just the last one." Ellie informed him. "Why?"

"Ummm..." He pointed at the window, and a very reluctant Ellie decided to approach it to check.

"Oh man..." Right outside of the house, there was a group of armed guys wearing masks, which she could already tell that they were Fox Boy's people. They all had body armor and were carrying submachine guns. But the worst part of all, was right in the middle of them, it was the big guy called Ghost Head. He's even bigger in person! Ellie thought the man was a giant. He's got to be around seven or eight feet tall! She thought as he towered over all of the other masked guys.

"Oh shit..." Joel whispered as he looked through the window as well.

"Polozhite veshchi Venery obratno v konteyner i ubeyte vsekh vyzhivshikh!" They heard the one called Ghost Head yelled in a very rugged voice. But they couldn't understand what he said because he spoke in another language.

"What the hell?" Tommy finally approached the window. Only to widen his eyes at the sight. "What the hell is that?"

"Long story short, that kid that cut you is probably the least worst of five masked psychopaths." Joel informed his brother.

"Speaking of Fox Boy," Jesse called their attention. "He escaped the cell as soon as we left him alone."

"What?" Joel was visibly frustrated with that.

"Ah shit," Ellie spoke in deep frustration. "Dina went after him."

Fox Boy:

His eyes were closed but he was awake, he was really tired, so he really just wanted to rest. He was on top of something really comfortable, which really made him wanna stay like that. Am I on top of snow? No, I don't feel cold.Am I on a bed?Yes, this is a bed. A really sweet smelling one. I like it... It smells like Dina before I covered her with the spray... Dina...

Deciding to open his eyes. Fox Boy caught the sight of a ceiling. I'm not outside anymore... Looking down on his body, he noticed that he was shirtless as he could see his very pale and heavily scarred chest exposed. He noticed that the knife wasn't on him anymore and that the spot bandaged. "Hmmm..." It was the only sound that Fox Boy made and he inspected the bandaged wound. It will do...

Moving his head around to look at his surroundings, the albino boy noticed that he was inside a room. It was a pretty nice room but it was a bit messy, there were female clothes all over the floor, a closet that was open , a Television with a Video Cassette player on top of it, a drawer next to the bed that had some bandages, a line and needle for stitching and the knife that was used to stab him. Moving out of the bed, Fox Boy could feel the injury on his stomach but he simply ignored the pain and went to look for his belongings. Once he stood up from the bed, Fox Boy noticed a photograph hanging on the wall. Dina was in and was hugging a girl wearing glasses that somewhat looked like her. She must be Dina's sister. Be assumed due to the resemblance. I wonder if she's as nice as Dina. He asked himself.

Then he realized that he was probably inside of Dina's room. But, how did I get here? He asked himself in confusion. Where is my backpack, gun, sword, sweater and coat? He asked himself as she looked around. "Hmmm..." He ended up reaching for the Fairbairn–Sykes fighting knife that was top of the drawer, a double-edged fighting knife resembling a dagger or poignard with a foil grip. By the looke of the blade, it seemed to be made of damascus steel. I better keep this. In close-quarters fighting there is no more deadly weapon than the knife. This knife was designed exclusively for surprise attack and fighting. But then he looked at his state of clothing and realized that he had nowhere to put it. His dark gray cargo pants had multiple pockets on it, but they were more suited for small things and his black Steel-toe combat boots only had room to hide a lockpick. Maybe I can find a sheath for it somewhere. The shirtless boy thought as he placed the knife black on the drawer and stood up from the bed.

It's warm here in comparison to the outside. The albino boy thought as he moved towards the door. Once he passed through the door frame, he noticed that there was another door in front of him and another on his right. The one on his right called the most attention, mainly because he was hearing a sound. Once approached to check what that sound was, the door opened and Dina appeared from behind the door.

"Hi, Dina." Fox Boy waved at her happily as he was glad to see her.

"Hey," Dina greeted him back. "Are you okay?" She asked him as she checked the bandages on him.

"It hurts but I just ignore the pain." He replied to her casually. "Is this your home?" The boy with wavy hair asked in curiosity.

"Yes." She answered his question as she inspected the bandages.

"How did I get here?" That was something that he couldn't understand.

"I dragged you here after you passed out, I took the knife off you and bandaged you as well." Dina clarified as she finished checking up his bandages.

Fox Boy was actually surprised. "Why?" He asked in confusion.

"Why?" She seemed even more confused. "Because you were fucking stabbed by that perverted piece of shit and left to die in the snow!"

"No, actually, the knife didn't stab any of my internal organs and I could have patched myself up after I woke up." Fox Boy corrected Dina, who just made a strange face in response to what he said. "The reason why I'm asking why, is because to my understanding, you were in a hurry to encounter Jesse and Ellie and I simply don't understand why you wasted your time helping me." The masked boy explained his question to the pretty girl.

"It wasn't a waste of time, I just wanted to make sure that you were okay." She explained to him. "But the moment I took your top off, I realized that you were a planet away from being okay." Then she started to highlight his torso for some reason. "How is it even possible for someone to have that number of scars!?" Dina was referring to the number of scars on Fox Boy's torso. Which was filled with slash-scars, stab wound scars, stitch scars, bullet hole scars, burn marks and bite marks. Alongside the fact that everything was extra visible because of his albinism.

"Oh, is because I got each one at a different time." Fox Boy explained as he highly doubt that anyone would survive that amount of damage all at once.

"That's not what I meant." Dina spoke in response, and she seemed upset with something. And she kept looking at his torso. "Goddammit, Fox Boy, how much do you weigh?" She asked as she touched his thin arms.

"Ummm..." The albino boy started to count on his fingers. "One hundred and five pounds... I think..." He hasn't weighted himself in a while but there is a chance that is actually less.

"Oh god..." She placed her hand on her face and seemed to be frustrated with something. "And what is your height?" For some reason, she seemed afraid to ask.

"Ummm..." He straightened up and tried to measure himself up by comparing to DIna's height, by doing that, he saw that he was actually taller than Dina. "I'm... five foot six or seven, I think..." He answered her question before going back to his usual posture. This was not a good way to measure it.

"That means you're really underweight, Fox Boy!" Dina pointed out with a strange tone of voice.

"So?" He didn't understand why it even mattered.

"So-" Before Dina could tell him why, they heard gunshots coming from the outside of the house. "Ah shit." She was visibly worried about the noise.

Fox Boy recognized some of the noise. He could hear the sound of H&K MP5 shots, but he was also hearing the sound of 9mm handguns and .308 Winchester Sniper Rifles being fired. "The Faceless are engaging against your people." He informed her.

Unfortunately, that only made her even more worried.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Suddenly, a familiar laugh was heard by them. "Fools, you never learn! Always try to hang on to the personal jokes that you call life! " He heard Jester yell in french.

Dina was visibly frightened. "W-what d-" Before she could finish her question, a loud explosion was heard by the two of them. "HA!" Fox Boy barely reacted to it, but Dina was startled by it and hugged Fox Boy in fear. "W-what was that!?" The pretty girl that was hugging him asked in deep confusion.

"Oh," He returned the hug before responding. "Jester just fired his Heckler & Koch HK69A1." She's so warm... That was what he was thinking about as he hugged Dina like absolutely nothing was wrong.

"What kind of gun is that?" She asked while making a strange looking face.

"A Grenade Launcher." He answered her.

"Ah shit..." She apparently didn't like what he said.

"FOX BOY!" Suddenly, the albino boy heard him call him from downstairs before they heard the sound of a door being kicked down. "WHERE ARE YOU?" He was inside the house.

Dina immediately separated from the hug and pulled out her Browning Hi-Power while frightened. But Fox Boy knew that it wouldn't help her against Jester. "You have to hide..." He whispered to her.

She stared at him with her brown eyes in response, seeming reluctant to do as he said, but as they heard the sound of Jester's bells approaching them, she decided to do as he said and ran towards the room where Fox Boy just came out from. Leaving him there, in front of the stairs, where Jester was climbing it slowly. Once he reached the top of the stairs, Jester stood in front of Fox Boy, towering over him. Jester was around six foot nine in height, being slender and quite lanky. He was holding his Heckler & Koch HK69A1 but he also had a Kampfpistole in a simplistic holster on his belt, alongside a extendable electric baton in a holster right beside it.

"Something you need?" Fox Boy asked him in French.

Jester then started to move his head left and right. It was something he did every single time he spoke with someone but he never understood why. "The device I gave you, give it back." He was referring to the device that was hidden in his socket, it was a tracking device or something similar.

Fox Boy sat on the floor and removed his boot and his socket in order to grab the device, but the light was off. He handed it to Jester to grab it. Who simply grabbed it from Fox Boy's hand and inspected it.

"It lasted longer than expected." Jester pointed out, probably referring to the battery or the energy source of the device. "But it accomplishes the task." Fox Boy simply put his socket and boot back on and stood up from the floor. "It even did more than expected, like allowing me to overhear that nice conversation that you were having with some of the people that live here." Unknowingly to Jester, Fox Boy widened his eyes after hearing that. "Joel,Ellie,Jesse, Dina and Maria." He spoke their names out loud before he approached his face and stood inches close to Fox Boy's face. "Which one of them did you like the most?" The man dressed in a purple suit asked the shirtless albino boy.

...

...

...

"Dina." Fox Boy answered his question. Dina was the one he liked the most out of them, though Jesse was a close second. She's very nice and very pretty...

"Hahahahaha!" He laughed at Fox Boy's face. "Don't tell me that you have a crush on that girl?" Fox Boy didn't know how to answer. Because he didn't know what a crush meant. "Oh, right I forgot, you don't know what that is." Jester added afterwards. "My advice, just do with her what Ghost Head does with the man he likes and get it over with because pretty girls never belong to anyone anymore."

Fox Boy was startled after hearing that. He would never do such a thing with Dina, especially since it's horrendously painful and the man whom Ghost Head forcefully has intercourse with, almost always commit suicide afterwards.

"But now that we got the advice out of the way." Jester pulled his extendable electric baton for his holster with his left hand and extended. "Reaper already punished you for getting captured, but he probably didn't punish you for giving out information to the enemy."

Fox Boy simply shakes his head to answer his question.

"We already went through this more times than I would have liked." Jester was referring to Fox Boy's inability to lie and his habit of always answering every single question that he receives honestly. "But you were always a slow learner anyway." He pressed the tip into his chest.

"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!" That was the sound that Fox Boy made as Jester electrocuted him with the baton. With the albino boy falling backwards and landing on the floor as soon as it stopped. Once he hit the floor however, he ended up moving his head towards the room that he woke up in, only to see Dina covering her mouth with her eyes widened while she was hiding under the bed.

"People always think blades are the best melee weapons, but they simply don't appreciate the reliability of a baton." He spoke before he electrocuted him again.

"ZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTT!" Fox Boy convulsed on the floor after being shocked again.

"HAHAHAHAHA!" And Jester apparently found it funny. "It's been almost nine years since the last time you wet yourself." He commented.

Without even noticing, Fox Boy actually pee himself, wetting both his pants and the floor accidentally. I hope Dina doesn't get mad. He thought in worry. But then, Jester pressed the top of the baton, into Fox Boy's genitals. "ZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT." That last shock, caused Fox Boy to almost lose consciousness again, but he fought through and managed to keep himself from passing out.

"That's it for today." Jester spoke to the barely conscious boy as he thankfully put his baton away. But once he did, he said. "Under the bed?" He spoke in perfect English. "Really? Were the other cliché places to hide occupied?"

Oh no. Fox Boy thought as he realized that Jester was speaking to Dina.

Sadly, Dina responded by getting out of her hiding spot and pointing her handgun at Jester. "Get the hell away from him, freaking psycho!"

"HAHA!" Jester laughed at what he said. "Now I see why she's your favorite." He told Fox Boy while he stood there unfazed by the gun that was being pointed at him. "Are you gonna shoot me, pretty girl?" He asked Dina as he slowly entered the room.

"Back off!" She yelled at him as he entered.

Jester simply moved his head left and right as he always does. He lifted his hands up in a surrendering fashion, despite holding his Heckler & Koch HK69A1 with his right hand. "Don't hurt me..." Strangely, he made an imitation of Fox Boy's voice. "I'll be your friend..." He expanded his left hand forwards like he was going to shake her hand.

"Watch out..." Fox Boy warned her in a weak voice.

"AAAH!" But it was too late, because a second after Fox Boy spoke, Jester shot her on the left leg.

Jester always keeps a sleeve gun on his left arm, which, as per it's name, was essentially a silenced pistol barrel tied to a person's arm. A modified Welrod Mk II which fired 32 ACP.

Dina fell on the floor as soon as she received the bullet, but immediately tried to aim her handgun at Jester to fire. Only for Jester to close the distance and kick the gun off Dina's hand. "Points for the effort." The slender man praised the pretty girl, before he grabbed her by the shirt, stood her up and pushed her into the wall.

No... Fox Boy wanted to do something, but he couldn't move his body. All he could do was watch as Jester held Dina.

Dina was visibly frightened as Jester held her with his long arm, towering over her, and staring at her by the black holes of his mask. "Are you afraid of me, little girl?" He asked her. But Dina didn't answer, he just stared at her, trying to keep an unfazed expression, but she was failing miserably at. "I'll take this as yes, but it's a little foolish." He approached his face, pressing his mask into her face. "Because I didn't give you any reason to fear me yet, because this is just child's play for me." All that Fox Boy could see was Dina shaking in fear after hearing what he said. "HAHAHAHAHA!" But then Jester just laughed in response. "The look on your face." He commented humorously, before he let go of Dina, and she fell on the floor because of her leg. "Be seeing you." He informed the frightened girl. Jester then turned around and reapproached Fox Boy, who was still laying on the floor, kneeling down, he said. "Since she's your favorite, I'll leave her be for now." Fox Boy was instantly relieved after hearing that. "You should follow my advice and just have your way with her before someone else does." That was his advice to Fox Boy, but he spoke in french.

Then he grabbed Fox Boy's hand and kissed through his mask. Before he stood up and walked towards the stairs in order to make his way out of the house. Leaving the albino boy and the pretty girl alone there.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

A short silence ensured, until he heard the noise of the front door being shut.

"Fuck..." Dina cursed as she held the leg the Jester shot while grunting in pain. "Are you okay?" She asked the motionless boy on the floor.

...

...

...

...

...

"Please say something." Dina requested him.

...

...

...

"Sorry...I...wet...the...floor..." Truth be told, he was struggling to breath, and that was why he didn't respond right away. Honestly, he just wanted to move because the stench of his urine bothers him.

Ellie Williams:

"What the hell are they doing?" Ellie asked Joel.

Joel, Tommy, Jesse and Ellie were all still hidden inside that bedroom inside the house. Ellie and Joel were both looking outside through the window of the room, where they saw the masked individual, moving the spiked infected back into the container. To their shock, the infected seemed to be completely ignoring them, which proves what Fox Boy told them about the thing that keeps the infected from attacking.

"Recapturing them to use some other time." Joel pointed out the obvious.

The ones wearing featureless masks were separated into two groups, one was recapturing the infected while the other was inspecting the houses. The big guy with the armor just stood there, in the middle of the street right in front of the house that they were hiding inside.

"Fuck, what are we going to do?" She asked Joel. "They're going to check this house at any second."

Before Joel could answer her. "Hey..." they heard Tommy calling them. He signalled them to follow him. Both Ellie and Joel looked at one another before following him. They passed through the door and noticed that Jesse was passing through the window of the other bedroom that led to the backyard of the house.

"How are we going to get past them?" Ellie asked Tommy. Getting out of the house was easy, it was getting past the masked guys that was the problem.

"Jesse has a plan, but we need to be quick." Tommy informed them.

"What plan?" Joel asked. "Where is he going?"

"He's going to sneak into one of the other houses, and try to create a distraction." Tommy explained to them.

"Tommy, this is way too risky." It was Ellie's opinion as she looks out of the window, where she sees Jesse quietly trying to sneak into one of the other houses.

"Staying here is even more risky." Joel spoke as he looked through the window. "I don't like this either, but this might be our only option." He told her. "We should pass through the window as well, that big guy with the armor is right in front of the house."

Ellie could only sigh in response. Before she passed through the window first in order to make her way out of the house. If she has to be honest, her frustration reached an all time high. Her arm really hurts and she was very worried about Dina. Fuck, where the hell are you Dina? She thought in deep frustration as she really hoped that her girlfriend was okay. Is she still following that Albino Weirdo? That was her only question as she descended to the backyard of the house. I should have just shot him back in that factory, maybe his people wouldn't have found us. She thought bitterly as she watched Tommy struggle to pass through the window and get down from there due to his injury. Who am I kidding? They clearly already knew where we were by that point. The auburn haired girl thought as she helped Tommy get down. But I really want to shoot that creepy bastard again. Ellie was really angry at Fox Boy, because he was definitely the one that brought these people into Jackson or at least gave them their location.

"Thanks." Tommy whispered to her after he got down.

Then Joel passed through the window and managed to get down with slightly less difficulty than Tommy.

"Now what?" Ellie asked.

Until they heard loud shots coming from the front of the house. Which startled the three of them and they all immediately crouched in response before moving towards the side of the house to see what was going on. Once the three got there, they hid on the edge of the wall only to watch two people being brought to the one called Ghost Head by two of the ones wearing featureless masks. It was a guy and a girl but Ellie couldn't see them properly to recognize them. What are they doing? Ellie asked herself.

Only to receive a very unfortunate answer. As she sees the big guy called Ghost Head, making a gesture. And as soon as he makes that gesture , the guy that brought her to him, smashes her head with the butt of his gun. "Oh man..." Ellie said in a very low voice as she moved her head away to not see the girl getting beaten to death as the one with the featureless mask, hits her over and over and over again. The guy was visibly horrified by it, but before he could properly react to what was going on, the big guy in the armor grabbed him by the hair. "YA vozʹmu etu, prodolzhayu iskatʹ, i khochu, chtoby vse ne ubityye byli vozvrashcheny v konteyner." The one called Ghost Head spoke to them as he dragged the poor guy by the hair away to somewhere. They could hear the guy screaming as he was being dragged away but Ellie still couldn't tell who it was because of the distance.

Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from behind them. Turning around, they saw that it was Jesse, who signalled them to follow him. He moved to the other side of the house, and Joel,Tommy and Ellie followed him quietly. Her friend then signalled them to be quiet, until they heard a loud explosion coming from the opposite direction. Holy shit! Afterwards they see the armed guys with the featureless masks running towards the direction of the explosion to check.

"Move." Joel said as he walked past them.

Fox Boy:

"Are you sure you're okay?" Dina asked him.

Fox Boy simply nodded in response while focusing on what he was doing.

Currently, both Fox Boy and Dina were inside of a bathroom that was next to the room where Fox Boy woke up. Dina was sitting on top of a closed toilet and Fox Boy was sitting on the floor. The reason why is because Fox Boy was actually removing the bullet that Jester shot on Dina's leg for her. "Sssssssss!" She grunted in pain as he used a pair of pliers to remove the bullet from her thigh, it was the only thing available but to her luck, Fox Boy was used to removing bullets with pliers. "Shit..." Dina commented as she saw the bloody bullet on the pliers.

"The damage could have been worse, but the .32 ACP is a small caliber." He informed her as he placed the bloodied bullet on the sink. Then he proceeded to suture for her with the needle that was on top of the sink. Dina simply grabbed Fox Boy's shoulder and gripped hard while grinding her teeth as he sewed her wound. It only took a couple of seconds, once he finished, he wrapped a bandage around her leg. "There..."

Dina simply checked her thigh after he said that. "For someone who just got electrocuted, you did a fantastic job." She praised him with a lovely smile.

But Fox Boy just looked down in response and said. "I'm sorry about the floor." He apologized again.

Dina's smile then disappeared and she simply patted his head. "Don't worry, I don't care about the floor." She affirmed him. "Speaking of which, let me see if your pants dried." The pretty girl then stood up from the toilet, struggling as she was limping a bit because of the leg.

But once she stood up, Fox Boy felt strange again. In truth, Dina had to take off her pants so Fox Boy could tend her leg, she also took off her jacket and she was only wearing gray panties and a dark tank-top. As she walked through the door frame, Fox Boy caught sight of her butt again, and he felt even stranger than before for some reason. Though, he remembers that Dina said that this happens when you find someone attractive and he did find her very attractive. More so because of her current state of clothing.

The albino boy, on the other hand, was wearing a blue bathrobe that Dina landed on him due to his pants and underwear being soaked in his urine. She said that she would dry them, but he doesn't know how she would do that. Standing up from the floor, Fox Boy decided to wash his hands on the sink before he followed Dina, who had entered that room once again.

Inside the bedroom, Dina was in front of the closet, putting on a different pair of jeans that were similar to the ones she wore before, but lighter. Fox Boy stood there, watching her change, until she looked at him with her brown eyes and said. "Your clothes are on top of the bed, your pants and boxers are dry." She said while pointing at the bed.

Fox Boy saw his clothes on top of the bed and also saw his things on top of the drawer besides the bed. His handgun, sword and knife were on top of it and his backpack leaning in front of it on the floor. The albino boy simply moved towards the bed, and grabbed his blue boxers. After the bathrobe, he put on his underwear, but once it was on, he moved his head and noticed that Dina was looking at him. "What?" He asked her.

"Nothing." She looked away with a strange smile on her face.

The confused masked boy didn't understand, so he decided to just focus on putting his clothes back on. He put on his gray cargo pants, his wool sweater, his boots and last but not least, his duffle coat. Once he was fully dressed, Fox Boy adjusted his wavy hair.

"Your hair is really pretty." Dina commented. "Ever considered growing it out?" She grabbed a brown backpack.

"I always wanted to, but Reaper always shaves my head when it gets to medium-length." He replied as he moved to grab the rest of his stuff.

"Like this?" She asked. Fox Boy then moved his head and saw that Dina actually let her hair loose. Unknowingly to Dina because of the mask, Fox Boy's mouth fell open when he saw her with her hair loose.

...

...

...

"Nothing?" Dina asked with an adorable smile.

She's so beautiful... "You reminded me of a painting that I saw once." The paint was of a beautiful woman with the wind blowing on her long hair.

"Ohhh... A painting?" She asked as she tied up her hair with a different hair tie.

"Well..." If he has to be completely honest. "You're much prettier than the woman in the painting."

Dina smiled in response as she finished tying her hair. "I'm actually sure that you're telling the truth, so thank you very much." Then she started to fill her backpack with clothes.

Fox Boy just nodded before he moved to his belongings.

His Walther P38, which was a relatively customised one. The gun was chrome plated, the barrel was turned down and threaded to accept a sound suppressor, but Fox Boy couldn't bring it with him so he will have to find it, the sight was also replaced by a peep sight , it also had a Real ivory grip which wasn't originally there.

His Schianova, with the blade tempered with high carbon steel with a black-oxide coating to give it some rust resistance and practical stealthiness, the grip formed from sturdy milled fiberglass laminate over the thick tang of the blade to create a truly tough and long-lasting full tang hilt assembly with the original basket-hilt removed in order to reduce the unnecessary weight and the pommel was shaped like a bunny head, mostly because Fox Boy loves bunnies.

And his damascus steel Fairbairn–Sykes fighting knife. Technically it wasn't his, but he will hold on to it for now. But there was a problem. "Do you have a sheath that I can use?" He asked Dina.

"Inside the drawer right in front of you." She replied to him as she placed a shirt inside of the backpack.

Fox Boy opened the drawer and saw a black leather sheath inside alongside a bunch of other things that he paid no attention to. The knife fitted nicely inside the sheath, so he decided to place it horizontally on the back of his belt.

Once all of his equipment was in place, Fox Boy grabbed his backpack and placed it on his back. Then he moved his head to the left and noticed Dina picking up the photo that he saw earlier. "Is she your sister?" He asked.

"Yes, her name was Talia." She revealed it to Fox Boy as she removed the photo from the frame. "She died three years ago."

"Oh... Do you have nightmares about it?" He decided to ask her in curiosity.

But Dina simply looked at him in confusion. "Nightmares?"

"I sometimes have nightmares about my brother's death." Fox Boy explained. Thankfully it has been a month since the last time he had any.

Dina simply seemed surprised by what he said. "You had a brother?" She asked.

Fox Boy simply nodded. The pretty girl was about to ask something else to the albino boy, but then, out of nowhere. They heard noises coming from the door and when they moved their heads to look, there were three Faceless. Dina immediately seemed frightened as she saw the three masked men enter her room, but Fox Boy barely reacted.

One of them saw Fox Boy and communicated with him. [Reaper has ordered everyone that belongs to this town to be taken to the center for execution.] The Faceless communicated through sign language.

Fox Boy boy simply made a confused face behind the mask, which none of them actually saw. [Execution?.] He also communicated through sign language.

[The supreme leader made contact an hour ago, he ordered the entire town to be put to the torch and for every single one of it's habitants to be executed.] The Faceless informed Fox Boy.

No, no, no, no, no,no... I don't want them to die, especially Dina... He thought as he processed what the Faceless just told him. Why?! Why?! I don't understand! Normally, they would take the prisoners and use them for different tasks. If you're able bodied, either labor or given to Jester in order to be turned into a Faceless. Elderly, disabled or even past their physical prime become disposable human shields, human bombs, baits for infected. If Venus handpicks them, test subjects for new infected. But the albino boy couldn't understand why they would execute everyone. NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! He thought as he saw one of the Faceless pointing it's H&K MP5 to Dina.

Dina was unarmed, so all that she could do was put her hands up. Then she looked at Fox Boy with a lot of desperation in her eyes. The Faceless, then grabbed her by the arm and Dina had no choice but to follow him. The paralyzed Fox Boy could do nothing but follow them, walking besides the Faceless that was holding Dina while one walked in front of them and another behind them.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

"No."Fox Boy spoke out loud.

As the five of them reached the stairs, Fox Boy delivered a push kick into the back of the Faceless that was in front of them, the kick caused him to fall down the stairs. Immediately afterwards, he pushed the Faceless that was holding Dina into the wall with shoulder that was right next to the door that they just exited from and then he grabbed his H&K MP5 and fired at the Faceless that was behind them, with Dina jumping out of the way before he did. Fox Boy basically unloaded the submachine gun into the Faceless's chest, but the armor protected him from the damage but not from the impact, and he stumbled back into the bathroom door as Fox Boy predicted. Then, Fox Boy pulled the other Faceless from the wall and performed a Side Separation, throwing the Faceless into the stairs and he rolled down just like the first one. But Fox Boy wasted no time and immediately stood up and charged at the last Faceless that just stood up in the bathroom. Before he could fire, Fox Boy grabbed the top of the door frame and kicked the Faceless's head with both of his feet. Which pushed him inside again, and caused him to trip in the toilet and fall backwards into the shower stall. The masked boy then entered the bathroom as well and mounted the masked man, before drawing his knife, pushing his head up and stabbing his throat with the knife. Killing him.

The Faceless's body armor had designed weak points, that only the masked ones had knowledge of it.

"Shit." Dina spoke as he saw him through the door. But then she looked back as they heard steps coming from the stairs. "They're coming back, come on!" She told him as she limped towards the room once again.

Fox Boy simply pulled the knife off the Faceless throat and place back on the sheat before he grabbed the H&K MP5 and both of his grenades from his corpse and followed Dina, tossing the frag grenade on the stairs. Dina simply picked her Browning Hi-Power, before she was startled by the explosion, but Fox Boy just signalled her to follow him. She did without question and he simply opened the door that was on the other side and let Dina enter first.

The room was empty, and probably belonged to Dina's sister. But there was a window there and they could use it to escape. "Come on." Dina told him as she limped towards the window. But Fox Boy instead grabbed Dina and pulled her into the wall. "What are y-" Before Dina could ask him, several bullet came through the door, which belonged to the Faceless that Fox Boy tossed down the stairs. Fox Boy then handed the submachine gun to Dina before he drew his knife and held it with his right hand.

They kicked the door open shortly after. Once the Faceless passed through the door frame, Fox Boy charged at him and stabbed him on the small gap that was on the side of his body armor, three times. Which was one of it's weak points.

The other Faceless, who was on the other side of the door frame, tried to fire at Fox Boy, but it only hit the back of the Faceless that Fox Boy just stabbed. As he used the Faceless as a body shield, Fox Boy drew his handgun and shot the Faceless neck before he pushed him into the other Faceless. And once the one he stabbed fell on the floor, Fox Boy closed the distance and clinched with the last Faceless and immediately shot him on the foot. And the he stomped on the foot that he just shot, three times, which broke the Faceless's balance. Which Fox Boy exploited by performing a larger outer reap, and once he was on the floor, he pressed his gun on the Faceless neck and fired.

...

...

...

...

...

...

"Holy shit..." It was Dina's response to what just happened.

...

...

...

"Are you okay?" Dina asked after he touched his shoulder gently.

Fox Boy was actually paralyzed, as he was still processing what just happened. "Wh-what did I just did?" It wasn't a question.

"Hey," Dina gently moved his face to look at hers. "What you just did, was save my ass." She told him.

"I...I...I..." He was trying to understand. "I didn't want you to be executed like everyone else..." It was the truth.

But the moment he said that, Dina widened her eyes in response. "What are you talking about?" She asked him in confusion.

"He said that the supreme leader ordered the entire town to be put to the torch and for every single one of it's habitants to be executed." Fox Boy informed her while pointing at the Faceless that he stabbed.

"WHAT!?"

Ellie Williams:

"We should join them."

"No."

After making their way out of the area that they were trapped in. Ellie, Joel, Tommy and Jesse, all made their way throughout Jackson in hopes of regrouping with the rest of their people. But after a good amount of running, they saw that that was not going to be possible.

At the moment, they were on the third floor of a building. The building was used for three different things. The first floor was used as a barbershop, the second floor was used to make jewelry and the third floor was used to both store and fix electronic devices. The reason why they were there was because it was a high spot that they could use to actually check their surroundings.

The four of them were on a balcony, watching a shootout from a distance.

The shootout in question was between a group of people from Jackson and those armored guys with the featureless masks. The people from Jackson were inside a library, each firing through the windows while taking cover.

"Why not?!" Ellie asked in confusion.

"Because they're actually trapped." Joel informed her.

Looking at the shootout once again, Ellie actually saw that Joel was telling the truth. The library was completely surrounded.

"They are waiting for something..." Tommy, who was looking through the rifle scope, said. "They're not trying to actually kill them."

"What?" Joel asked his brother.

"The ones with masks aren't trying to hit them, they're just firing to keep our people firing." Tommy explained.

"Why the fuck would they do that?" Ellie asked in deep confusion.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me." Jesse called their attention when he said that. "Look." He pointed towards the distance.

Once Ellie moved her head, a terrifying sight was seen. Oh shit... Walking towards the library, was a woman dressed fully in white. Her outfit appeared to be a robe that resembled an outfit that she saw in a book once. An outfit worn by plague doctors or something like that.

"Jesus Christ, what the hell is that!?" Tommy asked as he saw her through the scope.

"I think her name is Venus, she's one of the special masked people that Fox Boy belongs to." Jesse explained to him as he was the only one that didn't see all the videos.

"Not the woman, I'm talking about that thing behind her!" Tommy clarified.

The three of them then tried to look closely in order to see what exactly Tommy was talking about. Only to catch the sight of the woman called Venus, holding five chains on her hand that were connected to dog collars. But the four dog collars were wrapped around five things that were definitely not dogs.

Joel immediately grabbed the rifle from Tommy to see it.

"N-no fucking way," Ellie was viably frightened. "Is that what I think it is?!"

Joel took almost a minute to respond to her. "It is."

Thanks for reading my story:

Questions and Answers:

So...This is stupid but, could tell us the voice actors of each of the masked ones?

It helps with the immersion of the strory.

Well:

Reaper: David Hayter. (Solid Snake/Naked Snake from Metal Gear.)

Jester: Dave Wittenberg. (Teddie from Persona 4.)

Ghost Head: J.S. Gilbert (Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal.)

Venus: Meredith McCoy (Android 18 from Dragon Ball.)

Fox (Not Fox Boy): Greg Baldwin (Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Aku from Samurai Jack)

Mind if I ask?

What were your major inspirations for Fox Boy?

I had a lot of inspirations but Stuart Pot and Solid Snake were definitely the major ones.

I must say, I already love Fox Boy. So far, he's clearly a much more interesting and likeable character than Abby and I can't wait to see more of his dynamic with Ellie and Dina. Hoping he and Lev become friends.

Also, I f*** loved the Normandies. The idea is super interesting, a group of masked people who are much more organized, better armed and clearly more capable than all of the other groups in The Last of Us. That not only managed to weaponize the infected but invented a way to repel them.

I personally agree with you about the Seraphites and W.L.F.

W.L.F: They're literally just FEDRA just more unlikable and unsympathetic. I mean yeah Fedra was bad but independently of that, they were the f*** government trying to keep law and order in a world that went completely into s*** and were in constant conflict with Hunters, Smugglers and other despicable people and the Fireflies that were no better than them other than the empty claims that they were trying to save humanity.

Seraphites: Just a cliché evil cult that were cartoonisly evil with a bunch of rules and costumes that made no f*** sense most of the time.

I'm glad you like it, I originally planned on making him as a brooding and kind of emo guy. But writing him like that was so annoying that I decided to make him like the way you see in the story now.

I just thought that the idea of this kind of group would be interesting.

W.L.F: It's kind of hilarious that the game tries to make us feel bad for killing them as Ellie, completely ignoring the fact that they were the ones that constantly shot her on sight and were pieces of shit even when she was restrained, and worse part, it's kind of trying to shove the narrative that Ellie killed a bunch of innocent people, making her revenge worse than Abby's. In reality, she killed a bunch of pieces of shit in self-defense that probably murdered a bunch of innocent people that were just looking for shelter [Trespassers will be shot on sight, kind of says everything].

Seraphites: Most of the time? It made no fucking sense at any time since they were introduced.

So Cedric really is a traitor after all, not that big of a surprise. Wonder if he will actually leave alive if Jackson people or perhaps Tommy might snip him out. Of course, it might be he who makes it to Seattle and tells Isaac Dixon about Joel being Jackson, and then Isaac tells Abby.

Fox Boy got stabbed, and is now being treated by Dina. It is going to tkae a team effort to get him to turn from the Normandies. Fox Boy being cared for Dina followed by Ellie and Jesse in such a manner, is not something he experienced with the Normandies. People that actually care about him, rather than a militant army who consider him nothing more than a little piece of hardware that can be cast away at anytime which the stabbing in this chapter made clear.

Dina was the girl that Jesse was with in the opening that Fox Boy mentioned. What else could've got Ellie drunk and upset when she kissed Fox Boy. I think Fox Boy might have a role in their reconciliation.

Seeing the sneak peek means that Fox Boy took off his mask, but has scares all over his body. Dina will want to treat and heal those the best she can no doubt. Which may make Fox Boy care about her and Ellie even more I'm sure.

I wouldn't call him a traitor, just a pathetic coward that would do anything to save his own skin. My friend, that explosion literally attracted every single infected on the area towards Jackson, trust me, Reaper letting him go was not a mercy.

Let's just say, when Fox Boy is forced to choose in between the two of them. The choice becomes obvious, especially when one is trying to kill the other.

She becomes overwhelmed with too many revelations at once. He will accidentally cause their reconciliation.

Fox Boy's body is filled with slash-scars, stab wound scars, stitch scars, bullet hole scars, burn marks and bite marks. Alongside the fact that Fox Boy is pretty underweight being actually thinner than Ellie and Dina, which make his scars even more visible than they already are due to his albinism.

Wow, this chapter is even more interesting. Makes me want to read the next chapter even more.
-Last chapter, I think it will be Spiked Walkers like in The Walking Dead, don't think you will use iron maiden(re4).
-In this chapter we learn that the normandy has a lot of military resources and high-level personnel. Should be above all the factions in the Last of us 2, should be close to NERO in Day gone.
-The moment between Fox Boy and Dina was lovely, it's a pity that Ellie wasn't in this situation. Otherwise we'd have Ellie jealous of Dina.
-I understand that Cedric is afraid to die. But his actions were bad. I don't think Reaper would let him go so easily.
-How does normandy use their prisoners? Take it for labor, use it as a human shield. or take it for a test
If we didn't meet today good afternoon good evening and good ning too

I'm glad to hear that.

They're actually a mash-up of the two, their appearance does resemble the Regenerators of RE4 (Except that their skin is hardened instead of regenerating) but the spikes on their bodies are arranged in similar fashion to the Spiked Walkers from The Walking Dead. (The spikes being hammered all over their bodies.)

NERO was one of my inspirations for the Normandies.

Ellie wouldn't get jealous of him, she's actually weirded out of how easily the two became close.

My friend, Cedric is a overweight coward, that was easily the most incompetent patrolman in Jackson and he's the type of person that depends on other people to survive. And let's just say that... the explosion and guns fired probably didn't went unnoticed by the infected outside of Jackson.

All three of them.

Obrigado pelo capítulo incrível Autor-San!
Eu amo essa Fanfic por favor não pare de atualizar.

De nada! É na verdade Mrtyrant-San!

Fico contente e não se preocupe, eu não planejo parar de atualizar.

Fique atento, para of próximo capítulo.

So first with the spikers interesting that Venus some how made the infected skins tougher also like that aside from that they are just infected that have had spikes hammered onto them haha

Now while everything was going to shit I did love how casual Fox Boy was about it all still

I also like how he reacted to finding out his own attraction to Dina and his admiration for her ass as being like oh I'm attracted to you neat

So when that piece of shit Cedric stabbed Fox I was hoping he'd either rip the blade out his hand and stab him in turn with it or stay standing after he got stabbed still standing for a minute ain't to bad

Now with Reaper while I now kinda hope Reaper cares for Fox Boy the most as far as they can care about someone else not even because say Reaper was close with old Fox it's just that Reaper admires the fact Fox Boy just won't die and is nigh on already as capable as old Fox despite the years difference between them

Okay when it comes to Fox Boy and things like Weed and drinking the not caring much for alcohol has been established but when taking weed can he also not be a "lightweight" and he just comments something like huh feel kinda pleasant neat haha

Ah so Dina and Ellie are going to split for a time because she fucked Jesse

While Dina was 1 million times smarter than Mel still hope she's not pregnant

Think I threw up a little when I read Fox would have to work with Abby haha but seriously hope after they deal with the thing before she knows what hit her Abby has been stabbed a few times by Fox

They're just one of her experiments.

It has been the most pleasant invasion for Fox Boy, at least in comparison to all the other.

Sadly, when Fox Boy does the same thing with Ellie however, she's creeped out and immediately insults him.

My friend, Fox Boy got punched in the stomach by a guy with the size and strength comparable to the Mountain, and then he got stabbed there as well, him standing for a minute after the amount of damage he took is already impressive enough.

He has a twisted type of tough love towards Fox Boy, trust me, the reason why Fox Boy survives everything that it's thrown at him, is because of Reaper intense training. And he's the only one of the masked ones that knows what Fox Boy is actually capable of. (They're relationship is loosely based on Big Boss and Solid Snake dynamic in the Metal Gear Series.)

Fox Boy did enjoyed smoking weed but, he enjoyed what he did with Ellie and Dina while high much more...

Kind...

1 Billion times actually. (To some clarification, JJ will probably appear but ... As a blond haired, blue eyed and fair skinned baby with Ellie actually participating on his conception.)

Let's just say, Fox Boy and Abby will be forced to team up for a short period of time, but their relationship is beyond terrible because...

{

Fox Boy: Are you and Owen a couple?

Abby: No. (Drinks some water) We used to be a couple but we split up and he started to date Mel.

Fox Boy: Oh. (Making a castle of cards) Was it because you're ugly?

Abby: (Widened her eyes) What did you say!?"

Fox Boy: Was it because you're ugly? Mel is prettier than you, and nicer too. (Finished the castle of cards and smiled) But I think you're ugly mainly because of your physique, since it's completely disproportional to your hea-

Abby: (Grabbed him by his sweater.) Say that shit again!

Fox Boy: I think is you're ugly mainly because of your physique, since it's completely disproportional to your head, but that's probably an side effect of the expired anabolic steroids that Owen said you and the others took to inc- (Gets pushed and falls on top of table completely destroying his castle of cards.)

Lev: (Points his bow at Abby) Get away from him!

Abby: (Sigh) Fucking weirdo...(Storms off of the room)

Fox Boy: (Sits up while confused.) Oww... (Sad because of his castle of cards being destroyed.)

Lev: (Kneels down and starts to rebuild it for him.) I think there are more cards over there, wanna try to make it bigger?

Fox Boy: (Smiles and joins him) Yes!

}

Before you ask... The moment Abby gets violent with him, she'll see that muscles mean nothing against skill in a fight.
