Chapter 41

Target Acquired,

The Plan (Part IV)

That night

The flight to DC is uneventful. Chuck and Sarah decide to rest. They leave HM to fly the plane. He invites Gretchen into the cockpit to keep him company. Arriving in DC, they're met at the airport by a White House limo.

As they depart the craft, Chuck stops, "Standby HM, we should be back in a few days." They proceed across the hangar to a waiting limo.

"Mr. Bartowski, Ms. Walker, I'm Agent Honey West. I'll be your Driver. The President has set his morning aside to see you. We'll be bypassing security. Ms. Fager it's such a nice day General Beckman thought you might like breakfast in the Rose Garden." She opens the door Chuck, helps Sarah and Gretchen in.

Chuck closes the door, "Agent West, why are we being separated?"

"I'm sorry Sir, I'm sure I don't know. Perhaps you can ask the General."

Chuck climbs in the limo, he's clearly pissed. Sarah takes his hand. "Hon, what's the problem?"

"I asked her why we're being separated. She didn't know why. I don't like it."

Gretchen can see that she's the cause of Chuck's consternation. "Chuck it's okay, I made my bed. I'm okay lying in it. Breakfast in the White House Rose Garden isn't too shabby."

"Thanks for being understanding Gretchen, but I'll be taking this up with Beckman."

"Chuck, don't. Meeting the President doesn't even come close to working in the field with you. Let it go."

Sarah kisses his cheek, "Stay calm Baby, everything will work out. Gretchen is family now. Nothing can change that."

Gretchen smiles, "Listen to your wife, she's a smart lady."

The limo pulls into the White House garage. Agent West opens the door. "I hope you'll forgive the garage entrance Sir. The General thought an entry out of the public eye might be best. Ms. Fager this is Secret Service Agent West, James West, no relation. With your permission he'll be your escort to the Rose garden."

Gretchen eyes the Agent, she takes in his solid build. His jacket can't hide how well muscled he is. She stares at his piercing blue eyes and sweet smile. She slides her arm into his, "Agent West, may I call you Jim, You have all kinds of permission. I hope you like tea. See you guys later. Don't hurry on my account." As they walk off Sarah hears her ask. "Tell me Agent West, do you like cats?"

Sarah shakes her head, "I think Gretchen is channeling Carina." Chuck laughs.

Agent West points toward the door, "If you'll follow me folks, The President is waiting."

Chuck is in awe as they walk through the halls of the West Wing, "Hon, we're in the White House."

Sarah smiles, "It is special. Your first time?"

"You've been here before?"

"Remember I told you. I served on a protection detail. I've been here a few times. But never as a guest."

A door opens and the couple are escorted into a room. Chuck's eyes go wide, "Holy shit, this is the oval office."

Joyce crosses the room and throws her arms around Sarah. "Sarah, Chuck, I'm so happy to see you again." She let's go of Sarah and hugs Chuck.

The President gets up from his chair. He hugs Sarah and grabs Chuck's hand. "Good to see you again. I know you and the General have to get going, but there's no way I was going to let you leave DC without saying hi."

Beckman gets up, "If you have a few minutes Mr. President. I'd like Chuck to give you a rundown of the operation. I believe the First Lady has plans for Sarah."

Joyce grabs Sarah's hand, "Damn straight. Come on Honey, let me show you where you'll be getting married to that beautiful man." Sarah laughs as she's dragged out the door.

Frank invites Chuck to have a seat and he explains the basics of the plan to the President. "So that's our goal Frank. I appreciate you lending General Beckman to us. It makes things much easier to manage."

"I gotta tell you Chuck I'll be glad to get out into the field for a while. I've been having nightmares about being tied up with red and blue ties and force-fed bullshit."

Frank Laughs, "Come on Diane, you know you love playing with their heads. Chuck, she's amazing. She gets more done in ten minutes then I can in an afternoon of cajoling. The intelligence services respect the hell out of her, and the politicians are afraid of what she knows. How's General Casey doing? Diane remind me to reach out to him."

Chuck laughs. "Yep, that's our General, she used to scare the crap out of me. Casey is doing well. He's keeping busy at work and enjoying his grandsons at home."

Beckman scowls and with a mean tone, "What do you mean used to? You're still just an asset to me." She ends with a smile.

"Tell me Chuck, were you and that young lady you sent to look at our servers able to figure out who attacked us? By the way my cyber people were very impressed with her. So was I."

"Frank, Maggie, and I went over her findings. Based on what she did and what she showed me I'm baffled. I don't think I could have gotten in and out so clean. She found nothing shecould use to point to anyone. The good news is that based on the info she brought back I've developed what I believe will make your servers impenetrable. I set it up on my servers and sent Maggie to break in, she couldn't. As soon as we get those contracts finalized Maggie will be leading a team to install the updates. With me overseeing of course. We'll be assembling that team as soon as we have financing. I'll get a list to you for vetting after we vet them. I'd like to have one of my staff join your team so that you always have a quick connection to me."

"Sounds like a good plan. How are the Drs. Woodcomb doing? I'm hoping to get a chance to chat with Ellie at the wedding."

"We spoke with them last night, they're doing well. They'll be coming to visit with us soon to do some house hunting. We're looking forward to them moving near us again. I'm sure she'll be thrilled to talk with you. She was shocked and honored that you knew her work."

Sarah and Joyce walk back into the room. "Chuck the chapel is gorgeous. Frank how can we ever thank you."

Frank gets up and hugs Sarah, "Thank me? Hell the U.S. should be giving you the whole damn White House for what you've done. Look I really need to get going. Joyce will walk you out. Take care of yourselves. Make sure I get my advisor back in one piece. You take that piece of crap off the streets. People like him make all Americans look bad."

Chucks stands and shakes The Presidents hand. "Frank, we appreciated the awards you sent us."

Frank drops his hand and hugs him. "Chuck, I wish I could do more. You people are true heroes. I'm going to make sure that someday the people of the free world will know what you've done for them. Be well." The President leaves the Oval Office.

Joyce sighs, "I guess I have to let you go, come on I'll walk you out." The group is quiet as they walk to the garage. Gretchen is waiting for them at the limo. Sarah runs over and pulls her to the group. "Joyce, I want you to meet Gretchen Fager, she was my partner in my early agency days. She works with us at CI now. She's also one of my bridesmaids. Gretchen this is the First Lady."

Joyce offers her hand, "Pleasure to meet you Ms. Fager. I was informed that Chuck was upset that you weren't given the chance to meet the President. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to establish your clearance. As a matter of fact, I'm not supposed to be talking to you right now. But if Sarah clears you that's good enough for me. She speaks highly of you."

Chuck nudges Sarah, "Didn't you tell me to let it go?" Sarah shrugs

Gretchen shakes her hand. "Thank you, Ma'am. I appreciate you taking that risk. I would never do anything that would embarrass Sarah, or Chuck. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Sarah tells me that you'll be the one directly responsible for covering their backs on this mission. That tells me a great deal about you. Cover them well. Bring my friends back safely."

"You have my word Ma'am, whatever it takes."

Beckman signals Agent West to open the car door. "Okay folks time to go." Sarah and Chuck hug Joyce goodbye. As they climb in the car Gretchen hands a piece of paper to Agent James West. "Here's my number give me a call if you make it to the west coast." The agent smiles and nods.

Sitting in the car across from Chuck and Sarah, Gretchen stares at them hard. Chuck looks at her puzzled, "Is there a problem Gretchen?"

"I can't believe you did that for me. I hope it doesn't cause any trouble."

Beckman is incensed, "I can't believe you did that either. It definitely caused trouble. Right now, FLOTUS is catching an earful from the Secret Service." Beckman lets out a rush of breath. "I expect that kind of nonsense from him, but Sarah you know better."

Gretchen tilts her head and puts on a coy smile, "Sarah, were you… improvising?"

Sarah takes in a deep breath. "Chuck, are going to just sit there? They're attacking your wife and calling you a bad influence."

Chuck shrugs, "You did pull a Carina and I am a bad influence. What can I say?"

Sarah looks at all of them, "Fine, I was improvising. Personally, I think you're a great influence. I stood up for my friend. It's not like she won't be meeting them soon anyway." She stops and thinks for a moment. "Crap, I'm a Bartowski."

The tension is broken, and the vehicle is filled with laughter.

Arriving at the airport the limo pulls into a hangar where a jumbo jet is parked. Chuck exclaims, "Holy Cow, that's Air Force One."

Beckman shakes her head, "Negative Chuck it's only Air Force one if the President is on board. For now, it's a plane filled with diplomats. Frank wanted you to be comfortable."

Gretchen asks Sarah, "Who's Frank?"

Sarah laughs, She just told you it's the President's plane, that's his name."

"You call the President, Frank?"

"What else would we call him, that's his name."

Leaving the limo and crossing over they're greeted by an Air Force officer. He salutes, "Welcome General, we're ready to takeoff as soon as you give us the word."

Beckman returns the salute, "Thank you Colonel, we'll be departing as soon as my guests and their gear are secure."

The team climbs the stairway following behind the pilot. He points as he moves through the craft. "As you know General, sleeping quarters for you and your guests are located aft. Your team arrived a while ago. They got their gear stowed and are waiting for you in the conference room."

"Well done, Colonel. Get us in the air ASAP. What's our flight time?"

"Approximately ten hours Ma'am. We should be touching down by 0200 hours, local time. The cars you ordered will be waiting for you in the hangar." The pilot heads forward to the cockpit to prepare for takeoff.

Beckman leads the way, "Follow me, your backup is down this way."

She opens the door and immediately a voice yells out, "Attention on deck." The six men in the room pop tall.

Beckman waves her hands, "As you were, be seated."

Sarah moves in behind Beckman, "Negative on that sitting. Not till I get some hugs."

Someone cries out, "Holy shit, it's the Blonde Terror." Sarah laughs. The men rush towards the door and hugs and handshakes are shared all around.

Chuck looks around, "Hey! Where's Seeley?"

The man he knew as Echo two steps up, "I'm sorry Colonel, I thought sure he would have reached out to you. Echo one, put in his papers. I'm Echo One now. Name's Gordon, Artemis Gordon, my friends call me Artie."

Chuck shakes his hand. "Nice to see you again, Artie. However, it's not Colonel anymore. My friends call me Chuck. This is our partner, Gretchen. Feel free to call her The Red Terror. I assure you she won't mind."

The room laughs as Gretchen smacks his arm. "Chuck stop it, you're embarrassing me in front of all these hot men… I mean sailors."

Chuck whispers, "Do I have to be worried Carina?"

She whispers back, "Not at all, just having a little fun Boss, and the name is still Gretchen."

There's a knock at the door. "Ma'am we're being pushed back now. We should be in the air in fifteen minutes. Would you and your guests mind, taking seats and buckling in?"

"Come on folks time to take a seat. We'll start the briefing as soon as we're in the air at cruising altitude."

The plane rumbles down the runway and as soon as it's in the air and leveled off a steward walks up the aisle. She bends and speaks quietly to Beckman.

Beckman stands up, "Anybody hungry?"

The Seals all yell out, "Hell yeah. Where's the chow?"

Beckman laughs and speaks to the steward, "I guess they're hungry."

The steward smiles, "Yes Ma'am, would the dining room be okay?"

"That's fine. Gentlemen let me remind you that you're on The Presidents plane. A little decorum please. Follow me, the chow is this way."

She leads them to the dining room. As they get close Sarah sniffs the air, "Wait, I know that smell, That's Sizzling Shrimp… wait there's something else." She sniffs the air as she follows Beckman. Beckman opens the door to the dining room. The table is covered in food. Sizzling Shrimp, dumplings, Burritos, and Veggie pizzas, no olives.

Sarah turns to Chuck, "Hon, this can't be a coincidence."

The men fall into the room and stand by their seats waiting for the General to sit. She sits down and everyone follows her lead. A man enters carrying a platter of steaks still sizzling. He's followed by stewards carrying platters of Baked potatoes and veggies. "Hello folks, see anything you like?"

Sarah screams, "Julian, I knew it."

Echo Six (the new guy) calls out, "Hey cooky, how about giving up those steaks."

Julian takes his attention off of Sarah. "Petty Officer, do I need to send you back to boot camp to learn how to talk to a Master Chief? On your feet son." Six jumps up. "I want to thank you for volunteering for Kitchen duty, we have lots of greasy pans that need scrubbing. I'll let you eat. See me in the galley in twenty minutes. Distract me from getting a hug from my friend again and I'll have you cleaning this craft from stem to stern… with a toothbrush. Am I clear."

The sailor yells out, "AYE, AYE Master Chief, I read you loud and clear."

Julian places the platter down in front of Beckman and walks over to Sarah to get his hug. Beckman takes a steak and passes the platter. Chuck hugs Julian, "It's so good to see you. It's like old home week."

"It's good to see you folks too, eat while it's hot. It's a long flight we'll have plenty of time to chat."

On his way to the galley. "Echo One, get your people in line or you'll be doing some hands-on supervising. If I hear that any of you yahoos were disrespectful to these ladies in any way, you'll be crying for your mommies to save you."

In chorus, "Aye, Aye Master Chief."

Echo Six wolfs his food down and disappears into the galley.

After dinner the Group goes into the conference room where Chuck and Sarah lay out the mission. After questions are answered and kinks ironed out. The one remaining issue is that Gretchen will have to park the car a few blocks away and race back to the house. Chuck assures her it will all work out. He suggests that he has a solution for that in mind. Beckman frees everyone to relax. Chuck and Sarah get to have their chat with Julian. Then they head to their berth to rest. Gretchen stays in the conference room enjoying the attention from the sailors.

They lie down and Chuck takes Sarah in his arms. "How ya doin Hon?"

"I feel so much better surrounded by people we know. But I won't lie to you, I'm nervous. This guy had a lot of power over me. Plus, I'm carrying a lot of hurt and anger towards him. I can't afford to screw up, you'll be there. I refuse to put you in danger."

"Hon, I'm sure we'll be fine. You know how to put your emotions aside. You don't have to be scared they'll be there when you need them again. If you haven't figured it out, you taught me that. Plus, In case you haven't noticed I can handle myself."

"You're right, I could use a nap, How about you?"

"I have you in my arms, I'm good."

Sarah sleepily whispers, "Mmmm, you always say the right thing."

The Pilot comes over the intercom. "Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be landing in approximately twenty minutes. We've been ordered to park in the hangar, that will add some time till you can disembark. Please make your way to the seats and buckle your seatbelts for landing."

The jumbo jet lands safely and is pushed into the oversized hangar. The ground crew wheels a stairway to the door. Master Chief Child is standing at the egress. "I've packed a breakfast and some snacks for you and your team General. Come back safe," he looks at Chuck and Sarah, "All of you."

Chuck smiles, "We'll see you in a couple of days Julian. Keep the stove hot, we'll probably come back hungry." Julian nods and smiles.

Echo team carries their gear down and loads it into the SUV parked there. Next to it is a Mercedes Benz sedan. There's a figure in a chauffer's uniform bent over the hood polishing it with a cloth. Gretchen sees him from the top of the stairway, "I thought I was driving. What made you decide to go local?"

Chuck shrugs, "I had another idea. I didn't want you running on that ankle and risk injuring it again."

"But Chuck, who is this guy? How do you know you can trust him?"

Chuck shrugs as they get closer to the Mercedes. "Call it a hunch."

Sarah looks at him, "Hon, what are you up to?"

Chuck puts on an innocent look, "What do you mean Baby? What could I be up to?

Chuck yells at the chauffer, "Hey Fella, I think you missed a spot."

The guy doesn't turn around. He answers in a gruff voice, "Oh yeah! What are ya gonna do about it, steal my best friend?"

Sarah stops and puts her bag on the ground, "Chuck who is this guy?"

The guy answers in that gruff voice again. "None of your business missy."

Sarah grabs the guy by the shoulder, "Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" She pulls the guy around and her hat falls off. Sarah screams "Z! Gretchen, It's Zondra." She wraps her arms around Zondra and hugs her hard. Gretchen joins the group hug and the three of them are talking a mile a minute.

Chuck stands back and watches, enjoying his wife's happiness. Sarah peeks out and sees Chuck smiling. She breaks free and runs at him. She jumps up and wraps her arms and legs around him. She's kissing him over and over. In between kisses. "I love you… I love my husband… I have the best husband ever."

Chuck is laughing his head off. "Okay, okay, I love you too."

Gretchen still hugging Zondra, "Our girl did okay."

Zondra smiles, "Yes, she did, Hard to believe I used to hate that guy. Now he's family. So I hear he kicked your ass too."

Gretchen nods, "Yep, best thing that ever happened to me. There's definitely something special about that guy. He crippled me and I fell in love with him. I mean…ya know… like a brother."

Zondra sighs, "Yeah I get it, me too."

Sarah pulls Chuck over to the other ladies. "How the hell did you manage this?"

Chuck shrugs. "I called my mom and asked her to lend Zondra to Beckman for this mission."

The three women surround Chuck and hug him hard. "Thanks Boss, this is the cherry on top."

"You're welcome, Gretchen. But I did it for me. I wanted Sarah to know that she had the best backup available. Plus, this time Zondra has to stay in the car."

Sarah laughs. Zondra looks at her, "What the hell does that mean?"

From behind them Beckman calls out, "Let's go ladies, load up, we have an asshole to catch."

Sarah grabs her bag and heads towards the boot. "I'll explain in the car, we have a long drive ahead of us."

Chuck walks around to the driver seat, "How about I drive the first half so you can catch up." He gets in the car.

Zondra gives Sarah a dirty look, "Damn you Walker, I want one."

Sarah laughs. Gretchen looks sad, "It's not funny, I want one too."

"Let's get in the car, I can't wait to hear how jealous you are."

The drive to Warsaw is animated as the CATS catch up. Sarah and Gretchen try hard to convince Zondra to come to Burbank. Chuck just smiles and drives, thinking about how much he loves his wife.

About an hour into the drive, Their earpieces crackle. "Overwatch to team, Comm check."

Beckman and Echo team check in one after the other. Chuck smiles, "Good to hear your voice Overwatch, I read you loud and clear."

Sarah waits for an opening, "I have you partner."

Gretchen, "Loud and clear Grandpa." They're all treated to a loud Casey grunt.

Zondra speaks in a sultry voice, "Hi General, Julie says hi." Casey answers with a softer grunt that sounds like a smile.

Arriving in the neighborhood, Zondra parks a few short blocks from Ryker's home. The team waits patiently. They're waiting for word that he's left on his run to get his mail. Hours pass. They snack on the breakfast Master Chief packed for them.

Suddenly the earpieces come alive with Casey's voice. "Overwatch to team, heads up people. Ryker is on the move. He's heading south. Approach from the north is clear."

Chuck sits up and brings his head into the op, "Alright Z, time to drive." The car starts to move. Approaching the home Chuck cues Maggie. "Mags, kill the motion detectors, start the loop."

Maggie announces, "Loop is started, Motion detectors nulled. Changing dial options. Chuck, your phone will alert you if you're detected."

"Good work Maggie, stand by on the retinal scan switch out."

The cars pull up in the driveway. Chuck, Sarah, and Gretchen roll out quickly. Z pulls away, the whole process takes seconds. Chuck looks back and he sees Echo team unloaded as Beckman pulls their SUV away. "Okay team, by the numbers. Five and six, take your positions get hidden. Gretchen get us inside."

Gretchen stays low and approaches the side door. She moves something then picks the locks. She pushes the door open and Chuck, Sarah and the remaining Echo team members rush inside. They close the door and lock it behind them. Gretchen resets the incursion trap and takes up her hidden position.

Once inside Chuck and Sarah deal with the security system. Chuck punches in the passcode. The Echo team members move into the other rooms to provide cover and await their moment. "Okay Maggie do the switch out now."

Sarah approaches the Beethoven bust and waits patiently. Maggie's voice is joyous. "All clear guys, scan accepted, no alerts. I'll continue to monitor. Good luck."

Sarah walks over and hugs Chuck, "I love you." She kisses him and moves off to an adjoining room to wait for Ryker's return.

Kiernan Ryker walks into his living room, confident that he's safe. All of his external break in traps were still intact. He enters his passcode into the panel, but it doesn't respond with the usual chirp. He punches the code in again, still no response.

Chuck reassures him from his comfortable seat, "Don't sweat it Kiernan, I disabled it." Ryker moves his hand to his hip. Chuck warns him, "I wouldn't pull that gun if I were you. It's just the excuse she's looking for. I love this chair by the way. Do you think I could have it once you're gone?"

Ryker stops his hand but allows it to rest on the butt, "Who the hell are you and what the fuck are you doing in my home?"

Chuck is very calm as he introduces himself, "Me, I'm nobody, my name's Chuck."

"Well Chuck, just who the hell are you and is there some reason I shouldn't shoot a nobody who broke into my home?"

Ryker stiffens when he hears a familiar female voice from behind him. "Move that hand another millimeter and it'll be the last thing you ever do. He's not nobody. He's, my husband. He's also the only reason you're still breathing. He made me promise not to kill you."

Ryker moves his hands away from his body. He turns slowly, finding himself staring across the room, into the barrel of Sarah's gun, "Hello Walker, it's been a minute."

Sarah smiles, "Yet, still not long enough. The only thing that I want more, than putting a bullet in your brain, is making that man happy. I'm going to ask you nicely, one time. With two fingers grab your gun by the grip and place it slowly on the floor."

Ryker complies, he grabs his gun by the butt with two fingers and bending slowly, places it on the floor.

Sarah smiles as she holsters her gun, "See that wasn't too hard, now we can talk like reasonable people."

Ryker is confused, "You want to talk?"

Sarah steps closer and without warning kicks Ryker in the middle of his chest. He flies backwards, landing in Chuck's lap. "It wasn't enough the agency turned me into a killer. You had to turn me into a murderer and kidnapper."

Chuck pushes him to his feet, "Gee Kiernan, we haven't been married very long, but even I know better than to piss her off."

Ryker goes into a fighting stance, Sarah smiles, "YESSSS, I've waited a long time to thank you for what you did. Come on Ryker make believe I'm a young agent who doesn't know any better than to trust her handler."

Ryker swings with his right fist, Sarah blocks it, and slaps him hard with her open right palm. "Come on Ryker, don't you want your young impressionable rookie to impress her new father figure?"

Ryker drops and brings his leg around attempting to knock Sarah's feet out from under her. She leaps up avoiding the trip and comes down hard on his ankle. He screams in pain. "I've been working out with my husband. He taught me that little maneuver. He's the best there is."

Sarah reaches her hand out, "Here Ryker, let me help you up, I wouldn't kick a man when he's down, and I have a lot more kicking to do."

Ryker reaches up with his left hand, and grabs Sarah's hand, his right hand moves back between his legs and grabs for the backup weapon on his ankle. Before he can pull it all the way out his face hits the carpet in front of Sarah. The force of Chuck's foot hitting the back of his head, driving him forward. Chuck leans down and grabs the gun. "C'mon Kiernan, that's not cool. I really hate guns. Be nice, okay? Nobody is going to send you into a room against eleven heavily armed gangsters, relax."

Sarah reaches down and grabs Ryker by the hair, "You knew those gangsters were going to kill that couple. You could have stopped it. You let them die. You made their daughter an orphan. Then you sent me in to slaughter them. All so you could have a "retirement fund", GET UP."

Ryker stands slowly his hands out in front of him, "Okay, I used you. I took advantage of a loner who nobody cared about. So why should I be scared, you already said you weren't going to kill me."

"Really Ryker? Really? So where are all the people who care about you? You're surrounded by the people who love me, care about me. Make a wrong move and you're ended." Sarah's right foot comes around and hits Ryker square in the jaw. He falls again, "That was for Leszbi Aldozat, the little girl you orphaned."

Ryker, stands up, he's rocky, struggling to find his balance. Sarah's foot comes around and strikes the other side of his face. Ryker stumbles back into a table, knocking a lamp down shattering it. The bulb sounding like a gunshot when it pops. "That was for the Aldozats that you allowed to die for your greed. GET UP. Come on Ryker, only one more. I promise one more, and we walk out of here, and you'll never see us again."

Ryker is shaky as he stands, his face bloody, he's favoring his injured ankle. Sarah smiles, "See I knew you could do it. She lifts his chin and draws her fist back, as if she is going to hit him in the face. She drops her hand and steps back. She brings her foot up with pile driver force directly into his balls. Ryker screams and falls to his knees.

"That one was for me. Thanks to people like you I learned to trust no one. I'm very lucky to have met the one-man patient enough to teach me that all men, all people, are not like you." She reaches down and lifts his chin so that she can look into his swollen, bloody face, "See that wasn't so bad. I'm keeping my word. You can trust me, that was the last one. We're out of here."

Ryker chokes out the words, as Chuck and Sarah walk toward the door, "I'm going to find you Walker. What I do to you will make this look like a fun day at the park. Then I'm going to find that baby and get what's coming to me."

Sarah Speaks to Chuck quietly, "Go on Hon, I'll meet you outside." She turns around, "Oops, I'm sorry Ryker, did I forget to tell you, the Agency has been looking for you for a while. Seems they don't like what you did any more than I did. Echo Team he's all yours, make him disappear." She eyes the gun Ryker dropped.

Four figures step out of the shadows, four red dots appear on Ryker's forehead, "Walker, wait, we could both be rich."

Sarah smiles, "But Ryker, I'm already rich, and you're already dead. But I do agree, you should get everything you have coming to you." Sarah kicks Rykers gun, it skitters across the floor and lands in front of him.

A man yells "GUN!"

Sarah hears four metallic chugging sounds, and the thud of a body hitting the floor as she steps out the door. Chuck is waiting for her just outside, "Thank you Baby, I know that was hard for you. Thanks for having my back."

Chuck puts his arm around her, "Always New Bartowski, forever and a day. I will always have your back, and your front, and all the good bits in between."

In their ears they hear Casey say "UGH!

Sarah laughs, "You never give up, do you original Bartowski?"

Chuck leans over to give a quick kiss. "On you? Never gonna happen, New Bartowski."

A small figure in a dark suit approaches and joins them as they walk down the driveway to where Zondra and Gretchen are waiting in their rented car. Beckman is smiling, "Thanks for your help tracking down that asshole. The idiot went for his gun. He was surrounded. I can't believe it. He gave Echo no choice. Another threat ended thanks to Team Bartowski. We'll meet you at the airfield, we have some clean up to do."

Sarah smiles as she slides into the back seat of the Mercedes, behind her CAT teammates, followed by Chuck. "Our pleasure General, glad we could help. You'll get our bill in a few days."

Beckman looks at Chuck, "She's joking, right?"

Chuck shrugs as he climbs in the car, "I told you General, I may be a nerd, but even I know that contradicting my wife is a bad idea. We'll see you soon, I hope, for the wedding. Tell me General do you prefer a pink, puffy gown, or lime green?"

Beckman scowls, "Get the hell out of here Bartowskis before I sic Echo Team on you too, go."

Sarah leans her head on Chuck's shoulder as they drive away. "Batman, Will you marry me?"

"It would be my honor Mrs. Batman, but first I want to meet my mother-in-law and daughter who will never know, she's, my daughter."

Gretchen turns to Zondra, "What's this Batman stuff, about? Chuck, has a daughter? Sarah has a mother?"

Zondra laughs, "Ahhh, spies and their secrets."

"Let's get home quick, I can't wait for Mom and Molly to meet the best man in the world, my husband."

A/N: I hope you enjoyed that. I know Sarah did. Was it was worth waiting for. Let me know. Time to get your Tuxes and formal gowns out. Coming soon: Wedding at the White House. (There's still time to take your names off the guest list).
