I apologize a few things needed tending to

Matt and Santana quietly got up and made breakfast, Brittany shuffled into the kitchen a minute later pouring a shot glass of pureed ambrosia to give to Quinn, Santana watched as Brittany used the dropper with Quinn who wrapped her arm around Brittany's waist when she was finished trapping Brittany on the bed. "She likes to cuddle." Matt chuckled bringing out his plate, Santana had hers and Brittany's. "So you work from here and if you need anything call, text, email because I will be at the club today and I will look in on Miss Wilde as well."

"I'll just set up at the coffee table." Santana gestured to it.

After breakfast they took turns taking their showers and getting ready for their day, Matt in a suit and Santana in a button up and jeans, business from the waist up, Brittany was in a new pair of black leggings that Maribel had bought her with a bright yellow oversized t- shirt and a stolen pair of Santana's black socks. Brittany's main work for the day was to make sure Santana ate and napped to regain her strength, Brittany would check in but she knew Mike and Tina would take care of the club and studio. Taking her spot in the over sized chair she sent out her texts and emails to Mike, Tina and Blaine while Santana sat on a cushion at the coffee table going through her work emails. Matt had left the girls with a cup of coffee and a cup of hot chocolate to start their day.

Sipping her coffee Santana glanced at Brittany curled up in her favorite chair poking away at her phone, she wasn't sure if it was a game, texting or emails but Brittany was concentrating on something, she could tell by the wrinkle between her eyebrows. "Sweetie, you okay?"

"Mmm?" Brittany looked up from her phone.

"Is something wrong?" Santana asked.

"No, it's fine Blaine's a worrier." Brittany shook her head. "I own half of the club, Mike and Tina the other half so he tends to think I'm in charge instead of all of us." poking the phone she stood up pointing to the kitchen so she could have some space between her and Santana.

"Brittany, thank goodness..."

"What's going on Blaine?" Brittany leaned against the counter.

"You and Santana aren't here, it's her assistant and just Tina..." he said panicked.

"Santana's taking care of her sister, Quinn's...sick and I'm helping her," Brittany informed him adding "Matt and Tina know what they're doing, let them do their jobs and don't be rude to Tina, she's your boss too."

"But..."

"I mean it Blaine." Brittany scowled hanging up.

"Do I need to have a talk with Bowtie Boy?" Santana seriously asked when Brittany came back in the room.

"No," Brittany shook her head "he'll behave, they just need to keep him busy."

"How's the studio?"

"Mike called a friend of ours and she's covering our beginner classes and Mike's taking the others." Brittany sat back down in the chair. "How's your stuff?"

"Well you know Matt's at your club, David is at Pierce's and Shannon is training your bouncer in self defense, it's a whole class he's in with some of my people who are taking refresher courses and a few new guys."

Brittany tilted her head "I know there's more than that."

"There is." Santana shrugged "Nothing I can't handle by way of email, it's truthfully getting boring, the same things over and over again, I've been doing this for so long nothing really surprises me anymore."

"So why not do something different?" Brittany asked.

"It's all I really know, I mean I did the lawyer thing for a bit, we both did." Santana shrugged.

"What about other things you like?" Brittany asked pulling her feet underneath her in the chair.

"I really don't know." Santana shrugged before adding honestly. "These last couple of decades I've thought about training a replacement and then stepping away from the company and everything for a while, everything is just getting so..." shrugging she let the sentence drop. "It was why Quinn dragged me out that night."

"You did seem tired, still do a little."

"The problem with immortality is when you don't have someone to spend it with it gets lonely, I mean I have Quinn and I love her but she's my sister." Santana looked to the blonde lightly snoring on the pull out bed. "I have a connection with her, but I have one with you too."

"I understand." Brittany nodded.

"I know you do, I heard you talking to my mom, it's times like that I forget how young you are." Santana admitted.

"I just know I'm not whole without you and you're not whole without her, we're like a clover." Brittany said softly.

"Does it bother you? My age I mean." Santana asked.

"Why should it, does it bother you that I'm only 24?" Brittany asked in return.

"Sometimes, but only because I've seen so much and you haven't." Santana said honestly.

"So show me stuff." Brittany smiled. "Show me things you find interesting, that way I can learn more about you."

"That simple huh?" Santana asked touched by Brittany wanting to learn more about her.

"That simple." Brittany promised.

"I'll keep that in mind." Santana nodded sipping her coffee "Can I ask, why is your club manager watching the security cams?"

"I think he's hiding from Rachel and Kurt." Brittany rolled her eyes "Kurt's his ex, I thought they were OTP for sure but they keep having problems, they break up and get back together and it's over stuff they just need to talk about, they just don't talk." Brittany shook her head.

"Promise we'll talk." Santana said softly.

"Always." Brittany nodded.

Standing after a while Santana stretched, it was her normal break time with Quinn "Do you want some more hot chocolate or a water?"

"Water would be fine." Brittany looked up from the book in her hand, she'd done everything she could on her phone, normally she was teaching classes all day, paperwork on breaks from class. Tina had texted her a few times saying Blaine was extremely high strung and sent photos and video to prove it, the girl had eventually sent him on a coffee run.

Santana looked at the land line as it rang, she wasn't expecting anyone, the receptionist only called when someone wanted to be let up "Hello?"

"Ms. Lopez, your food delivery is here."

"I didn't order anything." Santana frowned.

"Mr. Karofsky did, he told us to give you a call when it arrived."

"Fine." Santana muttered "Thank you." before hanging up. "Alright let's see what he ordered." Santana eyed the door as she handed Brittany her water. The knock a few moments later had her at the door opening it, "Hello."

"You must be Santana..."

"Pierce?" Brittany practically leapt out of the chair joining them at the door. "Hi." Brittany smiled. "Santana this is Pierce."

"Oh." she eyed the box in his hand with multiple containers in it. "Please come in."

"I heard from Mike and Tina that Brittany was helping you take care of your sick sister, she sometimes forgets to eat." Pierce said aiming the last part of the statement at Brittany "David suggested I bring you girls some lunch, I made her favorites and some soup for your sister." Pierce glanced around looking for a place to put the box, Santana gestured him to the coffee table, walking with him she moved her laptop out of the way. "I can see why you get along, Brittany's into history and mythology too." he remarked seeing the collection of antique sculptures and other items in the living room. "Have you seen her dance, she's amazing." Pierce boasted as he put the food down. "And she's so smart." Santana grinned at Brittany's blush, Pierce really was like a proud father. "Okay these are for you." Pierce handed Santana a container "And I do hope your sister gets to feeling better soon, she seems a really sweet girl." Pierce said glancing over at the sleeping blonde.

"Thank you." Santana smiled. Brittany smiled walking him to the door, giving him a kiss on the cheek she closed the door locking it.

"Well not how I wanted you to meet Pierce but that was him, he's really sweet."

"He is." Santana agreed. Pulling out what she thought was a menu Santana smiled it was a card, "Quinn, Mr. Pierce has sent you soup and a get well card." Putting the container in her hand down she walked to the pull out bed sitting next to Quinn. Opening the card she smiled again reading it to Quinn, it was the usual get well card but Pierce had personalized, "Quinn, Get better soon, free lunch. Pierce, David and Shannon." Santana chuckled, Pierce had gotten her people to sign the card too.

"We'll have to go when she's up to it." Brittany had already begun unpacking the food.

Santana was pretty sure Brittany had fallen asleep due to boredom, the blonde was curled up in the chair her head resting on her folded arms, covering Brittany up Santana kissed the top of her head. She'd thought Brittany would be a distraction but just knowing she was there made Santana content and focus on her work, rolling her shoulders Santana stretched a little before returning to her laptop. Once Quinn woke up she'd feel better about sitting in the dining room, it didn't matter that she could see the living room and Quinn from the dinning room she didn't want to be that far away from her. Rubbing her forehead as she sat down Santana muttered to herself "Gods we're just as neurotic as the rest of them." no one commented as they were both sleeping but it didn't matter to Santana as she sipped her coffee and started working again.

"How much of a pain in the ass was he today?" Santana asked dumping the pureed ambrosia and cacao into a small glass, the more they could get her to take the faster she would wake up.

"I think he was afraid without you and Brittany there that Tina and I were going to change something." Matt said putting the bag of food on the counter.

"It's the day he first met Kurt." Brittany explained with a sad smile.

"That's what Tina said so we kept him busy, had him do coffee runs and other busy work so hopefully his mind was occupied." Matt understood. "If you need me in the morning call me." Matt kissed Santana's temple before heading out.

"I will, thank you for dinner." Santana promised.

"Thank you for my laptop." Brittany chirped pulling the sandwiches from the bag for her and Santana.

"Anytime." Matt smiled closing the door behind him.

"More work?" Santana asked joining her by the sandwiches.

"Larger screen." Brittany admitted, she carried the sandwiches while Santana had the ambrosia for Quinn. "What movies does she like, we can put one on for her."

"Musicals, I refuse to watch a chick flick if she's not even awake." Santana shook her head sitting next to Quinn, putting the cup and medicine dropper down Santana pulled Quinn partial up onto her lap while Brittany dealt with the film after putting the food on the coffee table. "Alright you are drinking the rest of the glass this time, same thing when we get up in the morning big sister." Brittany picked the movie but stood watching Santana give Quinn the ambrosia, "This is what they gave me when they realized the ambrosia wasn't working as fast as it did on the full Greeks, with the cacao mixed in it's a little bitter" Santana chuckled seeing Quinn's noise wrinkle as she swallowed.

"Does it work the same on Quinn?"

"I don't know but my mom said mix so I mix." Santana admitted giving Quinn more.
