It was a power suit plain and simple, from the heels to the deep red button up Santana wasn't going to go in anything less than her best, it was her best defense. Checking her black suit in the mirror she tugged at the jacket once more frowning "You look fine Santana." Quinn promised from behind her.
Santana smirked seeing Quinn over her shoulder "And you look like a kindergarten teacher."
"I prefer sweet and approachable." Quinn chuckled wrapping her arms around her sister's shoulders in a hug, "Thank you." reaching up Santana squeezed one of Quinn's forearms.
"Always." Santana promised. Like most younger gods Santana wasn't fond of Olympus, the older gods tended to be pompous and arrogant forgetting they were no longer worshiped by the masses but by a few who chose to live the old ways. Santana being of two different sets of gods never seemed to bother the oversexed group, they saw her as one of the many children of Ares, no what bothered the others was how she and Quinn and a group of the younger gods chose to live amongst the mortals.
Taking Quinn's hand the sisters transported themselves the godly way something they rarely did even when getting themselves to Mercedes in Louisiana, Quinn liked to people watch so they tended to fly.
It was quiet where Emma kept her office but the sisters knew the rest of Olympus was a glorified frat party, Hera wasn't about the constant partying like Zeus, so Emma stayed with her. It was a mini mansion, or as Quinn had come to dub the houses on Hera's side of Olympus 'McMasion', clearing her throat Santana poked the doorbell waiting. The woman answering the door wore a simple red skirt with a white button up "She is expecting you." stepping back she gestured down the long hallway to the open office at the end.
Chins up both girls walked in like they owned the place, they knew Hera employed other young gods like themselves and even some demi gods, Hera was more interested in the day to day of the mortals, like Quinn and Santana she held a day job and Emma was with her. "Well, well, well if it isn't the troublesome daughters of Ares." Tall and thin the queen of Olympus smirked as she stood up to greet the duo, like them she chose to wear mortal garb, a blue track suit was her choice "Nice to see you ladies." both women bowed to the older goddess.
"I have a meeting with Emma." Quinn said quietly.
"I know, I do know everything." she smirked glancing at Santana "I expect to meet her soon."
"Is Olympus really a place I should bring my soul mate?" Santana asked dryly.
"He's too drunk to care these days, I am the one in charge up here not that inebriated jackass, I have Dionysus keeping him occupied." she rolled her eyes.
"What's with the trophies?" Santana asked seeing a glass cabinet full of what appeared to be human trophies.
"My girls are 7 time National champions." hands on hips she proudly smirked.
"Isn't that cheating?" Santana asked.
"No, I am not Hera to them, I give them no special powers." she shook her head "I am simply Coach Sue Sylvester but I push them to be the best they can, and they rise to that or they fall."
"I do not mean to be rude but what is it you want from us?" Santana asked.
"Always to the point, I like that about you." Sue smirked. "I want you," she looked at Quinn "to continue to help the mortals find their soul mates, Zeus will do nothing to stop you."
"Are you sure?" Quinn asked uncertain.
"I will handle him." Sue assured her "Now go have your visit with Emma and I will keep this one company." Sue pointed at Santana who was suddenly way more nervous than before.
"Yes Ma'am." Quinn nodded giving Santana's hand a squeeze before following another girl in a red skirt and white button up down another hall.
Gesturing to the seat across from her desk the elder goddess sat "So you have a soul mate, a muse no less." sitting Santana nodded. "Is that it, a nod?" resting her elbows on her desk Sue leaned forward "You don't get to get away with a nod little one."
Swallowing Santana murmured "Her name is Brittany."
"Awe," Sue smirked "one of his, even better. Quit worrying," Sue waved off the look in Santana's eyes "I have no qualms with her or you, I see in you three hope, hope that these children will some day grow and learn to be better than they are better than their parents. Although your mother is a good woman, your father, my son is well he's a... what do the children say these days? Horn dog?" Santana couldn't help but smirk at the great goddess's description. "You are better than him as is your sister and it appears that your niece is following in your footsteps, your whole company is filled with godlings that are trying to be different than their parents to better themselves, the old gods, well some of them" Sue amended "are afraid, they refuse to change with the times. A few have decided to explore this new world we live in and see what it has to offer and what they have to offer, I would like to be able to send them your way."
"Oh." Santana blinked. "Okay."
"Great, expect the first one on Monday morning, if they try to pull shit you call me right away and I will deal with them, it is my reputation after all."
"Yes Ma'am." Santana nodded.
Sue had Santana follow her around while Quinn was in with Emma, "As long as they do not interfere with mortal affairs, I let them have their fun." Sue admitted.
"But what if the mortal asks for something?"
"Depending on what it is I will let them, like Ms. Rose and her daughter, they deserved to be blessed." Santana was surprised by Sue, she didn't know Sue was keeping an eye on her business and mortals that she herself watched over. "They're not greedy, they volunteered at a homeless shelter using her cooking talent to make them more than just a basic meal, so of course I blessed her and her daughter already sang beautifully to the children, I allowed Aretha to give her a her a little boost." Sue shrugged "And what do they do with those gifts?" when Santana opened her mouth Sue chuckled "Rhetorical question. I know after she was hired and could afford it they started a charity to help not just the one shelter but more, and young Miss Rose still sings to the children and they both still volunteer at the mortals holidays. They are genuine good people. And if you tell anyone I said that I will make your life hell, understood?"
"Understood." Santana nodded. "Did you bless Pierce too?"
"Brittany's a sweet kid but no that wasn't me, it was the ancient gods of his people. He seems a nice man, not bright, way too trusting, but nice." Sue nodded to the goddess Athena as they passed her office. "I hear David is working with him." Santana tensed up, the hatred Hera had for Hercules was well known, even amongst the mortals. "Relax kid, I patched things up long ago, I only go after those who have personally wronged me these days, which is why Zeus will not cross me."
"Dave's a good guy."
"I'm working on his mother, mortals are tricky when it comes to love, some accept it for what it is and for others it has to be a certain way. Take this one, hey Becky, come here." Sue yelled out. "Sweet kid but some of the others pick on her, well they don't any longer." Sue's malicious smirk turned into a sweet smile as the young woman joined them, Santana was surprised, Sue was mean to everyone, almost everyone but she was being nice to this mortal teen with downs syndrome. " Sweetie this is Santana I need you to take her and these files," Sue waved over another woman, Santana could tell was a demi god over "these files," Sue took them ignoring the demi god as she handed the files to Becky "back to my office, she is waiting for her sister."
"Yes Coach." Becky smiled.
"Then meet me at the gym, we have to whip these losers into shape." Sue smirked.
"Yes Coach. Follow me." turning Becky headed straight to Sue's office.
"I'll be in touch." Sue called to Santana.
"Yes Ma'am."
