They soon found Pooh and Piglet were hanging over a bridge looking down at a creek, staring at something. "Look, Pooh. Something is floating this way." Piglet said. That something was...a little grey donkey with a tuft of black hair for a mane and a pair of droopy ears to match his...rather gloomy facial expression. A gloomy expression that Pooh would recognize anywhere. "Why, it looks like Eeyore! Hello, Eeyore, if it is you." Pooh greeted cheerfully, happy to see another one of his friends had returned.

When the floating animal came closer, his head rose a little above the water. "Hello, Pooh. Yes, it's me. Could you pull me out? If it's not too much trouble. Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to." he said without a hint of cheer or any delight in his baritone voice.

Sora blinked at the rather depressing behavior of Eeyore and saw him continue to float down the river. "Don't worry, little guy. I've got you!" he said before dashing to the river and making a cannonball dive while plugging his nose and holding his breath with his eyes clamped shut. A splashing noise filled the air... though Sora didn't get as soaked as he thought. One of his eyes opened and he noticed the water barely reached his waist. "Oh. I guess it's not as deep as I thought." Sora said with an awkward chuckle.

As Eeyore drifted closer to him, Sora carefully scooped him then carried him to the edge. Ruby reached out to pull Eeyore back onto dry land then helped Sora climb back up as well. Pooh and Piglet wasted no time coming to check on their friend. "Thank you, Pooh. Thank you, other two people." Eeyore said with that same glum face and tone as he spoke to Sora and Ruby.

"Are you... feeling alright?" Ruby asked with slight concern. He didn't seem very thrilled for someone who was in danger, or someone who was saved from said danger...not that it seemed that dangerous to begin with.

"Hmmm. Well?" Eeyore said pausing with...what Ruby and Sora assumed was contemplation despite the fact his expression looked exactly the same. "Floating along out there, it seemed like something was missing... and something's still missing." As Eeyore tried to figure it out, Piglet went around Eeyore to make sure everything was alright. The small porcine gasped and spoke up in his usual worried tone, "Why, Eeyore's tail is gone! Is that what's missing?"

"Let's see..." Eeyore said as he shifted his head and body to get a better look at his backside. And indeed, being a donkey, he didn't seem to have a tail. "Eyup. Lost it again. Wonder where it went this time." Eeyore's statement left Sora and Ruby baffled. "You lose your tail? Regularly?" the former asked. It wasn't the most bizarre thing they'd experienced or seen thus far on their adventures, but it didn't make it any less bizarre.

"Yeah. It's not much of a tail, though I'm sort of attached to it." Eeyore said in that ever glum tone of his. Ruby couldn't tell if that was meant to be a joke or not, considering that while Eeyore said he was sort of attached to it, it clearly was not attached to him. "But I don't know why anybody'd look for it. Probably won't find it anyway..." Sora and Ruby were a bit off-put by just how deeply Eeyore's gloominess seemed to run. Ruby in particular had a powerful urge to hug the donkey.

Thankfully, the ever cheerful Pooh managed to get them all focused on the task at hand. "Sora, Ruby, why don't we all look for Eeyore's tail?" he suggested. "Of course! Don't you worry, Eeyore. We'll find your tail in no time." she said cheerfully. The distinct sound of flapping wings drew their attention toward Owl who was flying above the water. "Searching from a high place is the quickest way to find it!" he recommended. Sora looked back at him, asking, "Owl, can you fly up high and help us find Eeyore's tail?" The old bird shook his head however and replied with, "Sorry, but my eyes aren't what they used to be. Too much reading, you know?" Of course it couldn't be that easy. "Same might have been said for Blake if she looked at a monitor for a day longer that time before the dance." Ruby mumbled under her breath. Thank goodness Yang managed to get her to stop running herself ragged.

Thankfully, Owl had an idea. "See that swing up there? Take Pooh there." he said, pointing to the rather small rope tied wooden plank swing dangling from a large oak tree branch. "You two are a bit too big for the swing, but Pooh should fit nicely. I'll tell you more when you get there." With that, Owl ascended away from the group toward the large tree. Not having much else in the way of ideas, Sora and Ruby turned to Pooh and gestured him to follow them to the swing.

Together the trio walked across the bridge going over the river and around the hill to the back most part where a more smooth slant was, making it easy to reach the top of the hill and by the swing set connected to the branch of the large tree. Owl landed on the branch and spoke with them. "Now here's what you do. First put Pooh on the swing." Ruby carefully placed the bear onto the seat and Owl spoke again. "Next, get ready to give him a little push."

"Like this?" Sora asked, holding a hand out against one of the ropes attatched to the wooden plank where Pooh sat. Ruby did the same at the one on the other side.

Owl nodded. "Yes. Then you give him a little push."

"What exactly is the point of this?" Ruby asked as they nudged the swing together at the same time.

"The two of you will push the swing and help Pooh go higher. The higher he is, the more he can see. And he'll certainly be able to find Eeyore's tail, easier." Sora was a little uncertain but together he and Ruby worked on pushing the swing. Pooh kept a hold on the ropes beside him but there were moments their timing for each other was off and that affected Pooh in that he didn't swing very high. Owl gave his own input to remedy the problem. "The both of you should try synchronizing your dexterity. Try pushing at the exact moment is level with the ground."

Taking his advice, it was slowly working. Little by little Pooh was gaining more altitude. "See anything Pooh?" Ruby asked as she and Sora continued to swing him. "Hmm. Not yet. Maybe I'm not high enough. Perhaps a bit more?" Pooh said, still holding onto the swing.

With a shared nod, Sora and Ruby swung their friend higher and higher as per his request. Pooh was getting so high now that he was almost able to reach the branch the swing was being tied from. There was also increasing momentum. At their last push, Ruby and Sora might have used too much since Pooh flew right out his seat and high up into the air. "Uhh..." "Oops." What else could they say as they watched the bear sail through the air?

Eventually, gravity took over as Pooh sailed right back down toward what looked to be a tent or a house made out of...sticks? Rabbit and Eeyore were gathered around it, and were in for quite a shock as they were greeted by the sight of a Pooh Bear landing on top of the sticks and making them all crumble. Rabbit was flabbergasted, but Eeyore took it surprisingly in stride. Either that or was too gloomy to be shocked or startled.

As Eeyore lay slumped on the ground, his eyes shifted downward to something that had fallen from the top of his house. "Hm? That looks familiar." he said, looking at a flat piece of cloth with a nail on one end, and a pink bow tied around the other above a tuft of fur matching Eeyore's mane.

As Eeyore stood up, Sora and Ruby came running to the scene of Pooh's impact, their faces full of worry. "Oh my gosh, Pooh we're so sorry! We didn't mean to launch you like that!" Ruby apologized instantly. "Oh, Sora! Ruby! You're just in time. Eeyore found his tail!" Pooh declared cheerfully, not in the least bit put off by his brief moment of swing induced flight. The youths blinked with surprise, but the mention of Eeyore's tail got their attention. "Wow, really? That's great!" Sora said, kneeling down to pick it up. "Think you could help me get it back on? You don't have to of course." Eeyore offered, gloomy as ever. Sora however was more than happy to help as he knelt down, tail in hand, before summoning the Keyblade. "No problem, Eeyore. I'll get it on in no time." he said, leveling the tail with his behind, which Eeyore pushed back helpfully. With a few bumps, as if it were a hammer, Sora used the Keyblade to put Eeyore's tail back on.

"How's it looking?" Pooh asked curiously as Sora stood up, earning a thumbs up from Sora. And as Eeyore gave his tail an experimental swish, it stayed securely on his behind. "It's not much of a tail, but it's mine. Thanks everyone." Gloomy as he was, it was clear Eeyore appreciated what his friends did for him.

"I wish we could put the 100 Acre Wood back the way it was, too!" Pooh said with a hopeful smile. Sora and Ruby, looking to each other with smiles of their own, were of the same mind. Finding those pages was doing exactly what Pooh, and they, hoped it would do. And now, yet another road to another section of the Wood awaited them. "Come on, Pooh. Let's go find the rest of your friends. We're doing great so far." Pooh looked up at Ruby with a cheerful chortle, saying, "Why that's a marvelous idea, Ruby!"

Owl watched from afar with a soft smile as Pooh and the two from beyond their world continued onward. If what he suspected was true, then Pooh's wish for the 100 Acre Wood to return to normal was closer than he realized.
