"Oh yes!" Laurent excitedly murmured as he jotted down a few notes onto some parchment. "That truly is quite fascinating, isn't it? Up until now, I've had absolutely no idea!"

"Um, Laurent?" Ananias asked upon entering into said man's tent and having taken a moment to watch his friend's strange behavior a bit before officially alerting him of his presence. "Has everything been alright with you lately?"

Laurent quickly looked up upon being abruptly interrupted from whatever task it was that he was performing and blinked innocently in Ananias' direction. "Hmm? Why, of course everything has been okay with me lately! Whatever could have encouraged you to ask such a question in the first place?"

"Well," Ananias said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly as he did, "it's just that, a lot of people have been noticing that you've been acting strangely happy for the past few days, and with no real explanation to explain why; and, well, the last time we talked, you were acting pretty strangely then too, so I was just wondering if maybe that may have had something to do with it or not, so I came here to get the answer myself. So... was it, or...?"

"Ah," Laurent said, nodding his head understandingly while holding his chin, "so that's what this is all about." He stood up and gave Ananias a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Well then, I am happy to inform you that yes, our talk from before IS responsible for my most recent behavior!"

Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "R-Really?" he asked.

Laurent nodded. "Indeed, it has!" He then picked up the parchment sitting on his desk and handed it to Ananias to look at. "You see," Laurent explained as Ananias studied the noted that he had given him, "I realized, after our discussion, that I did not particularly practice the art of introspection as much as I would like myself to believe. I realized that I inspected and knew more about the world around me than I did myself, and I opted to change that. Ever since our talk that day, I have been devoting some of my time everyday to looking into myself and learning more about myself!"

Ananias gave Laurent a funny look before incredulously asking, "And that's enough to put you into high spirits everyday?"

Laurent frowned. "Well... yes! I've made so many fascinating discoveries about myself! It's actually quite fascinating! For example," Laurent placed a finger against the bridge if his glasses and lifted them up a bit, "do you realize that instead of fixing my glasses by lifting them up from the bridge, I actually lift them up from the sides, like so?" He then adjusted them from the side to better make his point.

Ananias shrugged indifferently. "I guess," he answered.

"Yes, but why?" Laurent asked. "Wouldn't it be far easier to just adjust the point of equilibrium rather than hoping that it would be fixed by adjusting the side that it was attached to?"

"Um..."

"It was then that I began to hypothesize that, perhaps, I was simply taught to do it that way based on being raised by my mother, who would also adjust them like this, which brings up the fascinating subject of nature vs. nurture. If I were not raised by my mother, would the same habits persist itself upon my life, or would I gain the exact same habit naturally or an entirely new habit based on my new living situation? The possibilities are simply endless!"

"Wow," Ananias deadpanned, "that's pretty deep."

"Yes, it is 'very deep' indeed!" Laurent said excitably. "And I have you to thank for revealing to me such an endless world of knowledge and possibility!" He let out a chuckle. "In all honesty, I was getting a bit bored with the knowledge that was already available to me, so thank you! I'm sure that a subject as open-minded as the one you've introduced to me will keep me from becoming too bored any time soon."

Ananias let out a tiny gasp of surprise. "Um, well, sure, yeah, you're welcome, I guess," he said sheepishly. "I guess I'm a little bit more like my family than I gave myself credit for, making someone else happy and all by introducing them to something new and all."

"Exactly! How seamlessly you connect two different subjects together based on the very idea behind them alone! We could go the entire day with such things!"

Ananias simply raised a hand up in protest. "Yeah, thanks for the offer, but I think I'll pass up on that. You have fun though."

Laurent nodded. "As I wish for you, my friend."

Author's Note: Well, that's it for Laurent's supports. I hope that you all enjoyed them! Next up is Brady, and after that, a paralogue for Ananias' transition into Fates, and then, Fates supports will officially begin! Be patient until then. See you next time!
