"La la la," Selena gleefully sang as she skipped down the castle halls, seemingly without a care in the world and with a small bag of gold in her hands. "It's pay day, it's pay day, now I can shop away-ay."

"Wow," Ananias dully mused as she obliviously passed him by and after hearing her little made-up jingle. "With a little song like that, you almost sound like my mother. ...And my aunts. ...And my nieces. ...And my cousins."

Having heard Ananias verbally react to her jubilant behavior, Selena stopped her carefree skipping in order to confront and set straight her red-headed companion. "Yes, but while your family loves money for the sake of having money, I love money because it allows me to go out and do what I absolutely love!"

Ananias let out a disapprovingly weary sigh. "Shopping?"

Selena nodded excitedly. "Yep!" She then let out a surprised gasp upon realizing the opportunity that was presenting itself to her. "Oh, by the way, can you come with me again? When it comes to people holding my stuff, you're definitely the least annoying!"

Ananias raised an eyebrow incredulously over the fact that Selena had the gall to ask him that after how their last shopping trip together went. "What?" He shook his head for good measure. "No."

Selena irritably frowned. "Um, and why not?" she asked challengingly. "Because let's be honest, it's not like you've got anything better to do."

"I just don't like shopping as much as you do," Ananias simply answered. "That's all."

Selena rolled her eyes at him. "Oh, right," she sarcastically ridiculed. "I'm sorry. I forgot. You're a RESPONSIBLE shopper. You only buy things you need and nothing else."

"What's wrong with that?" Ananias defiantly asked.

"Because it's ridiculous, that's what!" Selena countered. "Are you seriously trying to tell me that you've never once made a recreational buy? That you've only made purchases that you've absolutely needed to make to survive?"

Ananias' eyes widened as he gave Selena a mild look of disbelief as he folded his arms. "So is that what all of those pots are for? Recreational purposes?"

"Maybe they are!" Selena cried. "Maybe I'll put something in them! Maybe I'll paint on them! Maybe I just like collecting them! Ananias, when was the last time you bought anything fun for yourself?"

Ananias simply shrugged. "I don't know," he honestly and nonchalantly answered.

"You don't know?!"

Ananias raised his hands up in an attempt to calm his frustrated friend down. "I was born into a merchant family!" he quickly reasoned. "A merchant family that was always big on saving money! Even if I wanted anything for myself, my family would have just gave it to me and foot my parents with the bill!"

"Wow," Selena sarcastically scoffed as she placed her hands irritably onto her hips, "lucky you."

"Like it ever mattered!" Ananias argued. "Back then, all I ever wanted was to feel like an actual part of the family, not some... some... cosmic anomaly!" Ananias lowered his head defeatedly. "And we both know how that turned out."

"Aw, geez," Selena groaned, immediately feeling guilty over giving Ananias such a hard time and unintentionally forcing him into remembering his unfortunate and pitiable childhood situation. She embarrassingly rubbed her eyes with one of her hands before bending her head back, letting out a frustrated sigh, and saying, "Sorry. I... I didn't mean to..."

"It's alright," Ananias quickly and gently reassured her.

Selena shook her head before shamefully lowering it. "No, no it's not," she quietly insisted. "I was so wrapped up in getting you off my back about my shopping habits that I said something insensitive. Friends shouldn't do that to each other, no matter how much they might annoy each other."

Ananias sighed. "Yeah, well, I shouldn't have made a big deal about how you spent your money either. You were right. It's your money and you deserve to spend it however you like. I shouldn't have been going around trying shame you about it."

Selena lightly blushed as she averted her eyes to the side. "You got that right," she muttered.

The two of them awkwardly stood around for a moment before Ananias asked, "So, you still need someone to help carry your stuff for you? Because I'm free if you want."

"W-What?" Selena gasped, her blush growing ever redder as a result of this suggestion. She shook her head as she once again averted her eyes to the side. "No, of course not! A-After all, you've already admitted that you don't like shopping that much, so it wouldn't be very considerate of me to make you carry my bags for me."

"But you wouldn't be making me," Ananias innocently pointed out. "I'm offering to do it right now."

"Y-Yeah, but only because you feel guilty about saying something insensitive to me!" Selena angrily argued.

"But isn't that why you're -"

"Sh-Shut up!" Selena cried. "I'm shopping alone today, alright?! It's been decided! So just be grateful that you don't have to come along and just drop it, okay?!"

"B-But -"

"I said just drop it!" Selena cried. "Gods!" She then proceeded to run away, leaving a flabbergasted Ananias alone to slowly try to process what had just transpired.

"W-What just happened?" he murmured.

Author's Note #1: The next supports after Selena will be Beruka, followed by Xander, Azura, Flora, Odin, Laslow, Rinkah, Arthur, Silas, Leo, Keaton, and Subaki. Kanna's supports will be like Ophelia's and Soleil's, with Kanna being Odin, Laslow, or Selena's kid and Ananias being an honorary uncle to them. The supports will also be written as if Kanna is a boy, but will be generic enough to fit both genders. Got someone else you want to support with Ananias that isn't on this list yet? Request it. Remember, all Nohr first generation characters, Soliel, Ophelia, Anna, Kanna, Rinkah, Subaki, and Setsuna are allowed to support with him as well and it is a first come, first serve system.

Author's Note #2: The Fire Emblem Warriors poll is now officially up on my profile! Vote for which five characters you want for Ananias to support with from that game the most and, in the end, ten characters will be selected for Ananias to support with, so make your voices heard. Happy voting!
