"Alright," Flora said. "That should be more than enough time." She then walked towards the laundry hanging near the fireplace and gave them a feel, nodding with satisfaction at what she felt, letting out a triumphant hum as she did. "Ah, perfect! Now, not only are Lord Corrin's clothes completely dry, but warm as well!" She then gave the cloth that she was currently holding a smell and let out a satisfied hum. "And they smell absolutely wonderful! It was a good idea to throw some pine cones into the fire." She then began to take her lord's clothes off of the clothes line that she had set up and placed them next to her seat by the fireplace. "Now to fold them." She then began to fold the first of her lord's clothing, but before she got too far into it, stopped once more to feel the warmth of the cloth and take in the wonderful scent that she had placed on them. "My... how wonderfully soft Lord Corrin's clothes are. And what a powerfully relaxing scent too." She could feel her eyes getting heavier and heavier by the second. "N-No! I... I need to focus!" She let out a great, big yawn. "No... sleeping on the job... Flora... You have to...," and with that, she was out like a light.
"Gah!" Flora cried, violently waking up from her deep and peaceful slumber. She looked around wildly before getting her bearings. "Oh gods, did I... did I... fall asleep?"
"Yep," a familiarly monotonous and disinterested voice said. "You sure did."
Flora let out a surprised gasp before wildly looking towards the owner of the said voice, who had situated himself besides her and was calmly folding the laundry that she had been planning on folding. "Ananias?!"
Ananias briefly stopped what he was doing to nod towards her. "Hey."
She stared at him in disbelief for a moment before quickly and anxiously looking around the room. "D-Does anyone else know about this?"
Ananias shook his head as he continued to fold Corrin's laundry. "Nope. As far as I know, I'm the only one who knows." She then looked at her and added, "You snore by the way."
"Oh, gods," Flora softly wailed, burying her face into her hands in a mixture of shame and embarrassment. "This is so embarrassing."
"It's alright," Ananias nonchalantly reassured her. "I'm sure everyone snores in their sleep eventually."
"Not that!" Flora cried, gently slamming her hands against the sides of her chair. "I mean sleeping on the job! I'm a maid! I can't afford to be sleeping on the job!"
Ananias simply shrugged at this. "I'm sure you, Felicia, and Jakob are more help than all of you are worth. I'm sure none of you are exactly behind on anything."
"That's no excuse!" Flora miserably said. "How can I properly serve Lord Corrin if I'm dozing off on the job?"
Ananias frowned. "You're not going to get anything done by working yourselves ragged. And besides, Lord Corrin's nice. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to give you a rest day."
Flora gave him a disapproving look. "One should not take advantage of other people's kindness, Ananias. Especially not a maid!" She then roughly grabbed the article of clothing that Ananias was about to fold from out of his hands. "Give me that!"
Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa!" He gave Flora a look of pure disbelief. "Hey, what was that for?"
Flora then began to fold the said piece of clothing with a focused and determined look on her face. "I appreciate your help, Ananias, but I must kindly ask that you to leave the remainder of this task to me."
"Um, yeah," Ananias awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, "about that."
"There!" Flora proudly looked down at her handiwork. "That's one down!" She looked towards where the pile of clothes were supposed to be and frowned. "Hmm?" She looked around the room, but much to her surprise, no pile of laundry could be found. "That's odd. Where did all of Lord Corrin's clothes go? They were right here just a second ago."
"Um, yeah," Ananias sheepishly said before pointing to the spot next to him. "That's kind of because they're all over here."
Flora's eyes widened in surprise. "Huh? Well, why ever would you do something like that?" Her eyes then followed where Ananias' finger was pointing and gasped at what she saw. "I-Is that... -"
Ananias nodded. "Yeah..."
Flora looked incredulously towards him. "You mean I slept through the entire time it took you to fold the entire pile?!"
"Well," Ananias weakly indicated towards the article of clothing that Flora had folded herself, "obviously not the entire pile."
"Oh no," Flora uttered in a panicked and hushed tone. "Oh no, oh no, oh no." She firmly held the sides of her chair as she sat back and began to hyperventilate. "This can't be happening. It can't."
Ananias apprehensively gulped as he held up his hands in an attempt to calm her down. "Hey, hey, easy. What's wrong?"
"'What's wrong'?!" Flora frantically and angrily cried. "'What's wrong'?!" She then began to angrily slap at him.
"Ow! Hey! Stop that!"
"Why didn't you wake me up the moment you found me?!"
"I didn't want to wake you!"
"Well, you should've!"
"But you looked so tired!"
"I don't care!" Flora wailed. "You should have woken me up the moment you found me!"
"Alright, alright! I'll wake you up next time, alright?! Just quit hitting me! Ow!"
"You'd better!" Flora then proceeded to stand up, let out an angry huff, pick up all of the folded laundry, and carry it all to Lord Corrin's quarters. "Now excuse me! I have some laundry I need to deliver!"
Ananias groaned as he gently rubbed a spot that Flora had violently slapped. "Just how did I become the bad guy in all of this?" he mumbled.
