Ever Realm Chronicles - a Sofia the First fanfic

Chapter 18: Major Moments (Part One)

April 12, 1872

It was a Friday morning at Hexley Hall. As seven-year-old Doc wandered down a hallway holding Chilly under her arm, she found herself to be lost.

"May I help you?" an older girl asked from behind Doc.

Doc turned around to see a seventeen-year-old girl with red hair standing there. Standing beside the girl was a female dog that had blonde fur.

"I'm new here, and I'm afraid I've gotten lost," Doc answered.

"It happens to the best of us," the red-haired girl smiled reassuringly. "What's your name?"

"I'm Dottie," Doc explained. "But everybody calls me Doc."

"Ah!" the red-haired girl acknowledged. "You're the new student who can make toys come alive."

"How did you know?" Doc wondered.

"Well, word gets around fast," the red-haired girl winked. "Plus, I have contacts at Enchancia Castle."

"You know people at Enchancia Castle?" Doc wanted to know.

"Oh, yes," the red-haired girl happily answered. "I'm the adopted daughter of Duchess Tilly and Sir Bartleby."

"Then you would be ... let me remember ... oh, yes ... Lady Madeline Campion," Doc recalled.

"Guilty as charged," Madeline smiled. "I'm in Kennicot House. And this is my dog, Genevieve. She's my helper animal here."

"Nice to meet you, Genevieve," Doc smiled back. "I'm in Pepperton House. This is my helper toy, Chilly."

Doc waved her hand over her stethoscope, and Chilly came to life.

"A pleasure to meet you, Lady Madeline," Chilly smiled.

"Amazing," Madeline said in awe. "Chilly, this is my dog, Genevieve."

Genevieve walked up to Chilly and happily gave him a lick.

"That tickles," Chilly grinned as Doc and Madeline laughed.

"Where are you heading?" Madeline asked Doc.

"Basic Wand Training with Professor Amy O'Toole-Montague," Doc answered. "I know it's outside, but I got lost in the hallways."

"No problem," Madeline said in a reassuring voice. "I'll take you. I have a free period coming up, and it will be nice to see your professor again."

Madeline and Genevieve led Doc and Chilly through the halls of the school until they reached a door that led outside. In a few moments, they walked up to where twenty-one-year-old Amy O'Toole-Montague was gathering her students together.

"Professor O'Toole-Montague," Madeline called out.

"Ah!" Amy smiled. "Nice to see you again, Lady Madeline. I haven't seen you since I taught Household Spells. You were a fast learner."

"Thank you, Professor," Madeline smiled back, pleased.

"And you must be Doc," Amy happily said to Doc. "I've been looking forward to meeting you. It's not every day you meet somebody with the ability to bring toys to life."

"Oh, I'm not that special," Doc said, shyly.

"The great ones always say that," Amy proudly responded. "I think you're going to fit in nicely here. And who's your friend?"

"This is my helper toy, Chilly," Doc answered.

"A pleasure to meet you, Professor," Chilly smiled.

"And it's a pleasure to meet you, sir," Amy smiled.

"Sir," Chilly responded to Doc, impressed. "I like this one."

"If you and Chilly will join the other students, we'll get started in a few minutes," Amy said to Doc.

"Yes, Professor," Doc acknowledged as she walked over to the other students with Chilly.

"So, how are your younger brother and sister?" Amy asked Madeline.

"JT and Roxy are at the terrible twos," Madeline winked. "But, we've got a handle on the situation. And how's your husband?"

"Kurt is fine," Amy smiled. "He's currently teaching Magical Artifacts here at Hexley. I've never seen him happier."

Amy and Madeline looked over to where Doc and Chilly were getting acquainted with the rest of the students in class. The students were in awe not only at Doc's ability to bring toys alive, but also in awe over Chilly. As the students happily asked Doc and Chilly questions, Amy and Madeline smiled at the scene. Doc and Chilly were going to fit in nicely at Hexley.

That evening in Cinnibar

Inside Scarlett's palace in Cinnibar, Scarlett's seven-year-old daughter Skylar was in her room getting ready for supper when a knock came at her door.

"Come in," Skylar invited.

The door opened, and in walked Skylar's older sister Faith.

"Supper will be ready in twenty minutes," Faith announced. "Ready?"

"Almost," Skylar answered, before turning serious. "There's something ... never mind."

"What?" Faith asked, curious.

"Well ..." Skylar started.

"Go ahead," Faith urged.

"It's just ... how come you get to go on missions with Mom, and I don't?" Skylar wanted to know. "I mean, she's my birth mother, and you're adopted. Oh, my! That didn't come out right."

"It's okay," Faith said in a gentle voice. "I suppose if I were in your shoes, I'd feel the same way."

"It's just that Princess Sofia was my age when she started having her adventures," Skylar pointed out.

"And you're feeling left out," Faith theorized.

"Yes," Skylar admitted.

"It's just that Mom and I want to protect you from the dangers of the world," Faith explained. "We do it out of love. But, I suppose it's time you had a place at the table."

"You mean that?" Skylar asked as her face lit up in happiness.

"Yes, I do," Faith smiled. "But, it's not up to me. Mom will have to have the final say. Tell you what. I'll talk to Mom after supper. I can't promise anything, but I'll do my best."

"That's all I ask," Skylar said as she and Faith hugged.

After supper, Faith took Scarlett aside.

"There's something I'd like to talk to you about, Mom," Faith started. "Can we talk in your study?"

"Of course, Faith," Scarlett agreed.

In a few minutes, the two entered Scarlett's study as Scarlett shut the door behind them.

"What may I do for you, Faith?" Scarlett wanted to know.

"Well, our Skylar is growing up," Faith began.

"It's way too early for the talk," Scarlett pointed out.

"Oh, no. Not that," Faith chuckled, before turning serious. "The truth is, Skylar wants a place at the table as it were."

"Meaning?" Scarlett asked.

"Skylar wants to come along on our missions," Faith explained.

"Absolutely not!" Scarlett exclaimed in shock. "She's too young!"

"Princess Sofia was Skylar's age when she started going on adventures," Faith reminded Scarlett. "I know you want to protect Skylar. We both do. But, perhaps it's time we cut her a little slack. I'm not saying we have her rush right into the fire, but perhaps we could come up with some kind of support role for her at first."

"Damn you, Faith," Scarlett said as a smile came over her face. "You always know how to hit me with a subtle form of logic."

"Well, I did learn from the best," Faith smiled back.

"Flatterer," Scarlett chuckled. "I tell you what. I'll consider some kind of support role for Skylar."

"I know you'll come up with something," Faith happily responded. "You always do."

"Meanwhile, I'll set aside some time on a regular basis to start training Skylar," Scarlett promised.

"Thank you, Mom," Faith said, pleased, as she hugged Scarlett. "I think Skylar will accept that."

A short while later, Faith was walking down a hall when Skylar raced up.

"Well?" Skylar wanted to know.

"Mom will consider a support role for you," Faith announced. "I know it's not what you wanted, but it's a beginning."

"I can live with that, I guess," Skylar frowned.

"There is an upside," Faith began. "Mom will start training you. It will take time, but it will eventually lead to adventures for you. Just be patient. Good things come to those who wait."

"Thank you for speaking to Mom," Skylar said as a smile formed on her face. "I'll do my best to be patient."

"I know you will," Faith smiled as she gently kissed Skylar on the forehead.

Meanwhile, at Enchancia Castle, Dorrie and Candice were sitting in the castle sitting room when Sofia walked in.

"Well, are the two of you ready for your official princess luncheon tomorrow?" Sofia smiled.

"Everything is in place, and the guests have been invited," Dorrie reported.

"That still doesn't mean we're not scared to death," Candice added.

"It's one thing to do something like this for other people," Dorrie pointed out. "It's quite different when you're doing it for yourself."

"The two of you will be fine," Sofia said in a reassuring voice. "Just be yourselves, and everything will fall into place."

Dorrie and Candice smiled at Sofia's kind comment.

April 13, 1872

It was a Saturday morning at Enchancia Castle, and the day had come for Dorrie and Candice's official princess luncheon. Dorrie and Candice paced nervously around the castle ballroom as Baileywick walked up.

"The two of you have done a wonderful job here," Baileywick praised. "A buffet-style luncheon was a perfect idea."

"I just hope everything goes off well," Dorrie hoped.

"This is our first official princess function," Candice pointed out. "Dorrie and I want to be in tip-top form."

"The two of you will do fine," Baileywick said in a reassuring voice.

"Of course they will," Violet happily said as she walked up.

At that moment, fourteen-year-old Calista also walked up.

"I'm ever so sorry I'm early," Calista apologized. "I wanted to see things play out."

"You're just in time," Dorrie smiled. "Candice and I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise?" Calista asked. "For me?"

"Yes," Candice happily answered. "Now, close your eyes."

Calista closed her eyes as a man stepped forward.

"You can open your eyes, now," Dorrie instructed as Calista opened her eyes.

"Uncle Corbett!" Calista exclaimed in glee as she hugged Corbett.

"You're growing up to be a fine young woman," Corbett praised, before turning to Dorrie and Candice. "Thank you for inviting me, Princesses."

"Anytime," Candice smiled. "And we have more surprises for you, Calista."

Calista looked to see her mother (Cordelia), her aunt (Constance), and her grandparents (Goodwyn and Winifred) enter the ballroom.

"Mommy!" Calista beamed in happiness. "Aunt Constance, Grandfather, Grandmother."

"It's so good to see you," Cordelia smiled as mother and daughter hugged.

"Looking good, young lady," Goodwyn happily said to Calista.

"Princesses," Winifred greeted Dorrie and Candice. "Thank you for inviting us."

"You're very welcome," Dorrie happily responded, before turning to Calista. "And we have one more surprise for you."

"Whatever could it be?" Calista asked in wonderment.

At that moment, Fourteen-year-old Melanie Ludwin and her parents entered the ballroom.

"Melanie!" Calista exclaimed in glee at the sight of her best friend.

"That was nice what you and Candice did for Calista, inviting her family and best friend," Constance praised Dorrie.

"It's the least we could do," Dorrie smiled. "Calista is one of our closest friends. I take it Scarlett, Faith, and Skylar are arriving soon?"

"They should be here in a little while," Constance informed Dorrie. "Scarlett was doing Skylar's daily training when I left."

"Skylar's daily training?" Dorrie asked.

"Skylar wants to come along on missions with Scarlett and Faith," Constance explained. "Daily training is the first step toward that goal."

"Skylar has a good teacher," Dorrie praised. "She's in good hands."

In a little while, guests for Dorrie and Candice's official princess luncheon had arrived. Baileywick then stepped forward.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Baileywick announced. "Presenting Princess Dorrie of Ornburgh, and Princess Candice of Ornburgh."

Everybody clapped as Dorrie and Candice walked into the ballroom on a red carpet. Standing at the end of the carpet were Frederick and Everett.

"Dorrie," Frederick smiled as Dorrie took his arm.

"Candice," Everett smiled as Candice took his arm.

The four then happily walked further into the ballroom as everybody once again clapped.

"Candice and I want to thank all of you for attending our official princess luncheon," Dorrie smiled.

"Dorrie and I decided to make this a buffet gathering," Candice revealed. "Please feel free to pick out what you like, and enjoy."

"I like buffets," eighteen-year-old Princess Sandra of Orillia happily said to a nearby guest. "Don't mind if I do."

"If everybody will wait for a moment, I have a surprise for Princess Dorrie and Princess Candice," eighteen-year-old Princess Dianna of Yensid announced. "For Dorrie, I've made brownies."

"I love brownies," Dorrie happily approved. "Thank you."

"And for Princess Candice, I've made peanut butter cupcakes," Dianna continued.

"Thank you, Dianna," Candice acknowledged, pleased. "I love peanut butter."

As was the tradition at such gatherings, the hostesses of the gathering were allowed to select from the buffet first, followed by everybody else. After everybody had selected what they wanted from the buffet, everybody sat down at tables and enjoyed the food they had selected.

As everybody enjoyed the luncheon, some people would occasionally walk up to the table where Dorrie and Candice were seated. At a nearby long table, the royal families of Enchancia, Ornburgh, Avalor, and Lacorinth were seated. The four royal families looked at the table where Dorrie and Candice were sitting as they talked with Princess Nella and Sir Garrett from Castlehaven.

"I like Dorrie and Candice's informal way of doing things," King Jonathan of Ornburgh remarked, impressed.

"You'll find it's quite refreshing," King Roland said with pride. "Your sons will be getting two remarkable brides."

"Dorrie and Candice are going to fit into Ornburgh life very nicely," King Jonathan responded, pleased. "The people of Ornburgh value an informal style".

"I remember when Dorrie and Candice were just kids," Queen Elena of Avalor smiled. "They've grown up to be two fine women."

"Indeed, they have," Queen Miranda cheerfully agreed.

"Dorrie and Candice do us all proud," Queen Lydia of Lacorinth happily noted.

"Indeed they do, Lydia," Duchess Tilly agreed with a smile. "Indeed they do."

Elsewhere in the ballroom, Sofia, Ruby, and Jade were talking among themselves.

"It was nice that your schools allowed you to attend," Sofia happily said.

"We were here at home anyway for my father's announcement," Jade acknowledged.

"And both of our schools said we could take the weekend off," Ruby added.

"So, when does the marriage between your parents take place?" Sofia asked, curious.

"Sometime in May," Jade answered. "The exact date has to be worked out."

"How are you holding up, Ruby?" Sofia wanted to know.

"I'm getting used to the idea of becoming a princess," Ruby admitted.

"And Ruby and I are going to be sisters!" Jade exclaimed in happiness.

"I'm happy for all of you," Sofia smiled. "If there's anything I can do, just say the word."

"Thank you, Sofia," Jade acknowledged, grateful.

Meanwhile, back where Dorrie and Candice were sitting, a woman and man, along with an eight-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, walked up.

"Danika!" Dorrie exclaimed in joy.

"Jeremiah!" Candice happily exclaimed.

"It's so good to see the two of you again," Dorrie smiled, before turning to the children. "And it's so good seeing the two of you again, Dorrie Lucinda and Joseph."

"The two of you have really grown up," Candice praised Dorrie Lucinda, and Joseph.

"Thank you, princesses," Dorrie Lucinda and Joseph smiled at Dorrie and Candice.

"So, look at the two of you," Danika said to Dorrie and Candice. "Princesses."

"Congratulations," Jeremiah happily said. "The two of you have come so far."

"Thank you," Dorrie and Candice smiled at Danika and Jeremiah.

"So," Dorrie started, "did everything go well at the Wendarby Institute?"

"It went perfectly," Jeremiah reported. "Dorrie Lucinda and Joseph will start school there when it opens in September."

"And thank you for helping them get into Cosmarune House," Danika happily added.

"It was our pleasure," Candice responded, pleased. "As soon as we got your letter, Dorrie and I immediately contacted the Wendarby Institute and told them Dorrie Lucinda and Joseph had our blessing to enter Cosmarune House."

In the ballroom, various guests started forming in small groups to talk to each other. In one group, Lord Gilbert and his teenage daughter (Lady Joy) were talking to the Pearson family (it wasn't a surprise that the group was talking to each other since all of them came from the Ramblingham area of Enchancia). In another group, Lucinda was talking to Indigo and Lily. And in another group, James and Vivian were talking to Zandar and Hugo. Dorrie and Candice smiled as everybody enjoyed themselves.

"Excuse me, princesses," a woman's voice came from Dorrie and Candice's side. Dorrie and Candice looked to see Queen Emeritus Elsa of Arendelle, and Princess Hildegard of Freezenburg, standing there.

"Queen Emerita Elsa," Dorrie greeted as she and Candice stood up.

"Hilde," Candice greeted. "We're glad the two of you could make it."

"We were in Enchancia at Wendarby for our weekend training exercises," Elsa smiled. "We thought we'd take a break and join the fun here."

"We're happy to see you," Dorrie smiled back, before turning to Hildegard. "How is your training going?"

"Elsa says I'm making steady progress," Hildegard reported. "I'm still getting comfortable with using my gift in public."

"If it makes you feel better, Hilde, you're not the only one with a special talent," Candice said in a reassuring voice.

"It's nice to know that Elsa is the same as me," Hildegard admitted.

"But, there's somebody else with a special talent I'd like you to meet," Candice announced as she motioned Doc to come over. "This is Doc McStuffins. Doc, this is Queen Emerita Elsa of Arendelle, and Princess Hildegard of Freezenburg."

"Queen Emerita Elsa, Princess Hildegard," Doc greeted as she curtsied.

"Young lady," Elsa smiled.

"A pleasure to meet you," Hildegard happily added.

"I've heard about the two of you," Doc revealed to Elsa and Hildegard. "You have ice powers."

"And Doc here has a special ability, too," Candice announced. "She has the power to bring toys to life."

"Really!?" Elsa said, impressed.

"I don't suppose we could get a demonstration, could we?" Hildegard asked, very interested.

"This is Chilly," Doc said as she held up Chilly. Doc then touched her stethoscope, and Chilly came to life.

"A pleasure to meet you, ladies," Chilly smiled.

"Amazing!" Elsa exclaimed in awe.

"Wonderful," Hildegard smiled.

Elsa, Hildegard, Doc, and Chilly spend the longest time talking as Dorrie and Candice stood back and smiled at the pleasant scene. It was a wonderful way to end a wonderful day.

April 15, 1872

It was a Monday morning at Hexley Hall. Doc had arrived early and was just in time for breakfast. As she walked into the Great Hall, she walked over to the Pepperton table. As she was about to sit down, a boy Doc's age walked up.

"Hi," the boy smiled. "You're the girl who can make toys come alive."

"Yes," Doc happily confirmed. "I'm Doc. And you are?"

"I'm Dev," the boy introduced himself. "My home is in Ramblingham, so I live here during the school months."

"It's nice to meet you, Dev," Doc smiled.

"Would you care to sit together?" Dev asked.

"I'd like that," Doc happily agreed as the two sat down at the Pepperton table.

As the two ate breakfast, they had a pleasant conversation. At one point, Dev looked at Chilly who Doc had sat on the table.

"Who is this little guy?" Dev wanted to know.

"This is Chilly," Doc answered. "He's my helper toy. Would you like to see him come alive?"

"Would I ever!" Dev exclaimed, very interested.

Doc touched her stethoscope, and Chilly came to life.

"Wow," Dev said, impressed.

"Why, hello there," Chilly smiled at Dev.

"Hello," Dev smiled back. "I'm Dev."

"Nice to meet you, Dev," Chilly happily commented.

"I have an idea," Dev announced. "I'm eating lunch today with Manny, the school's custodian. How about you and Chilly join us?"

"I don't know," Doc said, unsure.

"You'll like him," Dev smiled. "And, he has animated tools."

"Animated tools?" Doc asked, curious.

"I thought that would get your attention," Dev grinned. "I'll meet you and Chilly at the entrance to the Great Hall, and I'll take you down where Manny is."

"Okay," Doc agreed.

At lunchtime, Doc met Dev at the entrance to the Great Hall.

"Where's Chilly?" Dev asked.

"He's in my backpack so I can carry my lunch tray," Doc answered.

Dev led Doc to the lower level of Hexley Hall until they reached the area where the custodian was.

"Manny," Dev called out.

"Over here, Dev," a man's voice responded.

Dev and Doc walked over to where the man was sitting.

"So good of you to join me, Dev," the man smiled. "And who is your friend?"

"Doc, sir," Doc introduced herself. "Doc McStuffins."

"Ah!" the man happily exclaimed. "You're the new student who can bring toys to life."

"Guilty as charged," Doc chuckled.

"I'm Manny," the man introduced himself. "I'm the custodian here at Hexley. I'm glad you could join us."

"The pleasure is mine, Manny," Doc happily said. "So, how long have the two of you known each other?"

"I met Manny this past winter," Dev answered. "In one of my classes, the heater in the classroom stopped working. The teacher sent me to get the custodian, and that's when I met Manny."

"And we've been friends ever since," Manny smiled.

"Doc should meet your tools, Manny," Dev suggested.

"Guys," Manny called out. "Come out and meet our new student."

In a few moments, some tools hopped out on their own.

"These are my tools ... and my friends," Manny explained. "They are enchanted. This is Pat, my hammer. And these are Felipe, my phillips-head screwdriver; Flicker, my lantern; Turner, my flat-head screwdriver; Dusty, my hand saw; Squeeze, my pair of pliers; Stretch, my tape measure; and Rusty, my monkey wrench. Tools, this is Doc, and you already know Dev."

"Hi, Doc," the tools happily greeted.

"Hello," Doc smiled.

"I have other tools as well," Manny revealed as he motioned more tools to come forward. "These are Lefty, Lily, Junior, Ticks, and Totts, my wrenches. This is Pinzas, my needle nose pliers. This is Sneeze, my steam-powered vacuum cleaner. And this is Spinner, my hand drill."

"Hello, everybody," Doc greeted. "Nice to meet all of you. I have someone to show you - my helper toy."

"Helper toy?" Manny wanted to know as Doc brought Chilly out of her backpack.

"This is Chilly," Doc introduced her stuffed snowman toy to everybody. "For me, Chilly is used in place of a helper animal."

"A pleasure to meet you all," Chilly smiled.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Chilly," Manny smiled back as he shook Chilly's hand.

"Dev, I've been meaning to ask," Doc started. "What kind of helper animal do you have?"

"I have a black female cat named Sheba," Dev answered. "She's currently at the Hexley Hall Helper Animal Day Care Program. That's where helper animals stay when they're not needed for classwork."

"That sounds nice," Doc happily acknowledged.

"It is," Manny agreed. "The staff at the day care program sees to the needs of every helper animal in the school."

As Manny, Dev, and Doc ate lunch, everybody had a pleasant conversation. It was a nice way to spend a lunch period. As they were finishing up, Manny handed Doc a map.

"This is a printed map of the school," Manny explained. "I keep a few copies down here for new students like yourself."

"Thank you," Doc said, grateful, as she took the map. "This will help Chilly and me get around the school easier."

"You're very welcome, Doc," Manny smiled.

Meanwhile, at the Satu embassy in Dunwiddie, Liang and Helen were talking to a man - Reverend Williams of the local church in Dunwiddie.

"First of all, I want to congratulate the two of you on your upcoming marriage," Reverend Williams said.

"Thank you, Reverend," Liang happily acknowledged.

"I understand the two of you would like to get married as soon as possible," Reverend Williams noted.

Liang and Helen nodded their heads in agreement as Reverend Williams opened an appointment book he had brought with him.

"I do have an opening on the afternoon of Sunday, May 26th," Reverend Williams announced. "Will that work?"

"That will work perfectly," Liang smiled as he and Helen happily held hands.

"Then we have a date," Reverend Williams smiled back.

(To be continued in Chapter 19).

Author's notes

"And it's a pleasure to meet you, sir," Amy smiled. "Sir," Chilly responded to Doc, impressed. "I like this one." - this is inspired by the scene between Luna and Dobby in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" (Part One) where Luna goes "whenever you're ready, sir" and Dobby responds "Sir? I like her very much."

Danika, Jeremiah, Joseph, and Dorrie Lucinda are characters created by MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury and are used in my stories with the permission of MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury

Dev, Doc, and Chilly are based on the same characters from "Doc McStuffins" but adapted for the "Sofia the First" universe. Having Doc and Chilly appear in "Ever Realm Chronicles" was the idea of MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury.

epear96 pointed out to me that when Doc uses her real name, she uses Dottie as that name. So, from this point forward, when Doc uses her real name, it will be Dottie.

Having Amy and Kurt now being married was the idea of Brigade701.

Having Chilly be Doc's helper toy at Hexley Hall was the idea of MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury.

Having Dev appear in "Ever Realm Chronicles" was the idea of epear96 (along with Dev living in Ramblingham).

Having Dianna make brownies for Dorrie and peanut butter cupcakes for Candice was the idea of dbug27.

Having Dorrie and Candice walk down a red carpet was the idea of Brigade701. I added Frederick and Everett waiting at the end of the carpet to round out the scene.

Having Madeline appear in this chapter was the idea of Gabriel Snyder. I brought in Madeline's dog Genevieve to round things out.

Having Manny (AKA Handy Manny) and his tools appear in this chapter was the idea of both Brigade701 and Mark T.

Having Skylar wanting to come along on adventures was the idea of Jake H Voronkov (who also suggested that Skylar should bring up the fact that Faith is adopted).

How Dev and Manny first met was an idea by Brigade701.

I decided it was time for Sir Bartleby to have a last name, so I chose Campion to be that last name. So, from this point forward, Bartleby, Tilly, Madeline, along with JT and Roxy (Bartleby and Tilly's children from their marriage), will all go under the last name of Campion. Having Bartleby and Tilly's children named Roxanne Lynne (Roxy) and James Timothy (JT) was the idea of MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury.

Lydia is from GradGirl2010's stories "My Sister's Keeper", "My Sister's Teacher", and "My Sister's Acceptance", and is used in my stories with the permission of GradGirl2010. Readers of my stories will remember that Lydia (in my stories) is Queen of the Kingdom of Lacorinth (being married to King Graham of Lacorinth), and is also the royal sorceress of Lacorinth.

Madeline and Genevieve are based on Madeline and Genevieve from the "Madeline" book series but adapted for the "Sofia the First" universe. Madeline has also appeared in stories written by Sofia2017 planning, as well as my stories "A Royal Rift", "Enchancia Castle", "Getting To Know Tilly", "Once Upon a Time in Enchancia", "Sofia and Lucinda the First - Twice Upon a Princess", "Sofia and Lucinda the First", and "Tales From The Castle". The versions of Madeline and Genevieve seen in this chapter are based on Madeline and Genevieve who appeared in my story "Getting To Know Tilly", with that Madeline and Genevieve are now adapted to be a part of my other stories.

Manny, as well as Dusty, Felipe, Flicker, Junior, Lefty, Lily, Pat, Pinzas, Rusty, Sneeze, Spinner, Squeeze, Stretch, Ticks, Totts, and Turner are based on the same characters from the "Handy Manny" TV series, but adapted for the "Sofia the First" universe. In regard to Flicker, Brigade701 and I changed Flicker from a flashlight to a lantern to make Flicker more compatible with the 1870s. In regard to Sneeze, Brigade701 and I changed Sneeze from a conventional vacuum cleaner to a steam-powered vacuum cleaner to make Sneeze more compatible with the 1870s. And in regard to Spinner, I changed Spinner from a power drill to a hand drill to make Spinner more compatible with the 1870s.

Princess Dianna of Yensid is a character created by dbug27 and is used in this story with permission from dbug27. Princess Dianna is from dbug27's story "a special princess".

Princess Faith (Queen Scarlett's adopted daughter) is an earlier version of Faith seen in the "Torchwood" episodes "Dead Man Walking" and "Fragments".

Princess Nella and Sir Garrett are grown-up versions of the same characters from "Nella the Princess Knight".

Princess Sandra is a character created by Jolly Roger Brat. Princess Sandra is used in my stories with the permission of Jolly Roger Brat.

Queen Emerita Elsa is from "Frozen II".

Scarlett's daughter, Skylar, is an original character created by Jake H Voronkov for my stories (the fact that Scarlett's daughter, and Elena of Avalor's Jaguin, share the same name is simply an interesting quirk of fate).

Since Dev is attending Hexley Hall, I decided to give him a cat (Sheba) as a helper animal.

The Kingdom of Arendelle is from "Frozen" and "Frozen II".

The Kingdom of Avalor is from "Elena of Avalor".

The Kingdom of Castlehaven is from "Nella the Princess Knight."

The Kingdom of Cinnibar is a kingdom created by Jake H Voronkov and is used in my stories with permission from Jake H Voronkov.

The Kingdom of Lacorinth is a kingdom I created for Queen Lydia in my stories.
