Ever Realm Chronicles - a Sofia the First fanfic

Welcome to Chapter 21 of "Ever Realm Chronicles". In this chapter, we'll be covering the time in "Disney Descendants" when the villains were rounded up and exiled to the Isle of the Lost. Be aware that this chapter is not going to be "Disney Descendants" canon, but is instead going to be somewhat based on past events in my stories. Please keep this in mind as you read this chapter.

Chapter 21: Back To The Beginning

June 4, 1872

It was a Tuesday morning at Enchancia Castle. In Candice's room, Candice pulled out her Omni. Dorrie had used her Omni an hour earlier to travel to Voyager Command to see if she could get any leads on the Monkey Talisman. Candice adjusted the dials on her Omni, pressed a button on her Omni, and disappeared into thin air.

After passing through a time vortex, Candice reappeared inside Voyager City. Candice then walked to a nearby building and walked inside. Since the building was connected to Voyager Command, many Voyagers were walking around either on their way to various assignments or returning from various assignments. As Candice walked down a hallway, she saw a white-skinned blond-haired woman leading a group of children.

"This way, children," the woman happily directed. "We'll be at our destination before you know it."

"Yes, Miss Marilyn," the children happily acknowledged.

Candice smiled at the pleasant sight. Miss Marilyn, as the children called her, volunteered her time on occasion to teach children how to cook. Miss Marilyn loved children and was always pleased to help children out where she could. Marilyn was also a very important Voyager. She was one of the specialty Voyagers. In Marilyn's case, she was the specialty Voyager in charge of maintaining motion picture history. You see, Marilyn was in fact Marilyn Monroe who to history was dead, but in fact, she had started a new life as a Voyager.

"Marilyn," Candice happily called out.

"Candice," Marilyn smiled.

"Could you use a hand?" Candice asked.

"That would be nice, Candice," Marilyn happily accepted. "I'm running a bit late today. I had to get my yearly Transformation Manipulator check up."

"An impressive small piece of technology," Candice remarked.

"Yes," Marilyn agreed. "It allows me to change my appearance so nobody will recognize me in time periods where I would be known."

Elsewhere in the building, Dorrie had just finished a session in one of the time scanning labs. Before leaving the lab, Dorrie walked over to a computer panel on the wall.

"Computer," Dorrie requested. "Is Candice Cooper in Voyager City?"

"Affirmative," a female voice came from the computer panel. "Candice Cooper is in this building in kitchen number four."

"Thank you," Dorrie acknowledged as she left the lab. "Marilyn must be having another cooking class for the kids," Dorrie thought to herself.

As Dorrie walked to kitchen number four, she saw in the distance two specialty Voyagers she knew talking to each other. One was Kate Lawrence who was the specialty Voyager in charge of maintaining classic music history. The other was a man who was the specialty Voyager in charge of maintaining blues, gospel, rock, and country music. The man was in fact the legendary Elvis Presley who to history was dead, but like Marilyn had started a new life as a Voyager. As Dorrie walked past, she could hear Kate and Elvis talking.

"How was the convention, Elvis?" Kate wanted to know, curious.

"It was a fine vacation, Kate," Elvis answered with a smile. "I had forgotten how many Elvis impersonators there were out there. I blended in nicely. A few even complimented me on how well I looked like Elvis. If only they knew."

Kate and Elvis both chuckled at Elvis' observation.

In a few minutes, Dorrie arrived at kitchen number four to find Marilyn teaching the children how to cook some simple dishes, with Candice helping out.

"Dorrie," Marilyn smiled. "Please, join us."

Dorrie walked in and helped out along with Candice. Afterward, Dorrie and Candice walked out into the hallway.

"Did you find out anything?" Candice asked Dorrie.

"Yes," Dorrie answered. "I've managed to trace the Monkey Talisman to Auradon in the year 2000."

"Then we should be going," Candice suggested.

"I don't think you understand," Dorrie cautioned. "That was the year that the villains were rounded up and exiled to the Isle of the Lost ... including Maleficent and Baby Mal."

"I understand completely," Candice quietly acknowledged.

"I know this mission will be hard for you," Dorrie sympathized. "If you'd like, I can get somebody else to come along."

"I've never been someone who runs from something," Candice pointed out. "My beginnings are all too clear to me - being created by Maleficent, and me expected to be evil. That's something I'll always have to live with."

"But you turned good in the end," Dorrie reminded Candice. "Always remember that."

"Thank you, Dorrie," Candice said, appreciative.

"So, you in?" Dorrie wanted to know.

"Yes," Candice answered. "Even having to face some ghosts from my past, I'm in. Do we use our Omnis or our Tardis to get there?"

"I'd rather we use our Omnis," Dorrie responded. "You remember who brought the villains to Auradon in the first place? Missy. I'd rather not have Missy of that time knowing we have a Tardis."

"Good point," Candice agreed. "We should take a further precaution as well - use a shapeshifting spell to change our appearances. What if we should run into Missy or Maleficent while we're there?"

"Good thinking," Dorrie said as she pulled out her Omni.

"Then let's get going," Candice suggested as she pulled out her Omni. "What would be the best time to arrive in Auradon?"

"October 6th of 2000, say two in the afternoon," Dorrie answered. "That's a few days before the villains are rounded up, and will give us enough time to get the lay of the land as it were."

The two adjusted the dials on their Omnis, each pressed a button on her Omni, and each disappeared into thin air.

October 6, 2000

It was a Friday afternoon in the United States of Auradon. Inside the Auradon royal palace, King Beast and Queen Belle were meeting with Fairy Godmother.

"Villains running amuck!" Beast exclaimed. "Something has to be done! We can't let this continue!"

"But what can we do?" Belle asked. "They just appear out of nowhere, then disappear just as fast. It's very hard to track them down."

At that moment, a male servant entered the room.

"Your Majesty," the servant announced to Beast. "Queen Scarlett of Cinnibar is here."

"Good," Beast responded, relieved. "My head of the Auradon Security Forces is here. Show her in."

In a few moments, Scarlett walked into the room.

"King Beast, Queen Belle, Fairy Godmother," Scarlett greeted as she curtsied.

"Scarlett," Beast acknowledged. "Any luck in tracking down the villains?"

"Not as yet," Scarlett reported. "They've vanished without a trace ... again. We can only hope the prophecy comes about soon."

"Forgive me for saying this, Scarlett," Fairy Godmother began. "You keep talking about this prophecy, but you keep the exact details close to the vest as it were."

"I have my reasons," Scarlett revealed. "There are things that must take place, but they must happen in their own time. Please trust me when I say help is coming."

"Very well, Scarlett," Beast conceded. "I've learned to trust your judgment."

Meanwhile, in the woods outside of Auradon City, Dorrie and Candice appeared out of thin air. Dorrie opened her Omni, and a red light started flashing.

"Red light," Candice observed. "The timeline here is messed up. We've better get to work to fix things, and retrieve the Monkey Talisman as well."

"Time to blend in," Dorrie suggested as she and Candice brought out their wands. They then waved their wands over their heads, changing their appearance. As they walked away, unknown to them somebody was watching from a distance. The person watching was Princess Faith of Cinnibar.

"Dorrie and Candice are here," Faith thought to herself. "The prophecy has come true."

A few hours later

In a hotel room in Auradon, Dorrie and Candice were going over notes when a knock came at their door. Dorrie walked over and answered the door. Standing there was a white-skinned man with dark hair and a white-skinned woman with red hair.

"Dorrie?" the man asked, puzzled. "You've ... changed."

"Candice and I magically changed our appearance," Dorrie explained. "I take it Voyager Command sent the two of you?"

"Yes," the woman responded. "Commissioner Richardson thought we might be able to help, considering the circumstances."

"Please, come in," Dorrie invited. "We could use all the help we can get."

As the three walked into the hotel room, Candice looked up to see familiar faces.

"Fox, Dana," Candice smiled. "What brings you to Auradon?"

"As the specialty Voyagers in charge of maintaining paranormal history, Commissioner Richardson thought we might be of help," Fox explained.

At that moment, another knock came at the door. Dorrie walked over, opened the door, and found a group of men standing there.

"Ma'am," one of the men greeted. "We're with the Auradon Security Forces. You and your companion are requested to come with us. Your guests should come along as well."

"What is the meaning of this?" Candice wanted to know.

"An old friend wants a meeting," the man explained. "Please comply."

"It might be best to follow their request," Fox suggested to Dorrie and Candice.

"Very well," Dorrie agreed as the men led Dorrie, Candice, Fox, and Dana out of the hotel room. They then climbed aboard an armored personnel carrier. In a little while, the carrier stopped at an office building. Dorrie, Candice, Fox, and Dana were led to a large office where they were told to sit down.

"You may leave us," a woman directed the men as she entered. The woman then turned to Dorrie and Candice. "You're among friends here. No need to hide your true appearance."

Dorrie and Candice waved their wands over their heads and transformed back to their normal selves.

"That's better," the woman smiled.

"Scarlett," Dorrie and Candice happily greeted.

"Good to see you," Scarlett said, before turning to Fox and Dana. "And who are these two?"

"Friends of ours - Fox Mulder and Dana Scully," Dorrie explained.

"Voyagers, I take it," Scarlett theorized.

"Yes," Dana confirmed. "Specialty Voyagers in charge of maintaining paranormal history."

"You were quick to confirm your identities," Scarlett observed.

"You know about the existence of Voyagers," Fox pointed out. "So, in that case, we might as well be upfront with you."

At that moment, a familiar woman walked onto the scene with a smile.

"Been a long time, hasn't it, girls?" she asked with a smile.

"Aunt Colette?" Dorrie asked as she and Candice ran up to hug their aunt. "How'd you get here?"

"The old-fashioned way," Colette smiled. "I'm immortal, remember?"

"Right," Dorrie smiled.

"Dorrie, Candice," Scarlett started. "Please tell me you have a way of tracking the villains?"

"Actually, we do," Candice responded as she brought out a handheld device. "Missy is using her Tardis to help the villains. We can use this device to lock onto artron energy being emitted by Missy's Tardis. And once we lock onto that artron energy, we can locate Missy's Tardis."

"Excuse me if I'm wrong, but what if we lock onto your Tardis instead?" Scarlett wondered.

"We left ours home in our time period in Enchancia," Dorrie explained. "Here in Auradon, the only Tardis we'll pick up is Missy's."

"Then it looks like everything is set," Scarlett smiled as she turned to Fox and Dana. "I'll have guest quarters assigned to the two of you, as well as for Dorrie and Candice."

"Thank you, Queen Scarlett," Fox acknowledged, pleased.

"Dorrie, Candice," Scarlett started, "We'll leave the two of you and Colette to get reacquainted. All of us will have supper together, and we'll figure out where to go from here."

October 7, 2000

Inside the Auradon royal palace, Scarlett, Dorrie, Candice, Fox, and Dana walked to a meeting room where King Beast was waiting. Dorrie and Candice had magically changed their appearance to avoid being recognized by any villain that may have been lurking around when they arrived at the palace.

"King Beast," Scarlett greeted as she walked in with Dorrie, Candice, Fox, and Dana. "I am pleased to announce that the prophecy is upon us."

"That's a relief," Beast noted, grateful.

As Dorrie and Candice looked around the room, they noticed Queen Belle as well as Fairy Godmother. They also noticed ... Miss Flora. Miss Fauna, and Miss Merryweather.

"Who are your friends?" Beast asked Scarlett, curious.

"This is Fox Mulder and Dana Scully," Scarlett started. "And these are ... well, you'll see."

Scarlett directed Dorrie and Candice to magically change back to their true appearance. As they changed, everybody in the room gasped in shock.

"How can you be here?" Beast asked Dorrie and Candice.

"You're supposed to be in the 1800s," Belle pointed out.

"I'd like to know how you're here as well," Miss Flora added.

"The four of us are ... time travelers," Candice cautiously revealed about herself, Dorrie, Fox, and Dana.

"And how are you here?" Dorrie asked Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.

"We're immortal, dear," Fauna answered. "Just like Scarlett and Fairy Godmother."

"Well, that explains that," Candice remarked to Dorrie.

"It's an honor to have you here," Beast smiled as he shook Dorrie and Candice's hands. "You're very well known to history. How should we address you."

"Princess Dorrie and Princess Candice," Scarlett answered on behalf of Dorrie and Candice.

"It's an honor to have you here ... all of you," Beast happily said to Dorrie, Candice, Fox, and Dana. "Where do we go from here?"

"I'm glad you asked, Your Majesty," Dorrie started. "Fox here has one solution that will help out."

"Thank you, Dorrie," Fox acknowledged as he walked up and handed an envelope to Beast. "This contains the formula for a powerful tranquilizer that will knock out any magical villain you come across. It's best used by firing a tranquilizer dart through a tranquilizer gun. It will knock out any given magical villain for twelve to fifteen hours, enough time to get any villain to the Isle of the Lost."

"Wait a minute," Belle said, surprised. "The Isle of the Lost is a closely guarded secret only known to the High Council. How do you know about it?"

"As we said, we're time travelers," Dana explained. "We have knowledge of the future ... including the Isle of the Lost."

"Fairy Godmother," Beast directed as he handed her the envelope. "See that this formula is manufactured immediately."

"At once, Your Majesty," Fairy Godmother acknowledged. "I'll personally deliver it to Professor Thascalos."

"Just a minute," Fox interrupted. "Professor Thascalos?"

"Yes," Fairy Godmother acknowledged. "Professor Susan Thascalos of the Auradon Science Institute. Why do you ask?"

"Because in the past there was a Professor Thascalos," Fox explained as he turned toward Dorrie and Candice. "This Thascalos was actually a humanoid alien male known as The Master - a renegade Time Lord who has regenerated into new people over the years."

"Could Susan Thascalos be ... Missy in disguise?!" Dorrie asked in shock.

"This is a different dimension," Fox pointed out. "Everything old is new again over here. Your Missy could be using this is an alias."

"Damn!" Candice exclaimed in disgust as she turned toward Beast. "Your Majesty. How long has this Professor Thascalos been in Auradon?"

"Come to think of it, she arrived in Auradon about the same time as the villains," Belle spoke up.

"Her credentials checked out when she first came here," Beast revealed. "She offered to help develop defenses against the villains. However, the villains always seem to be one step ahead of us."

"I'll bet they are," Dorrie said in sarcasm. "If this Susan Thascalos is Missy, she could have informed the villains of every one of your plans."

"I just can't believe it," Beast said in shock.

"There's one thing we can do right now," Dorrie started as she looked at Candice. "Bring out the artron energy tracker, and let's see if we can track down Missy's Tardis."

Candice brought out the artron energy tracker and did a scan.

"I'm picking up artron energy about two miles away," Candice reported.

"Can you show us on a map?" Scarlett asked as she pointed to a map on the wall.

Candice walked over to the map and pointed out the location of the artron energy.

"That's the Auradon Science Institute," Scarlett confirmed.

"Well, that's that, then," Dana pointed out.

"Have Professor Thascalos brought here immediately," Beast ordered. "But, be discreet. Tell her I want to discuss a new plan with her."

"Yes, Your Majesty," two male security guards acknowledged as they left the room.

A little while later, Professor Thascalos was led into the meeting room. Dorrie and Candice had magically changed their appearance, and Fox and Dana had left the room to avoid detection.

"What may I do for you, Your Majesty?" Professor Thascalos asked as she curtsied.

"These are associates of mine," Beast introduced Thascalos to the magically changed Dorrie and Candice. "They have an idea for dealing with the villains."

"I'm always happy to entertain new ideas," Thascalos smiled as Dorrie and Candice stepped forward.

"We have a way of stopping the villains," Dorrie announced as she suddenly grabbed the neck of Professor Thascalos and quickly pulled off the Monkey Talisman that Thascalos was wearing. Professor Thascalos then changed back into Missy.

"What is going on here?!" Missy demanded to know.

Dorrie and Candice raised their wands above their heads and transformed back into their true selves.

"Oh! I might have known!" Missy said in disgust. "The meddling Cooper sisters!"

"Put Professor Thascalos into high-security lockup," Beast ordered as the two security guards quickly grabbed her.

"And be very careful," Candice warned. "Professor Thascalos or I should say, Missy, has a way of being very slippery."

"She won't get away," one of the security guards promised as Missy was led away.

"Now what do we do?" Beast asked as Fox and Dana walked into the room.

"We manufacture the tranquilizer formula as quickly as possible," Fox advised. "Now that Missy has been captured, we won't have much time."

"I'll get my best people on it immediately," Beast promised.

"Candice," Dorrie started," you might want to go over to Missy's lab and see if you can find anything of interest."

"Of course," Candice agreed.

"I'll have a security guard escort you over there," Beast said to Candice.

Missy's lab

In a short while, Candice arrived at Missy's lab with a male security guard who let Candice into the lab.

"Nothing really special here," Candice observed. "Although, I wouldn't expect Missy to hide something in plain sight. Looks like she even had the good sense to hide her Tardis."

Candice looked around the lab, then spotted something out of the ordinary. Candice then started feeling the wall.

"What are you looking for, ma'am?" the security guard asked, curious.

"There's a panel that leads to another room," Candice informed the security guard. "I'm looking for a way to open it."

"There is no panel," the security guard scoffed.

"Actually, there is," Candice corrected. "I can see it, thanks to my magical glasses."

In a few moments, Candice touched something on the wall, and the panel slid open, revealing the hidden room."

"Well, if I'll be!" the guard exclaimed in awe.

Candice and the guard walked into the room. Candice looked around and discovered a round pillar.

"Missy's Tardis," Candice said of the pillar. "Most likely booby-trapped. Make sure a security team is assigned to keep an eye on this."

"I'll see to it as soon as we leave," the guard acknowledged.

Candice's attention then shifted to a large piece of equipment covered with a tarp. Candice slid back the tarp to discover a suspension chamber with a seven-year-old girl asleep inside. The girl was white-skinned with purple hair.

"This can't be!" Candice exclaimed in shock. "This looks like an older version of Maleficent's daughter, Mal. But Mal would still be a baby. This girl is at least seven."

"What do you suggest we do?" the guard asked Candice.

"I've seen suspension chambers like this before," Candice explained as she pressed a few buttons on the chamber. The lid of the chamber then opened, and a white mist rose from the chamber as the girl started waking up.

"It's okay," Candice reassured the girl. "You're safe. Who are you?"

"I'm a clone of Maleficent's daughter," the girl explained. "Professor Thascalos created me and aged me to be seven years old. She said it was an experiment, but she didn't explain what it was about. Where is Professor Thascalos, anyway?"

"Arrested, young lady," the guard explained.

"Let's get you to King Beast," Candice gently said to the girl.

Candice took the girl back to where King Beast and the others were gathered. Candice then explained the situation.

"This young lady may stay here at the palace until arrangements for her future can be worked out," Beast invited.

"You mean ... go to jail?" the girl asked, nervous.

"Not at all," Beast said in a reassuring voice. "You're an innocent in all of this. By the way, what should we call you?"

The girl thought for a moment before answering. "How about Mallory? I like the sound of that."

"Then Mallory it is," Beast happily agreed.

A short while later, Candice, Dorrie, Fox, and Dana found themselves alone in a sitting room of the palace.

"An older clone of Maleficent's daughter is an unexpected development," Fox pointed out. "Up to now, the timeline here had the potential for being salvaged. Mallory's presence puts an unexpected spin on things."

"But what to do about this?" Dana wondered out loud.

"I may have an idea," Dorrie announced. "Clearly, we can't leave Mallory here. Candice and I could take Mallory back to Enchancia with us. She could blend in there well and become another magical child of the kingdom."

"That would certainly take care of the problem here," Dana admitted. "But she would need somebody to take care of her back in your time."

At that moment, a knock came at the sitting room entrance. Standing there was Scarlett.

"Mind if I interrupt?" Scarlett asked. "I may have a historical answer as to who could take care of young Mallory."

"We're listening," Candice said, interested.

"In June of 1872, a seven-year-old girl with white skin and purple hair arrived in Enchancia," Scarlett started. "Her name was Mallory. Not much was known about her history, but she was eventually enrolled in the Wendarby Institute because she had a high degree of magical ability."

"Interesting," Dorrie acknowledged as she stroked her chin. "Who wound up taking care of Mallory?"

"She was adopted by Cornelia Rose," Scarlett answered.

"Then it's settled," Candice smiled. "We take Mallory back home with us and introduce her to Cornelia. Mallory gets adopted by Cornelia, Mallory then attends the Wendarby Institute, and history goes on the way it was meant to."

October 9, 2000

It was a Monday morning in Auradon. In a forest within the kingdom, the villains were gathered.

"We haven't heard from Missy since late last week," Maleficent announced. "I've even tried using this handheld talkie thing she gave us."

"I believe it's called a communicator," Evil Queen spoke up.

"I know that!" Maleficent snapped at Evil Queen.

"She's only trying to help," Hades said in a calm voice as he held Baby Mal in his arms.

"Just shut up and hold the baby!" Maleficent sneered at Hades.

"You can be such a buzz kill," Hades said under his breath.

"What?!" Maleficent demanded to know.

"Nothing, my wife," Hades said, backing down.

"That's better," Maleficent acknowledged as she turned her attention back to the villains gathered. "We have to assume we're on our own. Time to have some fun with these Auradon simpletons ... fun they won't soon forget."

The villains laughed and cheered at the prospect as outside of the forest, members of the Auradon Security Forces were gathered along with King Beast, Fairy Godmother, Scarlett, Dorrie, Candice, Fox, and Dana.

"Princess Dorrie, Princess Candice, Mister Mulder, Miss Scully," Beast began, "we are in your debt for using your abilities to track down the villains."

"It was a simple matter of traveling through time until we found a point in time where all the villains would be gathered in one place," Dana explained.

"Now all we have to do is to put a stop to their evil once and for all," Beast acknowledged as he turned to Fox. "Are you sure the tranquilizer formula will do the job?"

"It's been tested thoroughly by our scientists," Fox said in a reassuring voice. "It will work."

"Perfect," Beast smiled as a loud commotion came from the forest.

"Their coming," Scarlett said to Dorrie and Candice. "The two of you know how cunning they are. Are you ready?"

"Ready," Dorrie acknowledged.

"You, Candice?" Scarlett wanted to know.

"Oh yes, Scarlett," Candice answered. "I've been ready for years."

"Remember, this is a mission ... not a vendetta," Scarlett cautioned Candice.

"I'm well aware of that," Candice responded. "However, if the opportunity presents itself, you'll forgive me if I handle Maleficent myself."

"Of course," Scarlett agreed.

The villains started walking out of the forest, cheering and laughing as they emerged.

"Fire!" a man's voice ordered as a series of tranquilizer guns went off, with their tranquilizer darts hitting a number of the villains. The villains who were hit dropped to the ground as they fell asleep. Among the villains hit was Hades. Laying next to him was a crying Baby Mal.

"Attack!" Maleficent ordered the remaining villains.

As Maleficent and the remaining villains surged forward, more gunshots rang out, falling even more of the villains. In a panic, Maleficent ran from the scene and reentered the forest.

"MALEFICENT!" a female voice shouted.

"I know that voice," Maleficent said with an evil grin as she turned around. "Fancy meeting you here. Although considering your abilities, I shouldn't really be surprised."

Maleficent looked to see Candice approach. Candice was in her White Maleficent form, complete with her White Maleficent staff.

"Well, well, well," Maleficent said with an evil smile. "You've grown up. Lady Candice has become a woman."

"It's Princess Candice, now," Candice corrected.

"Oooh! Princess!" Maleficent mocked as she started to walk away.

"Just where do you think you're going?!" Candice demanded to know.

"You listen here, girl!" Maleficent snapped at Candice. "Remember who created you!"

"How could I forget!" Candice snapped back in anger. "You wanted me to be evil, but I turned good!"

"Well, we're all entitled to a mistake or two," Maleficent countered with an evil laugh, before turning serious. "Look at the life you could have led. Being my number two. Spreading evil throughout the land."

"I'll pass," Candice sneered. "I've seen some people hate me simply because I was created by you. I've seen their disapproving looks. I've seen them judge me without even getting to know me. I've heard them call me Maleficent's servant."

"So, you've had some hard times," Maleficent mocked. "Boo hoo."

Candice raised her staff in anger and fired a powerful magical blast at Maleficent who managed to duck out of the way.

"Ah!" Maleficent smiled in delight. "You're angry. Perhaps there's still time to turn you."

"NEVER!" Candice barked.

"Never say never," Maleficent said in a self-assured tone of voice.

"You're under arrest!" Candice ordered.

"You'll have to defeat me, first," Maleficent countered. "Sure you're up to the task?"

"Bring it!" Candice dared Maleficent.

"Your funeral, honey," Maleficent said as she lunged at Candice who countered by decking Maleficent in the jaw.

"Take that, hag!" Candice spat.

"Take that, goodie goodie!" Maleficent barked as she decked Candice in the face.

"Why you!" Candice yelled in anger as she lunged toward Maleficent, hitting Maleficent in the face with fist blows.

"Stop!" Maleficent cried out in pain as she dropped to her knees.

"I'm watching you," Candice warned as she stood over Maleficent.

Maleficent clutched her hand in the dirt ... and threw the dirt at Candice's face as Candice ducked just in time.

"Told you I was watching you," Candice sneered.

Maleficent quickly rose to her feet and lunged at Candice. The two then exchanged fist blows on each other. At one point, Maleficent grabbed Candice and threw Candice to the ground.

"As much as you'd try, you can't defeat me, Candice," Maleficent boasted.

"I guess you're right," Candice admitted.

"Well, you have some sense after all," Maleficent acknowledged. "Nice to see that stuck with you."

"You could help me up," Candice suggested.

"Oh, what the hell," Maleficent agreed. "For old time's sake."

Maleficent extended a hand and helped Candice to her feet. As Candice stood up, she quickly brought out a tranquilizer pistol and shot Maleficent in the chest with a tranquilizer dart.

"What?!" Maleficent cried out in surprise as the tranquilizer started taking effect. Maleficent then started getting tired. "Well played," Maleficent praised in a groggy tone of voice. "That's my girl."

Maleficent fell to the ground unconscious as Dorrie ran up.

"You okay?" Dorrie asked Candice, concerned.

"I'll be fine," Candice answered in a reassuring voice. "We've better get Maleficent back to the others."

Dorrie and Candice dragged the unconscious Maleficent out of the forest to where the forces of good from Auradon were waiting. As they approached, Dorrie and Candice noticed that all the adult villains were unconscious, and some villain babies were crying on the ground.

"It's over," Candice announced as she and Dorrie laid Maleficent on the ground.

"How long does this tranquilizer last, again?" Dorrie wanted to know.

"Twelve to fifteen hours," Dana informed Dorrie. "It's quite powerful."

"Who developed this tranquilizer, to begin with?" Candice asked, curious.

"Doctor Maisha McStuffins," Dana answered.

"What?!" Dorrie and Candice exclaimed in shock.

"Our Doctor Maisha McStuffins?" Candice asked in shock.

"She and her husband are undercover Voyagers," Fox announced as he walked up.

"Well, if I'll be damned," Dorrie said, taken off guard.

"We've better get these villains to the Isle of the Lost," Beast directed. "What about the babies?"

"I'm afraid they will have to go to the Isle as well," Candice quietly answered. "They will grow up on the Isle to be important down the road. That's all I can tell you without giving away too much."

"It seems a bit harsh to send the babies to the Isle," Fairy Godmother said as she walked up. "Isn't there a way to raise them here in Auradon?"

"Unfortunately, they have to grow up on the Isle to maintain the timeline," Dorrie said in an apologetic tone of voice. "No, it's not fair. But, it's the way it has to be."

"Before we put them on the Isle with their parents, we'll make sure they are well fed," Fairy Godmother directed. "It's the least we can do."

"Agreed," Beast acknowledged as a male security guard ran up.

"Your Majesty," the guard started. "Professor Thascalos has escaped."

"Damn it!" Candice exclaimed in anger. "Get me to Professor Thascalos' lab immediately!"

"I'll come with you," Dorrie said to Candice.

The security guard quickly drove Dorrie and Candice to Professor Thascalos' lab. Upon entering the lab, they discovered a group of unconscious security guards. They also looked to see that Missy's Tardis was gone.

"She's made a clean escape," Dorrie noted, disgusted.

"Well, we can't cry over spilled milk," Candice advised. "What's done is done."

October 10, 2000

On the Isle of the Lost, the villains awoke. The babies were close by.

"Where are we?" Maleficent wondered out loud as she raised her staff. She tried to fire off a magical blast, but couldn't. "My powers are gone!" Maleficent cried out in terror.

The other villains tried to use their magical powers, but they found that their powers were gone, too.

"That bridge must lead to Auradon," Evil Queen theorized.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Cruella De Vil asked.

"Let's go!" Maleficent ordered as the villains picked up the babies and made a run for it. Maleficent and the villains ran toward the bridge but were stopped by a powerful magical force field.

"Damn it!" Maleficent yelled in anger.

"Now what?" Evil Queen asked, defeated.

"We live out our lives ... in Hell," Maleficent quietly responded.

Meanwhile, in Auradon at the royal palace, King Beast, Fairy Godmother, and Scarlett were meeting with Dorrie and Candice. Fox and Dana had returned to Voyager Command.

"Well, that's it, then," Beast noted.

"The villains are safely locked up on the Isle," Fairy Godmother added.

"We've better get going," Dorrie said on behalf of herself and Candice. "Where's Mallory?"

"Right here," Queen Belle reported as she and seven-year-old Mallory walked in. Mallory then walked over to Dorrie and Candice.

"I'm ready," Mallory stated.

"And after you've introduced Mallory to Cornelia, make sure to get the Monkey Talisman to my past self," Scarlett reminded Dorrie and Candice.

"Why exactly were we collecting talismans?" Candice wanted to know.

"I'll let my past self explain that," Scarlett answered. "I'm sure once she explains what is going on, you'll understand the urgency of the situation."

"Very well, then," Dorrie acknowledged as she and Candice adjusted the dials on their Omnis. The green light on each Omni flashed on, indicating that everything was normal with the timeline.

"Take my hand, Mallory," Candice gently directed.

"Yes, Aunt Candice," Mallory happily said before turning to the others. "Aunt Candice said it was okay for me to call her that."

"We've better be going," Dorrie said as she and Candice each pressed a button on their Omnis. In a few moments, Dorrie, Candice, and Mallory disappeared into thin air.

June 4, 1872

In Enchancia, it was about an hour since Dorrie and Candice had left. Dorrie, Candice, and Mallory found themselves on the outskirts of the Village of Dunwiddie.

"Wow!" Mallory exclaimed in glee. "That time vortex ride was fun!"

"Remember, Mallory," Candice began. "This time travel thing is between the three of us."

"Mum's the word, Aunt Candice," Mallory promised.

Dorrie, Candice, and Mallory walked to Cornelia Rose's house. Once at Cornelia's house, Dorrie knocked on the front door. In a few moments, Cornelia answered the door.

"Dorrie, Candice," Cornelia smiled. "A pleasure to see you."

"The pleasure is ours, Cornelia," Dorrie smiled. "We've brought company with us."

Cornelia looked to see Mallory standing there. Tears of happiness then formed in Cornelia's eyes.

"Mal?" Cornelia asked. "Is that ... you?"

"Yes, ma'am," Mallory smiled.

"How?" Cornelia wanted to know.

"Maleficent took her to a far-off land," Candice explained. "Maleficent has been imprisoned along with other villains. We got Mallory out of there and brought her here."

"Please, come in," Cornelia invited. "Come into the living room where we can talk."

Dorrie, Candice, and Mallory sat down as Cornelia served refreshments.

"With Maleficent locked up, what happens to Mal, I mean Mallory, now?" Cornelia asked.

"Maleficent and the others aren't coming back," Dorrie reported. "Mallory needs a home, and she needs a mother. Candice and I were hoping you could be her mother."

"I would be delighted," Cornelia said as happy tears streamed down her face.

"Mom?" Mallory asked as she looked at Cornelia.

"Yes, sweetheart," Cornelia happily acknowledged. "I'm going to be your mother. And you're going to be my daughter."

Cornelia and Mallory hugged each other as Dorrie and Candice smiled at the happy scene.

"What about the official adoption procedure?" Cornelia asked Dorrie and Candice.

"We'll talk to Mrs. Tweedle," Dorrie promised on behalf of herself and Candice.

"Mrs. Tweedle will be happy that Mallory has a ready-made home and mother," Candice smiled. "Dorrie and I know she'll approve."

"We've best be going," Dorrie announced. "We'll have Mrs. Tweedle get in touch with you to iron out the official details."

As Dorrie and Candice left, they looked back to see Cornelia happily showing Mallory around the house. Everything was going to be okay with the two of them.

A few hours later at Enchancia Castle

Dorrie and Candice had talked to Mrs. Tweedle about the situation with Cornelia and Mallory. Mrs. Tweedle was happy to learn that Mallory had found a mother and home and promised to move the adoption forward as fast as possible. As Dorrie and Candice walked into Enchancia Castle, Baileywick greeted them.

"Princess Dorrie, Princess Candice," Baileywick smiled. "Queen Scarlett is here. She's with King Roland, Queen Miranda, and your mother in the sitting room."

"Thank you Mister Baileywick," Dorrie acknowledged as she and Candice headed to the sitting room. As they entered the sitting room, they saw that a conversation was going on.

Scarlett stood before Roland and Miranda as well as Violet in the throne room with a smile on her face.

"Scarlett," Roland said as the warrior queen nodded to him. "I believe you have proven time and time again that you are willing to do anything for our children."

"Guilty as charged," Scarlett smiled. "I don't know what it is about them, but I somehow feel they're different than the others who had my amulets before them."

"I can see why," Violet chuckled as Scarlett bashfully brushed her hair back.

"We've been discussing this for awhile and we all came to the same decision," Roland told Scarlett. "How'd you like to officially be our children's godmother?"

"I thought you'd never ask," Scarlett agreed with a chuckle.

"Great!" Roland exclaimed, pleased.

"Queen Scarlett, godmother to the Enchancian royal children," Candice smiled.

"Also godmother to you, Dorrie, and Abby," Violet added.

"Well, I'll be," Candice acknowledged, impressed.

"I believe you, Dorrie, and Candice have business to discuss," Roland said to Scarlett.

"Yes," Scarlett acknowledged. "And thank you for the honor, Roland."

"You're very welcome, Scarlett," Roland smiled as he, Miranda, and Violet left.

"Do you have the Monkey Talisman?" Scarlett asked Dorrie and Candice.

"Yes," Dorrie answered.

"Good," Scarlett said, relieved. "Give it to me. We need to get to The Secret Library."

"Why?" Candice asked, curious, as Dorrie handed the Monkey Talisman to Scarlett.

"You'll see," Scarlett winked.

Scarlett, Dorrie, and Candice used their wands to magically transport themselves inside of The Secret Library. As Dorrie and Candice looked around, they noticed The Doctor's Tardis sitting to one side.

"The Doctor's here?" Candice asked, taken off guard.

At that moment, the fourth Doctor emerged from his Tardis, followed by his latest companion, the second version of Romana.

"Ah!" The Doctor smiled at Dorrie and Candice. "There you are. It's been a while since we met on Bulthane Four. Well, at least a while for me."

"I'm Romana," the second version of Romana introduced herself to Dorrie and Candice. "The Doctor has told me all about you."

"Nice to meet you," Candice smiled at Romana.

"What brings the two of you here?" Dorrie asked The Doctor and Romana, curious.

"The talismans," The Doctor answered. "The version of me you see now had Scarlett round up all the talismans."

"Why?" Candice asked.

"They weren't safe in their original locations," The Doctor explained. "There's an evil being looking to use the talismans for evil purposes. He's known as The Black Guardian."

"We've heard of The Black Guardian," Dorrie revealed. "One of your future regeneration's told us about The Black Guardian, along with The Black Guardian's good counterpart, The White Guardian. Funny how the future you didn't tell us about The Black Guardian and the talismans."

"Well," The Doctor started, "he had to protect the timeline just as you Voyagers protect the timeline."

"Makes sense," Dorrie acknowledged.

"So, now what?" Candice wanted to know as Scarlett handed the talismans to The Doctor and Romana.

"Romana and I take the talismans you've collected and scatter them through time," The Doctor answered.

"We'll put them in places where The Black Guardian will never find them," Romana added.

"It's okay, ladies," Scarlett said in a reassuring voice to Dorrie and Candice. "This has been the plan all along."

"And the two of you, along with your friends, have done an outstanding job in gathering them," The Doctor smiled at Dorrie and Candice. "Your efforts have been much appreciated."

"We've best be off," Romana said to The Doctor. "We want to get the talismans out of here before The Black Guardian tracks them here."

"Quite right," The Doctor agreed as he turned back to Dorrie and Candice. "It was good seeing the two of you again. Thank you for your help. See you out there at some point."

The Doctor and Romana took the talismans and walked into The Doctor's Tardis, closing the Tardis doors behind them. In a few moments, The Doctor's Tardis made it's familiar whirring sound as it disappeared into thin air.

"Well, that's it, then," Dorrie remarked.

"Know that you, Candice, and the others have done a great service," Scarlett gently said to Dorrie. "All of you have prevented the talismans from falling into the hands of The Black Guardian. We've better get back to the castle. I'll bet King Roland is planning a special dinner to celebrate me becoming a godmother."

"And a well deserved honor it is, Scarlett," Candice smiled.

Scarlett, Dorrie, and Candice raised their wands above their heads and disappeared from The Secret Library. Upon returning to the castle, Scarlett, Dorrie, and Candice discovered that King Roland had indeed planned a special dinner for that night.

"We've best get ready, then," Scarlett said as she walked off toward her guest room.

Dorrie and Candice walked off toward the side of the castle where wagons with supplies for the castle were usually unloaded. As Dorrie and Candice stepped outside, they saw a wagon approach with Steffan Lorich and the Lorich's eight-year-old adopted daughter (Juliet) aboard.

"A fresh supply of cut wood, as requested by Chef Andre," Steffan announced to two male servants. As the servants unloaded the wood, Dorrie and Candice walked up.

"Hello, Mister Lorich," Dorrie greeted.

"Princess Dorrie, Princess Candice," Steffan cheerfully acknowledged.

"Princesses," Juliet smiled.

"How are you doing?" Candice asked Juliet.

"I'm doing well, Princess," Juliet answered.

"Juliet is fitting into our family nicely," Steffan proudly reported. "We really love her so much."

"Adoption can be a wonderful thing," Dorrie happily remarked. "Candice and I can testify to that."

Steffan and Juliet smiled in agreement.

"The wood is unloaded, sir," one of the male servants announced to Steffan.

"We've better be on our way," Steffan announced on behalf of himself and Juliet. "It was nice seeing you, Princesses."

"See you, Princesses," Juliet happily added.

As the wagon carrying Steffan and Juliet left, Dorrie and Candice smiled as Steffan and Juliet happily talked to each other.

That night, King Roland threw a wonderful dinner party for Scarlett, the royal children of Enchancia, Queen Miranda, Dorrie, Candice, Violet, Abby, and Abby's parents. Everybody had an excellent time.

As everybody talked during dinner, Scarlett looked around the dining room and smiled as everybody had a happy time. Everything was right with the world.
