Okay. My name is Preston Ward Condra.
And what this project entails, rather than admittedly being a fanfiction itself?
It's about me, just riding around throughout the months of 2021-2022 in downtown San Antonio, listening to music.
I always wanted to do this experiment and see what, really was one of the most overplayed songs on the radio.
Basically? I was putting my life in danger, listening to music and jotting down every song that came on the radio down on a piece of paper.
It was a very dangerous thing to do, I never had done anything like that so before.
And I likely won't ever do anything like that again.
This is a one-and-done-and-one-time project.
Quite frankly? I really don't care what song ends up "winning" in this project.
I'm just here for trying something new out.
I would swerve into the opposing lane, quickly jotting down with a purple marker, writing down what song I just heard on the radio.
Why exactly am I doing this?
There's no favoritism into a project like this.
Basically, any song I heard throughout while driving my car on the road/radio, I quickly wrote it down.
Even if it was only for 2-3 seconds, I would jot it down.
God as my only witness, I could never remember what song played on what radio station.
I'm not going to worry about that.
You'll learn about music politics essentially here as certain stations in San Antonio, are going to be treated better than somewhere else like Detroit, New York City, Chicago, Miami or even Houston or Dallas.
Not just better, some radio stations here in San Antonio, are far worse to withstand listening to where you live.
I didn't do this for very long obviously. It's pretty dangerous to do something like that.
I did this as a "New Year's Resolution" planning it for every single day in 2022.
Of course, I came to my senses and dropped the project after a few months or so.
But it was fun calculating and counting all of this.
There's no Sirius XM here.
Songs that came on while I was at the mall, or a restaurant will not count.
It has to be a song, I actually heard while driving my car.
Liking a song and listening to it, all the way through won't matter here.
After all, I'm driving to this music and have to pay attention, to what I'm doing.
Certain days I'm going to be driving longer and shorter than others, so I don't think that will matter here.
No Spotify crap here. No YouTube playlists here. No Apple music. No random playlists. No Sirius XM. No burned CD's.
It has to be a song that I actually heard on the radio.
I'll organize all of this by month, as I did this for a decent chunk of time before giving up on the project.
It was fun though.
Well, enjoy reading this now ladies and gentlemen.
