96.7 KISS FM

This is an actual radio station up in Austin. It surprisingly comes out, crystal clear when I'm driving on the road, even though Austin is about 90 minutes away from San Antonio. Mostly a pop-centric radio station. They co-host Ryan Seacrest's Top 40 radio station and countdown on Sunday mornings. Other skits include "Dirty Little Secret" and "The Jubilee Show" where they talk about ghosting conversations and teen-centric boyfriend/girlfriend break-ups and soap opera drama. It's not that bad of a radio station.

98.5 THE BEAT

A rap station in San Antonio. It is, what it sounds like. They get bored of their own music, real fast and play as much-up-to-date as possible. Even more so than the other radio stations on this list.

102.7 JACK FM

A radio station in San Antonio. It's tagline is "Playing what we want. Everything." You'll hear Linkin Park, Nelly The Doors, The Doobie Brothers, Matchbox 20, No Doubt, Imagine Dragons, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, you name it. I feel like it's a radio station, catered to playing the most popular #1 songs from the Billboard Hot 100. It's a fine radio station. Often goes-off the air to playback Dallas Cowboys games, when it's football season. No radio at all on Sunday nights for this reason.

100.3 Y100

It's a country station in San Antonio. No real surprises to speak of here, honestly.

107.5 Vibe

A fairly new radio station that didn't get started until 2019. Hosted by Xavier The Frickin' Rican Castro. He hosts the "15 Minutes Of Fire" in the morning, with remixes of songs. He's an excellent DJ with an excellent voice. The only music that plays on this radio station are classic 90's-early 2000's rap music.

101.1 KONO

A radio station that plays "San Antonio Greatest Hits" Eff them for playing "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal and not even finishing playing the song in it's entirety, jumping scaring me and nearly rupturing my eardrum. They ended the song early, for no reason whatsoever and advertised a commercial at a high volume where, I again nearly ruptured my eardrum.

105.3 Magic

A family-friendly radio station in San Antonio. A pretty generic adult contemporary radio station.

106.7 The Eagle

Taglined as "San Antonio's only classic rock radio station" Yeah, right. Maybe that's because it's THE only one in San Antonio, despite the fact that we have 1.7 million people and it's the seventh largest city in the US. Sigh.

101.9 Q

The tagline for this radio station is "playing the best of the 80's, 90's and today" Fairly boring radio station and nothing out of the ordinary, other than they play Christmas themed music, during the holidays and ONLY just Christmas music throughout the month of December.

96.1 NOW

A weird mix of pop, R&B and rap, is mostly featured on this radio station. I didn't even know it existed until 2020. Often plays a "Throwback Fourpack" during noon, featuring four songs from over 10 years ago. And by the "Throwback Fourpack" they'll repeat the same four songs on circulation for two weeks straight, trying to make sure you're not paying attention. We get it, you guys play Rihanna and Lady GaGa at noon. Like I didn't notice you play the songs in the same order even. Really. I wouldn't know, right?

99.5 KISS

Oh, god. I have a lot to say here. It's San Antonio's rock station. Breaking Benjamin, 30 Seconds To Mars, Shinedown you name it. There is an EXTREMELY ANNOYING DJ on this radio station. His name is Billy Madison. Not be confused with the character-same name from the Adam Sandler movie. His show comes on at 5:00 am to 10:00 am in San Antonio. I've heard this "Billy Madison" guy come on the radio since 2012 - over 10 years now. And literally? All he ever does is crack sex jokes, unfunny banter, awful, unscrupulous stories of people getting killed, divorced, penis jokes, lost children, kidnapped children, shootings and jokes catered to people who never grew past puberty. He's annoying as hell and does it and been acting like that - for over 10 years since I started driving my car in 2012 when I was 18. Ever wonder why I rarely if ever - discuss rock music here? That's why. And you have to deal with listening to the Billy Madison Show. It's on air 24/7 from M-F from 5:00 am to 10:00 am. No rock music ever plays on this radio station until 11:00 am. Jesus. No rock music ever plays on this radio station from 5:00 am to 10:00 am. So a rock song? Likely won't win this. No good Google search even turns up much, about Billy Madison in San Antonio. Pfft.

103.5 BOB FM

The last of the twelve radio stations. It's actually an Austin radio station. Very similar to Jack FM - where they pretty much will play anything from The Rolling Stones to Christina Aguilera to 3 Doors Down to Don McLean. Listening to American Pie and then it's a Genie In A Bottle within a few minutes. I'm serious. However? The sound quality of this radio station in San Antonio is awful. It's bad. Constant static issues plaque this radio station. I only have this saved in my car, as a last resort option. Only works whenever it feels like it, it seems.

Well, those are options.

What will be the most overplayed song on these radio stations with what I jotted down, while driving my car?

Let's find out ladies and gentlemen.

Please proceed to the next chapter.
