A/N: Happy new year everyone! Here I am starting the year with an update to this fic

Have you guys heard? There's going to be an official bill cipher book release. I'm too broke to buy one so I'm just gonna wait until someone just post the contents when its officially out LoL...

Hopefully it doesn't have information that contradicts too much with the info in this au but if it does oh well. This is an alternative universe after all...

Anyways hope you still enjoy it.

It had been yet another uneventful year since the discovery of little Vee, who was now officially a Noceda. Nothing of significance had occurred besides the mundane routine of studying magic (in secret), attending pointless therapy sessions, and enduring other monotonous tasks such as going to school, which she had moved up by only one meager level.

However, a recent development had sparked her interest in baking (it wasn't her first choice, mind you). Mango had suggested that she take up a hobby to combat her violent and chaotic thought process, which she had initially found ridiculous. She believed that a hobby could not exert any control over her decisions in this cursed life.

Her parents seemed to support the idea, so she didn't really have a choice in the matter anyway. Nevertheless, she had to reluctantly admit that baking had become a source of some semblance of enjoyment for her, especially when it came to molding the dough and making all sorts of cryptid-themed baked goods, like a cake in the likeness of an axolotl (which she proceeded to smash with a rolling pin). It reminded her of the time when she was still able to mold someone's face to rearrange the functions of their holes. Although she lamented the loss of her former abilities, she no longer saw the point in complaining too much. But she could proudly say that her baking skills would make many so-called professionals envious.

She got a special kind of satisfaction when her family tried out a batch of demon-shaped cookies she had made, and naturally, they showered her with praise for it. And to think Manny wanted to help her because he was worried she might get hurt. What did he take her for? An idiot? Hah! In his face. Bill Cipher didn't need help when it came to trivial hobbies like this.

She might consider playing baseball, mostly because she got to use a blunt weapon, but maybe when she had free time.

On the other hand, she had tried her hand at puppetry (not the sock or cotton ones, but rather the ones made of wood and mannequins).

Fortunately, despite her current limitations, she had managed to incorporate puppets into her skill set as they made up for certain disadvantages she had. She would admit that she got the idea after watching a cartoon made by those crazies in Japan about some stupid ninja kid who wanted to be the supreme leader or something. She had to say it was okay from what she had seen so far...not that she actually truly enjoyed whatever media these humans could make, except when it contained a huge amount of blood and violence that she could laugh at.

Still, she hated how that scorpion guy lacked common sense when he had the tools to ensure victory. She thought he was an idiot for letting himself get killed when he could have won, all because of his stupid emotions.

That was a mistake she would never make.

Anyway, her family was just as annoying as before. Father was still the same idiot, although she noticed he had been getting tired a lot more easily even after only doing menial tasks. Probably old age, which reminded her. She needed to start working on finding the fountain of youth or any other ways to get immortality again, as unfortunately, humans had a mere lifespan of 100 years, give or take, which was way too short for a being like her who had lived for a trillion years.

Mother was also the same, but unfortunately, at one point, the vile woman had begun to ask too many questions about her activities. Fortunately, she managed to keep her from finding out too much. All it took was a simple charm spell, which did the trick.

She didn't tell the idiot or Vee because they would definitely overreact. It's not like she made the vile woman a mindless drone or anything. She was just keeping her own secret safe, which was a good reason.

As for Vee, though, the little frilly had, to her surprise, exceeded her expectations. She had seemingly adapted to Earth quite well. Although she was still a wuss, and much to her annoyance, for some reason, they had latched onto her - as in, they would follow her around and simply stay in close proximity, which was really irritating. They were lucky they hadn't done anything to warrant her retribution, so for now, she was tolerating her constant presence, even if the annoying parents thought it was cute that Vee was attached to her big sister. And she had discovered that Vee had the ability to eat magic and shapeshift (which she used to craft her human disguise as another child of the Noceda family), so she was definitely going to have to make use of the little frilly's particular set of skills in the future when the time came.

So yeah. Other than that, nothing of importance had happened. Earth was still around. Unfortunately, no alien invasion by a more advanced species had happened yet, so these humans would stop fighting among themselves like idiots. She might have to get involved in their silly politics in the future at this rate. It was time someone got this stupid species on the track to being more advanced. At least this way, she could be a little less embarrassed about being a human. Nothing a little tyranny couldn't fix.

But at the moment, she had bigger problems to deal with...human children.

A sharp cry came from a little girl with a tooth gap having her hair pulled by a bully. Bill Luz rolled her eyes at this.

Some blondie girl was pulling a pigtail as she let out an annoying laugh that reminded her of stupid rich people. The other kids also laughed at the girl's crying.

Bill Luz scoffed at the sight of them. She never liked bullies. Not because of some human perception that what they do is wrong. If anything, this is the equivalent of natural selection in nature, but these types of bullies are just pathetic; they're only exerting imaginary strength. It's all just an illusion of being strong by preying on the weak. If Tooth Gap had any guts or brains, she would fight back. These spineless cowards always flee at the sight of resistance, so they always go for the weak ones just so they can feel like they're in control. This would be amusing if it wasn't so pathetic to watch.

Of course, before they also tried to mess with her, but one curse later, and everyone now knew to leave her alone unless they didn't value their pathetic lives.

This was why she was able to read her book in peace under the shade of the only tree on the playground behind the school, while everyone made the wise choice to not even approach her territory or look in her general direction out of fear of earning her ire.

While her setup was quite preferable, unfortunately, she was unable to fully enjoy her reading as she currently had none other than Vee, who was still following her around everywhere like a stupid puppy, sitting right next to her and being a pain in the... buttocks.

"The little frilly is so lucky she had her future uses; otherwise, I would have kicked her out for the other kids to haze...oh, and the parents would nag my ear off for hurting her 'sister'," Bill Luz muttered to herself. "I could call her a parasite that I can't shake off, but Mango says that's rude."

Usually Vee seems content to just be by her side and not say anything which was a wise choice. But today it seems something was bothering the little frilly.

She really really didn't want to ask but it was really annoying looking at Vee who obviously wanted to say something but can't seem to spit it out. Just say something damn it!

"Ok your face is annoying me. What's the problem?" Bill Luz asked making a small effort to hide the annoyance in her tone.

"I...I don't like what they're doing to her" Vee said in a small voice while pointing to the bullies messing with the crying girl.

"For someone who was made in lab I half expected you to be more selfish at least" Bill Luz commented but this only made Vee frown "Look Vee. What you're seeing there is natural selection in nature. Either you fight back and take the wheel in this pathetic mortal existence or you just lie down and die a useless coward who never amounted to anything. Besides it's tooth gap's fault there for not fighting back. If she had any guts she would punch Blondie in the face to get her and her idiots to stop"

"B-But you could stop it. You stopped it when Clara tried to do the same to me" Vee argued back. She remembered during her first day of school, Clara had tried to make fun of her but her sister Luz pushed the bully down and threatened her with something called a curse.

Bill Luz pinched the bridge of her nose "That was different. You're..." She hesitated "If I didn't do anything the vile woman would have nagged me to death for letting you get lynched by these morons. Tooth Gap over there is just a total stranger whom I have no obligation in helping. Besides being the hero is just not worth it. It won't get you anything but pain and misery" she said with finality in her tone before going back to reading.

Unfortunately she did a spit take when she saw Vee walking up to Clara and her bullies in an attempt to be the hero.

"That moron" Bill Luz said as she put away her book. She can't even spend one stupid break relaxing.

Without wasting anymore time she walked up to the group.

Fortunately Vee hasn't said anything mostly because she was gathering the courage to speak up to the bullies who haven't noticed her yet.

Vee seemed happy to see that she was interfering but she ignored that.

"Alright that's enough. You're all being an eyesore" Bill Luz spoke up which got the attention of the group, she narrowed her eyes at one of Blondie's minions, another girl pulling at tooth gap's hair. They seem to freeze in fear at her glare which caused them to let go and run next to Blondie like a coward

"What do y-you want! We're only playing!" Minion 1 whined in defense before looking at Minion 2 next to Blondie.

The other girl nodded in agreement. "Y-Yyeah, we're only having fun! We weren't hurting anyone!"

"Could have fooled me" Bill Luz eyeing the bruises and pieces of hair that was pulled out of Tooth Gap "I'm in a good mood today so I'm going to let you three off with a warning as long as you all run off and never bother Tooth Gap over here"

"Why? She's not your friend" Blondie questioned her. She was really starting to dislike this one a lot. Not only was she annoying she also asked too much questions in a vain attempt to look like she was standing up to her.

"Oh I could care less about her. It's just really annoying listening to her cry all day and more irritating watching you three 'play' with her so yeah. Scram you morons unless you fancy being turned into toads for a week" Bill Luz threatened with a shooing gesture.

Minions 1 and 2 immediately ran off but Clara seemed to want to get the last word but when she started reaching for her book they also ran away like a mutt and started harping about how she will tell her mom about this. Yeah right that is if that woman isn't busy sleeping around.

"Are you ok?" Bill Luz turned to see Vee help up Tooth Gap "What's your name?"

"M-Masha. W-Why did you help me?" Tooth gap seem to look at Bill Luz with fear. Like everyone else she was scared of the creepy girl but at the same time she had been surprised that she helped her. She wondered if she had a hidden agenda like taking her teeth for her rituals.

"Because it was the right thing to do" Vee said as she helped Masha up, which earned an eyeroll from Bill Luz

Bill Luz though couldn't care less about this. Her mood has been spoiled now and her day was ruined with all this. Normally she would use this opportunity to make a person like this her minion but she had no use for such a pathetic kid who can't even defend herself and she wasn't interested in some empty thank yous from tooth gap.

Someone is going soft

Admit it you enjoyed helping that poor little girl

Why do you continue to pretend to be something you're not?

And here I thought you didn't like being the hero

"Shut up" she barked out. Great she's hearing voices again.

With how frequent they're becoming she might just carve out her own brain.

Seriously. The idea of her being a hero? She would rather gouge her eyes out...

A/N:

Bet none of you imagined Bill as a baker LoL. And I think we all know what Asian cartoon she was talking about hehehe.

I probably shouldn't ask but what are some things you hope to see in the future of this AU. Just curious.

Oh and A little announcement for those who are staying tuned on my other stories. As part of my resolution for this year to get better at writing and more organized. I plan to try finishing this story first before continuing them. That way I don't get swamped working on multiple ones at the same time

Well anyways see you readers next time.

Five more chapters to go.
