Lightning drove the Bolt out to meet Doc at Willy's butte. Doc stood there, waiting. Leaning on his old blue race car. Lightning pulled up and stopped, got out and quickly began whining. "Why do I need to train Doc?... You've taught me just about everything and I told you.. I agreed to loose.. There is no reason to train.." Doc's brows lowered. "You are pathetic." The old man growled. Lightning stared in confusion. "What?.." He asked.

Doc shook his head and continued. "You stink at racing, gave up because of one damn car and look at you. You're nothing but a blue eyed pretty boy looking to get his name in the papers." "Excuse me!?" Lightning snapped. "I think someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Doc stepped up and shoved Lightning against the car. Lightning was so confused. "Woah, Doc! Hey!" Doc shoved Lightning's shoulder again and explained. "There will always be dirty racers out there son. Always someone trying to push your buttons and get under your skin." "So?.." "So you have to learn to deal with it. On and off the track."

Lightning stared all confused and a bit more angry now. "You called me out here to push me around?! What the heck is wrong with you Doc!?" Asked Lightning. Doc then ordered Lightning to get into the race car and drive. Lightning sighed and got in as his coach said. Doc got into his and gunned it. Lightning peeled out and sped off right behind the old racer. Gaining up on him at the first turn, Doc looked over then BAM! Shoved his car into Lightning's! Lightning was shoved off the track a bit and came to a stop. Doc hit the brakes, stopped and got out.

Lightning looked over and yelled "Hey! What was that for!?" Doc approached answering "Dirty racing! Today, you learn how to defend yourself." "But I"-"Don't go off the track." Doc ordered. "Let's start again." he then walked back to his car. Lightning sighed and backed up and pulled back around for the restart.

Both racers sped off through the dirt track! Lightning thought Doc might ram him off the track again at the first turn, so the kid eased up and let Doc have room on the first and second turn. On the stretch out, Lightning gunned it to pass the old man, and Doc let him. Until the nose of Doc's car met with Lightning's rear wheel. Doc nudged him slightly. This turned Lightning sideways and off track into a spin into the dirt and sand and to a stop. Doc hit the brakes on his car and pulled up to Lightning ordering "Again." Lightning was exhausted and didn't even want to do this and Doc knew it, but he was pushing the kid.

Same outcome over and over. Doc would shove Lightning to a stop off track. Using different tactics and maneuvers each time! Getting Lightning more and more angry and thus the kid was driving more and more reckless each time.

Again.

Again.

AGAIN!

Each time! Again and again!

Lightning hit the brakes and came to a stop. Dust flew up and he hit the steering wheel! Doc pulled up to the kid and said "Again." Lightning had enough though and yelled "NO! I'm done! I'm finished! I am tired! I am hot! I am dirty and I smell and I want to go home! I want to go to my girlfriend and I want to lay down and sleep! I want to sleep DOC!" Don't think Lightning talked to Doc like that ever before really. Doc snickered asking "Oh ho.. You think because you got a big name and a pretty girlfriend you can do whatever you want hot shot?" Lightning's jaw dropped. "Not what I said at all Doc!" "Funny. All I heard was whining. Again." The old grump ordered. Lightning growled loudly and hit the dash of the Bolt hard! He was sick of this!

Again.

AGAIN.

AND AGAIN!

Lightning cussed! He kicked the car! He hit the wheel! He yelled in frustration! Feeling like it was impossible. It got late. Dark. Again.

Lightning gunned it wide open down the stretch! Forget playing nice! He just wanted this to be over! Lightning looked back and couldn't see Doc behind him. GOOD! Then suddenly, The rear shook and Lightning lost grip! The car spun back and forth for a moment and he hit the brakes. Drifting to a stop off track. Again... Doc zoomed right by then slowed and came around and pulled up next to Lightning's car and asked "Why didn't you do something?" Lightning growled in anger and yelled! "I didn't even see you were behind me!" "Because the dust cloud made by your car. Gotta remember that on dirt." Doc reminded.

Lightning had enough of this! "NO! NO, I don't even race on dirt! I race on asphalt! Nascar! In a dam circle! I am sick of this racing dirty thing you have going! Why are you even teaching me this!? Half the moves you were pulling are illegal!" Doc nodded and explained. "Because I have always taught you to win. I have taught you how to race against good clean racing. Time you learn how to race against racers that don't care about the term friendly competition and would rather see you slam into a wall then finish in last place and most importantly, because I am your coach and I said so." Lightning glared at the old man. hating this.

"Now go home. Get some rest. See you first thing in the morning." Doc added. Lightning's jaw dropped. "WHAT!... Why? Don't I get a break?.." He whined. Doc shook his head answering "You can take a break when your hands are blistered up from how tight you grip that wheel and your back hurts from the seat and your stomach cramps up from sitting so long. Five a.m sharp. Don't be late or I'll only make it harder on you." Lightning hated this. How dare Doc push him like this!

5 am.

Lightning pulled up to the dirt track to find Doc waiting. Lightning parked next to Doc then got out the Bolt and approached his coach and quickly apologized for last night. "Sorry how I acted yesterday.. I was.. Tired..." Doc nodded and assured the kid it was alright and that he understood. Lightning then pitifully asked "Can we.. I don't know... Not practice.. Crashing? I still have a headache from getting flung around like a pinball last night."

Doc's brows lowered. "That wasn't practicing crashing, that was practicing racing with a rough driver on the track." Lightning rolled his eyes and asked "Doc... Please.. I can't take much more. I get slung around by Kyle every weekend and I don't think I can handle being slung around by you during the week.. Please.." Doc snickered then said. "Well that's just too bad. Let's begin." Oh Lightning hated this. But he got into the car and began another day of stupid crashing.. Over and over. Bam, Cruch! Clank! SHAM! BANG!

"AAH!" Lightning shouted as he sat up quick. He breathed heavily as he panted and looked over to see Sally still passed out asleep. He was all sweaty and his heart was racing fast and hard inside his chest. Lightning took a deep and slow breath in then out and calmed himself down. "Only a dream.." He muttered. A dream from the past. One of the worst times Doc ever trained him and know what? Now he wished he could relive those horrible two days over and over again just to be training with Doc. Lightning laid back down, but.. He was up now and couldn't sleep. There was no way he could stop thinking about Doc now. Man he regretted the way he treated Doc that day now. He should have listened. He should have paid more attention. Lightning felt so much pain inside his heart. How was he supposed to deal with this.. This... This empty feeling of brokenness and loss. Lightning got out of bed and walked to the bathroom so he would not disturb Sally's slumber. He turned on the light, shut and locked the door then stared at himself in the mirror. He hadn't been taking care of himself. Eating things he wouldn't normally, letting his hair get a little messy and grown out on the back and sides.. Even some level of facial hair began to grow around his cheeks chin, upper lip. He sighed with such depression. This week was suppose to be about Sally and him. To be a distraction in a way and reconnect with the love of his life! But.. How? Lighting turned on the sink and rinsed his face lightly then dried it with a cloth on the sink. He noticed the small bag next to the toilet. Just their toiletry items. He remembered his meds. He could take a little more than usual and go back to sleep. Just enough to help him sleep and not feel so.. Dead. So that's what he did. He used the running water under the faucet to take the pills before heading back to bed with Sally for the remainder of the night...

Sally lay on her stomach on the massage table, no clothes, with a towel over most of her body while the man rubbed her shoulders firmly, loosening any tense muscles. Lightning sat in a chair in the corner of the room, reading a magazine. Sally let out a very satisfying sigh. "This feels so good Lightning." "That's good, I should hope so." He replied as he turned the page. Sally turned her head to the side and said "You know, you don't have to wait around and watch me get a massage Lightning. Go on and get your own or.. Go relax in the steam room." Lightning nodded, answering "I will, shortly. I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone like this though. I'll wait, I'm fine." And he looked back down at the magazine. Sally sighed then went back to enjoying the massage. "What are you reading anyway?" She asked, a bit muffled by the bed beneath her. Lightning flipped the next page. "Some gossip magazines. Says here Cal and Meg are trying to get pregnant." "What?" Sally asked. "That can't be true. They would have told us, right?" Lightning shrugged, answering "Well there is a photo of them walking out of a fertility clinic. Oddly suspicious." Sally turned her head and stared at Lightning with confusion and curiosity. "Let me see." She snapped. Lightning flipped the magazine around and showed her the photo some journalist got. Sally stared. It was Cal and Meg for sure. "Hmm.. I thought we were closer than that." Sally muttered. Lightning sighed and adjusted himself in the seat before continuing to glance at the booklet. "Yeah, well.. Can't believe everything you see or read with these kinds of people. Remember when there were rumors saying I was engaged to Mia?" Sally snickered and giggled a little. "I sure do!" She answered.

Lightning glared and growled "Hey, you don't have to laugh. It wasn't that funny and I could do a lot worse than Mia." "Sure, okay Stickers." Sally teased. Lightning rolled his eyes and continued to look through the gossip magazine. Sally couldn't help but ask. "Anything about the great Lightning McQueen?" "No.." "You sound disappointed there." "I'm not disappointed, I'm relieved." "Awe.. Do you want petty rumors and photos of you in gossip magazines?" Sally teased. Lightning glared at her then set the magazine back down onto the table with a slap. Sally kind of giggled a bit there at him too. "Look, Lightning... If you want some publicity, maybe you should hire another agent." "Oh no. Harv was enough. I mean you have no idea what it was like when I first came to California, okay? I got hit by a bus or.. Taxi.. Bus?... I can't even remember what it was that hit me." Sally couldn't help but laugh, replying "That explains a lot.." Lightning rolled his eyes and snarled "You don't get it. Hard Made me bleach my teeth, straighten my nose, cut my hair and"-"Oh you poor, pampered thing.." Sally teased. Lightning shook his head and explained. "Not pampered. I am from Texas, Sally. We don't.. Those things." "Some Texans do." "Not the McQueens.." Lightning growled. Sally giggled quietly then said. "I never realized you were in California when you started with Harv ." Lightning nodded. "Yeah, well.. It's not something I want to entirely remember. Starting out, my career sucked." "Well you are a champion now Lightning. I think your days of sucking are over." Sally replied. Lightning sighed. "Nice choice of words there Sal." he growled. Sally thought it was kind of funny though...

So after a massage really, the couple headed to the large bookstore where Sally shopped for and bought a few books for herself. The couple glanced at a few magazines. One with Lightning in it, a few about Cal and Meg. This is when Sally finally decided to text her friend Meg and find out. "There are too many articles about them at the clinic.. I'm going to just ask Meg." Sally announced. Lightning set down the magazine and asked "Shouldn't that be something you wait and let them tell us when they are ready?" Sally grabbed her phone out and paused. Should she wait... "I.. I suppose so.." She mumbled. Suddenly, the couple heard a gasp. They looked behind them to see some woman scream "OH MY GOD! IT'S LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!" The couple's eyes widened and they were quickly approached by quite a few fans that were eager for pictures and autographs of the three time cup champion who was currently in the playoffs...

Lighting shut the door of the cab as they got inside it and fans crowded the door. The driver glanced back with wide eyes and asked "Are you?"-"Lightning McQueen, yes. Can you get us to the motel first?" Lightning asked. The cab driver nodded then hit the gas and drove. Sally suddenly began laughing. Lighting raised a brow and asked "What the hell is so funny?" Sally sighed, answering "You are getting so famous. We couldn't even look at books!" She laughed again. Lighting's brows lowered. "It's not that funny." He scolded. "What is even funny about it. I'm famous. I worked for that fame." He reminded. Sally agreed with a nod. "I know you did Stickers. It's just.. I've been with you since you were pretty much a nobody to the world with the exception of a few race fans and wanna be trophy wives. Would you be a sugar daddy if you never met me?" She asked. Lightning's face turned red! "What?! What-why would you ask that?" he asked. Sally shrugged, answering "Well, you know?.. You are that type." "I am not." He growled. Sally rolled her eyes with a "Yeah, okay." Lightning glared at his girl. He sure didn't see himself as that type and he found it weird that Sally did...

The couple decided to go for a private swim at the high dollar motel after that experience to re-relax you could say. They walked into the brightly lit pool room. Surrounded by beautiful white walls and plants along one wall entirely. The room echoed as they spoke. Sally didn't wait long to go too the deep end of the pool, strip off her long and white cover then hop in. Splashing into the water in a sleek dive. Lightning watched for a moment. Watched her come up out of the water near the corner of the pool. She looked so sexy in the tight white bikini bottoms that peeked the bottom of her ass and the top that looked more like a push up bikini top than a normal one. Her hair wet and shiny, all slicked back. "Come on in, what are you waiting for?" She asked. Lightning sighed then took off his shirt. Sally smiled as she waited for him to come in. He tossed the shirt aside, wearing nothing but these odd, yellow and orange colored swim trunks and slowly walked in. Sally rolled her eyes and teased. "Slow poke." Lightning snickered, replying "You will regret calling me slow in a moment." "Really? When? You're so slow, I doubt that." She teased, crossing her arms. Lightning stared at her a moment then slowly inched more deeper into the water. "Fuck that's cold!" He yelped. It made Sally laugh, but once he was in the water, grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. Sally's chest pressed against his and they gazed into each other's eyes. Sally smiled a little, Lightning leaned in and the two kissed quietly. Neither pulled away any time soon. Instead they continued to make out in a sweet and loving way. It was sexual, but not in a sexual way. They were reconnecting with one another through the kiss that seemed to help them remember who they were as a couple. Lightning's tongue slowly pried into Sally's mouth, gently petting his tongue against hers before she opened up her mouth and fully lodged her tongue into his mouth. Both taking turns rolling and dancing, darting and brushing each other's teeth, tongues and lips together passionately.

Lighting held her elbows in his hands, but not for long. His hands slowly made their way up her arms, to her shoulders, her neck and up to her face where he held her face in his hands, broke the kiss from her soft, velvet, pink lips and murmured "I love you.." Sally closed her eyes and opened her mouth to return verbal affection, but gasped when Lightning suddenly kissed the side of her neck, gently biting with his teeth and letting out a growl. Sally accidentally let out a sexual gasp like moan which sent Lightning over the edge dilating his pupils and turning on that little switch in his brain that made him go crazy. So Lightning suddenly pulled away and stared at Sally with wide eyes, his hands returned to her elbows. Sally blushed and asked "What's wrong?.." Lightning bit his lips as he stared at her breasts. Sally looked down then "Oh." Then back up at him and smiled "Things sure are looking up." Lighting glanced down then turned bright red as he looked back up at his girl. She giggled which really sent him over the edge. She was absolutely beautiful and all his. Lightning pulled her close and kissed her neck again, moving down her shoulder. "Oh Lightning... Lightning.. Stop.. Cameras.." She whispered. Lightning stopped then looked behind them and sure enough in the corner, cameras. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and muttered "I'm hard.." "Well.. Un hard.." Sally ordered quietly, Lightning opened his eyes and glared at her. Sally tried not to laugh. Lightning shook his head and admitted "It's not that easy." "Well.. If you turn around or get out of this pool.. Everyone is going to see it." Sally warned. "Now I can do a lot of repairs as a lawyer, but that will be something I can not make people un-see." She explained softly. Lightning sighed and nodded with "Okay, okay.. Sheesh.. Fuck.."

Sally smiled and asked "So would now be a good time to tease you? Barely touch it? Rub my ass against you?" Lightning and Sally stared at each other for about two, maybe three seconds before Lightning growled with teeth, "You're the fucking devil." "And yet you like it.." Sally whispered in a teasing tone then she got out the pool, ass right in his face as she crawled over the side. She stood over him and joked "Oh look.. I'm all wet." Lightning looked up at her and snapped "You are gonna pay for this." Sally knelt down on her knees and leaned her face closer to the edge and whispered. "First you have to get out of the pool Stickers.." Lightning glared at her. He was absolutely furious with this woman! A voice in the back of his head reminded him to calm down and remember to be gentle with Sally.. Even though he wanted to give her what she deserved now more than ever! "Just think of something that turns you off." Sally explained. Lightning sighed once more then stared at the water. Thinking.. Not thinking about things.. Not looking at the bitch in front of him that he was dating. "Well?" Sally asked as she placed her hands on her hips. Lightning was silent for a moment or two then looked up at her and "There. Happy?" He asked as he got out of the pool and stood before her. Not hard whatsoever. Sally giggled, answering "For now, but I hope your little friend comes back up for a visit in a few." Then she grabbed a towel and began drying off her body then her hair. Lightning rolled his eyes and scolded. "Don't call it that, it;s not little." Sally smirked. She smirked! "I will break you with this thing if you keep acting like that!" He warned. Sally busted out laughing with a "Yeah, okay!" She was doing this on purpose. Pissing him off and teasing him to the point of insanity. Sally dried her hair then put on her cover and began to walk off when Lightning grabbed her arm firmly. It sort of surprised her. She looked at him with a raised brow and he firmly ordered. "Stop. Stop teasing like that. Don't you ever do that again to me." He looked her dead in the eyes as he said it too. Sally turned a bit pale. No words came to her mind so instead, she nodded a little gently...

Lighting closed the door of their room and locked it behind him. Sally went straight to the small kitchen and opened the fridge to grab out a bottle of cool water. Lighting walked over and stared at her and felt bad for how he spoke to her down at the pool, so apologized. "Sorry.." "For what?" Sally asked. Lightning sighed and played with his hands a little before answering "For how I spoke to you at the pool. I.. I shouldn't have done that to you. I'm sorry." Sally sipped the water then set it down and walked over to her boyfriend, taking his hands in hers. "Don't be Stickers. I was kind of a tease down there.." "Kind of?" Lightning asked with a cricked smile and raised brow. Sally blushed and smiled stupidly. Lightning couldn't help but snicker. "You are so cute." He complimented. "Cute?" Sally snarled. "I am a lot of things, but I am a woman Sir and cute is not something you call a woman." She joked. Lighting rolled his eyes. "Shut up and kiss me." He growled. Sally did. The two kissed with a sexual intent. Both lusting and needing after the other.

Lightning broke the kiss once again. This time, he rested his forehead on hers. He swallowed painfully loud. Sally even asked "You okay?" Lightning let out a nasal sigh, "Yeah.." He whispered quietly. Sally smiled and pushed his chin up a bit before kissing him again. They kissed again, and once more then she pulled away and announced. "I'm going to shower." "Could I come with?" Lightning asked. Sally giggled all cute like. "No, but.. I won't be wearing anything when I step out." She teased then walked away. Lightning watched her walk away and shook his head all while smiling. He didn't know exactly when he would ask her, but he was going to make this woman his wife dammit...

(I'm sorry guys, I really tried writing a love scene and wound up just so blank... It's probably my current situation affecting my thoughts and writing here.. Hopefully I can get over it or something and write one soon, I miss it... I had in mind that the couple would have some fun right after Sally's shower..)

Sally tipped the server at the door then pushed the tray into the kitchen and placed the platters covered by silver domes onto the counter. Lightning walked in, fresh out of the shower and came up behind Sally, grabbing her hips and complimenting "Food smells good, I'm starved. What did you order?" He asked. Sally smiled, answering "Chicken alfredo and wine." "Yum.." He growled as he kissed behind her ear. It tickled a little bit and it made Sally laugh. Lightning smiled warmly. "I love your laugh." He complimented. Sally let out a satisfying sigh, turned around and fixed his t-shirt. "You.. were very loving in that last session there." "What can I say? I'm a loving man." He husked. Sally suddenly hugged him. "MMmmm.. I'm so happy when I'm with you." She just said it. She just randomly said it and honestly nothing could make Lightning feel much greater and more proud than that! Lightning kissed her on top of the head then suggested they eat.

The couple ate pasta as they sat on the couch and watched some comedy show on tv. After eating, they cleaned up a little then the couple cuddled up close as they browsed a few channels. Lightning Sally let out a sigh, picked up her cup and began to take a sip when she realized it was empty. Lightning looked at her and the cup then happily took it from her. "I'll get you more." He then got up and walked across to the kitchen. Sally smiled and thanked him. She took the remote and skipped a few boring shows then stopped at RSN.

"Famous Race car driver Lightning McQueen didn't have too much to say about the death of his mentor and former coach, Doc Hudson. It seemed he would rather remember the good times about how the old legend lived than about his last days on earth."

Lightning froze and listened.

"When asked about how Hudson lived his last days, McQueen completely ignored the question and instead, began speaking about how Doc lived prior to finding out about the cancer and about how close Doc truly was to him. It's believed it is just too painful for the racer to talk about. It makes us all wonder... How will this affect McQueen on the track during the playoffs and does the racer even stand a chance? To talk about that with me, is a famous nephew of Strip Weathers and Piston cup champion, Cal Weathers."

Lightning walked into the room and handed Sally the drink as he stared at the screen to see Cal next to the news man. "What the fuck?.." Lightning mumbled.

"How are you doing today Cal?" "I'm doing alright man. Sorry, Henderson." Cal corrected himself. Henderson chuckled and replied "No problem. Now, you won the first two playoff races. How does that feel?" He asked. Cal sighed before answering "Well it's not just me winning. It's the entire Dinoco team out there. I would never be winning without them." "Such good sportsmanship. Now I know you have raced with Lightning McQueen for a few years now, right?" "Yes sir. I've raced Lightnin since I was a rookie and took over for my uncle." "Great! And if I'm correct, the two of you seem to be close friends." "I believe so." Cal answered with a smile. Henderson nodded then asked "How well or how... Unwell.. Do you think McQueen will be racing for the rest of the season?" "Lightnin is a very talented and experienced racer Henderson. He's a champion and one that makes all of us other racers push hard. Doc trained him extremely well. Maybe even a little too well in my opinion." Henderson chuckled then asked "Before we knew of Hudson's cancer, we all truly believed McQueen stood a huge.. A uh.. Had a huge lead on everyone for a fourth cup, but now we've seen him crash a few times, we've seen him fall behind in these first two playoff races and next week if he falls behind, he will be eliminated. Do you think he can catch back up or is this the year someone else has a chance at winning a cup, hmm?" Cal snickered before answering "Well Henderson.. I think you would need to talk to Lightnin himself. My honest thought is that he's saving the best for last you know? Lightnin has always been sort of a show off, I mean you all saw his rookie season. I have no doubt that in the final race, it will be between me and Lightnin." "Oh wow. You are that sure of yourself and that racer huh?" "Without a doubt." "Well, well, well. Seems like McQueen has some competition out there!" Henderson said with a laugh then continued "Now, I'm sure you have heard the news on this World Grand Prix race coming up in Japan." "I have." "And did you hear the news that Jeff Gorvette was hand picked to race in it?" "I did and I won't lie Henderson. I was a little hurt." "Little but hurt there huh?" "Jeff is a very successful racer, but what about me?" Cal joked. "Can't get better looking than this." He joked and smiled attractively as he pointed to his face.

Suddenly Lightning shut off the TV. Sally looked at him and asked "Are you okay?" Lightning sighed then looked at her, answering "I have to get training once we're back home. That man is right.. I've slowed up and I've let emotions get the better of me." "Lightning, he didn't say that and.. And Cal stood up for you. He made you look good." "Yeah, but it won't mean anything if I keep falling behind. I promised Doc I would win this cup for him.. I'm not losing this Sally. I won't let Doc down." He growled. Sally stared at him. He was so serious and stressed. Sally stood up and set down her cup before hugging her boyfriend and coaxing "Come on.. Let's go to bed." "Yeah... Okay..." he agreed reluctantly a bit...

Lighting was still in bed. Eyes closed.. Kind of still asleep. He could hear something in the background. Sounded like someone?.. Throwing up maybe? Yeah, someone was throwing up. Lightning opened his eyes and noticed that Sally was not in bed. He sat up and looked towards the bathroom. Yeah, that was coming from her. Lightning sighed then rubbed his hands through his hair before getting up and walking over to the door. He quietly knocked as she threw up again. Had to be about the fifth time he woke up. "Sal?... You okay in there?" He heard the toilet flush then her reply. "...Yeah.. You can open the door..." She didn't sound well. Lightning opened the door to see her sitting, bent over the toilet. Lightning leaned on the frame of the door and asked "What's wrong?" Sally shook her head, she looked so tired. "Just been sick this morning." "Sense when?" Asked Lightning. Sally wiped her watery eyes with some toilet paper, then answered. "I think I've been up for about an hour or so.. I don't think the pasta and wine set well with me.." "Is that all huh?" Asked Lightning in concert.

Sally raised a brow and stared up towards her boyfriend. "What do you mean?" Lightning shrugged, answering "I don't know. You need anything? Water?..." Sally nodded, but as Lightning turned to leave and get her a bottle, she stopped him. "Hey.. I tried looking for some meds.. I could only find your pills.. I don't think I should be taking them.. So do you think you could run out and grab me something? MY head and stomach are killing me right now.." She admitted. Lightning nodded "Of course. Let me get you that water then get dressed and I'll get you whatever you need." He assured with a smile. Sally smiled and watched him go as she continued to sit at the toilet for some time...

"I told you Kori! Get me dirt on McQueen! Not some sad talk about his coach's death!" Yelled the man over the phone. Kori stood outside the small drugstore, supermarket and snapped back with "I know Sir, but his coach just died and it's huge racing news." "That may be so, but every reporter out there and ever article is about that! I told you to get the dirt, find out how he's secretly coping or something!" "Yes, but Sir"-"NO! I want you to find him stealing an old lady's umbrella, find him drunk, snorting up some cocaine or whatever celebrities are snuffing up these days! Get me something click bait worthy or YOU ARE FIRED!" The man yelled then hung up. "Hello?" Kori asked into the phone. She pulled the device away from her face and glanced at the screen with a sigh. Lightning was such a good sport and decent person. There was little to no dirt on him anymore. Kori knew she was going to lose her job. And things had already been bad for her lately. She was working for the news and getting less and less screen time thanks to the new and younger woman, Erica. Erica was taking her job it seemed. So much so, Kori had to get another job for some online gossip site. It was stupid. and this boss was not nice. Kori was going to have to start looking elsewhere for work. She was losing her car, barely able to pay her bills anymore and it was only going to get worse unless she found something that no one knew about Lightning. But what!?

Kori watched a cab pull up and as if Chrysler knew, Lightning McQueen got out of the car. Kori's eyes widened. She could always just ask him for some scandalous news, but most famous people never liked leaking anything or their agents wouldn't let them. Kori turned away so that Lightning wouldn't see her. He walked right by. Now Kori just had to hope something fishy was going on here... Lightning walked into the small store. It was quiet. He looked up at the signs, reading where the medicines were. Right next to Female Products. So he walked towards it and down the aisle, past a few people that didn't seem to think anything by his presence. Kori followed quietly, trying not to be caught. She watched him walk down the aisle way and up to pain killers. Her brows lowered. That was not news. Yeah, Lightning McQueen buying Advil.. That was not clickbait worthy at all. Kori sighed and muttered to herself. "Come on.. There has to be something you need that's.. Bad.. Go buy some alcohol."

Lightning read the back of the pills. If Sally did have a hangover, it wouldn't help all that much. He glanced up to the side and next to the meds. Female products. Including the pregnancy tests. No, she wasn't pregnant. They were.. Sort of careful and she did just drink some wine the night before. Sally would tell him if she quit taking her birth control, but.. He reached for it and grabbed the box. Turning it around to read if there were maybe symptoms of pregnancy on the back. Not really. Kori's eyes widened. Was Sally pregnant? That was pretty good news for her to be first to know. Of course, it was just a pregnancy test. Kori carefully lifted her phone and quietly snapped a photo as a young woman walked by. Had to be college age or a little older. She saw Kori take the picture of Lightning and snapped at Kori, "Just what do you think you're doing?" As she crossed her arms with a rude face. Kori grabbed the girl's arm and pointed out Lightning and said "That is Lightning McQueen." In a loud whisper The girl's eyes lit up as she stared at him. LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!? "The race car driver?" The girl asked. Kori nodded and she knew she was about to get the best gossip ever! "Go say hi.." Kori said. The girl smiled wide and nodded with excitement. She ran up to Lightning and introduced, "I'm Lacey! I can't believe it's you!" Lightning stared at her and blushed a bit, replying "Yeah.. Keep it down. I really don't need a crowd right now.. Please.. I'm just trying to grab something for my girlfriend and get out of here.." Never asked a fan that before. The girl nodded then stared at the products in his hand. A bottle of Advil and a pregnancy test. She looked back up then asked "Is?...Are you?"

Lightning turned bright red and quickly set the box down and explained. "My girlfriend is sick, that's all." The girl raised a brow then asked "How long has she shown symptoms?" "OH none really.. She just.. She drank wine last night and this morning she was sick." The girl couldn't help but giggle! "I can't believe I have to tell the Lightning McQueen that that is not pregnancy.. I thought famous people were super smart. No.. Look. Just.. If you're worried, buy some plan B. Works wonders on the nerves." She assured. Lightning nodded slowly and a little awkwardly. The girl then turned pale and corrected herself. "Unless you two want.. Are.. I mean.."-"Relax.. No, we are not trying for anything. Here." He then took out his wallet, grabbed a photo in his wallet of him and Sally, pulled out a pen, signed the back then handed the girl the photo. "Thanks for keeping it quiet in here." Lacey took the cute photo of Lightning and Sally and smiled so big! An actual photo of the couple, a selfie, taken by the couple on what looked like an overlook and signed by Lightning McQueen himself! "Where was this photo taken?" Lacey asked. "Wheel Well." Answered the super star. He then tossed the pill bottle in the air and caught it. "I gotta go. Have a nice day." He called as he walked away. Passing by Kori who smiled and sent the photo to her boss proudly. "This is going to get me so back in the game.." She exclaimed softly...

Lightning walked back into the motel and closed the door before calling "Sal?!.. Sally, I got you some meds." He did not buy the plan b or anything though. He set the small bag on the counter of the small kitchen when Sally walked in, rather stomped in and snapped "What the hell happened at the store?" Lightning stared at her. She looked better. Her hair up and brushed nicely, fresh clothes, probably showered and some light make up. "You seem.. Better.." Looked better, but not a better mood. Sally growled in anger then pulled out her phone and scrolled some as she growled. "I can't do it anymore. I can't do it Lightning. I was fine being your lawyer, but I am not an agent! I can't deal with damage control anymore!" She placed the phone on the counter in the kitchen. Lightning was so confused. He slid the phone closer and picked it up, glancing at the screen and turned pale at what he saw and more so at what he read. There on screen was a photo of Lightning and that young woman, Lacey, both staring with red cheeks down at the pregnancy test in his hand and the headline read the most stupid thing.

'Lightning McQueen buys pregnancy test for UNDER-age mistress!'

She was not that young. Was she? Lightning thought. He then looked at Sally who was still furious. "Sally. I never"-"I do not think you did. I don't think you would ever cheat on me and not with some under age girl, but.. This is serious. As your lawyer, I can handle this. It's pretty easy. I know you would never do something like that, but as for the people who click this ad? The fans who see this?.. Lightning.. I.. You need an agent to deal with this. I can't.. Emotionally handle your mistakes all the time." "Yeah, but I didn't mean for anyone to see this." He explained. Sally nodded, but had to ask. "What were you doing with the test?" The couple stared at each other. Lightning shook his head and bit his lips before answering "I thought you.. I don't know. I thought maybe, by chance.. I was.. I just worried about you might be and we.. We..." "You don't want kids yet, I know and I get it. I don't either.." She quiet down. They both were thinking of the last time he thought she was pregnant. The entire little break up it had caused because Lightning would want an abortion and she wouldn't. they were pretty quiet for a few seconds or so. Sally sighed then asked "Who was she Lightning?" Lightning shook his head, answering "Some fan named Lacey. She was actually nice and told me I didn't even need to worry about a test because I told her you were sick after drinking last night. She actually laughed at me..." He mumbled. Sally smiled a little. That is rather funny. Some young woman laughed at a probably blushing red Lightning because he was nervous. Sally cocked her head and asked "So.. For the first time, you let a fan see the not so.. Manly side of Lightning McQueen?" Lightning glared at her and scolded. "I thought you could be pregnant. I wasn't exactly thinking straight." "Obviously." Sally growled as she stared at the clickbait. Lightning stared at it and then asked "What do I do?" Sally shrugged, answering "Get an agent, they will be on damage control. I'll handle any and all accusations of they start coming in and find out who took this photo.. I'll bet they got paid a lot for it to.."...
