Lightning and Ramone pushed the car into the paint booth. Ramone started grabbing his supplies and said, "She'll be ready in a few days." "Great! I'll have to test it all out once we're done. Thanks for all of your help Ramone. I appreciate this." "Awe, it's nothin man. I love painting cars, you know that!" The man explained! Lightning nodded, then walked outside. He was nervous. He didn't want to admit it, but he was. He glanced at the clock on his phone. Almost time to meet up with the team at Willy's Butte and give it another practice. "I've got time." Lightning said to himself. He quickly got into the Vette and rove out to Doc's grave...
Sally sat knelt in front of her baby's grave. Ben stood next to her. Both of them staring at the tombstone with a little teddy with wings on it. Sally placed her hand on the name Bentwheel. She would always hurt a little when thinking of her baby. Thinking about how she could feel it growing inside her once. Hearing its heartbeat. She always wanted that family. Ben knelt next to his ex-wife and asked, "Do you ever think of what could have been?" sally looked to Ben with a bit of pain, mixed with a confused expression. "I do.." He admitted. Sally let out a sigh, then replied. "Ben.. We were never the best for each other.." "I think we were. I think. I think it was my fault and I should have listened to you more." "Okay, well.. That's true... But.. Deep down, I don't think we were ever right for each other. We were good as friends and we should have left it at that." "I don't think so. I think we should have tried therapy." "No. I told you, I didn't want to." "I know, I know.. I'm sorry.." Ben mumbled. It was so quiet. Both of them knelt there at their baby's grave. "He would have been a smart kid." Ben quietly murmured. Sally snickered with a small smile. "Yeah, he would have been.." Ben placed his arm around Sally and held her close against him. Sally lay her head on his shoulder. "I miss us." Ben admitted.
Sally sighed and frowned. This was terrible. She had to stop this now. "Ben.." She began as she pulled away. "We came here to mourn our baby, not.. Not reminisce about times that.. Well, that I wish we could just forget about." "I'm sorry." he apologized. Sally stood up, brushing off her knees. "Maybe we should stop doing this." Ben immediately stood up. "No, no! Look, I messed up by venting about my feelings. I've just really been thinking about you, about us and our baby. I miss what we could have had, what I wanted and I was an idiot back then. I wanted a baby and we tried for some time and then"-"Stop. This conversation will only hurt us. I don't love you Ben, I. I don't think I ever did..." Sally announced. That hurt. Like.. Really hurt Ben. Felt worse than a dagger in the heart. There was nothing more Sally could say to make him feel worse. "I.. I'm sorry." Ben whimpered as he looked away. The two stood there for a few more minutes. silently now. Not saying a word to each other. Until Sally let out a deep sigh and said, "I think I'm good now.." Ben frowned. He was hurting still. That open wound left by the woman he loved. He came home to find a note. Sally was just.. Gone one day. It hurt. It would always hurt, and leave him with trust issues. "You're right..." Ben admitted. "We should stop doing this. It.. It seems to only hurt more each year.." Sally looked at Ben with some shock. Part of her never wanted to let go of this yearly thing. The two of them still had a connection on some level. They were both a big part of each other's lives. Sally hugged Ben suddenly. So he wrapped his arms around her...
"Alright team, let's get one last practice in before we call it a day!" Lightning shouted from the top of the hill. Sheriff blew the whistle, and everyone quickly pretended Lightning's daily Vette was the race car. Quickly refueling, checking tires, changing them, and being careful not to get into each other's way. Lightning watched proudly as the team had improved drastically since the beginning of their practice. Lightning stopped the timer and was impressed. They were beating their tie! "Well we may not be the most typical or professional team out there, but we just might be the fastest. Great job everyone!" Lightning shouted as he applauds his team of friends. Everyone cheered for themselves and high fived and were super excited! Mater ran up to Lightning and asked. "Shoot, is there anything else I can do? I want to be just as important!" Lightning had to think of something. "Uhh. Yeah, um.. You have the biggest and most important job Mater. You have to keep me focused and not let me overthink things. Okay?" "YES SIR!" Mater shouted!
As Lightning headed to his car to leave, his phone rang. BBbbzz. BBbzzzz. BBbzzzz. Lightning glanced at the screen. Mom. "Hey."
Hey Mon, how are you doing?
"I'm good. busy getting ready for the races."
Is this a bad time?
"No, no. Not at all. I have time to talk. I just finished some practice with the team. What's up?"
Well, with you going to the races soon and it is very dangerous. I thought I would come and spend Christmas next week with you and Sally.
"Oh."
Oh? You don't sound happy about that.
"It's not that, Mom. I just.. Sally and I sort of already made plans with Carson."
Oh..
"But it's fine. We can figure something out. I would love to spend time with you before the race to Mom."
Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden.
"You are never a burden, Mom. I'll make it happen. I'll talk to Sally tonight about it and call you back tomorrow, okay?"
Yeah, sounds great Baby.
"Great."
How are you and Sally?
"We're doing well."
And what about you proposing? Is that.. Still a thing?
"Yes. I tried to twice a while back, but... I don't know. It just seems like things keep getting in the way."
Are you nervous?
"What!? NO! Of course not. Sally is my best friend. Wh-why would I be nervous? Sh-she'll say yes. Of course, she'll say yes. I mean, me? Nervous. Nah-no. The only thing I'm a little nervous about would be this-these races, sheesh. I'm, I'm not nervous. CoMe On MoM."
Mhm.
"I'll call you back tomorrow, Mom. I should head home and.. Call Sally."
Okay, Monty. You better not forget to call.
"I won't."
Love you.
"Yeah, I love you too. Bye, Mom."...
Lightning heard the front door open then close. He was sitting in the living room on the couch, watching tv. He looked back and saw Ben walk by rather quickly. Sally walked into view and stared at Lightning. Something was wrong though. She looked as if she had been crying. Lightning immediately got up and walked over to her. "What's wrong?" He asked. Sally nestled herself into his arms, answering, "Nothing, I just get emotional about the past... You know that.." She sniffled. Lightning did, but she never really cried about it. Not in front of him at the least. "I'm going to go make dinner.." She muttered, pulling away as she walked into the kitchen to begin cooking. Lightning watched her for a minute or two. Just watching her. She seemed so broken. He watched her grab a pot, fill it with water, grab out some pasta noodles, and throws them into the water as she turned on the oven top. She grabbed a can of sauce out and some extra spices to upscale it. Lightning walked over and grabbed her hips. Pressing his body to hers as he kissed the side of her neck. Kissing up under her ear next, then right behind her ear before he spoke softly into it. "I love you.." Sally smiled. His breath gave her goosebumps. He kissed her neck once more before pulling away and standing next to her. "How can I help?" he asked with a smile. Sally looked at him, gazed at him. How was she so lucky. She reached out and took his hand in hers.
"Are you okay?" Lightning asked. Sally nodded, answering, "I am now." Lightning was proud. Proud that he could make her feel better and cheer her up like this. Sally then leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "Grab a can opener and a bowl. You can pour the sauce into it while I add some spice." "Yes, Mam." Lightning replied quickly then grabbed the can opener and a bowl as instructed and opened the sauce then poured it into the medium-sized bowl. Sally then took a few things and added them to it. Some garlic, parsley, onion powder, oregano, salt, and paprika. She took a spoon and stirred it up. Then noticed the pasta boiling and stirred it up. Lightning took the spoon from the sauce and sniffed it. It smelt good. Sally looked over and scolded "Don't you lick that spoon!" Lightning stared at her a moment then put the spoon to his mouth. Inching closer and closer. Sally just stared at him. "Don't you dare." She warned. Lightning snickered and asked, "Or what?" Sally's brows lowered as her expression turned more into a glare. Lightning sighed then, lowered the spoon. "Alright, I won't lick the spoon." He griped. "Good," Sally replied then went back to stirring the pasta. Lightning watched her drain the pasta then pour the sauce into the noodles back into the large cooking pot as he leaned on the counter. Sensing the spoon wasn't being used, he took it out of the empty bowl and licked it right in front of her to tease.
Sally stared at him. "What?" Lightning asked. Sally smiled and seductively said, "Take off your shirt." Lightning's eyes widened and brows raised. Sally took the spoon from him that still had sauce on it by the way and once again ordered him to "Take. Off. Your. Shirt." Lightning stared frozen for a few more seconds, as requested, he reached below to grab the hem of his shirt then pulled it up over his head. Sally then stepped closer as she licked the very tip of the spoon in such a sexual manner. Eyeing Lightning with her sexy eyes. Lightning swallowed nervously and asked, "What are you going to do?.." Sally stood in front of him and looked him up and down placing the spoon between his pecs and said, "Just stand-still." As she wiped the sauce down the middle of his chest, down his stomach, and to the V of his lower region. "Sally"-"Sshhh.." She hushed him and placed the spoon over his lips. She then set it down and proceeded to lick the sauce off of him. Lightning sighed and tried to contain himself as her tongue licked from below... All the way up to his stomach, which tickled a little bit by the way! Up to his chest, where she curled her tongue at the last of the sauce. "Teasing enough?" She asked. Lightning's heart was racing! As if that wasn't enough, she suddenly grabbed hold of his balls and member. Lightning didn't flinch, but he froze stiff. "What are you doing?" he husked. Sally smiled up at him as she began massaging with her hand. "Having a little fun.." She answered. Lightning sighed with a growl then looked her in the eyes. "Your ex-husband is in the house." "So? Just means you will need to be quick." She then knelt on the floor in front of him and began to loosen his pants. Lightning stopped her, grabbing her hands firmly. "No, I don't feel comfortable with this, alright? You win. You teased me, and you won. I won't lick the spoon again." "This isn't about the spoon now. I just want to suck your member." "Not right now." "PPlleeeaassee Stickers. I won't stay on the head this time." She pleaded in a whimpery and girly voice.
Lightning blushed and nervously laughed "Stop, please. No. I don't want to do this right now." "But I'll make it fast." "Stop." "Just a little lick?" Sally asked. Lightning yanked her up, forcing her to stand and look at him in the eyes. "I said no." He snarled. Sally stopped. The mood was gone now. "Not right now, Sally." He added. Sally looked so upset. Honestly, Lightning sort of felt bad. Sally gave up for now. Lightning let her go, but then pulled her back in and said, "You can do it all you want later, okay? When he's not here." "Fine." Sally snapped then went back to cooking. Lightning grabbed his shirt and put it back on. Staring at his girl. Sally looked at him and scolded "You started that though. You over there with the spoon and disobeying me and then kissing me as you did." She pouted. Lightning snickered and smiled. "You're right, and I'm sorry. I won't tease you like that again. Not unless I know we can do more." He took her hand and kissed the top of it before walking off. Sally was a little mad that he wouldn't let her play around, but if he were uncomfortable because Ben was in the house, she wouldn't make him...
The three all sat at the table and enjoyed dinner together. And Lightning realized that Sally's go-to meal for guests was spaghetti at this point. Weird. Ben sipped his drink and complimented. "Great dinner Sally." "Thanks." "How is the racing going, Lightning? I mean, obviously well with this invite. Must be a huge step for you." He asked. Lightning nodded, replying, "It is. It will be an amazing addition to my career. I just won my fourth cup." "That is outstanding. I'll bet your family is proud." "Yeah, they are. Sally agreed to come with me." Lightning announced. Ben stared at Sally and asked, "You think you can go without working that long?" He meant it as a joke, but Sally snapped with "Of course. I want to support my boyfriend." Ben nodded. Lightning then kindly asked, "How is the work in the uh... Hospital?" Ben snickered, answering, "It's good. Last week I had a little boy, only three years old come in with a huge wound on his back. He was crashing, and his breathing was shallow and slow, and it was the most traumatic event I'd seen in a long time. Oddly enough, the boy fell over a ceramic trash can in his parents' bathroom, and a piece that almost looked like a shark tooth had gone inside him and cut deep. My team and I managed to save the kid thankfully. I don't know what I'd do without my team. Guess we have that in common, huh?" He asked as he ate. Lightning stared a moment. For one, wow. What a horror story! A child almost died!?
Lightning had to ask. "What exactly do you do in the hospital?" Sally answered. "Ben is a trauma surgeon, Lightning." Ben snickered and made the comment that "In other words, my job is to save people like you. People that get into bad accidents mostly." Lightning crossed his arms and smiled, saying, "That's great Ben, but you won't ever have to worry about me. I don't crash. I never will." "Everyone says that. Everyone thinks they are safe, and that's when the worst accidents happen. Trust me, I've seen more car accidents than you, Lightning. Please be careful out there." Ben pleaded and Lightning's expression changed. Ben was right. He had seen more accidents than Lightning. Or at least the aftermath of them. Without people like Ben, people like Lightning would be dying a lot more often. Honestly, Lightning was thankful for people who chose to work in the profession that Ben had. Those people were heroes to them. Ben sipped his drink, rinsing down the pasta, and asked, "So when's the wedding?" Lightning and Sally's eyes widened. Sally even snapped! "Ben!" Ben shrugged. "What? I can't tease a little?" Sally and Lightning glanced at each other. Lightning cleared his throat before answering. "Uh.. Well, I'm focusing on my career right now. I have this huge race to prepare for and the coming season. Marriage isn't exactly my uh, top priority right now." Sally hated hearing that.
She quickly spoke up with, "But we will be. Getting married. One day. Right Stickers?" She looked to Lightning, who choked up on his drink. She was so pushy about that. Ben chuckled a little and said. "You'd better. I mean I'm no fertility doctor, but you are getting a little up in age there, Sally. If you two ever do need some help in that field, I have a friend who is an amazing fertility doctor." Lightning turned pale hearing this. But Ben wasn't done yet. "Though I know an even better doctor who would highly recommend a donor." "A what?.." Lightning asked. Ben stared a moment then explained. "A sperm donor." Lightning was going to pass out. "Uhm, we don't need that, but thanks for the offer." "Anytime. Sally told me you were taking antidepressants. That can cause some.. A decrease in blood flow. I know a few home remedies if you need"-"NO. NO, we're good. I'm good. It gets up just fine, thank you, Ben!" Lightning snarled. Sally pushed away from the table and stood up. "Think I'm going to head to bed. I'm pretty worn out.." She admitted, Which wasn't a lie. Lightning glared at Ben. Eyeing him and trying to figure out what game the doctor was playing. Ben looked to Sally saying, "You go ahead, Sally. I'll clean up." "Thanks, Ben.." She muttered back before walking away. Once she was gone, Lightning got firm with Ben.
"I don't know what all that was about, but don't you ever offer that sort of help to me or my-" He paused. "Sally again." Ben raised his hands and explained. "I was only trying to help. I know antidepressants can cause problems.." "Stop! We are fine! I am fine!" "You seem stressed.." "Because-look! You came here to mourn with Sally. That's over with now. I am going to make my position here clear. I am her boyfriend. I will marry her, I will be the only man impregnating that woman, and this is my house Ben, mine! You are a guest here and should act like it more! What you and Sally had is over, and I will not allow you to even try and sweep her out from beneath me." Ben nodded and assured Lightning that there was nothing to worry about and that "This is all a huge misunderstanding Lightning. I would never try and take Sally from you because I know she's happy. She loves you, and I want her to be happy. If that's with you, so be it. I am not trying to create any problems between the two of you, I swear!" Lightning stood up. He wasn't sure about Ben at times. "I don't trust you anymore, Ben." He admitted. Ben sighed and asked, "Why not though? I've never done anything to make you think I'd try anything. Have I?" He asked with concern. Lightning had to think a moment. Had he? "Well.. No.." "Great. I'm going to clean up like I told Sally. I'll be leaving in the morning. I don't want to make you uncomfortable in your own home. Why don't you go to her." He smiled. Lightning stood there and watched as Ben began to clean up. Maybe he didn't have anything to worry about. "Yeah.. Uh.. Yeah." Lightning muttered.
He was a little confused. Ben smiled and said, "Goodnight." Lightning stared at the man a moment more before muttering. "Yeah.. Goodnight.." Then walked off to the bedroom. There, he found Sally sitting in bed. Reading some magazines. "Hey." He greeted. Sally looked up. "Hey." She sighed. "Sorry about Ben.. I don't know why he"-"Don't worry about it. I'm sure he's just hurting or stressed about... Things. I'm fine. Are you okay though?" "Yeah, just tired. Been a long day, Light." "Yeah, I understand." He smiled. Sally reached out to him so he walked over and sat down next to her. "Love you." He cooed. Sally rested her head on his shoulder, replying "Love you, Stickers." So softly. Her voice was so soothing, so perfect, so calming. Lightning took her hand in his and held it gently. Rubbing his thumb over her soft skin. Do you know what he wished more than anything right now? That he could protect Sally from the hurt she was feeling. He wished he could protect her from all the pain, regret, and brokenness in her life, in this world. But that was impossible. Especially since he would be the reason for all of that one day...
Ben and Sally hugged near the front door. Lightning standing nearby as the former couple bid goodbye. Ben starting with "Goodbye Sally. I hope the best for you." "Bye Ben.. Thanks for coming by." "You two be safe on that trip. Okay, Lightning?" Ben looked over at the racer. Lightning crossed his arms and growled. "We'll be fine." Sally snickered a little. Finding Lighting's jealousy sort of cute. She then turned back to Ben. "I'll talk to you soon, Ben." Ben smiled and nodded, then grabbed his duffle up from the floor. "Talk soon." He said, then walked out the door. Sally closed it behind him quietly. Lightning then hugged her close. He realized that maybe Sally still loved Ben, but he also knew he had no choice but to let her. After all, he was her former husband. He knew nothing of that sort of thing. I mean, wasn't that better than them being horrible to each other and hating each other? Probably. Lightning pulled away from Sally and announced his plans for the day. "Ramone should have the Bolt finished by the end of the day. Tomorrow we'll head to California. So I'm going to make sure the Bolt is packed up with the rest of its equipment shortly. I need to make sure all the team's equipment is packed up in the trailer too. I think the entire thing is being shipped out there." "Wow, okay. I'll let my Dad know we will be coming tomorrow night." "About that.." Lightning started.
Sally's brows lowered. "We're going to my Dad's for Christmas." "That's fine, but.. My Mom is coming down here for Christmas." "WHAT!? Lightning, we already made plans." "I know we did, but.. She's really worried about this race, and I felt like she needed this." "And what about My Dad? You can not be serious about us spending the holiday apart now? This is the only time during the year I get to spend actual time with you." She yelped. Lightning knew and understood that. "No, no. I'm not suggesting anything, but... We may need to make it a shorter trip to Cali. I mean.. We'll spend actual Christmas with your Dad still, just... Come back here before heading out to New York." "New York? I thought we were leaving California to Japan?" "Oh. I.. Thought I told you. And it's not even a sure thing yet. Miranda is trying to get me on the Tonight show in New York. If she does, we'll leave the next day for Japan. And when we do get to California tomorrow, I have a shoot to get to before we go to your Dad's." He added. Sally growled in frustration. "Why are you so busy all the time!?" She shouted. Lightning got defensive quick, "Are you kidding me!? You work three-four jobs! For fun! What kind of crazy person does that!?" "That's work!" "So is this!"
Sally then crossed her arms and snarled. "Posing for a camera is not work. That's a perk." Lightning closed his eyes and took a deep breath before continuing. "Fine, whatever. I can't help that I'm busy. I'm sorry." "You should have told your Mom no." Sally growled. Lightning shook his head then explained. "My brother died racing. My Mom is worried and wants to see me off. Is that such a bad thing?" He asked. Sally shook her head, answering, "No, of course not. But if that's the reasoning behind it, then she's not seeing you off, she's saying goodbye just in case!" Lightning stared at Sally. Was that true? Sally saw it in Lighting's eyes. He didn't realize that until now. His Mother didn't have faith in him. She was worried he was going to die. "Lightning.. I didn't mean it like that." Sally whispered. Lightning shook his head then asked, "Why would she think?.. Why?" He was speechless. Not able to find the words. Sally crossed her arms and vented out "It's a dangerous race, Lightning. This isn't like what you're used to. I.. I'm worried too. I'm afraid of the worst too... I know you always say that you won't crash, but this is real racing. Not just circles. A wall isn't your only enemy here." Lightning stared at his girl. His Mom, now Sally, his friends. Everyone was just making him more and more nervous. Lightning grabbed his keys and said, "I got to get ahead on things if I want time to practice." He grabbed his jacket and started to the door. Sally reached out to him, but he was already halfway to his car. "Love you, I'll see you later." He called before shutting the door as he got into the Vette. Sally sighed. She saw it in him. She saw his nervous state that he never liked people seeing. He was scared, and she might have just freaked him out more by accident...
As planned, the car was finished. So the team packed it up along with some other items into the Rusteze trailer to take down to the docs, so it could be shipped ahead of time to Japan. They watched as the ship's crew loaded the trailer up onto the boat. Lightning made sure the Bolt was covered and strapped down once more before leaving it with the people there. Sally giggled watching and even teased. "Don't worry, she'll be fine. I think the two of you can survive being separated for a week." Lightning glared at her as they walked to their taxi...
Lightning posed in the new suit. Holding his helmet on his hip and flashing that white smile of his. "There we go, perfect!" Said the photographer. Lightning held the smile as he mumbled through his teeth. "Are we almost done?.. My face is starting to freeze like this." Sally smiled, finding him humorous. The photographer snapped a photo then answered. "Ney.. Your skin is too glossy. Patricia!" He called. A woman called back with, "I'm on it." The man then told Lightning he could stop smiling. Lightning did. He stopped smiling and let out a sigh of relief. The woman walked up and began to powder his face. Lightning coughed some and asked, "What is that stuff?" "It's just a setting. It helps with the shine. Hold still, close your eyes and mouth, please." She asked. But sort of ordered to. She walked away once she finished then stepped out of the shot. "Give me an old ka chow, please." Lightning flashed the side of the suit where the chrome-like bolt sparkled in a light. Sally stood behind and watched as Lightning posed in different positions for the camera. Miranda walked in suddenly and said, "I'm sorry I'm late! The flight was delayed, and it was just chaos getting my bags. How are we doin there Champ?" Lightning spoke through his gritted smile, "Good. Hopefully, almost finished.." "Sure thing, Superstar. Sally, get in there." Miranda ordered.
Sally blushed and whined. "No, no. I'm not in these pictures." "Why not!? You are the supportive girlfriend of Lightning McQueen! We need to show the fans that. Now get in there." Miranda ordered playfully, then gently pushed Sally towards Lightning. Sally stood in front of him. Both staring eye to eye as the camera flashed. The man behind the camera walked up and decided to help them pose. Having Lightning pose diagonally behind Sally. He took the helmet and handed it to Sally saying, "Hold this darling." Sort of shoved it at her. He then posed Lightning. Spreading Lightning's legs apart for a more confident stance. Placing one of Lightning's hands-on Lightning's hip. "Okay, come here." The photographer said to Sally. He positioned Sally just a little in front of Lightning. He took Lightning's other hand and placed it around Sally's tummy. Sally awkwardly held the helmet and asked, "What do I do with this?" The man chuckled and answered. "Well, hold it of course." He then turned the helmet facing front ways in her hands, one on each side of the thing. "Now, both of you smile like you love each other." He joked as he went back to the camera.
"Look at me. Great!" He complimented as he snapped the photo. "Now, look at each other." He said. "Great!" he said as he took the shot. Miranda glanced at the photos then cheered, "We got it! Great job you two." "We can go?" Lightning asked. Miranda nodded then handed her client a paper. "This is the receipt to the tickets for you and your entire team to fly to New York." She announced. Lightning's eyes widened. "Wait, I'm on the show?" he asked. Miranda nodded. "Yup. You and Sally!" "WHAT!?" Sally yelped as her face turned pale. "I.. I'm not a celebrity." "Oh yes, you are!" Miranda corrected. "You and Lightning need to wear formal attire too. I want you both to look classy on that show. That Texas accent is starting to get huge with the northern ladies. I want you to show them you're a Texan with a more refined look. OH! And I even got tickets for your entire team. They get to see you guys live! Isn't that great!?" She asked with excitement! Lightning seemed happy about it, but Sally seemed more nervous than anything. Miranda then handed her client a bunch of tickets. "Here you go. Tickets for you and your team from New York to Japan. No stops, just a long thirteen-hour flight." "Oh, wow..." Sally muttered. Lightning's brows raised slightly. "Thirteen hours, huh?"
Miranda snickered and replied. "Think that's bad? It's a twelve-hour flight to Italy and a two-hour flight to England after that. Then another fourteen hours back to Arizona." Sally let out a quiet groan. She hated that and never really thought about it until now. "Go on and enjoy the holiday you two. Merry Christmas." Miranda exclaimed. "I'll see you in New York Superstar." Before heading out. Sally sighed with a frown. Lightning noticed and asked, "You okay?" She nodded though. "Yeah, just.. That's a lot of flying.." Lightning chuckled then kissed her on top of the head. "Don't worry. I'll be right there with you the entire time." "Thanks." She replied. The couple then left the building to grab a taxi and head to Sally's Dad's for Christmas...
