Get ready, this chapter the Heroes get to see that Godzilla's a bit tougher than the average Villain. And meaner too.

Katsuki stood frozen, staring at the beast who'd just tanked Katsuki's strongest attack like it was nothing. Against its eyeball. The monster stared back.

Then, Godzilla moved.

With a speed something that size should not have, Godzilla threw its arm through the building Katsuki was standing on. Katsuki blasted himself off just before Godzilla's hand exploded from the roof in a rain of concrete and rebar. Katsuki dodged a slash from Godzilla, followed by a swing of its tail, staying one step ahead of death.

Godzilla lunged at Katsuki for a bite, but Mount Lady grew to full size right next to its head. She wrapped her legs around Godzilla's neck and clamped her arms around its jaw. "Dynamight!" she said. "You get out of here, I'll handleeaahhhh!"

Godzilla's claw raked Mount Lady's side, drawing blood. It threw its body sideways and smashed her into the nearest building. When that didn't shake her, it leaned back, then smashed her into it again.

Mount Lady tried to hold on, but Godzilla slammed her again. Her grip slipped and Mount Lady went tumbling along the ground. "You know," she said. "If you want your parole you could try helping!"

A shirtless man with spiky hair and a gigantification quirk (who Katsuki was pretty sure was a known Villain) came shooting through the air at Godzilla, feet first.

The Villain's feet smashed into Godzilla's head, making the bastard flinch. However, while the kick was enough to move the head, it wasn't enough to damage it. Godzilla glared at the shirtless guy and roared.

"Wrong way!" Another asshole with a gigantification quirk, this one with a thin body and bulbous oversized shark head, who Katsuki knew was a villain, appeared behind Godzilla and body slamming his back before darting backwards.

Godzilla didn't even flinch, looking more like he'd been hit with a pillow.

Katsuki landed on a nearby building and surveyed the group. Three of them, a Hero and two Villains, Mount Lady, Shirtless Asshole, and Shark Asshole, vs one supposedly quirkless animal.

However, the Heroes and Villain were all under 30 meters tall. Godzilla was 50. Also, Katsuki was pretty sure all of their fighters were vulnerable to his explosions. Godzilla was not.

Godzilla looked back and forth between his challengers. He lowered his head, spread apart his claws and roared in defiance.

Yuu grimaced. "Alright, we attack him from all sides, try to disorient him. Ready?"

The two Villains-on-parole nodded.

"Then let's go!"

The three charged. The shirtless one, Oogami leapt at Godzilla, fist raised. Godzilla leaned to the side to avoid his punch, then swung out his claw, slapping Oogami away.

"Ha!" said the Shark Villain, Jaws, leaping at Godzilla's back, "You just got bitc-" Without even looking, Godzilla slammed his tail into Jaws, sending him flying.

Yuu ducked under a swipe of Godzilla's claws, then punched him in the stomach. Pain exploded from Yuu's knuckles, like she'd just punched a metal wall.

Godzilla grabbed Yuu's wrist and began to squeeze. Yuu grabbed its claw, and tried to pull herself free, but to no avail. She punched and kicked, but the creature's grip would not break. The pressure on Yuu's wrist mounted. She felt her very bones begin to buckle.

"I gotcha Mount Lady!" Oogami said, sprinting behind her. "Don't you worr-"

Godzilla let go of Yuu's wrist, then kicked her into Oogami. She collided into him, sending both to the ground.

As Godzilla stepped toward them, Jaws leaped onto Godzilla's back and opened his mouth to bite its neck. Godzilla grabbed his shoulder and threw Jaws off, sending him into a building. Godzilla moved to bite, but he was interrupted as an explosion went off right in his face.

"STUN GRENADE!"

Katsuki let unleashed an extra bright blast in front of the monster's face, hoping to blind it. It didn't matter if this was futile, he refused to give up!

Godzilla swung at Katsuki, but another shape slammed into its head. Godzilla thrashed around, trying to shake the shape loose. Ryukyu.

Ryukyu bit and clawed at Godzilla's face, trying to do as much as she could while avoiding his swiping claws. Finally, she leapt off, circling around. Katsuki detonated one of his gauntlets right into Godzilla's mouth but it, once again, did nothing.

This was like fighting a lead wall.

"Canyon Cannon!"

Mount Lady threw a flying kick into Godzilla's shoulder, her foot covered by a flatbread truck. Godzilla's turned toward her with a glare. Mount Lady caught herself on the nearest building then yelled, "Avalanche!" She sent a high kick into Godzilla's snout. It didn't even budge.

Godzilla's eyes narrowed. Mount Lady's widened. Mount Lady scrambled away as Godzilla smashed through the building she was on. Ryukyu and the others scrambled to follow her. Ponytail frantically called for backup over the comms while the Shirtless Asshole leaped onto Godzilla's shoulder, only to be body slammed into a building.

This fight was going badly. Even Katsuki realized they needed to lead him to the army. All three of the gigantification quirk users were battered and bloody, Katsuki and Ryukyu winded, while the rest retreated. They were outmatched, and they knew it.

Katsuki tried to blast Godzilla again. Godzilla's eyes locked onto him, narrowing as if growing annoyed.

As Godzilla lunged at Katsuki, more of Best Jeanists' cables wrapped around it. Godzilla ripped them off like they were cobwebs, however it didn't notice the ones around its legs.

"Yes!" Oogami said as the damn lizard tripped over its feet and finally fell. It snapped the cloth cables easily once it noticed, but that didn't matter. It was exposed!

Oogami beat his bare chest, then ran forward and kicked Godzilla in the mouth. Godzilla glared and lunged at him.

Oogami staggered back, narrowly avoiding getting his throat ripped out. He fell on his back and scooted away, but Godzilla followed him, crawling on all fours like a crocodile from hell!

Oogami desperately tried to crawl away as Godzilla snapped at Oogami with its enormous fangs. Its teeth clamped down on his foot, drawing blood. Oogami howled in pain. Godzilla released his foot and was about to bite the ankle, but Dynamight set off an explosion in its face while Mount Lady jumped on its back and tried to pin it.

Oogami got to his feet and limped away while Godzilla rose to his full height, throwing Mount Lady off, then turned its attention on Dynamight.

Katsuki sped down the street, with Godzilla slowly following. The three with gigantification quirks went around, flanking Godzilla and regrouping ahead of Katsuki. Once Godzilla noticed them again, they backed away, not slow enough for it to catch up, but not fast enough for Godzilla to think they'd fled the fight and stop pursuing. They got closer and closer to the plaza where the military were gathering for their stand.

Godzilla was almost on top of them, his gaze flicking from opponent to opponent. Katsuki fought the urge to shrink from its unforgiving glare.

"Alright," said Mount Lady, "Now we just need to retreat and wait!"

With his good leg, Shirtless used a building as a springboard to leap at Godzilla's head. "This is for my foot you-"

Godzilla ducked his attack and swung out its tail. Shirtless Asshole went flying from Godzilla's hit, easily clearing the buildings to Godzilla's right. Finally there was a loud crash in the direction he'd gone.

Shark Asshole roared. He leapt at Godzilla's arm and clamped his jaw down.

His teeth shattered.

Yuu's eyes widened with horror. Oh no.

Before sending those two Villains to work with Yuu, the HPSC had explained their quirks.

Part of Jaws' quirk was that his teeth were extra-reinforced. While in his normal height they could snap bone, in his large form they could crack diamond.

And they'd snapped on impact.

Godzilla lifted his arm. Jaws hung on, too frightened to move.

"Shit!" Yuu enlarged herself and charged. Godzilla slammed Jaws into a building. As Yuu tried jump onto his side, Godzilla's tail smashed into her chest. Yuu felt several ribs crack. Yuu went rolling onto the ground, her chest throbbing.

Yuu opened her eyes as Godzilla smashed Jaws into the building again, and again. Dynamight tried to blast him, so Godzilla swung his arm at him, Jaws still attached. Jaws flew off Godzilla's arm, flying directly at Dynamight. He missed, and became embedded into a building which promptly collapsed on him.

Yuu sucked in a pained breath and tried push herself up. The monster noticed. Godzilla lifted his tail to slam back down on her. Dynamight tried to turn around and intervene, but he didn't have the time.

Yuu braced herself for impact.

Ryukyu threw herself onto Godzilla's head and began clawing at its face once again. Godzilla tried to throw her off, but this time she wouldn't be moved.

Ryukyu roared as she clawed at Godzilla's face, trying to rip out its eyes. Despite her best efforts, nothing she did was working! Every slash seemed to bounce off, like her claws were made of Styrofoam! Godzilla tried to beat her off with its hands, but Ryukyu managed to evade them.

Ryukyu felt a stab of pain her wing. She looked down and saw Godzilla's jaws clamped down on it. Ryukyu was violently yanked off Godzilla and thrown spiraling into the air. Ryukyu tried to regain control, but something slammed into her, sending her careening into a wall.

Ryukyu opened her eyes and shook her head. She'd been thrown into a building and hit just between floors, preventing her from going deep. She tried to get up, then gasped.

Godzilla's head smashed into Ryukyu for a headbutt. Ryukyu plowed through several meters of office space before losing consciousness.

With Ryukyu beaten, Godzilla stepped away from the building, it noticed Yuu grabbing its foot. Its gaze fell on her. Yuu locked eyes with the beast and glared defiantly, waiting to see what it would do. Daring it to do its worst. Godzilla's gaze drifted from her face, to her outstretched arm.

Godzilla lifted its foot, and stomped.

Mount Lady's scream sent a shiver up Katsuki's spine. The other Heroes ran to help her, Kamui Woods in the front, while Godzilla continued to crush her arm with its foot.

Katsuki rocketed toward the back of the beast's head, hoping to at least distract it. As he neared its head, Godzilla had yet to notice him. Katsuki decided to use a Stun Grenade near its ear and disorie-

Katsuki noticed Godzilla's pupil glancing at him before darting away, and realized how unnaturally still the beast had been. Katsuki looked behind him.

Oh shit.

Godzilla's tail swatted Katsuki like a bug. Fortunately, Katsuki used one desperate explosion to match the direction and speed of the tail enough to not be splattered. Unfortunately, he still felt several bones snap like dried twigs and was sent flying toward a nearby office building.

Katsuki fired a final blast to slow himself down, blowing up the window he was about to smash into. Katsuki hit a desk and tumbled to the ground. He lay there in pain, unable to move, until a shadow fell over him.

Sero knelt next to Bakugo. He was alive, but that last blow messed him up bad. His legs were definitely not supposed to be at that angle, and Sero could already see bruises forming on his face Katsuki's eyes locked onto Sero, but they were unfocused. Like Bakugo could barely see him.

Not good.

The ground began to shake, and Sero turned around and saw Godzilla approaching their building. Sero picked Bakugo up in a fireman carry, used a strip of his tape to secure him, then sprinted toward the other side.

He was almost to the windows when the building began to collapse.

Momo watched as Godzilla kicked the building Sero and Bakugo were inside in its foundation, causing it to collapse in on itself. Godzilla then marched over the rubble, seemingly trying to stomp every inch as hard as possible.

Once he was done, Godzilla slammed his tail on the pile a few times for good measure, then moved on, heading in the direction they'd wanted him to go. Momo tapped her communicator, "Sero? Are you alright?"

"I'm alive." Sero said, coughing some dust out. Sero had narrowly made it out a window, then swung to street and ducked into the nearest alley. Fortunately, Godzilla didn't even notice them, walking by without a second glance.

Sero took another look at his friend, who's face was now almost covered in bruises. Sero winced. That had to hurt. He hoped Eri or some other medic could fix him up later. If no-

Sero tensed up as Godzilla's tail waved in the air right in front of them.

Fortunately, the tail too passed.

"Godzilla's passed the Heroes! He's about to reach our lines!" said the comm operator.

The officer nodded. "Very well. All units, prepare to engage."

Just behind the plaza the military were in, Ochako ran toward a group of mostly Rescue Heroes. Nejire was there too. They'd just finished checking the area one last time for stragglers.

"I couldn't find anyone," Ochako said. "You guys?"

One by one, the other Heroes each shook their head.

"Then we're done," said Nejire.

"We should get out of here," Ochako said. She glanced at the set of buildings that acted as a wall between them and the plaza. A wall that might as well be made of paper.

"What do you think will happen?" A Hero next to Ochako said.

She was about to reply when she heard a building crumble, accompanied by that roar.

In the plaza, a small army had gathered, with scores of tanks, missile launchers, and other gun emplacements, ready to face their foe. Apprehension hung in the air. An hour ago, they were confident in their victory, despite this being their first major engagement. However, they'd heard of the Heroes total defeat, along with the sounds of the fighting as it approached. It unnerved them.

So they waited.

The front of one of the buildings collapsed, a horrible roar emanating from within.

Godzilla walked into the plaza. He surveyed the gathered army. He didn't look impressed.

The commander of one of the missile groups watched with steely eyes as the monster advanced into the kill zone.

The order came.

"All units, commence firing!"

The plaza erupted in a crescendo of sound and fury. Tanks bombarded Godzilla's hide, aiming at his face and legs. Helicopters unleashed a hail of missiles which exploded against its snout, while long range artillery struck its body from afar.

Missile launchers sent the army's strongest armor piercing missiles at the monster. Just before hitting it, the missiles jettisoned their front, exposing a drill head. The missiles attached to the monster's skin with a set of legs and began to drill.

Hiromi Ogashira listened to the distant battle. They'd sent her out of the command tent, so now she juar loitered out front, listening. She heard the scream of missiles, the booming of explosives. She heard his roar.

Ogashira's fist tightened.

"You think they'll get him?" a short man said nearby.

"Of course! Even if the regular missiles, don't they're using D-02s," his friend said. "Those'll pierce that thing's skin for sure!"

"The D-02 missile is a downgraded version of its prototype, the D-03," Ogashira said. "The D-03 has been in service in the AMF for years and been deployed against Godzilla many times. To no avail."

All over Godzilla's body, the drills boring into his skin began to slow. Finally, they stopped all together, and the missiles' legs bent from the strain. The D-02s all detonated without even breaking the skin.

The rest of the military continued firing, while overhead, a trio of high altitude bombers flew above the battle. They locked onto their target and dropped a series of bunker busting bombs, the finest the Air Force had.

The bunker busters fell at terminal velocity and struck Godzilla's back before violently exploding. Although there was no blood, Godzilla threw back his head and roared. Then he dipped his head, and bent down.

"We got him!" said one of the rookie soldiers near the missile commander. "He's getting disoriented! This battle is over!"

On a nearby roof, Momo and the other Heroes watched, hoping this battle would end soon.

The Commission President sighed. Not the victory she'd been hoping for from her Heroes, but the problem would soon be eliminated nonetheless.

On a helicopter approaching Tokyo, Kenji Saegusa stiffened, a chill sweeping over him. Oh no.

He'd. Had. ENOUGH.
