My first kaiju vs giant robot fight in the series!

Enjoy!

Ogashira's eyes narrowed at the viewing screen. "Interesting."

"Those are our best mechs we've got," said one of the military men with a hint of pride. "Godzilla may be stronger, but they should at least give him a rough time. Especially with numbers.

"If I'm not mistaken, in the UA Sports Festival haven't several of that model been destroyed by teenagers? I distinctly remember an old-fashioned cannon wrecking one a while ago…"

The military man folded his arms. "Those are UA's models they use, which are unarmored to save costs and give their students a chance. Ours are designed to withstand an aerial barrage. They can take a punch"

"Yeah? From who?" said Kenji.

"I'm under no illusion they can beat him," said the military man. "But they can slow him down. We've got to do something after all…"

"Godzilla's coming! ETA 5 minutes!"

"Get those buses off now!"

"Military's trying a delaying action!"

"Yeah but who knows how long that'll last?!"

Ochako raced across the refugee center. Everyone pushed and shoved their way to board the transports like a human stampede. Heroes tried to herd them, but it was a losing battle. Overhead Ochako heard the incoming roar of fighter jets.

Ochako went around the civilians who'd fallen down, guiding them to the front. She then joined some Heroes in shepherding the crowd toward the transports with shorter lines.

"Come on, keep calm and follow me!" she said.

"Uravity!" Gale Force said, running up. "Help them clear the medical tents! I'll handle this!"

"Got it!" Ochako ran to the medical tent where the medics were moving their patients. They'd started removing the wounded on ambulances and helicopters long before Godzilla got close, but now they were running out of time.

Ochako walked up to a badly burnt patient as the medics tried to move her. Due to the severity of the patient's injuries, they had to walk at a snail's pace to avoid jostling her.

"I can remove her gravity," Ochako said.

The medics nodded. Ochako tapped the patient with her fingertips, floating her and letting them move her more easily. Ochako then went and did the same for several others, greatly speeding up the evacuation. Finally, the last ambulance pulled away. Ochako took one last look at the empty medical tent, then back to the crowd.

As she neared a group of civilians, a large object flew through the air, bounced off a building, and plummeted toward them. Ochako dive tackled a civilian out of the way as the object crashed into the street and skidded to a stop.

"Oh my God! Oh my God!"

"Is that a Zero Pointer?!"

Ochako got up and looked at the object. A large metallic head, similar to the AMF's Alpha, lay in a newly formed groove. The metal was crumpled and warped, like a box someone had crushed in their hands. Given the claw marks near its eyes, Ochako could guess what did this…

Mina ducked down against the rubble.

All her escape routes were cut off. The way behind was buried under a mountain of rubble, while the ways in front were blocked by a giant monster and several giant robots. Mina crouched by a large boulder, hoping to wait it out until she could run.

One of the Zero Pointers lunged at Godzilla, swinging its fist. Godzilla lashed out with its claw, sending the Zero pointer flying with a gash through its front. Godzilla moved to finish it off, but two of the fighter jets fired missiles at him from above.

Godzilla returned fire with his breath weapon. One fighter desperately banked sideways to avoid the blast. It succeeded, but smoke streamed from its fuselage. The plane pitched down while the pilot bailed out. The other fighter opened fire again, as Godzilla did the same. His breath engulfed the jet, turning it into a small fireball.

A Zero pointer took advantage of Godzilla's distraction, getting close and punching it in the face. It clamped its hands over Godzilla's mouth while two others grabbed its sides.

Godzilla's spines glowed. Blue energy built within its mouth, melting the Zero pointer's hands. Godzilla unleashed his breath beam right into the Zero Pointer's face, blowing it apart.

Godzilla looked to the other two grappling him, and charged his breath weapon again. Godzilla shoved one of them into a building, sending a rain of glass and concrete down. Mina ducked as rubble fell all around her.

The Zero Pointer Godzilla swung into the building let go. Godzilla then ripped his arm free from the other and backhanded it, knocking it to the ground. Godzilla's spines returned to normal. The Zero Pointer embedded in the building tried to get up but Godzilla grabbed its head, which crumpled like paper. Godzilla tore the head off and tossed it away.

Godzilla turned toward the other Zero Pointers, but the jets fired on him again. Godzilla fired at one of them, which narrowly avoided the attack. Another jet circled around and fired at the back of Godzilla's head. Godzilla whipped around and blew it to smithereens.

Godzilla swatted another Zero Pointer away, kicking up another wave of dust and rubble. A chunk of concrete the size of a coconut landed right next to Mina's head.

That was it. She had to leave. If she didn't then chances were she'd be dead long before the battle stopped.

Where are the others?! Mikumo frantically looked from side to side, trying to spot someone, anyone, from his class. Mikumo came here with the rest of his school but when the panic started, he got distracted. Now he had no idea where anyone was!

Maybe he should stay here and wait to be found? But wait, the students from the various classes got mixed together when the panic started. The teachers had no way of knowing he was gone, and he had no friends to tell em!

Another roar came from behind the buildings.

He…he had to get out of here. But where could he go? What could he do? Mikumo's seven-year-old mind tried desperately to think of something.

Help.

As if to answer to his call, someone grabbed his arm.

"Hey, do you know where-Mikumo?"

Mikumo jolted. "Uravity?"

Uravity looked around before turning back to him, "Do you know where your parents are?"

Mikumo shook his head. "I-I was with my school, but I lost em and…and…"

"Easy Mikumo. Don't worry." Uravity gave Mikumo a reassuring smile. The fear slowly left him, replaced with a gentle warmth. "I'll get you out of here. Come on."

Uravity pulled him toward the buses with fewer people crowding them. As they got close, Mikumo noticed another kid on her own. A girl his age with short (kinda ratty) brown hair, who looked from Hero to Hero, like she was searching for someone.

Uravity pulled Mikumo over and knelt next to the girl. "Hey there, do you know where your parents are?"

The girl shook her head. Uravity grabbed her too, holding her with one hand while the other held Mikumo. Uravity pulled them toward the bus together.

In front of the bus, Uravity turned around and faced the two. She intertwined Mikumo and the girl's hands and fixed them with a firm stare. "Listen to me, you two are buddies now. No matter what, you stick together. Understand?"

Mikumo and the girl exchanged glances. They turned back to Uravity and nodded.

"Ok," Uravity's gaze softened. "Now good luck you two. Take care of each other." With a final smile, Uravity turned around and hurried to help the other Heroes. Mikumo and the girl were ushered aboard and seated together.

Mikumo looked out the window, catching one last glimpse of Uravity as the bus pulled away. Mikumo's gaze swept over the rapidly thinning crowd as the bus rolled onto the street.

Mikumo turned his attention to the girl. She was looking out the window too. She sighed. "Couldn't find him."

"Who?" Mikumo said.

"Kamui Woods. I guess he's not here." Her shoulders slumped. "I'm Yui by the way. Yui Takeyama."

"Mikumo Akatani. N-nice to meet you?" Mikumo really wished he knew how to talk to people.

"Yeah," she said, looking out the window at the various Heroes. "Nice to meet you…"

Mina formed her strategy, eying a nearby intersection for her escape. She took one last look at Godzilla and the Zero Pointers fighting, then fixed her gaze on her destination. Deep breath. Starting position. Ready, set, go!

Using her slickest acid, Mina sped toward the intersection. For a moment it looked like she'd make it. Unfortunately, as she was getting close, Godzilla kicked a Zero Pointer toward her.

Mina skidded to a stop as the Zero Pointer flew by, creating a gust of wind as it passed. The Zero Pointer smashed into the edge of the intersection. Its dented body sprawled across the road, cutting off Mina's escape.

Her exit gone, Mina turned and slid to find a different way out.

She ducked past a Zero Pointer, getting dangerously close to Godzilla's foot as it came down. The impact of the foot nearly knocked Mina down, but she kept going. A shadow fell over her as another Zero Pointer reached out and grabbed Godzilla's arm. Mina swerved out of the crossfire as Godzilla slashed the robot in the chest, tearing through its armor like paper.

Mina looked for a way out. Anything!

She saw it. An alleyway!

Mina sped forward. She glanced behind her as Godzilla turned and slammed his tail into a Zero Pointer like Ojiro. The Zero Pointer's side caved in. The robot slammed into a building and stopped moving.

Mina's feet skirted around the rubble littering the ground like it was just another dance. A dance around falling concrete and giant monsters. She was almost there. Come on.

She entered the alley. Success!

Mina looked back with a smile. Her smile vanished as Godzilla blasted a Zero Pointer with his death ray and sending the flaming wreckage right toward Mina.

Mina pumped as much acid into her feet as she could and hit the accelerator. Faster! Faster! Screw control, even the risk of tripping didn't matter. She had to get out of here, now! There was a loud crashing behind her. Mina could barely keep her footing now but she kept speeding up.

Chunks of concrete flew around her. A piece of rubble hit Mina in the center of her back, knocking her forward. Mina sprayed acid from her hands, creating a slippery sheet on the ground, so her momentum could keep her going like a make-shift Slip'n'Slide. Meanwhile everything collapsed around her.

Mina finally came to a stop just out of the alley. She got up, rolled her aching shoulders and looked back.

Most of the alley was buried, with the flaming wreckage of the Zero Pointer lying atop a massive pile of brick and concrete mere meters from where Mina stood.

That was almost her.

Mina looked behind the wreckage toward Godzilla, who fired his heat ray at two other Zero Pointers, blowing them to pieces. After that Godzilla threw up his head in a victorious roar.

Alright Mina, breathe. What was her next move? Right, call the others. "This is Alien Queen. Can anyone here me?"

"Alien Queen! Are you alright!" Momo.

Mina nodded, then remembered she was talking over comms. "Yeah. I'm alright. I'm on my way to the evac zone now."

"No, that's already empty. Come to me. I want your help."

Help? "Ok," Mina said. "Send me coordinates. I'm on my way."

Prime Minister Okochi marched down the hall in his blue jumpsuit. Since the attack started, everything had been a whirlwind of chaos. First the Heroes lost, then the military lost, then Godzilla attacked large swaths of the city and the Diet had to be evacuated. It was one disaster after another! He barely had time to think of anything, let alone a solution.

"Sir, the Heroes are making a final attempt to stop it," one of his aides said.

"All their attempts have already failed! We need a different approach. We need-" Okochi trailed off at the sight of figures ahead of him.

All Might and Rando Yaguchi stood at the end of the hallway, waiting.

Mina finally reached the rendezvous point.

A group of Heroes had already gathered. Yaomomo, Kamui Woods, Koda, Ibara Shiozaki, Illus-o-Camie, Best Jeanist, Todoroki, Saiko Intelli, and a few others she didn't know, including a guy with bazookas in his elbows and one who looked like a bigger edgelord than Tokoyami.

"Alien Queen," said Momo. "Good to have you here." Momo turned to Saiko Intelli, who nodded.

Momo clapped her hands and addressed the whole group. "Alright! Since coming ashore, Godzilla has laid waste to the city. Our early attempts to defeat him have failed, my intel from the HPSC is useless, and I don't know how to reach the AMF. The only information we have is what we've seen since the battle started. Despite this, Intelli and I have developed a plan we believe could stop it, and end this nightmare for good!"

The Heroes looked amongst themselves.

"More precisely, we have two plans," said Intelli. "My quirk is limited by the data we take in, nevertheless we think these are our best shots!"

"I won't lie to you," said Momo. "This is dangerous, and both plans have a good chance of failing and us dying. But we're Heroes! We save people no matter the odds, and we don't shrink from the face of hardship!"

Intelli nodded. "Our first plan is to use Anima's quirk to force Godzilla to calm down and leave," she said gesturing to Koda.

"If that fails," said Momo. "We have a plan to trap it. Said plan requires most, if not all of your quirks."

Intelli nodded. "So, will you join us?"

One by one the Heroes nodded. The edgelord guy stepped forward and clenched his fist. "I was one of Ryukyu's sidekicks. We've all felt enough pain today! Time to make that beast feel it too!"

There were sounds of approval from the group.

"Good to hear," Intelli said, smirking. "Because your quirk is crucial to this, Agonizer."

It was fun writing an honest to goodness mech fight! I took the backstory on the Zero Pointers being repurposed military tech from the Smash comic.

Mina's scenes were originally one continuous whole but I split it for pacing reasons.

(Also I edited last chapter to say Rando was in a blue jumpsuit, since the government officials did that in Shin Godzilla, apparently to symbolize their willingness to get their hands dirty (ironic since only Rando was/is willing to actually do that))
