Finally, the final push begins! Heroes and AMF together against Villains while other Heroes and AMF fight Godzilla! Enjoy!
"Those are our tactics," the woman, Tchujimori, said. "Follow them and you might live. Ignore them, you will die."
Mina steeled her eyes and nodded. Next to her, Iida did the same, followed by the rest of the Heroes joining the assault.
Mina glanced at the Heroes preparing to raid the warehouse. Some looked prepared their gear with laser focus, others with vengefulness, while others used this moment to have some final moment of peace, such as Toru and her husband, who Mina holding each other in the corner.
Mina turned her attention back to the infantry leader, Kiriko Tchujimori, a woman whose death glare was on par with Mr. Aizawa's, talking to another soldier. Mina could just barely make out their words.
"You really trust these Heroes to fight him?"
"I trust Midoriya," Tchujimori said. "He thinks they'll be a help, and I'm taking his word for it."
Nearby Ozaki was talking with a ginger guy dressed in a similar outfit. The ginger loaded his pistol then gave a surprised Ozaki a hug, which Ozaki then returned.
Mina's gaze finally fell on the soldiers she'd be joining. She approached with a spring in her step. "Hey there!"
None returned her greeting. Some even gave her dirty looks. The one in charge Ari, the guy with the ant quirk she met back on Scaris, simply nodded at her, his insectoid features masking his expression.
Mina's heart sank. This isn't going to be easy.
"So, you're the Hero who's coming?" one of them said.
"However did you figure it out?" Mina said with a smirk.
He didn't appreciate her sarcasm. "Do you even know how to fight kaiju?"
"They explained the basics and I'm a fast learner."
"You better be, because I don't plan to die because of your mistakes," another with dog ears added. "Welcome to the suicide squad Hero."
Mina was about to respond when the command was made. Time to go. As they walked to their motorcycles, Mina steeled herself.
Showtime.
Izuku mounted his cycle and revved his engine. He looked around at his force one last time, knowing this was the last time he'd be seeing many of them.
One by one, the masers pulled out. Then the infantry. They rode through the empty streets, having a rare moment of quiet. No roars, no explosions, just the rumble of their engines on a lonely road.
He hated this. It gave him time to think, time for his mind to wander. That was the last thing he wanted right now.
Soon, the masers went their separate ways. Then the infantry split up too, with Izuku following Tchujimori. They disembarked and jogged down the road. Izuku prided himself for keeping in shape, but running with the G-Force infantry made him feel like a wimpy Middle Schooler again.
After a few blocks they took position in a spot where they could see the downed Super X-2. And there he was.
Godzilla approached the Super X-2, his spines flashing to finish his crippled opponent.
"Masers," Izuku said, "fire at will!"
At once, maser beams ripped into Godzilla's flank. Godzilla slowly turned, marching toward them. He'd only taken a few steps when a familiar whirling sound filled the air. Godzilla whipped around as the Super X-2 rose up from the ground.
Godzilla roared. The Super X-2 responded by firing missiles. Godzilla responded by firing atomic breath.
The Super X-2 ducked behind a building, fired another pair of missiles, then began flying back toward the ocean. Godzilla followed, with the AMF in hot pursuit. The chase was on.
Godzilla chased the Super X-2 down several blocks, but soon he slowed, thinking he'd won. He began to turn.
"Fire!" Izuku said.
The masers drew Godzilla back to their desired path. When Godzilla cornered one of them, so Izuku and his group opened fire.
Izuku turned and ran, following the others. Izuku looked back as the masers hit Godzilla, causing him to turn around.
Good.
That should mean Izuku and the others were-
Izuku heard Godzilla's tail hit something.
He looked up while a shadow passed over the building they were hiding behind. Izuku's eyes widened as he realized it was a rain of rubble. So that was why he turned around.
"Take Cover!" said Tchujimori.
Izuku ran toward the nearest storefront and swung his rocket launcher through the window. He dove inside and crouched down, as the whole building shook while pieces of concrete fell all around.
Finally, it stopped. Izuku poked his head up.
A soldier near him groaned.
"You alright?" Izuku said, helping him.
"Yeah, thanks rookie."
Izuku bit back the "I'm not a rookie response" and stepped out into the street. The others soon gathered there too. Tchujimori took a headcount, finding all but too accounted for.
That was when Izuku saw a pair of boots sticking out from under the concrete.
Oh.
"Midoriya?"
Izuku was used to death. He wasn't used to corpses.
"Midoriya?"
Usually when a maser was destroyed, the occupant was-
"Midoriya!"
Izuku looked up.
"Come on. We're going," Tchujimori said.
Izuku threw one last glance at the boots, then quickly followed.
"Lead Godzilla to Zone 6, plan E!" Izuku said into his comms.
The masers complied. Godzilla chased after them, kicking stone and concrete while only occasionally firing his atomic breath. Odd.
Izuku and his group helped attack. Izuku was slower than the others, both at firing and running. However, his training helped him through, allowing him to perform a little worse than a non-G-Force fighter. When he wasn't shooting, Izuku watched Godzilla's movements on his phone.
Izuku's brow furrowed. Godzilla had passed the turn. "Lead Godzilla west down Lotha Way!"
"Copy."
"You heard him!" Iida's commander said. "Open fire!"
Tenya fired his rocket launcher at Godzilla's foot. The explosion was loud, but not as loud as Bakugo. Iida swung his launcher around and began to turn. He had to be-
"Come on Hero! Hurry!"
Fast?
To Tenya's surprise, the others were already way ahead of him. Tenya activated his quirk, throwing one last look behind.
Godzilla's foot was pointed right at them.
Tenya activated his reciproburst and blasted toward the corner. He some stragglers, practically carrying them down the street toward a building well out of Godzilla's path.
"Thanks Hero," the soldier said.
Iida nodded. "It is my duty as a Hero to protect my comrades!"
The soldier raised an eyebrow. "Huh. Neat."
They rejoined the others, attacking Godzilla whenever needed. As Iida jogged alongside them, he noted their swiftness, despite the heavy gear.
"Excuse me," Tenya said to one next to him.
The soldier turned to him. "What?"
"Do any of you have running quirks?" Iida said.
The soldier laughed. "Hell no! Two of us don't even have quirks! This is all practice Hero! You know what that is right?"
Tenya ignored the jab. "In that case, you have my respect! Not many could run this fast even without the equipment!"
"To be fair, Darwinism plays a role in that!"
"Darwinism?" Tenya was now concerned.
"Slow guys tend to die!"
"Oh."
Mina slid through the street, using her extra mobility and speed to her advantage. Ari let her let her pull away from them, allowing her to use it to its maximum potential. Granted this was probably so she didn't endanger them if she screwed up, but she appreciated the gesture.
While sliding, she fired another rocket before booking it for the nearest corner. She looked back in time to see her rocket fly past Godzilla's face.
Shit.
"How?" someone said as she reached the group. "How do you miss a target that big?!"
"Hey! You try aiming in motion!"
He opened his mouth, but they were distracted by the noise of someone running.
Iida?
Mina turned and saw Ozaki jump off a bus, flip, fire his rocket mid-air, then land and run using super speed, all without breaking stride. Said rocket then hit Godzilla right in the face.
"That…that doesn't count," Mina said. "That does not count."
"You know, I'll give you that. We wish we could do that."
"Yeah," said one of the non-veteran soldiers. "Though if I could, I'd probably be a Hero like Kai."
Izuku observed the masers. So far so good. Togashi was keeping them in formation. The jets overhead were giving valuable cover, allowing the masers to attack more aggressively. As one of the masers hit Godzilla's head yet again, Godzilla's gaze swept from side to side.
Izuku's eyes widened.
"Wide shot incoming!"
Everyone ran for cover as Godzilla swept his atomic breath in a wide circle.
The area around Godzilla became a sea of fire, with half the masers on one side, and the other half on the other.
"Anyone still on this side, keep up the pressure! Infantry, support the masers!" Izuku said.
"Roger," said Tchujimori.
"Roger," said Togashi. "Akiba, Belu-be, on me."
Togashi pulled his maser out and hit Godzilla in the ear. As Godzilla turned to him, his maser pulled behind a corner while Akiba hit him in the back. Togashi pulled out as Belu-Be hit Godzilla's throat, followed by Togashi hitting him in the snout.
His maser shook as the atomic breath impacted nearby. Togashi didn't even react. Several jets passed overhead while Togashi checked his map.
Slowly but surely, they were nearing the bay.
Ochako stared at the warehouse, an inferno raging in her chest
They'd burned her city. They'd killed her colleagues. They'd crippled her mentor. They were going down.
Ochako landed on an adjacent rooftop as police and AMF gathered on the street. The guards had abandoned their posts. They knew the Heroes were there.
Ochako leapt on the street and floated a discarded car.
Doesn't matter. They won't stop us.
The order came. "Go!" said Creati.
Before anyone could move, the roar of bullets filled the air. Kazama marched forward, firing a freaking minigun into the warehouse.
"Clear," he said.
Shoto unleashed a wave of ice, covering the warehouse floor. As the assault team rushed forward, the ice near the middle exploded.
Two Villains leaped out of a hole in the floor, one looking like enormous beast, and the other wearing a suit of samurai armor.
The Beast growled. "Bring it on Heroes!"
The AMF didn't hesitate. They opened fire, joined almost immediately by the police. The beast covered itself with a hard coat of armor. It leaped forward. Police with riot shields protected their allies from being fileted, only to be sent flying.
Ochako swung her car like a baseball bat into the Villain, throwing him sideways. Kazama followed up by firing his minigun. The Beast lurched backward. Its armor cracked piece by piece. By the time Kazama ran out of ammo, it was mostly gone.
The AMF fired their shotguns. At first, they did little, but soon little splotches blood bloomed along the Beast's skin. He was resistant, but not invincible. If we can bleed you, we can k-beat you.
Nearby, the Samurai Villain levitated a pair of swords, swinging them at any Hero who got close. Mudman ran in and softened the blades, getting two shallow stab wounds for his troubles.
Rocketti fired her horns, but the Samurai kicked the horns out of the air then punched her in the gut. In response, Tailman smacked the villain with his tail, sending him backwards.
The Beast lunged at the AMF, scattering them. They tried to regroup, but he didn't give them the chance. They weren't used to an opponent who could think.
The police took the lead, letting those with riot shields take point while the AMF covered them from behind.
The Beast roared. "Filthy mosquitos! Allow me to show you a gift from our departed Emperor!"
Four miniature versions of the Beast sprouted from his back. Unfortunately, "miniature" in this case meant nearly two meters tall. They mini-beasts snarled, leaping at the police and soldiers.
The police attacked one, using their riot shields in tandem with their pistols and rubber bullets from shotguns. A second was tackled by several Heroes, including Tentacole. It thrashed and snarled, but was soon overwhelmed. A third tried to hit the AMF, but the air wasn't his turf. It was Ochako's.
Using one of Rocketti's horns, Ochako dove in and slapped him in the back, leaving the mini-beast floating harmlessly. She went for the third one, but someone else kicked it out of the air first.
Kazama landed on the ground, giving the original Beast a bloodthirsty grin. Using his super speed, he charged, ducking its swipe to kick it in the face. The Beast struck again, but Kazama leapt back and fired his pistol.
The Beast howled in pain, his claws covering one of his eyes. Ochako picked up another car and threw it, nailing the Beast in the head. The Beast threw off the car, and snarled at her.
Ochako raised her fists. It took more than a three-meter wolf to scare her.
Before it could attack, Grand leaped onto the Beast's back, sending tremors through its body. The Beast threw off Grand but Suneater grabbed him with his tentacles.
"Uravity! Keep going!" said Creati. "They have this!"
Right. The mission came first.
Ochako leapt over the Beast's head, aiming for the hole in the floor. Before she could enter, something yanked on the metal container on the back of her belt, pulling her backwards.
"Using metal?" said the Samurai. "Bad mo- "
He was cut off when Kazama punched him in the face.
"Go!" Kazama said to Ochako.
Ochako nodded and leaped into the hole.
Kazama turned to the Samurai. He hadn't picked up his swords since Tailman hit him away. Based on his comments, and the way he grabbed the metal on Uravity's belt, Kazama guessed he had a short-range magnetic quirk. Additionally, based on his form when he hit Rocketti, he was a skilled hand to hand fighter, which the armor augmented.
Kazama was going to enjoy this.
Kazama pulled out his side arm and threw it away. "Give it your best shot."
"Cocky." The Samurai reached out. Kazama felt the bits of metal in his clothes twitch, but he didn't budge.
"What's wrong? Not enough"
"Very well," the Samurai said. "I guess I'll have to do this the old-fashioned way.
He swung his leg at Kazama. Kazama blocked the kick then punched the Samurai in the facemask with his reinforced gloves.
The villain somersaulted into the air, then landed on his feet. He gazed at Kazama and got into a fighting stance. "Not bad. Show me what you got!"
Kazama cracked his knuckles and got into a stance of his own. "Ok. Let's go."
They charged.
Hope you liked that, it was fun to have some actual Hero on Villain action after so long.
