Sorry for being late, I procrastinated. Here you go!
Kazama charged at the Samurai, aiming a kick for the head. The Samurai raised his hands to block but Kazama lowered his leg and hit him in the stomach.
The Samurai flew into the warehouse wall. Kazama went to kick his helmet in, but the Samurai dodged, punching Kazama in the gut. When Kazama fell on his back, the Samurai went for an ax kick. Kazama rolled sideways just before the leg embedded itself into the concrete.
Kazama swung himself up and bared his teeth. Not bad.
The Samurai swung at Kazama's head, but Kazama blocked and hit him in the side. Punch, block, punch, kick. The two fell into a sort of rhythm, like a dance with the aim of kicking the other's teeth in.
Kazama grabbed the Samurai's arm and swung him into a wall. The Samurai kicked off. He feigned a punch, then kicked Kazama's knee.
Kazama staggered, so the Samurai spun and kicked him in the chest. Kazama was sent sliding across the floor. The Samurai sprinted at Kazama to finish him. At the last moment, Kazama swung around and kicked the Samurai in the stomach.
The Samurai fell. Kazama leapt on him and began pummeling him. The Samurai tried to block but his offensive was too vicious. He laid into him again and again until-
BANG!
Something hit Kazama's chest. He looked down and saw the smoking gun in the Samurai's hand.
BANG!
The Samurai shot him again. Only Kazama's armor had saved him. Kazama rolled backwards and quickly got to his feet. This wasn't a spar against Shinichi, he reminded himself. This was real.
The Samurai got up, pointed his gun at Kazama and fired.
Using his speed, Kazama leaned sideways just in time to avoid the bullet. It grazed him, scraping against his temple and carving a thin line on Kazama's head. If Kazama had been slower, or his armor thinner, he'd be dead. No more messing around.
Kazama lunged, kicked the gun out of the Samurai's hand, then punched him in the face. The Samurai staggered back, then got into another fighting stance.
Kazama did the same. This was it. No holding back.
For several seconds they said nothing. Various strategies danced in their heads. In the background, both could hear the Beast slowly being overwhelmed by the Heroes, but neither cared. It was just them now.
They charged.
Their attacks were ferocious, matching each other blow for blow. Kazama's blood roared in his ears.
He back flipped away from one of the Samurai's kicks. Kazama bounded off a wall and punched the Samurai in the face. The Samurai reeled. Kazama grabbed him and threw him into the wall, which cracked from the force of the impact.
Kazama charged, throwing a kick at the Samurai's head. The Samurai ducked, punching him. As Kazama staggered back, the Samurai threw another punch. Kazama moved to block but it was a feint. The Samurai hit Kazama with an uppercut, sending him to the ground.
The Samurai raised his fist. At the last moment, Kazama wrapped his legs around the Samurai's knees and pulled him to the ground. Kazama flipped onto his feet, raised his leg high, then slammed it into the Samurai's stomach.
He grabbed the Samurai's helmet and slammed it into the ground over and over. Finally, it was over.
Kazama quickly tied the Samurai up. That was a good fight.
The police and other AMF had subdued the Beast, while many of the Heroes had entered the bunker. Kazama rolled his shoulders and jumped in after them.
Ochako ran through the base, following the other Heroes. It was dark, the only light visible was those the Heroes brought with them. Ochako's eyes darted from shadow to shadow, waiting for an attack. It reminded her of how soldiers described raiding dens of Meganu-
Shoto raised his fist. Ochako staggered to a stop.
"Incoming!"
Ochako and the others dove down an adjacent hall while multiple objects whistled through the air past them. The Villains were shooting! Eraserhead activated his quirk, but the projectiles kept coming. "It's too dark!"
Shoto planted his foot and formed an ice wall. Within seconds, multiple purple darts were poking through. "Creati! Earphone Jack!"
Earphone Jack poked her boot out, plugging in her jack. "Counter-balance!" Earphone Jack fired a sonic blast down the hall, creating a brief lull in the darts.
Creati knelt down, the exposed portion of her back flashing with rainbow colors.
ametal riot shield emerged, which Emily lifted with her telekinesis while Tsu hopped onto its back.
Emily held the shield in front of the Heroes, letting the darts bounce off, then sent it rocketing toward the Villains.
There was a grunt down the hall. The Heroes rushed forward while Tsu high kicked the Villain in the head. She stretched out her tongue to grab him, but suddenly leaped back. Three Villains emerged, one burying his fist into the ground.
"I got this!" Chargebolt fired his Pointers at the Villains, hitting the one who'd punched the ground. The hallway glowed yellow as Chargebolt shocked him into submission.
Another turned himself into gas and rushed them, only to be blown away by Gale Force. He turned solid, but Shoto froze him to the floor.
The final Villain kicked the floor, sending large chunks of concrete at the heroes like cannonballs. Shoto made an ice wall, which immediately shattered. Fortunately, the impact had taken away the stones' momentum.
Eraserhead quickly erased the Villain's quirk, but the Villain pulled out a pair of daggers and rushed them.
Ochako blocked a dagger with her Urararakawrist, then punched the Villain. Eraseher head used the opportunity to grab the Villain's arm with his capture weapon. The Villain tried to cut himself free, but Ochako floated him and Eraserhead threw him into the wall.
"I've got this one, you guys go!" Eraserhead said.
Ochako nodded and hurried past him.
She passed the Villain Shoto and Gale Force defeated lying motionless on the ground, Shoto tried to grab him, but the Villain turned himself to liquid and attacked.
Shoto flared his hand, ripping it free. He and Gale Force then joined up and attacked the Villain together.
Tsu grabbed Ochako's shoulder. "They've got this, come on!"
Ochako nodded and followed Tsu. She soon took point, flying down the corridor. Seeing movement, Ochako ducked just in time to avoid a large stone flying down the hall. It slammed into the ceiling, exploding in a flash of purple.
Creati and Emily threw flashbangs down the hall. They detonated and Ochako used the opening to rush forward, only for something to hit her in the chest. Ochako was thrown onto her back. She grabbed the thing that hit her and found-
A playing card?
The Heroes shined their lights down the hall, illuminating the Villain as she picked up various pieces of kitchenware, making them glow, then threw them. They rocketed down the hall, exploding in a flash of purple whenever they hit something.
Rocketti sent two of her horns forward, while Tentacole sprouted several extra limbs.
"Uravity, are you ok?!" Creati said.
"Yeah!" Ochako said. "That felt like being punched in the stomach! I think those are kinetic explosions!"
"Ok! Good to know!" Creati knelt down, her stomach beginning to glow. Nothing emerged, meaning it was something big.
Tsukuyomi opened his cloak. "DARK SHADOW!" His birdlike shadow emerged from his cloak, its red eyes and birdlike shape making it look downright demonic.
Dark Shadow lunged forward, slamming the villain into the wall. It reached to slash her, but the villain threw at her hand, hitting the light switch. Dark Shadow screeched in pain, dropping the Villain.
Before the Villain could recover, Ochako grabbed a chunk of concrete and threw it into her chest. Ochako then leaped in and tackled the Villain, grabbing her and punching her in the throat.
The Villain pushed Ochako off, only for one of Rocketti's horns to pin her to the wall by the shoulder. Another horn flew at the Villain, but she used her quirk to blast it away. The Villain broke free and ran in front of the Heroes…
…Only to find herself face to face with the business end of Creati's creation. A cannon.
The villain pointing at herself in a "who me?" gesture.
Creati smirked, nodded, then yanked the cord. With a resounding boom, it fired a cannonball, which split open to reveal a large net, entangling the Villain. The others dogpiled her, trying their best to subdue her.
Tsu and Tailman helped Ochako to her feet while Kazama came jogging down the hall.
"You ok? Ribbit."
Ochako nodded. "Yeah, just needed to-"
Without warning, Tsu grabbed Ochako and Tailman and leapt forward. Kazama followed as the ceiling behind them collapsed, burying the section of between them and the other Heroes beneath a pile of concrete.
Tsu…She'd moved Ochako and Tailman out of the way just in time.
"The Villain, she used her quirk to start a cave-in. Ribbit. The others should be fine, but..."
We won't be getting any back up soon," finished Kazama.
"What should we do?" Ochako said. "We can't just wait while the transmitter's here."
"Agreed," Tailman said. "We're almost there and there aren't many Villains left."
Tsu nodded. "We need to take that thing down. Now."
"But since these are the ones guarding the transmitter, they're probably the strongest," Ochako said.
"Yes. Ribbit."
Ochako nodded. "Ok. Let's go."
Kazama cracked his knuckles, followed by Tailman.
They all marched to the final door and opened it.
"Fire!"
Mina fired her rocket, emitting acid from her shoes so the kickback could push her back, making it easier for her to flee.
As she fled with the rest of her AMF group she looked back.
Godzilla's eyes shifted toward them, his spines pulsing.
Was he aiming for them or someone else?
Mina wasn't sure. That was the worst part.
"Hey! Hurry up!"
Mina realized she'd unwittingly slowed down. She sped up, booking it for the corner. One of the soldiers fell, so she grabbed him and pulled him behind her, dragging him on the slick acid trail she left in her wake. Even after turning the corner, they didn't stop.
When they finally did, Mina leaned over, panting heavily.
"You alright Hero?" a soldier (wasn't his name Hiro?) said.
Mina nodded.
The one she'd helped yanked his arm free and said, "Get off!"
Mina glared. "You're welcome."
"I didn't ask for your help Hero!"
"What? You'd rather I let you die?" she muttered.
"Quit being an idiot," one solider said to him.
Another turned to Mina. "Sorry about him. Emoto hates Heroes. Blames them for us being forgotten."
"What does that have to do with me?"
"You're flashy. If you died, everyone would care. If we did, nobody would."
Mina raised an eyebrow. "You really think so?"
He nodded. "Our buddy died saving us and a dozen civilians from a horde of Meganulon. Blew a dozen away. Yet, the only non-AMF at his funeral were his family. But our Pro Hero former classmate? He got hit by a reckless driver and the whole damn town mourned him. Most of us accepted it, you don't join the AMF for fame and glory, but it drove Emoto crazy."
Mina looked back at Emoto as he stalked away. All she could say was, "Oh."
"It's getting closer," Yui said as the monster roared once again.
Akatani muttered something that sounded like "You're right."
They'd been walking for a while, but lately the monster had been getting closer and closer. Even worse, they couldn't find anyone around, not even Heroes.
"I-I think we're going the wrong way," she said. "We should try something different!"
"What?" Akatani said, clutching his head. "We haff no idea where we'r goin."
Yui turned. "You ok Akatani?"
"Yeah, just a headac"
"Ok, bu-"
The monster roared again.
"It's definitely getting close. Akatani, what should we-Akatani? Akatani!"
Akatani had let go of her shoulder and was now leaning against a street light, his eyelids drooping. He looked like someone in a movie who'd had too much alcohol.
Yui shook him. "Akatani stop!"
"I'm tire! I'm jus takin a rest!"
Panic began to fill Yui. This was bad. This was very bad. She wasn't sure, but she suspected hitting his head had hurt Akatani more than either realized. "You-you can't rest yet! You want to be a Hero right?! I'm not saved yet! So if you want to be a Hero, then save me and stay up!"
His eyes widened. He looked at her and said, "I though you didn' think I could be a Hero…"
"W-well you said Uravity said you could right?! She's an actual Hero, so what do I know? Now prove me wrong and get up!" Tears began to fall. "Please."
Akatani nodded, he got off the poll and began walking with her.
Yui clutched his wrist, hoping they could find help soon.
"He's moving toward sector 12! Belu-be, Togashi! Lure him toward the mall!"
Two beams hit Godzilla's stomach. Godzilla roared and followed, but did not fire his atomic breath.
Interesting.
They'd driven him down the highway. Looking ahead, there was going to be a large park in a few minutes. The masers can't figh there without being exposed. They should avoid it.
Izuku watched as another maser- Wait! It was going out too far! It could-
As expected, Godzilla punished the tanks mistake by blowing it to scrap.
As they got into position, Izuku checked their forces relative to Godzilla. "Tchujimori, tell the group on the other side of the highway their location's too exposed."
"Got it!"
"Togashi, the tanks are too spread out. Have them regroup."
"Yes sir."
After a minute, Tchujimori said, "He passed us. To the next position!"
While they ran, two masers attacked Godzilla. Godzilla grabbed a chunk of building and tossed it at them. One got away. The other didn't, as chunks of concrete bombarded it, shredding its turret and caving in its hull.
He didn't use his atomic breath. Izuku thought.
Izuku's legs burned and his shoulders ached from the weight of the launcher, but he kept pushing. Casualties may still be low, but everyone was getting tired. Especially the mainland fighters.
And exhaustion meant making mistakes.
As Godzilla threatened several masers, someone panicked. "Fire!"
Automatically, several soldiers stopped and took aim. Tchujimori cried out, "NO WAI-"
Too late. Several of them had let their rockets fly. Everyone looked amongst themselves. They just attacked Godzilla. From out in the open!
Everyone promptly ran for it.
As Izuku heard Godzilla's spines pulsing, he realized he'd never reach the nearest street corner. Not like the ones in front. He looked for cover, spotting a nearby alley.
He and some of the others ran into the alley. Godzilla fired his atomic breath. Izuku grabbed another soldier and dove behind a dumpster as the entire alley lit up blue and a shockwave flew down it like a typhoon.
Once it was over, Izuku and the others slowly got out. They made their way around the destroyed street, meeting Tchujimori and the other survivors on the other side.
Once they'd all gathered, Tchujimori promptly yelled, "Dammit! Did that sound like me or Midoriya?!"
"No sir!"
"Then why did any of you fire?! As long as Midoriya or I can command, only we can order a volley! What's done is done, and I don't know if the one who did it is alive. But if I catch anyone else doing something so stupid…" she let the threat hang. "Now move."
At their next spot, Izuku watched Godzilla's closely. Something was off.
Some infantry rockets hit him, but Godzilla's spines didn't glow. Some masers hit him. Again, no atomic breath. They pulsed, but no attack came.
Finally, one of the masers went out in the open. Then Godzilla used his atomic breath.
Izuku's eyes widened. He was only firing only when had a direct shot.
It clicked. Godzilla had been eating smaller portions of radiation for years. He'd expelled more tonight than in over a decade. Add Gondo's cadmium shot to that and…
Godzilla was getting tired too.
Hope you liked! It's fun doing human on human fighting, especially the hand to hand ones. That said, group fights of Heroes are hard because you have to keep track of several characters and give them something to do.
Gondo shooting Godzilla did help! Marginally. I mean, Godzilla's not going to run out of nuclear fire any time soon, but he's at least more reluctant to use it.
