Here it is! Ochako and Izuku riding into battle together again! This one was fun to write!

"Need a hand?"

Izuku felt like he was getting lighter. "Believe me Ochako, right now there's no one I'd rather see."

"Good," she said. "Come on." She climbed toward the hatch.

"Wait, are you driving?"

"You have anyone else? It's only been three years, how rusty could I be?"

"And they say I'm the reckless one." Izuku said as he climbed in.

"You are! You're also a bad influence on me."

"Given that you agreed to drive me around, I'm pretty sure your recklessness was already there."

"Oh hush."

Ochako strapped herself in. She ran her hand along the controls. "Don't worry baby, Mommy's here."

Izuku rolled his eyes and strapped himself in. "We need to get Godzilla into the bay. We've lost air support and the Super X-2, plus our forces are scattered."

"So it's mostly just us." Ochako steeled her eyes as she pulled up the maser's onboard map. "Ready Midori?"

"Ready. One last ride together?"

"One last ride."

Ochako floored it, sending the tank driving forward. They rolled down the streets like the three years separated had never happened at all. Ochako pulled a tight turn, sideswiping the corner of a building.

Ok, maybe she was a little rusty.

Godzilla came into view. He was staring with curiosity at a plastic dinosaur outside a car wash. He then lifted his leg and squished it before chasing after some masers.

"Ready Ochako? When I shoot, he will come for us," Izuku said.

Ochako nodded. Despite her back being to him, Izuku could see her smirk. "I am. Do it.

Izuku aimed at the one place he knew Godzilla wouldn't ignore. "Fire maser!"

"Akiba, with me," Togashi said. Akiba went for one flank while Togashi aimed at the other. As they lined up their shots, when another beam hit Godzilla in the eye.

Godzilla stopped. The beam hit his eye again.

Is that-

Godzilla turned toward Izuku and Ochako with a snarl.

Izuku smirked. He recognized them.

Ochako turned down a side street, then another. On his viewing screen Izuku saw Godzilla looking for them. He began to lose interest, so Izuku shot him again. Godzilla stomped in their general direction.

Finally, Godzilla glimpsed them darting between streets. He kicked a building, sending the pieces right at them.

"Ochako!"

"I see it!" She pulled a tight turn, going through a street barely wide enough for their tank. Izuku winced as they scraped the walls along the walls, but they still came out no worse for wear.

"Midori."

"On it."

Izuku hit Godzilla yet again. Godzilla chased after them with even more resolve. This time he grabbed a chunk of building, crushed it in his hand and threw it. This shot was well aimed.

Fortunately, Ochako was one of the finest drivers in the AMF. She could see where it was going before it even left his hand, making a hard right that got them out of the way as the building chunk smashed into the ground next to them.

Godzilla's spines glowed.

"Incoming."

"Yup."

Ochako yanked them rightward, throwing Izuku and herself sideways in their seats. T Godzilla's beam ripped into the street just behind them. Ochako turned down another street, but the beam followed, blasting through the buildings behind them. Ochako turned again, putting them down another street while Godzilla couldn't see them.

The beam passed by, another narrow miss.

"Rubble pile ahead."

Izuku looked over Ochako's shoulder, seeing the blockage. "Damnit. We'll have to turn!"

"There isn't time."

"Then what will you-" She drove toward a piece of concrete pointing upwards like a ramp. "No. Don't even- "

Before he could finish, Ochako drove up the ramp, took off her glove, and slammed her hand into the hull of their tank. They became weightless, flying off the ramp and over the rubble pile. They crested just over the tops of some small buildings, allowing a very perplexed Godzilla to see them.

Ochako tapped her hands together. "Release." Izuku braced himself as gravity returned and they began to fall. Before they could hit the ground, Ochako tapped the tank again, causing them to stop. She released again. They slammed into the ground, rattling Izuku's teeth.

"What the-did someone mess with my suspension?!" Ochako said.

"Well pardon us for not expecting to do jumps!"

Ochako growled but kept driving while Izuku checked their progress on the map.

Yui set Akatani down, shrinking back to normal size. "You still with me?"

Akatani made a non-committal noise.

"Answer me Akatani! Are. You. With. Me?" Please," she said in a smaller tone.

"Y-yeah. I'm still with you. We not dead?"

Relief flooded her. "No, we're alive. Godzilla's gone, but I don't know where to go. I tried to get us to safety, but I only put us in more danger. I…I…You've saved us before! You've got to have an idea!"

"Wha abou…peopa. Dija see any?"

"Yeah, but they all left."

"Follo em."

"But they didn't even notice me! What if they ignore me again?! Who's gonna-" She trailed off. "Wait. If people are fleeing, that means…Heroes."

"Uh huh."

Yui hugged him. "Akatani you're a genius!"

"Thnks."

"You're welcome," she said. She grabbed him and prepared to grow again. She wasn't looking forward to running again, but she'd do it. Akatani saved her, even when he was angry with her. It was why he was hurt. She would save him.

She was about to grow when she heard footsteps behind her. Human footsteps.

Tachibana watched the flashing G move toward the bay. "Ready the launchers."

"Yes sir!" his subordinate said. "Readying-Uh oh."

Tachibana's gaze snapped to the subordinate. "What's wrong?"

"The launchers…they're malfunctioning!"

Tachibana stiffened. "What?"

Another looked at her screen. "They must have been damaged when Godzilla hit us with his tail! We didn't notice because they worked! But all the other launches strained them until…"

"Damn it." He grabbed his communicator. "Midoriya! This is Tachibana! The launchers aren't working! We'll try and find another way to get him into the water. Just try to keep him at the bay!" He switched channels. "Analysts, you heard that. Any ideas?"

Ogashira's brow furrowed in thought while Kenji's mind raced. They needed a way to lure Godzilla into the bay. They had no long-range weaponry or air support. How could they do that? Literally the best idea that came to mind was driving their tank into the bay and hoping Godzilla followed-

Hold on.

Kenji remembered Izuku's last conversation with him. Regarding a person Kenji knew Godzilla hated. It was a long shot but…

Kenji bolted out of the tent and into the medical tent's special wing. "Where's Dynamight?!"

The two teenagers pointed at the bed. Kenji stood next to Dynamight, reaching out his hand.

Ok. Don't fail now. You can do this. Your best friends need you.

Kenji stretched out his mind, reaching into Dynamight's.

He grabbed Dymamight's consciousness, trying to drag it out of the thick mire of trauma and malaise keeping it dormant. He pulled, bringing it closer and closer to the light. Come on!

At the last second Dynamight slipped from his grasp, falling back into the abyss.

Kenji grabbed him again and pulled. Come on!

Again, Dynamight slipped back into the ether.

A third time. Nothing.

Kenji leaned back, feeling a mix of frustration and despair. He…he couldn't do it. As he prepared to try again, Kenji remembered Izuku's advice.

This is stupid but

Kenji reached into Dynamight's mind and said, Hey Dynamight, I know you want to mope after getting your ass handed to you, but if you don't get up right now Deku's going to make you look like a little bitch!

Rage exploded within Dynamight's psyche, giving him the strength to burst awake in one grand supernova.

"DEKUUUU!"

Holy shit. He did it! Kenji actually did it! Izuku was right! He did just need to give him a rea-

Kenji's eyes widened.

"Ochako!"

"Would you quit backseat driving?! I see it!" Ochako said, narrowly avoiding Godzilla's tail.

"We need to get some distance on him!" Izuku said.

"That's- WHOA!" Godzilla's foot smashed down next to them. "A bit hard right now!"

"Togashi!" Izuku said.

"Yes?"

"Shoot his eyes. Blind him."

"Yes sir."

"Hold on," Ochako said. "What are you- "

Izuku fired upward, hitting Godzilla right between the legs. Izuku actually winced at the roar of sheer rage that followed.

Before Godzilla could blast them, Togashi and Akiba's blasts hit him, obscuring his vision while Izuku and Ochako pulled ahead.

Godzilla did not let them go easily. He charged after them, plowing through any obstacles between him and killing them. He must be really sick of Izuku.

Izuku checked his map. They were close! He gripped his controls so tight his knuckles were probably white. They couldn't lose now.

"Oh shit."

Izuku turned around. They were passing a shopping mall. However, the road in front of them was completely blocked by an even bigger pile, with no ramp they could possibly use to jump over. They couldn't turn around either before Godzilla could kill them.

They were about to be cornered.

"Midori," Ochako said. "Remember when we went through a house?"

"Yeah wh-" His eyes widened. "Oh Hell."

Ochako turned, jumping the curb, and smashed through the mall's glass doors.

They were driving through a shopping mall. Great.

They plowed through a bench, turning it to splinters and smashed planter after planter. Ochako rounded a corner, crashing through part of it. They rammed a kiosk, sending pieces flying out of the way.

A massive foot crashed through the roof behind them.

Uh oh. Izuku looked up as Godzilla charged his atomic breath. That was not good. Very not good.

"Hang on!"

Ochako drove into a clothing store, shredding displays, dismembering mannequins like a mini-Godzilla. The beam went off, creating a fireball that went right for them.

The two smashed out the other end, flying off the stairs and bouncing onto the road while the store exploded behind them.

"YES!" Ochako said.

"Good job Ochako!" Izuku said. "That was way too close."

"Yeah. It was."

Izuku locked on target. Godzilla was about to fire again, but at the last minute fired into empty air.

What was that?

Kenji grinned. Gotcha!

At the last moment, he'd made Godzilla think Dynamight was coming from the air and got him to shoot there! In other words, he'd influenced Godzilla. Don't tell him what to do, just give him what he wants. And he wants to kill his enemies.

The trick also confirmed Godzilla still hated Dynamight, which would be essential for Kenji's plans.

While Ogashira briefed Commander Tachibana of his plan, Kenji turned his attention to the two most important pieces of his idea.

"I can't believe I'm doing this," Katsuki muttered as he blasted toward the bay.

"That makes two of us, Ribbit."

"Oi Scrawny! You sure this plan of yours is gonna work?"

No, but do you have a better one?

"I hate this," Frogger said.

Katsuki silently agreed. Then again, he'd picked up Frogger and was blasting toward the bay, like Scrawny said Could he really complain when he was going along with it willingly?

Yes. Yes, he could! This was the worst plan he'd ever heard!

Katsuki just hoped the Nerd got Godzilla where they needed in time. Otherwise they'd be dead for nothing.

Izuku, you always wanted to show me you have what it takes. Show me now! You've done better than me so far, so you'd better bring it home!

Yui stared at the helmeted man. "Who…who are you?" she said, pushing Akatani behind her.

The helmeted man dropped his bazooka and walked closer. Soon he was close enough that Yui could see his face beneath the visor. He looked ordinary, and his eyes seemed kind. "My name is Ozaki," he said. He pulled out a gadget and pointed it at himself and at them. He then knelt down in front of Yui and said, "Are you two ok?"

"My friend's hurt," Yui said.

Ozaki touched Akatani's head, causing him to hiss.

"What happened?"

"T-there was rubble falling. He…he tackled me, then he was bleeding, then we were walking and he said he had a headache…and…"

Ozaki focused on Akatani. "Did you hit your head?"

Akatani slowly nodded.

"It looks like a concussion. He picked up Akatani then Yui. "Let's get you both out of here."

"This is Ozaki! I'm on my way to reload my launcher. I found two children, over!"

As he ran at super speed, Yui held onto Akatani's wrist. His strong pulse comforted her.

Finally, they were saved.

Izuku and Ochako barreled into the harbor.

Made it!

Godzilla charged his atomic breath. The beam filled his mouth. "Ochako!"

Ochako pulled sideways like she had before. However, they ran over a small pile of rubble. They were only slowed by a fraction of a second.

But in this situation a fraction was enough.

The beam burrowed into the ground next to their tank. Izuku felt gravity leave him, but it wasn't from Ochako this time. Their tank was thrown on its side. It slid across the ground, then slammed into a warehouse.

Ochako and Izuku groaned. They quickly unbuckled and went out the bottom hatch, Izuku grabbing his launcher and pack on the way.

Godzilla entered the harbor, walking through a warehouse. His reptilian eyes fell on them.

"Ochako. Go," Izuku said.

"Midori, I'm not leaving y- "

"Only one of us can get out of here and I'm not having it be me!" Izuku snapped. "This is my fight! Now go!"

Ochako clearly wanted to argue, but didn't. She used her quirk on herself and took to the air.

Izuku walked forward, meeting Godzilla's gaze. Despite his certain death, he felt kind of excited.

You noticed me. Not even Ota Murakami got that honor.

Izuku found himself smiling. Alright. Bring it.

Godzilla's spines pulsed.

Then a boulder hit him in the face.

Izuku's gaze snapped to a building where Ochako stood, waving her arms. "HEY ASSHOLE! RIGHT HERE! HIT ME!"

Godzilla turned, breath still charging.

Izuku growled. Dammit Ochako!

In all likelihood, Ochako was about to die. Sorry Izuku, but I'm afraid I'm saving you one last-

Then a rocket hit Godzilla in the face.

He slowly looked down.

Fury burned in Ochako's chest. You. Moron.

She looked down, where Midori was pointing a smoking rocket launcher at Godzilla.

"I told you Ochako, this is my fight. Now go."

Izuku turned off his comms while Ochako unleashed a string of expletives in his ear. He met Godzilla's eyes, grinning at the King of the Monster's full attention.

He dropped the launcher. There was one more rocket in his backpack, but he didn't have time to load it. Instead he drew his side arm.

Godzilla's spines flashed. Soon they were fully glowing

Izuku clicked off the safety and aimed.

Godzilla's mouth filled with atomic energy.

Izuku put his finger on the trigger.

BANG!

The bit with the ramp was a somewhat last minute addition I included as payoff to her using her quirk on it before. It is also proof of the suspicion that Ochako is insane too for working with Izuku.

How'd you like that ending? Isn't it so Izuku to use a pistol against Godzilla before backing down?
