Here's the last chapter! Enjoy!

"You better not be retiring," Bunny Bitch said. "I wouldn't if I lost my leg."

"Up yours! No flesh wound is stopping me! If Villains think I'm weak, I'll blow'em straight to hell!"

Katsuki's leg was gone below the knee. Unicorn offered to heal it, but he refused. He wanted it to be a painful lesson for himself. Besides, other people needed her more right now.

"Great!" Bunny Bitch said, slapping his shoulder "Get off your ass soon!"

Katsuki flipped her off, a move she gladly reciprocated before leaving. No one was sure if he and Mirko hated each other or not. Frankly, sometimes even Katsuki wasn't quite sure. Nevertheless, with her gone Katsuki turned toward the curly green hair sticking out from behind a book.

There was still something he had to say.

"Oi, Nerd!"

Izuku looked up. "Yeah Kacchan?"

Katsuki looked away. "I'm only gonna say this once."

He turned to face the nerd. "But…you were better than me out there. Good job."

The nerd's eyes widened. They watered slightly. "Kacchan…thank you."

"Don't get all mushy on me! It was just one battle!"

Izuku nodded. "You know, Kenji said that you remind him of Godzilla. You and Haruo both."

"As a powerful and deterimined fighter?"

"As a temperamental asshole! His words not mine."

Katsuki raised a fist. "I oughta slug ya."

The Nerd's gave Katsuki a cheeky smirk, the sort he'd never dare show in Middle School. "Awww don't worry Kacchan, plenty of people get their asses kicked against their first kaiju. Though admittedly most don't get it quite as bad as you did…"

"Shut up you patronizing little shit!"

Deku turned back to his book with a quiet but cheeky, "You deserve it."

Katsuki actually laughed out loud.

The Nerd had balls. Then again, if anyone had earned the right to upstage Katsuki and roast him afterwards, it was Izuku.

"Was he here all night?" Ogashira said.

"Since Godzilla left," Shimura said, nodding to the sleeping Yaguchi. "No one had the heart to wake him."

"And her?" Ogashira gestured to the also sleeping Creati.

"That was me," All Might said. "With Intelli managing disaster relief, we decided to let her rest. She earned it."

Ogashira nodded. "Very well, here's my report." She placed some papers on the desk. "How are things going on the political end?"

"Me and All Might and handling it," Shimura said. "Right now, things are looking up."

Ogashira raised her brow. "Really?"

"Yes," All Might said, "Between the AMF publically working with the Hereos, and my personal comments about them, the AMF are viewed as saviors by the public."

"When Yaguchi wakes up, he'll hopefully be managing this new status quo," Shimura said. He glanced at her report. "Do you still think this was an inside job?"

"I do," Ogashira said. "When I find out who helped build that thing…"

Nothing more needed to be said.

Izuku left the medical tent.

A few meters away, he saw Ochako returning a crying child to his parents. She was still wearing her Hero costume, minus the helmet and gloves. Izuku could see the sweat running down her, face, making her hair stick to her cheeks.

Ochako patted the kid on the head. Izuku always admired that big heart of hers.

"Ochako!" he said.

Ochako turned to him, then bid her farewells to the family. "Midori!" she said running up. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, my suit held. You?"

"Mine too, but I exposed my hands for my quirk, so they still want me Rewound. just in case. That was a hell of a ride huh?"

"It certainly was. Not a bad final ride for you and I."

"Hell yeah. How is my baby?"

"She's out of action. That last blow damaged her."

Ochako put a hand over her heart, mourning for their dear tank. She then opened her eyes and said, "And Godzilla?"

"Disappeared into the depths. Hopefully he'll spend a few days sleeping before going anywhere."

"When he does, you'll be ready."

"Sure will. In the meantime, you and I should go catch up. It's been too long since we hung out without a near death experience."

Ochako gave him a thumb's up. "Drinks on me! I know the perfect-!"

"Excuse me."

They both looked down. A young girl with mousy brown hair stood in front of them. "You're Uravity right?" she said to Ochako.

"I am," Ochako said. She looked at the girl with the expression of someone trying to remember where they'd seen this person before.

"And you," the girl said to Izuku. "You're the one who fought that firebreathing-"

"Radiation breathing," they said in unison.

Both blushed.

"Sorry, old habits," Izuku said. "Continue."

"You're the guy who fought the monster right? And you're quirkless?"

"Yes," Izuku said.

The girl shuffled awkwardly. "Can…I ask you two something"

"What is it?"

"Is it true you think someone can be a quirkless Hero? My friend's quirkless. He saved my life and wants to be a Hero. Is it possible?"

Ochako nodded. "It won't be easy, but it's possible."

"He said you'd say that." The girl fixed her eyes on Izuku. "What about you? You're actually quirkless. Can he?"

"I don't know your friend, but if I can fight Godzilla and survive, he can fight Villains. It won't be easy and he'll have to strategize around his quirklessness, but it is possible."

"He'll also need good friends," said Ochako.

The girl looked to Ochako with an indecipherable expression. She glanced at Izuku, then back at her, "T-then…" she held up a notebook. "Can you sign this for him?"

Two young girls wailed while the nurses and other bystanders tried to console them. The girls had been saved, but their mother had died.

No comfort would help. For the girls, the world might as well have ended last night.

Akai and Toma sat in front of the fire pit. Just last night, they'd all been here. Emi, Ken, Hiro. All laughing and joking. Now Hiro was comatose, and the rest were dead.

Now it was just Akai, Toma, and the ashes of the previous night, sitting in silence.

Someone loudly burst into the tent. Katsuki rose to tell them to piss off. Instead he said, "Shitty Hair!"

"Bakugo!" Shitty Hair embraced him. "You're alive! Where's Mina?"

Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Racoon Eyes is right there.".

Racoon Eyes gave Shitty Hair a smile that would almost be more convincing if she wasn't covered in bandages. "H-hey Ejiro. You should see the other guy?"

Shitty Hair looked like he was about to cry. "You're alive."

"Yep. The AMF gave me a get-well card."

Shitty hair wiped his eyes as he slumped over. "I was worried both of you were dead…" he glanced around the tent. "I'm sorry I wasn't-

"If you're gonna throw a pity party throw it outside Shitty Hair. You're better than that."

"He's right Ejiro," Racoon Eyes said. "You didn't know it would go this bad.

"But-"

"If you really feel bad about it, just take me to dinner!" She winked at him.

Shitty hair gave her a dopey little smile. "It's a deal! Now uh," he gestured out the door.

Raccoon Eyes waved her hand, "Say no more! Go and help out Hero!"

Shitty Hair smiled, then ran out. Katsuki glanced to the side, where Nejire was being comforted by Tin Tin and Wallflower.

Mikumo opened his eyes. What…what happened?

He tried to remember. Monster…Uravity…the girl-

Mikumo shot upright. Takeyama! Where was-

Something slammed into Mikumo, pushing the wind from his lungs.

"Akatani!"

He looked down. Takeyama was…hugging him?

"Akatani! You're awake!" she said, tears brimming. "I was scared you never would."

"Takeyama? What are you doing here?"

She scratched her neck. "I've been here since we arrived. I wanted to make sure you were ok."

"Well, I am. What now?" Are you leaving?

"Well," she pulled out a notebook and held it in front of him. "Look what I got!"

Mikumo took the notebook and opened it. "Another Uravity signature? Cool!"

He looked again.

"Who the heck's Izuku Midoriya?!" Granted it was nice of someone to write Mikumo could be a Hero but-

"He's Uravity's friend! The hero of the battle against Godzilla! And he's quirkless!"

Mikumo stared at the signature, then back at Takeyama. "Whoa." His grip stiffened. "So, does this mean you think-"

"Well they say you can," she said looking away. "Who am I to argue?"

She looked back. "Akatani? Can…can we be friends?"

Mikumo froze. Friends. Uravity told him to find those, hadn't she? He could have

Mikumo threw his arms around Takeyama, so she couldn't see him cry. "Thank you."

"Your welcome Akat-"

"Yamikumo."

"What?"

"If I had friends, I wanted them to call me Yamikumo."

"Ok Yamikumo! You can call me Yui!"

"Yui?" he said.

"Yui!"

A blond woman who resembled Yui walked in, her arm in a sling. "I'm back, are you-" Her purple eyes landed on Mikumo. "Oh hey, you're finally awake?"

Mikumo nodded.

"Nice to meet you then! I'm Yuu Takeyama, Yui's mother. I'd shake hands, but I'm afraid the bones in my forearm got turned into, and I quote, 'crushed gravel'"

"Ouch," Mikumo said. His brow furrowed. "Have I met you? You look-"

Hold on.

He focused in on the face. Yui's mom gave him a smile he'd seen on many many ads.

"YOUR MOM'S MOUNT LADY?"

"Uh yeah. And my dad's Kamui Woods."

Mikumo wordlessly pulled up his covers. He was going back to sleep. He'd wake up when things made more sense.

"Hey! Yamikumo! Don't do that now! You just got up! Come on!"

"You're sure?" Izuku said.

Zeni nodded. Izuku's team had gathered in one of the barracks tents. Aside from Hayama's concussion and Zeni's leg, they'd had minimal injuries.

"My three years are up," Zeni said. "I'll stay around for you to get a new driver, but after that, I'm retiring."

"I understand," Izuku said. "I hate to lose you. You're the best driver in the AMF, second only to Ochako."

Zeni grinned. "Thanks. Part of me will miss it. You're the best gunner in the whole AMF. I'm glad I met you."

Izuku wiped his eyes. "Thanks." He turned to the rest of his team. And you?"

"We're on for a few more months after him," said Hayama. "But we'll be leaving within the year."

"It's been a good run, but all good things must end," Kisaragi said.

"You could come with us!" Akiba said, putting his arm around Izuku's shoulder. "If anyone earned his retiremen-"

"No,' Izuku said. "This is the place for me."

"The only place?" said Yashiro, frowning.

Izuku nodded. She didn't seem pleased by that.

"It's too bad." Izuku said, "You're an amazing team and great friends. I-"

"Aw, don't get all sentimental Midoriya!" Akiba said, "You're talking like we're already out the door!"

Izuku laughed. "I guess you're right. His phone chimed. "Right, I've got to meet the other officers. I'll be back."

He stepped outside. He was about to go to the command tent when a voice cut through the air.

"IZUKU! BABY!"

Izuku turned. "Mom?!"

Mom charged at Izuku full sprint before coming to a stop a few meters from him.

"Mom."

She fidgeted. "Hi Izuku. So…"

"The cat's out of the bag?"

She nodded. "Even if all this," she gestured around, "weren't enough, your teammates ratted."

"I figured. I'm sorry about the secrets. I…"

Mom barreled into him, pulling Izuku into a crushing hug. "I'm proud of you Izuku. I'm so proud of you."

"M-Mom…" Izuku put his arms around her.

The two unleashed a miniature fountain of tears.

Once they were finished (and Manuel stopped the flooding), Izuku stepped away from her. "I love you Mom. I've got to go. I'll talk you later."

"I love you!"

He yelled back. "I love you too!"

Re-Destro swirled a glass of vodka. "Any sign of them?"

"No sir," Skeptic said. "Both have vanished off our radar."

"Keep searching. When you find them, I want them here, so they can die slowly."

"Yes, my lord."

X strolled into their new warehouse. "Did the parts arrive?"

Mifune nodded. "Yes. We have all we need to build more transmitters."

"Good."

Mifune stepped away.

"Where are you going?"

"To my work table," Mifune said. "I've built the monster attractor. Now I want to take the next step."

X grinned. "Keep me posted. I want to see it."

Garaki surveyed the site. It seemed to just be a desolate quarry, everything useful long taken, leaving only tall cliffs, abandoned stones, and weeds slowly reclaiming the ground.

"What did you want me to see?" he said. "I'm a geneticist, not a geologist."

"This way sir," his red robed companion said. He pointed a pail finger at a hole they'd dug.

Garaki stepped forward. With Re-Destro hounding him for results from his experiments, this had better be-

Garaki saw the inside of the hole and gasped.

"Bring it to the lab. Immediately."

Izuku hurried toward the command tent. Kenji waited outside, reading a book.

"Izuku," said Kenji. "Glad you're here."

"How's Godzilla?" Izuku said.

"Sleeping off yesterday like a bad hangover," Kenji said. "I'm rereading my great grandma's journals. Maybe they'll help me get close like she did."

"Can you?"

"I don't know, but I want to try."

The two stepped into the tent, with Kenji humming a lullaby.

It's funny, Izuku thought, I always looked up to Ota Murakami. Now it seems we're back in his world.

Tachibana, Togashi, Tchujimori, and the other AMF leadership were inside. Izuku took his place, ready to discuss how they'd handle the new day.

A new Age of Monsters.

Hope you liked!

Surprise! Yui's parents are exactly who literally everyone thought they were!

This was my first long-fic and I never imagined I'd keep releasing weekly for over a year. Thanks for sticking with me! I'm going to take a bit of a break from this and work on other stories, but don't worry, I will come back. I have a few one-shots set in this universe to write. I've already released the first one, the Fall of Destro.

Then I have actual sequels. This is the first in a trilogy. The first next entry shall be called: The Age of Monsters.
