As the Spaniards left, Jack was still on his hands and knees searching for the cups. After a few minutes, Syrena came from the depths of one of the pools with the chalices. She looked up at Jack and held them until he could take them. Jack gently grabbed the cups as Syrena spoke, "Do not waste my tear."
Carmella and Faye were watching the two from behind Jack. "We won't," Carmella said with Faye nodding. With that being said, the mermaid then leaves to never be seen again, though Faye hoped that her and Phillip would end up together. In the near distance, Angelica and Blackbeard were gasping for air on the ground. Jack and the girls quickly made their way to the destroyed fountain. It had just enough water for the chalices. Jack stuck each chalice underneath the fountain and watched as the water entered. After a few drops went in, he took out the vial that had Syrena's tear and put it into the chalice in his right hand. Faye bit her lip as the two watched Jack run up to where Angelica and Blackbeard were.
Jack bent down with the cups in front of him. He looked over to Angelica and said, "Drink this. This one has the tear." Angelica and her father were beginning to move so that they could get the chalice. "You must drink the other," Jack said to Blackbeard.
"No!" Angelica said quickly.
"I cannot save you both. One of you must sacrifice." Jack said simply.
"You take it, Father, for your soul," Angelica said as she looked at her father.
"Captain Teach, she's dying. You must save your daughter," Jack tried to say it convincingly and desperately. Teach looked at Angelica as Jack held the chalice in his right hand towards him.
Blackbeard then points to the chalice that was closest to him, "This one takes life?" He asked. "This one has the tear and gives life?" He asked as he pointed to the other chalice.
"Aye, hurry," Jack said quickly.
Blackbeard then grabs the cup in his left hand and drinks it. "Angelica…Save me, my child." He said to his daughter as he pointed to the cup.
Angelica went to grab the other cup and started to drink its contents. "No." Jack said softly.
When the cup dropped from Angelica's hands, she turned to look at Blackbeard, "I love you, Father," She said gently. Jack watched quietly before getting up. He begins to walk away before stopping and turning to the two again.
"Wait a minute. In fact, it might have been the other way around," he said to the two. "This cup had the tear, that one had the other bit," He corrected himself as he pointed to the two chalices on the ground.
"Trickster!" Blackbeard yelled.
"Hmm?" Jack asked.
"Devil!" Blackbeard snapped as he was now standing up.
"It is over, Edward Teach," Carmella said as she made her way up to Jack's side, with Faye floating beside her. "You made your bed, now lay in it."
"Father!" Angelica cries as she looks at where she had gotten cut as it begins to heal, while the water starts to swirl around Blackbeard. Angelica then turns to Jack, "You bastard! How could you?" She yells at him.
Jack made a snarky remark,"Your father saved you. Perhaps his soul is now redeemed, eh?"
"I highly doubt that," Carmella deadpanned.
The fountain then rumbles as water bursts out as it surged to Blackbeard, while gently flowing around everyone else. The water wrapped itself around the man with the wind whistling, which made Fayes' eyes go a little wider at the force of the magic. The group watched as the water and wind ripped Blackbeard's body into shreds as it left a skeleton husk behind. His hand reaching out towards Angelica from within the whirlwind was what remained.
Seeing how Angelica was still in shock, Faye used her wind power to pick up some rope that was left behind and tied it around her wrists. Before using the same power to pick her up to walk with the group. Before the small group that consisted of Jack, Angelica, Faye and Carmella left, Carmella had picked up the chalices before dropping them into the pool, so that no one was able to get ahold of them anymore. Then the two follow Jack back out of the cave and back to where a boat was waiting for them bobbing on the ocean. Faye then gently set Angelica down on one side of the boat while they all got in.
Jack began to row. A little while later, the group came up to a small deserted piece of land in the sea. "I hate you," Angelica said to the group.
"The feeling is mutual," Carmella said as she helped Jack by pushing the boat with waves that she created.
"The years I possess, stolen from my own father!" Angelica continued.
"Well if it would've been the other way around, he would have the years stolen from you!" Carmella mutters.
"She clearly thinks that her father actually cared for her," Faye said with a sigh. "It's pointless to even try and persuade her otherwise."
Jack then interrupts by saying, "I only helped Blackbeard do what any father should have done."
"You are cruel and ignorant," She hissed.
"Are you sure you are not talking about yourself?" Carmella asked in a matter of fact way. That resulted in a glare from Angelica.
It wasn't long before they had reached the shore of a deserted island. Jack then pushed Angelica onto the sand before throwing a pistol to her. "One pistol, one shot," he said simply.
She manages to turn herself over to spat at him, "To kill mystelf before I starve?"
"There's no trusting you, love. Besides, this is a well-traveled trade route," Jack said simply. "You can signal a passing ship. Or you can just bite the proverbial bullet, as it were." He then started to walk away and towards where the girls were waiting by the boat.
"And how will I get free of these bonds?" Angelica asked.
"You broke free of your bonds half an hour ago," Jack said simply without looking back. "Waiting for the precise moment to pounce." He then quickly turned around to grab the stick that Angelica had swung at him.
"Admit it, Jack," Angelica began to say. "You still love me," She murmured as she got closer to his face.
"If you had a sister and a dog, I'd choose the dog," Jack said simply as he pushed her hands away from him before heading to where the girls were once more waiting by the boat.
"Treasure! There is a chest with jewels!" Angelica cried out in an attempt to bring him back. "Jewels with the power to rule the wind and tide!"
"We already have those powers covered!" Faye said with a laugh as she flicked her hand a bit to cause a wind to stir up and push Angelica away from Jack. Carmella started to cackle at what her sister did.
"Wait!..." Angelica called from being pushed away. "I am with child. Yours!"
"Not possible," Carmella said knowingly.
"I don't recall that we ever had…" Jack said from beside the boat now.
"You were drunk!" She countered.
"I've actually never been that drunk," Jack said simply. He was about to push out the boat but Angelica interrupted him again.
"There is something I want to say to you," Angelica said.
"Then say it already," Faye said, a bit exasperated as she was getting frustrated. The wind was starting to pick up once more as the palms of the palm tree were beginning to sway.
"This is just sad and kind of pathetic," Carmella sighed.
"Something I wanted to say from the moment we first met," Angelica continued.
"Go on, then," Jack said simply.
"I love you," Angelica said.
Both Carmella and Faye just rolled their eyes.
Jack looked at her before going over to her to cup her chin a bit, "As do I. Always will and always have," he said softly. But before they could kiss, he quickly turns away and says, "I gotta go." He then books it to the boat and hops on while Faye and Carmella laugh.
"Jack! This is not over!" Angelica screams as the boat gets farther and farther away from the island. They then hear a gunshot as Angelica had shot the one bullet towards them and missed.
"You missed!" Jack called her.
While Jack was dealing with Angelica, Captain Barbossa made his way over to The Queen Anne's Revenge. He chuckled a bit smugly while saying, "The Revenge is mine." Once onboard, Barbossa changed his clothes and gripped the steering wheel in thought. The cabin boy came up towards him and said, "Sir…We found this below decks." In the boy's hand was a hat that was similar to his pirate hat. He gently took it into his hands before placing it on his head. He then unsheathed the sword that he had stolen from Blackbeard which unfurled the masts before pointing it into a direction. The ship then lurched into motion as it began a new adventure.
"All hands! Ply to windward!" Barbossa said to the crew. "Get cracking, ye blooming cockroaches!" He said with a cackle. He then took out the contract that bound him to the crown. "The Crown served me well. But now, by the gods of sea and sky…make way for Tortuga!" He then rips up the contract and throws it to the wind. "I'll be seeing you two soon, my dears," He said as he thought of Faye and Carmella.
After a few hours out on the water, Jack and the girls landed on a beach. The meeting spot where he told Gibbs to meet them at. Jack got out of the boat and towards the man. "Gibbs, you filthy, besotted shellback, you made it!" he said gleefully. Faye and Carmella were following right behind him.
"Nice to see you Gibbs," Carmella said with a smile.
"Aye!" Gibbs responded.
"And I trust we managed a profit from our joint enterprise?" He asked as he got to the large piece of driftwood that Gibbs was lounging on.
"Feast your eyes," He said as he pointed to the ship in the bottle next to him. Jack then bent down and gently took the bottle in hand. Gibbs then stood up and came next to him with the compass in his hand. "The compass led me straight and true," he said to him.
"What of Blackbeard's men guarding the ship?" Carmella asked.
"I employed the selfsame maneuver me and Jack perfected in New Guinea," Gibbs said with a smirk.
"Oh," Jack said in thought.
"Seemed a shame to leave an entire fleet behind." Gibbs then held up a giant sack of ships in bottles.
"Shame indeed," Jack said before the lot of them started to chuckle. Jack then stood up and headed towards the shore to look into the bottle. He squinted his eyes to look more into it and saw the monkey and sighed, "I hate that monkey."
"So, the Pearl…Any idea how to get her out?" Gibbs asked.
"We shall need a crossbow, an hourglass, three goats," Jack began to list off. "One of us must learn to play the trumpet whilst the other one goes like this…" He said as he wiggled his fingers in front of him. Gibbs looked confused.
"I know a man with a goat," Gibbs said.
"Good, I can go like this," He said as he started to wiggle his fingers again.
"Why don't you just break the bottle?" Carmella asked with an arched brow and her arms crossed with Faye chuckling at the two.
"Let's not risk that yet," Jack said simply. Then the small group started to walk down the beach at sunset.
"Jack, I have to ask…You had the chalices, the water, the tear…You could have lived maybe forever," Gibbs said.
"The Fountain does test you, Gibbs. But better to not know which moment may be your last. Every morsel of your entire being alive to the infinite mystery of it all. And who's to say I won't live forever, eh? Discoverer of the Fountain of Youth," Jack said with a chuckle. "I have no say in it, Gibbs. It's a pirate's life for me."
Carmella and Faye just rolled their eyes as they walked beside them. Ready to start their next adventure, wherever it took them.
