"Man would you hurry up, it's freezing outside!"

"I'll be just a minute! Sheesh." Natalie pulls down her pants to pee. She heard the loud music of the car they were using for their road trip, whatever band was playing she didn't mind it at all. "Done." Just when she walked back to the car she saw all the doors wide open. "What, you guys need to pee too? I'll wait." Brr. Natalie closes the doors, no way was she freezing to death waiting for her friends.

Ten minutes later she was wondering what was going on.

"Guys? This isn't funny anymore!" She was standing outside of the car calling her friends names. "Zack? Ian? Lauren?" Where the hell was everyone?

"Where are you taking us? We offered you our wallets, plus everything we have."

The guy leading them away was silent. Zack was getting scared but tried not to show fear.

"Is this a prank? Tell Ben he could do a lot better." The two couples were heading to a major football game in Arizona, it was the championship game between Ohio State and Adams.

The guy ignored him.

"Ian? What's going on?" Lauren asked. She was trying not to cry, but it was hard.

"Wish I knew." There was only one guy, but he easily kidnapped all three with little ease. He leads them away with tightly bound rope around their hands and ankles making it impossible for any to escape. When they saw an orange glow in the distance they couldn't help but feel scared.

A group of six vampires were sitting by the fire drinking beers. When they looked up to see the four college students, they started whooping and hollering.

"Guess who brought take-out!" One of them laughs.

"We'll be eating well tonight!" Another calls out. When they saw the girl crying, his mate started taunting her.

"Awww. Looks who's scared." The woman walks up to Lauren and sniffs her. "All right! Guys, this one's a virgin!"

"Woooo!" The group hollers.

Lauren immediately starts crying extremely hard.

"What's the matter? Don't worry we won't do what you're thinking. You'll still be pure once we drain you dry. It's so hard to find fresh meat these days." The vampire laughs.

"Hey! That's my girl you're talking about!" Ian seeing his girlfriend crying made him furious.

The female vampire turns her attention to him. When she started sniffing him, he spat in her face. But when she wiped his spit off her face and ate it, Ian's heart started beating faster when her face sprouted fangs.

"Looks like we found our sacrifice!" She yanks his bounds off his hands and legs. "These three are yours! This one is coming with me!"

Lauren screamed as her boyfriend was taken away, whatever they were doing to him, she hoped he went quickly, unlike Zack who was getting torn apart right beside her.

Natalie jumps hearing screams.

"Oh god." That was Lauren. She runs towards the other direction leaving the open car behind.

"You sure you don't want to join us?" Her mom asked. She was holding Devon John in her arms.

"I'm sure." It's been two days since Dean left town with his brother and Bobby to New York, she declined a ride to the airport saying it was too hard travelling with two small children alone. Her parents just arrived in Lawrence to help out with the kids. "You have fun." Jenna was swamped with work.

"Okay. We'll be back in a few hours, we'll try not to bother you."

"Remember Piper is close by. Any emergencies, I mean any emergencies, don't hesitate to call." Jenna was happy she didn't have to hide the supernatural from her parents.

"We'll keep an eye out." She didn't like the idea of her daughter fighting evil, but she felt better that there was a powerful witch close by.

"Bye DJ! Have fun with Granny and Grandpa!" Laura was already in the car with Maurice. "Have fun!" She kisses her baby. "See you tonight!"

Once her mom left Jenna went to sit down to do her work. Just when she turned on her computer, she got a text from her sister-in-law.

'Is everything fine there?'

'If you're thinking I'm looking for a case, you're dead wrong. I'm in the middle of a project.' Jenna shook her head. Piper was worse than Dean sometimes.

'Okay. But if you want some company, just call.'

'Will do.' Jenna puts down her phone. She knew Piper was just bored, she always called her or her sisters whenever Sam was away.

RING! RING!

"What now?" When Jenna saw the message her eyes went huge. "No."

'Is this Jenna? My dad, please help us.'

The text included a picture of a dead body of a guy whose neck was sliced wide open.

"Gayle." But that was impossible. Just as she was about to check online for any unsolved murders, she shook her head. "Nope. Not my problem." There were other hunters out there, besides she quit. Purposely blocking Ryan's number, she immediately started doing her work.

A bored Jenna was watching television with her parents, she finished her work and sent it hours ago to her client. With DJ and Laura sleeping in their rooms, Jenna decided to spend time with her parents to keep her mind occupied.

"Mom, what's wrong?" They were watching the news, her parents liked to watch television before bed.

"A group of college kids went missing. That poor girl, she was found wandering the road by herself." Her mom sniffed.

"Yeah, that's sad." Jenna thought about Ryan's text but forced the thought out of her head. No way was Gayle back in the country. She saw the names of the missing college students, but when she saw one she recognized, she immediately changed the channel. "I don't want Laura seeing this." The picture Ryan sent her earlier was that guy. "I'm going to make hot chocolate. Want a cup?" She pushed the thought of that guy out of her head, it wasn't her problem anymore.

Jenna was sleeping on the couch afterwards since her parents took her and Dean's bedroom, she didn't mind their home was pretty small. At the moment she was playing on her phone watching goofy dog videos.

"You look like Marbles." Jenna missed that old dog, sadly he died of old age years ago. She looked over at Miracle who was sleeping next to the kids' rooms. "I bet you two would've gotten along." Like her old dog, Miracle was fiercely overprotective of his owners, especially the kids. Just as she was about to put away her phone and go to sleep she got a text from Dean.

'How's things out there?' Dean, always worrying.

'Good. Before you ask, I'm being good.' She made a promise to stay out of trouble. 'Kids are in bed, wanna chat?' Dean being away and with her parents here made her lonely.

'Believe me, I want nothing more. But Bobby, Sam and I are sharing a room.'

'Darn, guess we can wait till you get back, rents will be gone by then. We can ask Sis and Sam to babysit, send Bobby to a motel for the night.' Bobby was temporarily staying with them since he had nowhere to go. He sometimes alternated with Sam and Piper whenever he knew they wanted to be alone.

'Looking forward to it, already bought the condoms.' They were being extra careful, they didn't want another happy accident. 'Night Babe.'

'Night.' She puts away her phone and wraps her blanket around her body to fall asleep.

"She was murdered, just for being a vampire."

"Nope." As much as she felt for Gayle, she was done with hunting. She closed her eyes and forced herself to fall asleep.

"He's growing up so fast." Her mom was cooing over DJ. "He looks like your brother when he was his age."

"Probably." Personally, she thought DJ took after Dean, especially his lips. "Gotta get Laura ready for school." She thought about Magic School but decided against it. She didn't want her kids growing up the way Dean and Sam did. "Mind cleaning up DJ?"

"Sure honey."

While her mom was busy with the baby, she went to fetch Laura from the living room.

"Dad. You know I don't like the kids watching the news." There were so many bad things going on in the world, that she didn't want her kids exposed too early.

"Sorry. Sesame Street wasn't on." Her father was watching the news channel. Just before he shut off the television a news story caught her eye.

"So far police have no leads, the FBI believes this is the work of a serial killer." The news anchor droned just before her father turned off the TV.

"I know that guy." She recognized him from Dean's contacts, that guy was a hunter.

"He's the eighth one. Men and women are getting killed off in both Ohio and Arizona." Maurice wasn't much of a crime buff, but this case fascinated him. "Necks were ripped straight out. Oh, sorry." Laura just walked into the room.

"Yeah." She couldn't help but be suspicious if those other victims were hunters. "Sweetie, get your coat on, the bus will be here soon." She thought about Ryan's text. Gayle couldn't have done that, he wasn't a murderer. But she couldn't help but wonder.

She waited till her parents left for their walk before she turned on her computer. She swore to Dean she wouldn't hunt, but she couldn't help seeing who those victims were.

'Wally David, age 42 found dead in his home, death is considered suspicious.'

'Geoffrey Slate, 29 body was discovered with signs of exsanguination.'

Paulette Frank, age 32 died from a break and enter, police are currently investigating.'

The list went on, five more murders, almost all identical, dead from massive neck injuries.

Then those missing college students. Arizona, and Ohio, those hunters killed were from those two states.

"Hell of a coincidence." It couldn't have been Gayle, she saved his life and sent him and his son to Scotland. The feeling nagged at her. To make sure, she picked up the phone.

"Knox Institute."

"Hi, this is the Arizona Board of Education, we are currently looking for Gayle Snippert, we need information about Ryan's vaccine records, there was a recall on some medicine. I see. No, that's okay, we'll send a letter to his next contact. Have a pleasant day." Jenna clicks off her phone. According to the secretary Gayle quit his job at Knox and moved back to the States with Ryan. But why?

Jenna stared at her phone. She blocked Ryan, she wanted nothing to do with hunting. But the guilt nagged at her. Ryan was barely a teen when he was sent away. Was he killing humans, with Gayle covering up the murders? But how? Why leave a safe place to live? Ryan and Gayle were perfectly safe there, monsters were welcomed with open arms.

She was tempted to call Piper, but just as she was about to click her name, she put down her phone. Piper had too many things on her mind at the moment, whatever was going on with that Zoe kid couldn't be good.

"We're home!"

Jenna shuts off her computer. It was time for DJ's bath.

"Cox? Who is that? First Men of Letters, then Murphy, just how many organizations are there? Just be careful Dean, you don't know how far the rabbit hole goes. Oh, the kids are fine." Jenna was currently packing a small bag with her things. "Laura and DJ are having a blast with Grandma and Grampa. Me? Just finished my work, once it starts trending we can start building that extra bedroom for guests." Jenna made sure to pack light, she had to solve this case before Dean got back. Magic School? You know how I feel about that place. Oh, you too? Yeah, I want our kids to have a normal, boring life, no magic, no hunting. Sam will figure things out, he's been through worse. I don't know, I assume Piper is with Mel somewhere. You know how wonky time is over there." Jenna had to make sure she packed some weapons, vampires weren't exactly friendly. "Okay, stay safe out there, I'm going to have dinner with Mom and Dad. Love you, bye." Jenna throws down her phone and takes out one of Dean's flip ones. "Mom, did you feed the baby?" DJ was breastfed, but she sometimes fed him from the bottle.

"Already did, he's getting ready for bed with Dad."

"Mommy, are you leaving?" Laura walked in to see Jenna zipping up her bag.

"Work called, I'll be home in a few days." Hopefully, she beat Dean before he came back from New York.

"Like Daddy?" Laura didn't like it whenever Dean left town.

"Just for a few days. Mommy has an important job. I'll be home as quick as I can."

"Will Aunt Piper come over again?" Whenever Dean was away, Piper always came for a visit.

"Maybe. But remember Granny and Grandpa are here." Jenna hated to leave her kids, DJ was still so young.

"Okay Mommy. Love you." Laura kisses her mom.

"I love you too." Laura was heading for first grade this year, she only stayed in kindergarten an extra year because of a mix-up with her age. "Have lots of fun with the grandparents, and be a good big sister for DJ."

"I will." Jenna and her mom waited till Laura left the room to talk alone.

"Will you be okay?" Her mom wasn't happy that Jenna was leaving for a job, she and Maurice swore to keep her secret from Dean. "It sounds dangerous."

"I'll be fine. I'm just helping out a friend." Whatever was happening with Gayle, she just wanted to keep Ryan safe. As for those vampires, she left a few messages on that hunter's website. She was sure that nest was being watched now. "Did I pack dead man's blood?" She bribed a coroner for some the day before.

"A lot of people died, I'm just worried."

"I'm not doing a case, I'm only taking this stuff for protection." She threw in her tribal necklace, she always wore it for luck whenever she was on the road.

"The murders happened in both Arizona and Ohio. That's a lot of travelling." Kansas was smack dab in the middle.

"The college girl was found in Ohio, as for Arizona some hunters are checking it out." Jenna needed to make new IDs, as well as buying new wigs. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

"What if Dean comes back?" Dana hated lying.

"Tell him I'm with a client." It was technically the truth, Ryan asked her specifically for help, not for a hunt.

Dana sighed.

"Just think about your children. I don't want to lose you too."

"Oh Mom." Jenna held her mom as they tried not to cry, it was hard losing Devon. "I swear I'll stay out of trouble." She missed her brother everyday. They hugged for a full minute before Jenna pulled away. "I'm going to read to Laura before bed, I'm going to turn in early today." She had to leave right before sunrise.

"Same here." Dana waited till Jenna finished packing up before getting the bed ready. "If you need help, we'll be there as soon as I can." Dana and Maurice weren't hunters, but they'll be damned if Jenna was hurt.

"I'll be fine. Besides I have Paige's number. She can orb me home if I'm in trouble." She was glad her sister-in-law was half-whitelighter. "Have a good sleep." She grabs her bag to leave it by the back door.

Jenna yawned as she polished off her liquid breakfast.

"Morning. Want some oatmeal?" Maurice asked as he walked into the kitchen to make hot coffee.

"Not thanks. Already ate." She threw her now empty conditioner in the recycling bin.

"It's pretty chilly outside, are you sure you don't want to borrow my car?" Maurice supported his daughter in everything but wanted her comfortable.

"I appreciate it, but the bike can handle narrow roads." She knew most monsters lived off the beaten path, especially vamps. "If you're wondering, already promised Mom I'll be careful." She was wearing leather but had a heated vest underneath her jacket.

"Can't blame mom, she always is overprotective." He smiles when Jenna wraps her arms around his body.

"I love you too. I promise I'll come home safe and sound." It was bad enough she was leaving her kids, but saying goodbye to her parents hurt as hell too. "I gotta hit the road soon, I want to reach Canton before midnight." It was a day's drive. Once she pulled herself away, she thanked her dad for the cup of coffee he handed to her. "Thanks, Daddy."

"Hope you don't mind black, we're out of oat milk." Like Jenna, Maurice ate healthy.

"Just be careful now." Dana was usually a heavy sleeper, but she wanted to see her daughter off. Both she and her husband were wearing robes, it was a very chilly morning. She shivered at the cold.

"I swear." Jenna backs out her Harley. "Remember DJ has a strict schedule about feeding, Laura, she eats a regular diet, so don't worry about vegan meals." She wasn't worried about DJs, he was just a baby. "If there is any trouble, call Piper, she can kick better ass than Dean and I combined." She turned the key, the motorcycle purring with life. "Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!" She kisses her hand and waves goodbye. She already kissed her children earlier, luckily neither woke up.

"Love you too. Be careful!" Her mom waved goodbye as her daughter drove away.

Thirteen hours later Jenna throws down her duffle. She tried not to think about what was living in the walls, this room was all she could afford thanks to the amount of cash she was carrying.

"This better be worth it Gayle." She barely remembered Ryan, they only met once at the airport. She peeled off her clothes to take a hot shower before bed.

'How's NYC?' Jenna loved New York, she spent a lot of time there when she was younger.

'Not much better than LA, it's just as smoggy.' Dean hated big cities. 'Can't talk long, this bar is packed.' Dean told Jenna he was having beers with an old friend.

'Be careful. The city can be a lot more dangerous than a nest of vamps.' New York wasn't the safest city.

'Vamps?' Whoops. Jenna knew how suspicious Dean was these days, especially after the events of Cole's death.

'Mom and Dad were watching Interview With the Vampire last night.' She lied. Truthfully her mom hated vampire movies or any kind of horror.

'The gay vampires? A good beheading could have ended the movie if Pitt cut off Cruise's head a lot earlier. Dunst could have waited ten years to grow up.' Like Dana, Dean detested vampires.

'Stay safe babe. Heading to bed, early shift tomorrow.' Jenna had to talk to that girl who was found wandering alone on a highway.

'Tell the rents thanks for being there. Have a good sleep. Tell the kids Daddy will be home soon.'

'Goodnight.' Once Jenna put down her phone, she opened her tablet to see the report of the missing college students.

'The body of missing student Zack Eypor was found nearby I-77 authorities are currently investigating.'

"Damn." Jenna thought about Ryan's text. This wasn't the same guy he sent her, this was someone else. The feelings of guilt and shame washed all over her, she could have prevented this. She shook her head. There was still one more student out there, hopefully it wasn't too late. She put down her phone turned off her lamp and fell asleep.

Jenna grimaced at her reflection the next morning. She worked her ass off but still wasn't satisfied with her work. She looked critically at herself.

"Glamouring would be so much easier than this." Jenna was going to interview that college student, and find out what exactly happened that night. She finishes putting on her makeup. "There!" She was wearing a wig with coloured contacts, she didn't want to be recognized. "This is as good as I could get." Hopefully, Dean and Sam didn't recognize her this time. She picked up her phone to read over what that hunter sent her from Arizona.

'It was definitely vampires, although I don't understand why a few just had their necks slashed. Our contact in Ohio said the same thing. Be careful, this isn't an ordinary case. Before you ask we're going after that nest over here, Ohio is all yours.'

'Take care out there.' That guy sent over everything he knew about those murdered hunters, it was pretty bad. Almost all of them died from extreme torture, except the two who died from slashed necks. Jenna put on her necklace and gave it a squeeze for luck.

"I'll be careful Dean." She hoped this case didn't go sideways. She already unblocked Ryan and sent him a message, apologizing for her rudeness. Unfortunately, he never answered back. "Time to go." She picks up her gear and leaves her room.

Jenna hoped her motorcycle didn't attract too much attention, especially when she was posing as a US Marshal. She figured the FBI thing was getting too old. She parked across the street at a coffee shop, she didn't want anyone asking questions once she spoke to Natalie.

"Kim Gordon. I'm looking to interview Natalie Aswen." She had her forged papers ready, just in case. Jenna held up her fake badge, unlike Sam and Dean, she had hers professionally done thanks to Murphy.

"Your partner is already here, just head to Room 21." Her partner? She hoped it wasn't Dean, she made a promise not to hunt. When she knocked on the door where Natalie was she was dismayed to see who was sitting across from Natalie.

"Seriously?!" Just how?

"Agent! I thought you were on vacation." Murphy was holding a notebook. "Miss Aswen, this is my partner, Agent..."

'Kimberly Gordon, US Marshal.' She holds up her fake badge.

"The Marshals and FBI are working together, our jurisdiction needs all the help we can get." Murphy was always a smooth talker, Jenna noticed how calm Natalie looked when Murphy talked.

"Agent, mind if I interview Natalie alone, we need info for our own investigation." She didn't trust Murphy, not one bit.

"Of course. I'll be back soon." He smiled at Jenna as he walked out.

"I'm sorry about the confusion, we were delayed." She hoped Natalie didn't recognize her, a lot of people her age were fans of hers. "Can you tell me about that night?" She picked up her recorder, she was never good at taking notes.

Natalie sighs.

"It was like I told the cops. I went to the bushes to you know." She looked down. "I was less than two minutes. When I walked back to the car, everyone was gone." Natalie was so shaken up when the police found her that she was almost comatose. She was taken to the hospital for observation. "I lost track of time after that. I'm sorry." She looked out the window.

"Okay." Jenna had to tread very carefully, Natalie was clearly very mentally fragile. Whatever she saw out there, she was terrified of the previous night's events. "Tell me everything about that night, I won't push you." She pressed pause on her recorder, she didn't want to record silence.

Natalie didn't turn around, she didn't want to look at anyone. Jenna patiently waited a full minute, unlike Sam who would immediately start pushing her. Once Natalie opened her mouth, Jenna pressed record.

"We were on a road trip to see a game. Ian, Lauren, and Zack, all four of us were heading to Arizona. It was a long trip from Ohio, normally we would fly, but Zack insisted on taking his dad's car." Natalie was looking out the window, lost in her memories. "It was a very long drive, we were still hours away from the hotel. We all took turns driving, we couldn't afford to stay overnight in any rooms we came across." Natalie teared up. "We just hit the road after hitting an all-night diner, I had a lot of coffee to drink since it was my turn to drive."

"Go on." Jenna said gently.

"I couldn't hold it anymore and pulled over." Natalie wished she held it in, the nearest rest stop was only a few minutes away. "When I walked back to the car, everyone was gone." Natalie still was looking out the window. "My friend, he, he was found dead. And it was all my fault." She sniffed but held back her tears.

"I'm sorry." Jenna sympathized, she too felt responsible for Zack's death. "You didn't know."

"I could have kept driving. Zack would've still been alive. Ian, Lauren, all of us could've been home safe and sound right now." Natalie refused to see anyone, she checked herself in a mental health clinic to deal with her survival guilt. "I want to be alone now." She sighed.

"Okay. But before I go, I just have one question." She had to be very careful about what she was going to ask. "When you walked back to your car, what did you see, or didn't see." She kept her face neutral as Natalie turned around. "Take as much time as you need, remember, you're not a suspect." Jenna hoped Murphy kept the authorities away from Natalie.

"I heard screams. I've been friends for years with Zack and recognized them instantly. When I heard Lauren's I didn't think, I just ran." Natalie's eyes glazed remembering that night. "The keys were in the ignition, when I took off, all I cared about was running. I think a part of me left my car behind on purpose just in case my friends came back." Natalie blanked out why she ran. "All I remember is running into the police a few hours later, they drove me to town."

"Thanks for your time." Jenna clicked off her recorder. When she left the room she was dismayed to see Murphy waiting outside. "This has nothing to do with you." Whatever Murphy wanted she was a stranger to him. She walked quickly to the elevators.

"Wait!"

Jenna hurried into the elevator just as it opened, unfortunately, Murphy managed to catch her by running in.

"Phew. Good thing I work out pretty regularly."

Silence. Jenna stared at the numbers wishing the elevator would hurry up.

Knowing there were ears everywhere Murphy didn't say anything either. Instead, he waited till the ride ended to follow his former employee.

"I'll walk you to your car."

"Don't bother." Jenna hoped the Harley threw him off. She walked ahead purposely ignoring him.

"This is yours?" Murphy whistled. "Your husband has good taste." He was admiring the Harley once he caught up to Jenna.

"Yep." Jenna didn't want to engage in conversation. She puts on her helmet.

"Here." Murphy holds up his card. "I know you want nothing to do with me, but this case will go faster with two people."

Jenna revved her engine leaving Murphy behind in the dust, his business card flying away in the wind.

"No thanks." Jenna mumbled as she drove away.

The town sheriff was telling Jenna about finding Natalie. Like his partner, he was wondering why a single woman was wandering alone down an empty highway.

"So Natalie, she was found in a daze." Jenna already heard the story, whatever happened to her must've traumatized her to the point where she couldn't deal with the guilt. She was wearing the same disguise as earlier, except her wig was now curly.

"Yeah, she was lucky we found her. That stretch of road isn't used often, unlike the main highways, this one is mostly used for scenic routes. That girl, she was incredibly lucky she wasn't found like that kid on the main route."

"The dead body, mind telling me about it?"

A while later Jenna was looking at the body of missing college student Zack Eypor. As she suspected this guy was drained of blood.

"He looks like a raisin poor guy." Jenna has seen dead bodies before but never got used to it. "And he was dead for how long?" She looked at his neck.

"A body like this, a few months. But based on my estimates less than two days when he was found. These killers, are they part of a deadly cult?" The coroner heard the news about the other murders from the nearby towns.

"That's what I'm going to find out. Thanks for your time." When Jenna left she saw Murphy walking in. She barely acknowledged his nod only walking by like she didn't see him. "Really? I'll do my investigation while you do yours." She grumbled as she walked out. When she saw a note on her seat, she rolled her eyes. "I told you, I'm done." But when she opened it she couldn't believe it. "Shit." She puts on her helmet and drives away.

Jenna yawned where was this guy? The note asked her to meet at an all-night diner. She was on her fifth cup, it was close to midnight. She thanked the waitress when she poured her another cup. Just as Jenna took a sip of the bitter cup, she saw her contact walking in. She waited till he saw her, she didn't want to draw attention to herself by waving or standing up.

"Miss Jenna?" Ryan recognized her easily, not by her looks but by her scent.

"Not here. I have my bike, let's go for a drive." She throws down some bills. "Hang on, I rented a helmet just for you."

A while later Jenna and Ryan were sitting on a bench in a dark campground, her motorcycle a few feet away.

"My dad. He changed." Ryan looked down at his hands in guilt. "It was all my fault."

"Start at the beginning. What happened to Scotland?" Jenna gave him some fresh blood, she bribed a clinic worker for a bag.

"It was a few months ago. We just got back from Scotland, Dad didn't like how strict everything was over there so we moved back home. Everything was fine, he got a job working, and I was going to a regular school like everyone else." He didn't open the blood bag, seeing human blood made him sick. "I got careless. Because of me, Dad changed."

FLASHBACK

"Ryan! Don't try to talk!" Gayle had tears streaming down his face. His only child had a large gash on his neck.

"I'm...so...rr.." Ryan gurgled. He was choking on his blood.

"Just hang on!" Gayle wondered if there was a witch nearby that could help.

"I got careless, I was out hunting for food. I didn't know a hunter was in the area."

Gayle was desperately trying to stop the bleeding but it was useless. Ryan's wounds were too deep.

"Daaaddd." Ryan groaned. His eyesight was getting dark.

"Hold on Ryan. I'm calling for help." Gayle was going to call Scotland and demand them to send a healer.

"A hunter saw me drinking from a rabbit and cut me open. He wanted to send a message, that vampires weren't welcome in his town."

"My son is hurt!" Gayle was screaming at the person on the other side of the phone. "You have magic! Send your fairie! I can pay anything!" Gayle was kicking himself for leaving Knox. "Tell Kyra I can work for free!"

A present-day Ryan sighed. He touched his neck.

"I wasn't decapitated, but I should have been dead, my neck was severed down to my spine." Ryan remembered how much pain he was in. "Dad, he went out looking for me when I didn't come home from curfew."

Gayle was trying not to cry, he knew there was nothing he could do.

"I'm sorry son." Gayle was praying hard, but he knew it was too late. Just as he finished his prayer, he heard a knock.

"A man came in. He was the one that healed me." Ryan tilted his head, there were no scars present. "Dad, he made a Deal."

"Did Kyra send you?" Gayle didn't flinch at the sight of the yellow eyes. He knew who Kyra was, he had no right to judge.

"I heard your prayers. I can heal your son."

"Hurry. Before it's too late." Gayle stepped aside to let the Man do his work.

"A demon." Dammit. Her investigation just got a lot more complicated.

"I was healed, but the price was huge." Ryan wished Gayle let him die instead. "A lot of people died because of me."

Ryan tried not to show emotions as the female vampire ripped off the hunter's neck.

"What have I been missing all this time?! Delicious!" Gayle's mate laughs as she drinks the now-dead man dry. "Gayle! You've been holding out!"

Ryan hated his dad's new friends. Unlike the vampires at Knox, these vampires were cold and mean.

"Food is food." Like Ryan, Gayle didn't care for human blood. "Drink up there's plenty." That hunter wasn't the only one Gayle brought over, he brought his two other buddies. He handed Ryan a puppy. "Eat. You need your strength."

Ryan sighed. He was looking up at the full moon.

"He always took one for himself, not to drink, but to call."

"That demon, was his name Azazel?" Jenna heard the stories from Dean. She knew demons talked to one another using goblets filled with human blood.

"I don't know. All I knew was that he ordered Dad's obedience. Dad made a nest to keep hunters busy by killing other hunters. He knew by doing that, no one would hunt demons, just vampires."

"That's why you called me." Jenna was getting a headache.

Ryan nodded.

"I couldn't call anyone else, only you could help. My dad, please save him." Ryan knew Gayle only did what he had to. Ryan was all he had.

"The girl, is she okay?" She knew she was the only one left behind.

"I don't know. I tried helping her, but Dad found out." Ryan freed her earlier, unfortunately, Gayle managed to catch up to them once they left the barn. "The other vampires, they'll be asleep by morning, you can get her out." Ryan knew Gayle wouldn't be there.

"And Gayle?" Jenna wasn't looking forward to hunting a whole nest of vampires by herself.

"He'll be at home. I have to get back before Dad realizes I'm gone." Ryan still had curfew, he was grounded for letting that girl escape.

"Need a ride?" Wherever that barn was, Jenna needed to know where it was.

Jenna and Ryan rode to an abandoned shack, Ryan assured her that it was empty.

"This is as far I can go. The barn is two miles from here. Jenna, be careful. These vampires, they are not ordinary ones." Unlike most vampires, these vampires were very choosy about their victims and were more organized than most. "Dad's mate, don't underestimate her, she's a lot smarter than she looks." She scared the hell out of him.

"Okay. But Ryan, if something goes wrong, please leave the area. Those hunters have friends." That hunter Jenna talked to, knew a lot of people.

"I'll head south. Miss Kyra says it's easier to hide in a jungle. I never liked the cold anyway." As much as he loved Scotland, he hated the winters.

"I'll make arrangements for your plane ticket. Take care, kid." Poor Ryan. Gayle, she didn't blame him for doing what he did. "Laura, DJ, Mommy will be home soon. I promise." No way was she leaving her kids as orphans.

Once Jenna drove away she wondered how she'd do this alone. She was pondering about that until she got back to her motel. "Speak of the devil." She saw a black car parked outside the motel.

Murphy was sitting on the bed wondering where Jenna was. Hearing a motorcycle pulling up he went to look out the window.

"Damn." He saw a large biker getting off a different Harley. He needed to see his lady hunter, he had news. He tensed hearing static noises coming from behind him.

"1200 volts, plus some extra. Don't try anything stupid." Jenna ordered. "Your hands."

Murphy put up his hands.

Jenna threw some cuffs by his feet.

"Put these on, I won't ask twice. Behind your back." Jenna didn't trust him. Once he was subdued Jenna ordered him to sit on a chair. "Don't move, I don't want any fancy martial arts." Jenna clicked on her modified taser another ten volts.

"You changed." Murphy was impressed. He carefully sat down on the hard chair, those cuffs, even in the dark knew he wouldn't be able to break them.

"I learned from the best." Murphy may have trained her well, but it was Dean who was her true teacher. "There's laws about stalking." Ohio laws were different, but she knew how protective Dean was. Murphy would be better off in a prison cell than face the Winchester justice.

"I tried to call, but I knew you won't answer."

"Can you blame me?" She didn't put down her taser. She sat across on the bed still aiming at him.

"No, I don't. Cole Turner, my condolences."

"I'll let Phoebe know." She cleared her throat. "What do you want?"

"I'll cut to the chase. Two kids are missing the next town over. Parents were found dead this morning."

"Vampires?"

"Yes. No witnesses, the family lived just out of town."

"Okay. But there's a missing girl as well." Jenna filled him in on what she knew, deliberately leaving out Ryan and Gayle's names.

"Okay. But you can't do this alone. Even your husband and brother would have trouble with this nest. We need to strategize."

"We can't leave that girl." She knew she was now on a ticking clock. Usually, vampires drained their victims dry almost immediately.

"It would be suicide to go, even in daylight. These vampires are way smarter than the average ones."

"Yeah." She thought about Ryan's words, how Gayle sold his soul. "I need a new ID." She already talked to the cops in town, like Dean, she changed IDs often.

"Already issued you one." He nodded to a small bag on the table. "I have your money inside."

Jenna tried not to show emotions, but she couldn't help but take a deep breath at the amount of cash he offered her.

"That's over a hundred grand. Hopefully, that's more than enough."

'That will be enough for Ryan and Gayle to start over.' Jenna thought.

"I've been doing my research. I wanted to call your husband, but he never got back to me."

"Because he wants you dead." She smirked seeing Murphy swallow. "You're lucky he's busy on a case. I'll tell him you're just a new hunter looking for advice."

"Thanks. We'll save that girl, plus the kids. But we need to talk to the authorities first. I need to see the crime scene, I have a hunch who we're after."

"Okay. But you have to understand I can't let you go until I do my tests." The cuffs were made out of silver, but she had to make sure. "Can I trust you not to cut my throat once I let you go?"

"And face your husband and his brother? He'll be pissed once you come back." Even Murphy couldn't figure out how they kept cheating death. "I need your help anyways, there's no one else."

Jenna handed him a towel, Murphy was soaked with the holy water.

"You have mouthwash?" Murphy's mouth tasted metallic, Jenna forced him to take a shot of warm blood.

"Dead man's blood." She saw his sick face. "Sorry, I had to make sure."

Murphy had to swallow his vomit.

"That's why I hired you. You sure you don't want to come back?" He had employees, but no one as well trained as Jenna.

"Can't. I'm working for two others now." Being a mom was a full-time job. "Besides I have a new career as well."

"I understand. Get some sleep, I'll pick you up in the morning." Once Murphy left, Jenna collapsed on her bed.

"Sorry about breaking my promise Dean." She sighed. Once she took off her clothes and makeup, she fell into a deep sleep.

Knock Knock.

Jenna finishes putting on her wig. She was already awake for a few hours now, her stomach full from her delivery breakfast.

"Ready to go?" Murphy was wearing his Fed suit.

"There are other choices than FBI." Once he handed her a wallet.

"I didn't have time to make a Marshal one. Or anything else." He smiled at her expression once she opened her fake ID.

"Really? These are the names you chose?" Jenna couldn't believe it. "I'll get recognized instantly." Her disguise looked nothing like her ID.

"Already took care of it. You're just a lookalike, your counterpart is in LA priming for her rumoured comeback." He backed away seeing her expression. "Sorry."

"Whatever." Wouldn't be the first time rumours started about her former career. "Let's go.

"Kripke and Singer FBI." Jenna tried not to roll her eyes. She got Kripke at least.

"Feds cover break and enters?" The Sheriff asked.

"We're covering everything, ma'am." Murphy already talked to her boss. Luckily the Head Sheriff didn't want to deal with the endless paperwork about the possible ties to a cult. "Can you fill us in?" She took off her disguise before they came here, she was sick of hiding anyway.

"Bodies were found by the school bus driver, door was left wide open."

"He checked the door?"

"He knew how paranoid the parents were about strangers, took them a year to let the kids use the bus to go to school. He found the parents with the kids gone and immediately called us."

"The bodies, were their necks ripped out?" Jenna was taking notes, she had to look the part of an Agent. She tried not to look over at the cops whispering in her direction. She hoped they didn't ask her for an autograph.

"Just the husband. His wife died from massive blood loss with her tongue missing."

"Really." Boy did that sound familiar. "Did the killers have skull masks?" Instead of writing notes, Jenna was drawing a picture.

"Yeah, how did you know that?" Before Jenna could answer, the other investigators called the Sheriff over. "Excuse me."

"Skull masks?" Murphy had a hunch, like other hunters he was looking for these vampires as well once he heard about it.

"Long story." Jenna nods at him to follow her. Once they were far enough she showed him her drawings. "This look familiar?"

"Yeah. But how?" Except for that one hunter he got the info from, no one knew who or what they were dealing with.

"Let's just say I have a hunch." Vampires were easy to kill, but Gayle was now involved. They needed more than dead man's blood and machetes.

"Any families within the town's radius, including any by any highway. Get them all out of their homes. They'll be striking tonight."

"I don't have that much manpower." He had his employees, plus some hunters' names, but there were too many homes to watch over.

"We just need a few hunters as bait. These may be more than the average vampires, but like most vamps, they won't be very smart." Jenna only needed one kill. The woman, Jenna hated that bitch with all of her being.

"What about that demon?" Murphy knew Jenna was holding something back but didn't push.

"We'll figure it out." She wished she had Dean's Gun. The Colt would have solved all their problems.

Later that night both were watching the barn.

"I see Lauren." The poor girl was covered in bruises, Gayle must've beaten her for running.

"Let's hope she didn't turn." The last client he had, lost her boyfriend when he was kidnapped. When he turned, his employee didn't have much of a choice but to cut off his head. Murphy had to tell that girl that it was too late. He gave her a full refund, but not before warning her to keep her mouth shut.

"Why are we hunting at night? Everyone is awake!" Everyone was outside drinking and laughing by a fire. "Plus the two kids." They were inside, at least Jenna hoped so.

"They'll be expecting us in the morning. They'll have someone wide awake waiting. This way they'll be caught off guard."

"We're outnumbered." They already knew two vamps were dead, Murphy's contact already texted him telling him the news. There were still four, not including Gayle. Jenna glared at the woman vampire, she was drinking a beer bragging about how good Gayle was in bed.

"We just need to separate them. I'll take the big guy." An overweight vampire was eating a raw rabbit.

"And how are you separating him from the herd?" Vampires didn't like being alone, his mate was right beside him holding him.

"He needs to pee sometime." Sure enough, the rabbit eater gets up announcing he needs to take a piss.

"Okay, what about the other three." She wished Piper was here, she could blow all of them up in a second.

"Worry about the victims. They'll be looking for their friend once he doesn't come back."

"What about you?" Jenna didn't trust Murphy, but he was still human.

"I had the best training in the world from the best teachers, including a few hunters in the CIA." He saw her incredulous expression. "How do you think we started that program all those years ago?" The super soldier program was a major bust, the hunter CIA Agents that trained them said it was a pipe dream anyway. "Go. You have two minutes, tops."

"Roger." Picking up her machete and sheath, she wraps it around her waist. "You have the blood?" She gave him a few vials.

"Enough to put each in a coma. Go!" He whispered.

"Yea." Jenna hoped they were too drunk and loud to hear her footsteps. Once she reached the barn, she climbed up the haystacks to go through the open window on top. "Thanks Ryan." Ryan must've known she'd be coming. Being very careful not to make too much noise, she hurries to where Lauren is. "Psst. Don't make a noise." Poor Lauren was whimpering. "I'm not a vampire. I'm going to free you, but not before warning you there will be two kids that you need to take to safety."

"So...thirsty." Lauren knew her jaw was broken, Gayle and his girlfriend had beaten her senseless the day before.

"There's a shack two miles from here. We left a cell for you to call 911. They'll be there in no time." She knew Ryan wasn't there, Gayle wouldn't want him in danger.

"Tired."

"Just hang on okay?" Once she was freed, she helps her up. Where are the kids?" She looked out the window, the vampires were still drinking.

"Back." It hurt to talk.

"Go right and don't stop running. Here." She breaks the vial of blood and rubs it on her neck. "The smell will be a turnoff, they won't touch you." She hoped she had enough blood for the two kids.

"Thanks." She whispered.

Jenna looked out the window to see a vampire standing up. "Two down." She wasn't worried about Skull Face, it was Jenny, Gayle's mate. "Can't wait to kill that bitch." Jenna hated her smug face, Ryan deserved better.

Once she escorted Lauren out with the two boys, Jenna led them to the woods. "Go right, but be careful. If you see a teenager, don't be scared. He was just following orders." She hoped Ryan didn't frighten Lauren. It was he who inadvertently got Lauren beaten.

Once they were gone, Jenna walked back towards the barn, she had a score to settle.

"Ahhh!" Jenna screamed when she got grabbed.

"Mrs Winchester. Son of a bitch." A vampire was standing in front of Jenna, her Skull-Masked partner holding the female hunter. "Where's your husband?" Jenny expected the Winchesters, but Dean's wife? Their master would be pleased, both Dean and Sam would throw down their weapons for their cow.

"Somewhere." No way was she telling Jenny she was alone, hopefully Murphy was close by.

"Not much of a talker aren't you?" Jenny touched her face. "I used to be a fan of yours, even after I turned. Why did you quit? Hunting doesn't pay squat."

"It got old." Jenna said truthfully. Like all jobs, she got burnt out. She kept her face neutral, she didn't want to give this bitch the satisfaction of seeing her anger.

"What do you think? Should we drain her, turn her, or keep her as a trophy?" Before her partner could answer his head fell off his body.

When Jenny backed away in fear, Jenna was wondering what Murphy was doing to scare her. She pushed the dead vampire's arms off her body.

"No. No no no no. That's impossible." Jenny couldn't believe it. Just as she showed off her fangs, a swish of a blade interrupted her.

SLICE!

"Damn Murph." Yuck. Her clothes will be a bitch to clean. "Watch the knife! You almost took my head off!" She and Jenny were about the same height. Just as she turned around to thank Murphy, the blood drained off her body. "Who...Who are you?" Jenna almost tripped over Jenny's dead body backing away.

The hunter put his finger over their lips.

"The vampire, he's about to call his master. Your partner, he's in trouble." They hand Jenna a bottle. "Holy water mixed with dead man's blood. It won't kill Gayle, but it will weaken him. Hurry. The shack."

"The shack. No, I sent Lauren there with the kids." Jenna felt sick knowing she sent three innocent people to their deaths.

"They're fine, Ryan took them to a hospital. Go."

"Yes." Jenna had a lot of questions but now wasn't the time. She grabs the bottle and runs out, hopefully her Harley wasn't sabotaged.

Jenna's hair was flowing behind her as she rode, she forgot to put on her helmet, but she didn't care. She revved her engine to go faster.

"I'm coming, Gayle!" She hoped it wasn't too late. She rode faster the shack was a minute away. Once she arrived she hops off her bike and grabs her machete. Immediately a vampire comes growling out of the darkness.

"Arghhh!"

Jenna calmly slices off his head. She had to focus, otherwise, she'd lose, not just her life, but also Ryan's and Murphy's. She stabbed another in the stomach before slicing her neck. No one could survive massive blood loss, already she could hear the female vampire choking on her blood.

"You hunters are all the same."

"Gayle." She runs ahead, diving underneath a bald vampire, but not before slicing her machete upwards.

The vampire screams as he holds his crotch which was sliced upwards towards his abdomen.

Jenna walked ahead towards the shack, hopefully Gayle could be reasoned with.

"Gayle!" The last time she saw Gayle he had short hair. His hair was now longer than Sam's.

"Back! Otherwise, I'll break his neck." Gayle had Murphy's head in his hands. Murphy was begging Jenna with his eyes to save him. "All we wanted was to be left alone. But no, this world wouldn't allow that." He was trembling in rage.

"I sent you and Ryan away to stay safe." Jenna's voice was interrupted when Gayle let out a dark laugh.

"Us? Safe? There's nowhere to run! That school was an illusion! Everyone thinks they're safe there, but I saw nothing but death! My son, I had to protect him!" He squeezed Murphy tighter making Murphy scream in agonizing pain.

"Ryan called me to save you! That demon, he is manipulating you!" All demons were liars, but Azazel was one of the worst. "Ryan, he called me to save you!"

"I don't care. It's too late. The end of the world is coming, and I need my son strong. My master, he can protect him." He throws Murphy to the ground. When his eyes go black, Jenna throws her mixed concoction to Murphy.

"Hurry!" Jenna ordered. Once Murphy splashes Gayle with the potion, Jenna starts chanting.

"Aufer hoc malum hinc, abi servus diabodi! Be gone from this man, evil servant of the devil!" Jenna screamed. When black smoke flies out of Gayle, she rushes over to Murphy. "Are you okay?" She helps him up.

"I'll live." Murphy's jaw was killing him. He screamed when his leg was grabbed. "Arghhhhh!"

"Oh no you don't!" Jenna grabs her machete and cuts off Gayle's hand.

"Argh! You bitch!" Just as Gayle lunges at the couple, he drops dead as his head drops off his body.

Ryan had tears streaming down his cheeks holding Murphy's blade.

"That man wasn't my dad. He was a monster."

Jenna was holding Ryan, he was all alone now.

"I'm sorry Ryan." Jenna was watching the fire burning, Gayle needed to rest. Murphy was cleaning up the scene by burning the other bodies in a heap a few feet away. She and Ryan built a small pyre for Gayle, putting his late wife Miranda's necklace in his hands. "The demon inside, it's gone. Gayle, he loved you very much." She knew her tiny chant would work, that holy water wasn't ordinary holy water. That hunter, Jenna swore to keep their identity a secret. Her necklace was gone, that hunter asked for it, trading it for his magical potion.

"He only did this to protect me. Dad." Ryan cried in Jenna's arms. He sobbed harder crying for his dad. "Daddy."

"Shhh. Shhh. It's okay." Jenna soothed. "We'll make sure you're safe. Your dad, I made a promise to always keep you safe." Jenna rubbed Ryan's hair, her mom always did that to reassure her scared children. "Cry all you need, I'm not going anywhere."

"Are you sure about this?" Murphy was holding a gas can, Jenna insisted there was one more burn.

"Very." She never wanted to see this place ever again. "I know my husband, he wouldn't go out by a rebar." Jenna hated that episode, Dean deserved better. She watched as Murphy splashed the barn, covering almost everything with gas. "Don't forget this." She was holding the deadly weapon, she wanted to melt this down somewhere else. She was determined to change Dean's fate. She handed him her lighter. "Hasta la vista." She and Murphy watched the barn go up in flames.

"Bye Dad." He was glad to see this place burn, this is where Jenny seduced Gayle.

"Will Ryan be okay?" She was sitting on her bike, she and Murphy were saying goodbye. She handed back the money, it wasn't hers to keep.

"He's still in high school. Don't worry, I'll make sure he has a normal life, I'll never let him in the Life." Murphy was semi-retiring from his 'job,' he needed to keep Ryan safe. "I have homes down south, some under a trust. No one will ever know." Murphy already drew up Ryan's and Gayle's death certificates as well as his own.

"Take care." She and Murphy shake hands. The rebar, or nail as some fans call Dean's death weapon was melted and gone. Jenna gave the liquid the middle finger. "Make sure he keeps up his grades." She knew how much Gayle valued Ryan's education.

"I will. Goodbye, Jenna." Murphy waved goodbye as the taxi showed up, they were heading to Cleveland to head to the airport. "Give Piper my regards." Piper and her sisters were forced to work for him for a short time back when he was a Government Agent.

"Bye." Jenna watches as the taxi pulls away. Just as she was about to kick her bike to start her engine, her phone rang. "About time." Dean was supposed to call, letting her know what he was doing in New York. "Hello?" When Jenna got the news, she started screaming. "DEAN!"

Castiel was holding Sergei's box in his hands. Why did Segei keep this? And why give it away?

"Only the witch can use this...The witch will know what to do."

"Sam." Castiel knew this was only meant for him. Just how was he going to get this to him? Supernatural Sam, was done with hunting. Cas sighed. He needed a drink.

"Bobby? Where are you?"

"Just a minute! Idjit." That was Dean? "You have a cold son?" His voice sounded different. Where was that darn light switch?

"C'mon, the food getting cold!"

"The peanut butter banana sandwiches?"

"I was talking about the pizza! Bobby! You're going to miss the movie!"

"Alright son!" Damn kids. "Finally." Once Bobby turned on the switch, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Balls."

Instead of his surly, middle-aged bearded self, he was staring at a cartoon, no animated version of himself in the mirror.

"Damn, what did you do to me?"
